I Run To Jesus! by Myra Boozer

When my heart can't find direction and my thoughts are running wild, I run to my Savior and I begin to cry. He dries my tears with hands of mercy and looks into my eyes. He knows my burdens and that my tears are for those for whom He died. I tell Him all my secrets and allow Him to mend my wounds. I tell Him how my heart breaks for those that I hold dear, for those who once loved Him but walked away and left Him far behind, for those who are now lonely and feeling exhausted by this life. I call out to Him and ask that He would speak softly, just call out their name. Help them to see there is a better way! Help them to see you Lord, the person that you are, the Son of God and Redeemer of this world!

Lord, would You send someone to talk to them, someone they will listen to? Maybe a neighbor, a friend, or a stranger...Someone who would remind them of the treasure they once had and cause them to quickly turn and run to You...because You will be running to them with open arms of mercy, forgiveness, and New Life. You have not forgotten them! You love them still the same! On the cross, You died for all who will call upon Your Name. I Run To Jesus!

What Would Jesus Do?

What would Jesus do if He were with us right now? How would He react to all the tragic events taking place in our world? What would He propose as the solution to our dilemma? If He literally walked among us today, I suppose He would behave much the same way He did when He walked the streets of Jerusalem and the shores of Galilee. He would still be calling disciples, opening blinded eyes and deaf ears, healing all manner of diseases, and raising the dead. I suppose He would still be turning the money changers out of the places of worship, chastising the religious leaders for their selfish goals, and constantly reforming the way we conduct church to ensure that the focus of our worship is the Lord God, Father of all. I suppose He would still take charge of nature by causing the winds to be still and the boisterous waves to be at peace.

What a difference He would make if He were literally, physically here with us. He would speak peace to the storms that disrupt our daily lives and take our innocent ones from us. He would speak deliverance to the captives, those captured by the destructive and perverse plans of Satan. He would open the eyes and ears of those who are imprisoned by deception and false religion. He would openly and decisively challenge the egregious behavior that has invaded His house. He would put the devil in his place by casting him out and confining him to the pit of hell.  What a difference Jesus would make!

Oh! But wait! He is here! He lives in the heart of every Spirit-filled believer in the person of His Holy Spirit. What a difference He wants to make through you and me! Let us give ourselves wholly to Him and see Him bring good tidings to the meek, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, and open the prison to them that are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of our Lord. Thy Kingdom Come! by Myra Boozer

Mark 1:15 “...The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

I would love to feed all the hungry...wrap my arms around the broken and mend them. I would love to wipe the tears from all the lonely and crushed...mend the bruised and battered, release those who are in bondage by the enemy...set the captives free...hold all the babies that are unwanted...care for all the elderly who are forsaken...heal every sickness and diseased person on the face of the earth...stop every evil and depraved thought that enters the mind of the youth...I would guard them from all evil. I would mend every marriage and bring every family into unity with God...strengthen every person who shares the Word of God and give them HOPE of many souls being saved, delivered, and set free. I would love to do all this! I am limited but JESUS is NOT! I can share JESUS and He can do this for all who will REPENT and BELIEVE!

I WOULD SHUT THE MOUTH OF THE LIONS THAT ARE TRYING TO DEVOUR ALL WHO ARE GOOD AND RIGHTEOUS...I WOULD STOP ALL THE LIES AND CORRUPTION OF THE EVIL AND EGOTISTIC WHO ARE HUNGRY FOR STATUS IN THIS WORLD...I WOULD BIND EVERY EVIL SPIRIT THAT RAISES ITS UGLY HEAD AGAINST HUMANITY...I WOULD SHUT DOWN ALL THE PLACES THAT OFFER ENTICEMENT TO THOSE WHO ARE WEAK AND UNSTABLE...I WOULD STOP MURDER, HATE, AND EVERY ABOMINATION...I WOULD STOP ALL FALSE TEACHINGS AND DOCTRINES OF DEVILS...I WOULD BRING ABOUT A NEW WORLD WHERE THE LAMB WILL LAY DOWN WITH THE LION...I AM LIMITED! BUT, JESUS IS NOT! JESUS WILL DO ALL THIS WHEN HE COMES RIDING ON HIS WHITE HORSE WITH FIRE IN HIS EYES, WEARING MANY CROWNS...HIS NAME IS CALLED THE WORD OF GOD...HE SHALL RULE WITH A ROD OF IRON. HE WILL PUT EVERYTHING IN ITS PROPER PLACE...We are getting closer and closer to that DAY! Lord Jesus, Thy Kingdom Come!

What Do We Do When Confronted By The Enemy? Conclusion

(for part 1 see 2/25/24)

God sent young David to the battlefield that day because He needed a champion and He had chosen David. He didn’t choose someone who would be measured as a warrior. The king’s armor would not fit this ruddy young lad but nevertheless, he was God’s champion. He left the field that day with a resounding victory because he gave himself into the hands of God.

The Body of Christ is facing its own spiritual giants. At the same time, the Holy Spirit is raising up God’s Champions to render the enemy helpless and deliver a resounding victory. We know how this will end. God will be the victor! But are we willing to answer God’s call and become His Champion for His cause? David used what was familiar to him, his faith in God and his slingshot. He became a willing participant in God’s cause. Will you give yourself without reservation into the hands of God and become a willing participant in His cause?

Remember the One we represent! We are covered by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is POWER in the NAME of JESUS! He will vanquish every foe and cause us to triumph over every evil plan of the enemy.  Give yourself wholly into His hands and become His CHAMPION? Thanks be to God who gives us the VICTORY today and forever through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Good News! by Myra Boozer

Singing the old songs and hymns can really make one homesick for Heaven and for our loved ones who are already there. Listening to these songs carries one into a place where the heart swells with love for our Lord Jesus. He is the one who has done so much for all of us...not just a few, a specific people, or a particular nationality...BUT FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE! That includes YOU...

He gave His all for YOU, whoever you are! If you're feeling lonely, forsaken, lost, and hopeless, I have good news for you. You are not forgotten! Jesus knows you by name! He desires to forgive you and heal your broken heart. He wants a relationship with you like no one you have ever known. He will be your constant companion and friend, your provider, your confidant, and your Savior. He will carry you through this life and take you to His Home when this life is over.

Just look up and give yourself in total surrender to Him. He sees every tear you cry and He knows just how you feel. You see, He too is forsaken and forgotten by so many today. Many who have in the past called Him Lord and Master have fallen into the trap of Satan. They have fallen for his lies and tried to make it without God. They are now bruised and battered by Satan. They were blinded by his influence as they were drawn away by their own lust. Some who were reaching for a higher level of fame and fortune have only fallen deeper and deeper into Satan's scheme of destruction. They are almost destroyed by this enemy, feeling rejected and hopeless.

GOOD NEWS! It isn't too late because He still knows you by name. He knows your MOTHER’S NAME AND YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S NAME. HE REMEMBERS THOSE WHO PRAYED MANY PRAYERS FOR THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN and He is answering those prayers. He also knows those who had no one to pray for them. He knows where you are and HE is there with you as you read this. Fall into His arms of Mercy! It's not too late but the time to seek Him is when He is calling. If you feel Him speaking to YOUR heart, Don't delay! Answer, Yes Lord! If you don't feel HIM, Cry out until you do feel Him! "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit..." Psalm 34:18. That is the Good News!

What Do We Do When Confronted By The Enemy?

1 Samuel 17:40, “And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine...45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand;...”

What is the significance of the smooth stones that David chose? The smooth stones were more aerodynamic. They would fly straight. David knew this not because he had studied physics at the University of Jerusalem. He knew this through his own practical experience with a slingshot. This was a tried and true weapon in the hands of a proficient champion. David used what he had in his hands. He used what he knew best, his faith in the Lord God of Israel and his slingshot. The combination of the two was a sure formula for victory.

What do we do when confronted by the enemy? Much like the armies of Israel when confronted by the Philistines and their champion, we stand motionless in fear at the very prospect of defeat. Thoughts of doubt and uncertainty flood our minds and cause us to lose heart. In our minds, we are defeated already! And if that is our mindset, then we are defeated before we even engage the enemy. Let us be reminded of who we represent. We enter the plain of battle in the name of the same Lord God Jehovah that David represented. We have the same resources! Use what is in your hand and trust God! (continued)

The Blood Of Jesus Washes Me! by Myra Boozer

Oh, to be washed in the Blood of the Lamb. Thank you Lord for your provision for all our sin. No greater sacrifice than what you have made, that we might be counted worthy of forgiveness. I accept your love for me today and I want to follow you in all your ways...”not my will but thine be done.” This is not an easy prayer but you are so much higher than me Lord, and you can see the big picture so I must Trust you to work your will in my life. I guess that means I surrender to you, at this moment...help me to stay surrendered. Lord, sometimes that path is uncertain and uncharted and you must hold my hand. Sometimes even carrying me for the way seems long, hard, and scary. I love you Lord! Help me to love you more each day! The Blood Of Jesus Washes Me!

Restoration In The Name Of Jesus!

2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Although these passages refer to God’s relationship with Israel, the Word defines a universal principle and characteristic of our Heavenly Father. God is the God of restoration. It is His nature to put lives back together. When we come to Him on His terms and meet His conditions, He will bring restoration to our lives.

God’s promise to Israel was to restore what they had lost or what had been taken from them. God is no respecter of persons and that promise is relevant to any believer in any generation. Satan does not want you to embrace that Promise. But through the blood of Jesus Christ, you are brought into the family of God. You are a Child of God as a Believer. As a blood-bought Child of God, we can declare in the power and authority of the Name of Jesus that the enemy release what he has stolen from us. If we believe, the key will turn in the lock, the lock will fall free and the doors will swing open wide at the command of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Believe the Promise God has given you. By faith declare that the enemy loose what is yours and set you free. He has no other option but to comply.

God will restore what Satan has stolen from you! Take back your life and be restored in the Power of Jesus Christ! We pray it in Jesus’ Name! Amen!

Put Jesus First! by Myra Boozer

We are told in the Word..."But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things will be added unto you," Matthew 6:33. You know "all these things" that we all pursue on a regular basis, jobs, so we can pay our bills, buy food, have shelter, and wear clothes. We all desire clean, organized homes with a great meal prepared for the family in the evening. Not to forget the beautiful lawn with flowers and a nice clean car to drive. Then there is entertainment and of course, relaxation because we are exhausted by the end of the day. These things are not wrong but they can lead us on a collision course if we are not careful. We usually come to a quick STOP and then we cry out, "Lord, where are You? Come and come quickly because we are in great need of YOU. Yes Lord we need YOU, not tomorrow but right now.”

I have heard people say, "God has GOT to do something" and do it quickly. But remember He is giving us the formula in Matthew 6:33. Even with following the formula, bad things can still happen to anyone but during those times we KNOW He is "working all things for our good" because we are His. We have not forgotten "that no weapon formed against us shall prosper."  We hold to every promise in the book because they belong to us as God's Children.

I saw a post with someone speaking about giving ourselves an option. When you set your clock you can set it with the snooze control which gives you the option to either get up or lay there until the next alarm goes off. He said the Lord spoke to his heart and said, "As long as you have an option you will use it." But with God, we do not need to think we have an option. It must be Jesus first and foremost in our lives. Our desire must be to Seek Him First. The other things will come.

There are many times during the day to talk to the Lord. As you desire HIM, you will find ways to talk to him and about him. Carry a worshipful attitude in your heart all day long. I remember a dear saint telling me, "To pray without ceasing is to pray while you work." I want to be up and about my Father's business and I sure don't want to be snoozing when the trumpet sounds! Put Jesus First!

The Living Word! Conclusion

(for part 1 see 2/19/24)

It is important for us to understand that God, in all his awesomeness, is fully approachable through Jesus Christ. John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Ryrie says the logos concept, “here is applied to Jesus who is all that God is and an expression of Him. The Word is said to be with God (IE., in communion with and yet distinct from God) and to be God (IE., identical in essence with God).” Sounds awesome, right? That believers have full access to such a magnanimous person. But, we do in Jesus Christ. God wants us to know Him so that we can fully know ourselves in Him.

We have no need to be fearful and afraid. Jesus became our mediator with God when we accepted His sacrifice at Calvary. Because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we have the boldness to draw near to God, and through our mediator, Jesus, we bring our petitions to Him. He invites us to come boldly before the throne of grace and make our petitions known to Him. This is a very important attribute of our relationship with God. In the presence of God, we will discover who we are in Jesus Christ. He will define the terms and boundaries of our mission by the revelation and leading of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. He is The Living Word!

Lord Jesus, Be Real In Me! by Myra Boozer

Wash me clean Lord and help me to see my motives in all I say and do. May my thoughts and actions come from you and not from any legalism or idea I may have gathered along the way. Sometimes our concept of how to get your attention may be different from what you want to hear at all. It is not necessarily the one that sings the best or has the best testimony of deliverance. Those things can make us feel good in our own eyes but distract us from what you're really looking for in us.

Men watch us and judge us by what they see and hear. But You Lord, You judge our motives. Lord, it is not always in our accomplishments that we get your attention but in our weaknesses, in our deficiencies. In that time of facing defeat, we cry out for your mercy, and standing all alone, we become very real with YOU. We need you to be very firm with us because our days are running out and we are coming to the DAY when we will stand before you the Righteous Judge and hear you call our Name. Our deeds will be judged righteous or wicked. I want to be clean and acceptable in your eyes Lord because we cannot hide under a cloak of pretense. It will not matter what we or anyone thinks of us but what you know about us. I want to be real with you Lord...never fake or phony...but genuine and pure...Amen. Lord Jesus, Be Real In Me!

The Living Word!

John 1:14, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” Jesus is the focus here. The Word was made flesh and lived among mortal flesh. The Greek term for “word” is “logos.” Revelation is the idea contained in the perception of “logos.” The Word is the revelation of the Triune God. Triune being three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

1 John 1:1, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” Therefore we can conclude that the essence of God is fully accessible by mortal flesh through Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost. (continued)

Remember Your Promise! by Myra Boozer

Many have made a promise to the Lord to spread His Gospel message to a lost and dying world. Maybe when you got saved, when you were in Revival hearing the Word of God and had a real "revelation" of what Hell is going to be like for all those who do not accept Christ... Maybe when you were at Youth Camp sitting around a big fire after the sun had gone down... You were given a pine cone to throw in the fire that represented your commitment to share salvation with a lost world.

All of these and more happened in my life and as a child, I knew God had a plan for me. I am sure I could have done more but it has been my life's purpose to help people know JESUS. I cannot stop now! We are too close to the coming of the Lord! More than ever, we must REMEMBER our promise to tell others. Tell people about JESUS the Son of God coming as a baby born in Bethlehem to become the Savior of the world. And, tell people about HIS SECOND COMING as KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS to establish the KINGDOM OF GOD and RULE AND REIGN FOREVER! Remember Your Promise!

Rediscover Your Identity In Jesus Christ!

Malachi 3:7, “Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?”

We find numerous passages in the Bible where God instructed His people to repent and return to Him. How can that be relevant to the Body of Christ? Because our attention can be easily diverted from the vision we have of God's work and our mission. We are easily distracted from God's business so we need Him to remind us often of where we are and what we need to be doing. We need the Holy Spirit to reveal where we have slipped away and where we need to return.

Enabled by the Holy Ghost, go back to the inception of the vision. Go back to where you started. Examine anew your decision to follow Christ, your mission, and your purpose. What was your perception of your relationship then and where are you now? What has changed? What about the vision needs your attention? Initially, it was all about Jesus, the truth of God's Word, and His commission. We must allow the Holy Spirit to open the windows of our souls to the revelation of His perfect truth and how that will be implemented through our lives!

Come Up Higher! by Myra Boozer

Lord Jesus, push back the darkness that is coming against every child of God. Lord, please help us to delight in your Light and your never ending Love. Set our feet on a clear path and give our minds and hearts a deep understanding of who you are, our creator and the Father of all mankind! You love like no other. You are our constant friend who will stand by us when the whole world is sound asleep. You are never far but always near. You come, and call us to come up higher, high above the sad and the gloom that tries to hide your love from us.

You call for us all to open our eyes and see all your beauty. You call us to know you by name, and recognize your loving voice. You call us to hold your hand, and know that you are our Protector. You pick us up, and carry us when we can no longer walk on our own. You are the one who rescues us when the winds of evil blow across our path. You wipe our tears and wash our face. You reassure us of who we are, and who YOU are, Our Loving Father. You will never leave us and never forsake us as You invite us to Come Up Higher!

What Does It Mean To Be Holy? Conclusion

(for part 1 see 2/14/24)

Ephesians 5:25, “...Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”

There appears to be some confusion among secular churches about the definition of “holiness.” How can we embrace holiness and sin at the same time? Sure, we need to identify with the struggles of the sinner but we cannot accept the life of sin. And neither can the sinner if he or she wants to be truly free. Sin is a weight. Its destructive powers are like a malignant cancer with its invasive tentacles reaching into every fiber of the human body. The cancer must be identified and eradicated. It is the work of the Holy Ghost to identify the sin in us. It is the work of the same Holy Ghost to destroy the sin as one repents and walks in the redeeming power of the blood of Jesus bringing captive every thought and deed.

We must serve notice to Satan. We must tell him that he cannot exert his influence in our lives. He needs to know that he is not welcome. He needs to feel the fervor of the Holy Spirit when he comes calling. He needs to know that this house is under the supervision of the Lord God Almighty.

Holiness is not adherence to a creed, doctrine or religious ritual. Holiness is the result of spiritual transformation created in the heart of the believer by the indwelling of the Spirit of God. Thereby the believer becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus, born anew from above. John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Holiness is an attribute of the new heart created in the life of the believer. Being born from above, the believer receives his guidance from our Father above and reflects that guidance in every facet of his life.

The child will manifest the attributes of the father! The Father is holy! So are His children!

Where Love Grows! by Myra Boozer

Love is such a delight...It flows from Heaven and spills over into our everyday lives like honey running down our hands. We hustle to capture and savor every last drop. But when the evening comes to an end...and the sun begins to go down behind the trees...and all that is seen is the closing of another day...my heart begins to recall the sweetness in the gentle laughter and the tender smile of a little lad...who has held our hearts and made us smile, giggle and laugh out loud. His innocent little face with those big blue eyes and locks of curly blond hair...how they run through my mind. They are like strands of gold upon a deep blue ocean. They are priceless and seem to never end. He calls out in fun to play and we must not delay...for he calls us to come into his world where there is no list of chores or duties to perform...He calls us loud and strong and we must surrender for that is where love grows and overflows and we hustle to capture and savor every moment…

Psalm 127:3, “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

God Loves You!

John 3:14, “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

Our frail human mind cannot fully comprehend the magnitude of God’s love for us. How can someone whom we have not known previously be willing to sacrifice His only Son for our benefit? Romans 5:6, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.”

When we did not realize how wretched, vile, reprobate, and lost we were, God had planned for our total and complete deliverance! Through the precious blood offering of His Son Jesus, the pure and spotless Lamb of God, the penalty for sin was paid. When barely for a righteous man and possibly for a good man some would dare to die, God loved us when we were still sinners. Christ died for us and we are justified by His blood. We are saved from the wrath of God as we look to the cross and believe. When the sin in us made us enemies of God we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son. We have now received life through the atonement for our sin by Christ Jesus. He died and rose again to provide our deliverance and free us from sin's curse and sin’s punishment.

God’s desire is for all men everywhere to be saved. 1 Timothy 2:4, “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all...” God has prepared the way through the gift of His only Son. The penalty for sin has been paid. All one needs to do is repent of his sins and accept the Lordship of Christ in his life. God Loves You!

If you are tired of what sin has done to your life and want to be FREE from the curse of sin and sin’s punishment, Pray this prayer with me! “Lord Jesus Christ, Thank You for paying the penalty for my sin. I believe You gave Your life to ransom my life. I believe You died on the cross but You rose victorious over death, hell and the grave on the third day just as You had promised. I’m tired of my life of sin. From this moment forward, I give my life to You. You paid the ransom for my sin. I belong to You. Use me now for Your honor and glory and give me an eternal home with You in heaven. Thank You Lord Jesus for Loving me! Amen!”

Purity Precedes Peace! by Myra Boozer

There are so many voices in our world today and I seem to be one of them. I believe that all those who love God and are the called according to His purpose must sound the alarm and tell people what the Bible has to say. 1 Peter 4:7 reads, "The end of all things is at hand (near): be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer." To watch means to be awake, alert in order to guard.

Have you ever been so overtaken by something...bad news...or an accident...that you felt your senses were dulled and you could not pray? We must seek God to temper (qualify) us for those times ahead...that we will be alert and sober minded so we can pray.

I find myself needing to know what to pray and how to pray. I need wisdom, not wisdom that the world gives but wisdom from God...James 1:5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” The word “upbraideth” means to rebuke severely, censure, scold. So, we don't have to worry that God is not interested in giving us wisdom. If we ask, He will give liberally and without rebuke or scolding. This is a wonderful promise.

To continue from a recent submission on the description of wisdom from the book of James 3:17-18...the first and foremost characteristic is "wisdom is pure"...the second one is “peaceable.” We can see that even though our world may be seeking "peace," it is characterized by dissension and controversy. BUT the wisdom of God is peaceable, "peace loving" (NIV). This is not peace at any price...notice peace does not precede purity...it is "pure then peaceable."

God's ultimate intention for the world is peace! Matt 5:9 "blessed are the peacemakers…" I do not think that accepting what the world wants us to accept (any ungodly lifestyle) is going to bring peace because that would be "by-passing" purity. That is not the answer.

Even though we may not have external peace, as followers of Christ we are blessed with the inward peace that only God can give. Jesus stated in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid…" The Lord so desires to take away ALL our fears and replace them with peace...a peace that surpasses all our understanding...fear of dying...fear of war or famine...fear of all that is coming on this world.

It is so amazing what He can do when we ASK! Just remember, ask for purity (a cleansing of the heart, mind and soul first). It comes before peace. Peace will not invade a heart where the love of God does not reside! Purity Precedes Peace!

What Does It Mean To Be Holy?

Psalm 29:2, “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

God requires that we come before Him in holiness. If we are to enter into His presence, we will do so under the covering of Holiness. The Psalmist said it best, if we are to give God the glory that is due Him, if we are to truly worship Him we will do so in His holiness. Holiness is an indispensable element of our relationship with God. Hebrews 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:”

Man was created in the image of God, and until he sinned he was the reflection of God. After the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, God pronounced the curse of sin upon all creation. All that God had created would carry the scar of man’s failure.

The sin in mortal man cannot be representative of God. Therefore, the sin must be cast aside and abandoned. That is done in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus provided everything we need to be a true disciple through His cleansing blood. Look to the cross, believe in the cleansing of Christ, be washed in His blood and He will make you clean and holy. We are then the reflection of God.

A disciple of Christ will reflect the character of God. 1 Peter 1:16, “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” Peter’s reference is to the command of God in Leviticus 11:44-45 for the people of God to be holy as the one who has called them is holy. Jesus was also our example and was without sin. 1 Peter 2:22, “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:”

Holiness is a New Testament teaching and has become a serious issue in the 21st century church. If we believe and accept the Bible we must declare that holiness is an absolute in the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ is the Bride of Christ and is destined to be presented to Christ as a holy bride washed in the blood of the lamb. Ephesians 5:25, “...Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” The Bride will be presented in holiness. Jesus shed His blood on the cross as a sacrifice to atone for our sin. In Him, sin is cast aside and abandoned, never to be remembered. The believer is wholly washed becoming a child of God and prepared to be the reflection of his Father. Amen! (continued)

You Jesus Are My Perfect Rest! by Myra Boozer

Today I am thankful for Rest! God created the world, but on the 7th day He rested and He set aside a day of rest for his people also. I hope that doesn't change with so many changes these days. But even greater than our physical rest, there is a rest that every believer can enter no matter what our problems may be.

When we are overcome by unexpected pain or trouble, we tend to get stressed, even for a moment, and sometimes "really upset." Becoming more worried and distressed to the point of getting sick over a matter. BUT, when we can just step back and REMEMBER "who" is in control, everything can change because God has rest for us. Rest from anything or person who might cause us grief or heartache.

In Christ, we lay back in His arms of great mercy and know that He is taking care of us. This is absolutely the very best rest you will ever find. When you lay it all down at His feet and as a little child you're allowing Him to give you the love and comfort that only He can give. Thank you Lord that I have learned to trust you! Lord, help me to keep learning from you. You are my rest no matter the day of the week. My perfect rest is in you and thru you.

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 6-7

Peace In The Storm?

John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

This very moment as we battle the storms in our life, Jesus is making provision for us! He is providing the spiritual fortitude to bring us through the storms and also preparing our final destination to be with Him. We must place our hand in His and let Him lead us there.

There is no storm, no trial, no test or battle that He cannot navigate. In fact, He allows the storms to come to help us grow and mature as His disciples. He is teaching us to recognize the best path. He is teaching us that He is always with us and we are learning to recognize Him in our storm. God uses the storms to fashion His faith, His trust and His assurance in us. Faith that His promises are sure, trust that it is His voice we hear and assurance that no matter where the storms may carry us, He is always there. Matt. 28:20, “...and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world...”

Christ has promised to go with us, sustain us and deliver us. What we must do is walk with Him. We belong to Him and He says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” John 10:27. He has paid a great price for our deliverance and nothing can take us out of His hand if we will only trust and obey Him.

Psalm 31:19, “Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! 20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.”

My soul craves the peace of God's presence. In His stillness I find peace and rest. He lifts me above this world's raging storm. He quiets the winds and calms the blustery waves. He commands “peace, be still” and my life returns. He is my Peace In The Storm!

Let God Arise! by Myra Boozer

Stay close to the Lord and receive His Favor.

Trust in Him and receive His Strength.

Long for Him and receive His Glory.

Walk with Him and receive His Power.

Ask of Him and receive His Wisdom.

Listen for Him and hear His voice.

Praise Him and He will give you a Song.

Humble yourself before Him and He will exalt you.

Wait on Him with good courage and He will strengthen your Heart.

Eat at His table and you shall be filled.

Delight yourself in Him and He will give you the desires of your Heart.

Submit yourself and He will wash you clean.

Give what you have and He will multiply it.

Sit at His feet and He will teach you.

Look to Him and He will show you great and mighty things.

Put your Hope in Him and you will not be disappointed.

Lift Him high and others will be drawn to Him.

Love righteousness and hate wickedness and He will anoint you with Gladness above others.

Remember Him and you will rejoice.

Let God Arise and his enemies will be scattered.

Call upon Him and He will answer you.

Seek Him and You will Find Him.

Where Is Your Hope?

Job 14:7, “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. 8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; 9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.”

We can observe destructive elements at work in our world. The forces of darkness are unleashed upon the wicked and innocent alike. However, the children of righteousness will rise above the wickedness and allow the light of Jesus Christ to dispel the darkness. There is hope as long as that hope is in the power of the blood of Christ.

Job, in his distress, declares that the tree is better off than a man. It may appear that the tree has been destroyed, cut at the base, and fallen down. But the promise is that it will bring forth its tender branches again though the stock of the tree dies in the ground and the root grows old in the earth. Though there is only the scent of water it will bud and grow new branches.

The future of the tree is in the hands of the Creator. The tree will produce its fruit in the will of the Creator. Job came to the understanding that his future was in the hands of God. He submitted his will to the will of the Creator therefore he was able to proclaim in Job 19:23, “Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! 24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! 25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:”

Our future is in the hands of God! He is fully aware of where we are and what our needs are. When we come to that understanding and submit our will to His will, He will take us to where He is going. He will renew our hope in Him! 1 Peter 1:13, “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;” Jesus is coming soon! Where Is Your Hope?

A New Day Dawning For The (Body of Christ) Children Of God! by Myra Boozer

Romans 8:22, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”

The labor pains have begun. We will give birth by The Spirit, just as Mary did. Travail is coming but so is Joy. Psalm 30:5, “Sorrow may last for the night but joy comes in the morning.” As our world is in great transition for its new world order so are we, the Body of Christ, doing away with the old dead rituals bringing in the New Life in the Spirit.

There has always been a counterfeit for what God is doing and it's no different in these Last Days. Satan is working overtime with his evil and his ploy to destroy mankind with his “False Security” of a new world order and a new life.

Satan offers you freedom “to” sin. Dark and Corrupt sin is what's for sale at the "Table" of this new world order, utter darkness, no life, and no hope. Millions are falling for this rainbow-colored gift being offered at the “hands of this regime” of the Evil One. Blood is dripping from their hands. They have no shame, no regrets, no regard for “life” and decency, no regard for the “living.” The innocents are a revelation to them of who they really are. They feel they must destroy them (the innocents) to get rid of the holy and just (Christians) just as they could not regard Jesus and sought to kill Him from the time of His birth. But, the Father, God had a plan for His Son.

God has a plan for the Bride of Christ also. For She with Christ will bring in the “Real” New World Order as She offers Hope, Life, Joy, and Peace at “The Table of Forgiveness.”

Which are you buying today? You still have a choice to receive the Truth or the counterfeit. Time is running out! Submit to the one who offers Real Life, not just the facade or picture of life but True Life where no evil abounds, where all is pure, holy, and righteous.

You may say, "I'm not choosing!” You are choosing! Jesus gave the command to his brother from the cross. John 19:27, “Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.” The job for him was to behold their mother who represents all that’s innocent, pure, and holy. Jesus is our elder brother. He has given us the same command to care and to behold those who have fallen under the burdens of this life, overcome by the taskmaster of Sin who seems to have taken charge. But, not so! We need to behold them and tell them the “Real” New World Order is coming through Jesus Christ. Be ready for in such an hour as you think not, the Son of Man will come in righteousness to finish what His Father sent Him to do. His Righteous Kingdom will rule and the false will go down and be destroyed in outer darkness!

Disconnected From God! Conclusion

(for part 1 see 2/5/24)

By virtue of our beginning, we are the creation of God. Created to walk in communion with our creator and thereby have access to Him who is all-sufficient in all things. Through faith in Him, we are sanctified (set apart from the world) Heb. 10:10, “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Through faith in Christ we are regenerated (restored to a sinless state) Titus 3:5, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” And through the saving grace of the cross we are justified (just as if we never sinned) Eph. 2:16, “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ,..” Therefore, we can conclude that through Jesus' sacrifice, we are restored to the relationship God had with man before the fall.

Why is that so important? The blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ reconnected us to God. When we confess our sin and believe that by His sacrifice He will forgive our sin, we are reconnected to God through Christ. Consequently, God wants to walk with us in an intimate relationship in the same sense that He walked with Adam in the garden before man’s disobedience. We can walk in renewed fellowship with sin forgiven and renewed status in the family of God.

God’s intention is that His Holy Spirit be our counselor, comfort, rock, strong tower, mighty fortress, deliverer, provider, healer, and everything else we need. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus,” Phil. 4:19.

I want to note two very important factors in the relationship between God and Adam. 1)There was continued communication between them. 2)Obedience to God's instructions was absolute. When these two principles are observed, our spiritual and physical man are perfectly joined together. There is no disconnect between God and a born-again believer and follower of Jesus Christ!

When Guilty Meets Accountability! by Myra Boozer

The dark side of life does not want to be exposed. When guilty meets accountability (which is represented by LAW ENFORCEMENT), they want no part of it. So, they fight with all they have to get out of the situation. It is truly about good and evil and the GUILTY side wants to blame somebody else every time! Many of our leaders have done this far too long. It has trickled down into all areas of our society and some people believe they are beyond the law and its punishment.

The evil in this world is not only seeking to devour and destroy but it is determined to win in every situation to make EVIL good and GOOD evil. Only God will be able to rectify this. We will all be held accountable (individually) one day and that day is coming soon.

Make sure your sins are under the blood of Jesus. All will be Judged. When that day comes, NO one will be able to escape the judgment of God. It will be QUICK and it will be sure! No blaming someone else, no pulling strings or paying the Judge. Only the blood of Jesus applied to the heart will insure the sentence you want to hear. Call on Him now if you're in doubt of your soul salvation! Give Him your life, your total being! Trust in Him to be your Savior! Tomorrow He will be your Judge!

Disconnected From God!

Acts 17:24, “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being;...” If we are disconnected from God then what is our life? Because through Him we have life, conduct our living in this world and become the person we were created to be.

The cares of this world are pressing in and it seems like there is no place for the Lord. What has created such a disconnect from His Spirit? In the Garden of Eden, the spirit-man and the physical-man were perfectly joined together. The disconnect came when man disobeyed and sinned against God of heaven and earth, their Creator.

As a result of disobedience Adam and Eve had to deal with issues in life that God never intended. God never intended that they concern themselves with anything relative to their living and provision (water, food, shelter, clothing). He had already made provision for all their needs and besides that, God presented Himself each day to walk with them in the cool of the evening. Anything they needed, God was right there in person to provide.

God's intention was that they dress the garden. We don't know exactly what that involved but we do know that the environment drastically changed after the sin of disobedience. They went from having everything they needed to providing for themselves through toil, sweat and tears. The earth itself became a vessel of discipline. They were driven from the perfect climate of the garden to the dry and thirsty land of rebellion where they had to battle the thorns and thistles for food to eat. God cursed the ground because of sin and in the sweat of his face man would have food to eat.

God never intended it to be this way. His plan was for the spiritual and physical to be perfectly joined together. How can that be with the fallen state of mankind? Through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, we can walk in the Spirit though we are present in this physical body. Though we live in this physical world, we live and move and have our being in Jesus Christ. Acts 17:25, “...seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things...28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being...” (continued)

What Are You Trading Your LIfe For? by Myra Boozer

Matthew 13:44, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”

Just thinking about what is important to me, you know, what really matters? Some things just don't matter! Lately, every time I say it doesn't matter, Bill starts singing "It don't matter where you bury me." Well, me either but there are some things that really matter. What matters is not possessing many things of value but possessing the one thing of greatest value, the Kingdom of God!!! It's worth more than all the other things we could ever find.

What are you trading your life for? Day by day we usually spend our time doing what we want, working to pay bills, saving for a vacation, new house, new car, on and on. But what really matters? When we come to the end of our life I don't want to find that I spent my life on "things." I don't want to find that what I traded for my life was "fool's gold," shiny, insubstantial, and ultimately worthless things. But that I sought out the "pearl of great price" like the man in the parable of the treasure hidden in the field.

He knew what mattered! Do you? Whatever you have to give up to get the great treasure it will be so small compared to the treasure that is waiting on the other side. Seek ye first the kingdom, then these other things will be added. But, they will never be as important or take the place of the greatest treasure God has for you in His Kingdom...Matt. 13:44-52.

A Life Lived Well!

What will await me when I come to the end of this life’s journey? Will my life have been lived well or just be a life spent, consumed, exhausted, used up? Will I just be a worn-out specimen of human flesh or will I take on the eternal nature of Jesus Christ?

The choice of how we finish our life is left up to us! We choose eternity by how we choose to live each day of our lives. Are our thoughts and activities focused on our passion for Jesus or our passion for the things of this world?

The choice is ours! Let the love and passion of Jesus Christ capture your heart, soul, and mind. Walk with Him today and you will walk with Him in eternity. Oh, Give me Jesus! You can have all this world, just give me Jesus! Call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and be Saved!

I Search For God! He Finds Me! by Myra Boozer

Lord, please clear the thoughts of all the things I think I must do today. Surround me with Your thoughts and Your desires. Fill in all the recesses of my heart and set my feet on a right path.

Troubles are all around and the sounds are coming in loud and clear that all is not well. The road of demands is calling for my attention to come to each of them and each seems desperate.

Slow me down to Your pace Lord. You are never in a hurry but always right on time. You are never slack when You make a promise. You always follow through. You have this whole universe in Your hands and nothing is out of Your control. Why can't I be more like You. You are relentless, never letting up. Help me Lord because You are greater than all my rush to unfold today and rearrange this clutter in my mind.

You seek me as I seek You! We will come together in perfect unity when I slow my pace so I can reach You. Thank You for Your never ending patience with me. Thank You for always reaching and stretching Your infinite love towards me!

Today will be no ordinary day. Today I will reach for You to allow You to touch me. I will consider Your lofty thoughts. They are so much higher than mine. I will consider Your love that is ever reaching to the lost, the sad and the broken. I will consider Your strong arms of mercy and grace as they pull in all who are drifting on the sea of ignorance and defeat. They are searching for peace, hope and love.

So I must reason with myself daily and know that I am not alone in my search for You. When I can be still and shut out the world scurrying all around me, I find You and You find me!  You find me along with the least of mankind or the highly favored in all the world. You are not off limits to the needy and hungry refugee that is searching for You. Neither would you turn away the rich and famous if they would come to You.

I see ME slowly giving up the struggle and You accepting my humanity. Thank you Jesus! I Search For God! He Finds Me!

The Dreams Of Life Refocused! Conclusion

(for part 1 see 1/31/24)

We must plan for the present with the end in view. We set our goals in life always thinking of tomorrow or later. I realize that there are things in life for which you must plan. It is best to prepare for college and career, marriage and family, retirement and final things. But, it is so very important to keep the finish in mind, always! A correct understanding of the final things in one's life will keep everything else in proper focus. Then we understand that our vision of the finish will determine how we respond to every relationship in life. No matter what decision or choice we may face, the final things will bring a correct perspective to the matter. Ecc. 12:13, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”

Therefore, life's choices are governed by our vision of final things. We realize that we live our lives in the present tense. We are planning for tomorrow by the way we live today. That will not only affect our lives but also those who have been given into our care and those who share our sphere of influence on this journey.

Now, getting back to my little gray squirrel (see post for 1/31/24). His creator has given him an innate sense to gather and store provisions. I am sure that what appeared to me to be a frantic search was normal for him. That's the way squirrels are because God created them that way. You and I are created to live on a much higher plane. If God gives an animal an innate sense of provision for his life, God has done so much more for us. The problem comes when we fail to communicate with Him. My little squirrel has an automatic system built into his consciousness for his provision. We are created higher than any other creature in God's creation. We were made for relationship with God and each other. Our relationship requires communication. If we fail to communicate with God, we cannot receive instruction for our provision.

If we are listening to God, He will instruct us in His plan for us today. He will help us to understand that we live His will today so that we are in His will tomorrow. If we follow Christ today, we have no need to worry about tomorrow. Our life and future is secure in the grace of Jesus Christ.

2 Tim. 4:7, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
