We
can look at our history and proclaim that God is good and His mercy
endures forever. He has delivered manifold blessings to us as
individuals and as the Body of Christ. Just think of what God has
done in your personal life. Reflect upon what He has done in the
Church, locally and worldwide. God is still on the Throne and is
still in charge of His plan. He has brought us such a long, long way.
But
today is a new day. We must walk with God today in His revelation for
today. His eternal plan does not change but our perspective and role
may change as prophecy unfolds before us. God wants us to continue in
His awesome presence and receive His guidance and inspiration daily.
We must stay the course and push forward. The mission ahead will not
be easy but we can do all things through Christ Jesus. I feel the
Holy Spirit calling for a new spiritual offensive. The Body of Christ
is being attacked as never before in our lifetime. It is time to take
the fight to the enemy. Through the power, authority and anointing of
the Holy Ghost, we can knock him back on his heels and overcome him.
I have always heard “the best defense is a good offense.” Will we
dare to enter the enemy's camp? Will we dare to take back what the
enemy has stolen? We must feel compelled to do that very thing!
I
am reminded frequently of what Satan has taken from us. He has come
into our domain and taken away our precious treasures. He has stolen
our lineage, our heritage, our future!
Psalm
127:3, “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of
the womb is his reward. 4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man;
so are children of the youth. 5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver
full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with
the enemies in the gate.” David says that children are our heritage
and a reward from God, given to us according to God's good pleasure.
David is speaking specifically to the value of sons and their ability
to defend the family. They will meet the enemy at the gate. They
belong to God and to us. The enemy has no right to them. He has
brazenly come into our house and stolen them! The very hand of God is
against him.
As
Spirit-filled believers, we stand in the power of God. Acts 1:8, “But
ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:
and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all
Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Jesus promised that power would accompany the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit. But, just what kind of power was he talking about? The word
“power” is translated from the Greek “dunamis” which
means-strength, power, ability, inherent power residing in a thing by
virtue of its nature. The power of Almighty God resides within the
life of a believer by virtue of the nature of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore the believer is empowered in the Holy Ghost to confront the
enemy and deliver a resounding defeat. Satan is already defeated by
the Power of God. (To be continued), The Message: A Critical Review
