I Long To See You, Jesus! by Myra Boozer

I long to see You, Jesus, high and lifted up in Your Glory, in Your wealthy, prominent estate. You are rich in Royalty and flow with Grandeur. You are covered with the precious Anointing of Your Father, as he said, "This is my Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." There is no name above Your Name because You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I long to See You, Jesus!

But first I saw You differently. I saw You as one cast down upon a stone, crushed as an olive. There You gave forth the healing balm to all who believe in You.

I saw You being stricken with great ridicule, and yet You were humble, and You never lashed back.

I saw You being mocked and despised by those who had little or no regard for who You are. But You said not one word.

I saw You cast aside as a foreigner by those who once loved You and called You Lord, yet You still loved them.

I saw You forgotten and forsaken by those of Your own Household. You still called them Your people.

I saw You betrayed, stripped of Your robe and beaten without mercy, hung on an old rugged cross, mocked, ridiculed, and left to die. I felt it was all because of me and my sin. Yet, You could have called ten thousand angels to release You.

Yes, You were held a short season by those who were blinded by their doctrine, traditions, and selfish motives, those whom God allowed.

The same is happening today. Many are blind, and they do not see the evil doctrines and hideous acts they are condoning, pushing You completely out of their lives. Many are cold, heartless, and rebellious. You are still calling out to them in Your Mercy.

You are being crucified afresh, tortured by the heathen, and they see You not. You are the Son of God, but they are blind.

They give You no esteem for being who You are. They cast You down and consider You useless to them. They consider You powerless and weak, crumbling under their rejection. They seem to despise what You represent...Holiness...Truth...and Life Everlasting.

One day in the near future, "at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:10

Lord, I am captured by Your love for mankind. You suffered and died for all who would call on Your Name. You went through much agony for us to be with You one day. I see You Strong and Mighty...full of Righteousness...High and Lifted up...Coming in Splendor to receive unto Yourself Your chosen Ones...Those who call You Lord...Those who are willing to die for You if need be...I Long To See You, Jesus!

Power To Serve God's Purpose!

Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

The first requirement that God expects of us is total and complete surrender to Him. The Apostle defines that here as presenting “your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God...” That is where we start! From there, we must allow the Word of God to have its perfect work in us by the power of the Holy Ghost. Be separate from the world and be changed by regeneration in the Holy Ghost. Why is that necessary? So we may discern what is the acceptable and perfect will of God. This transformation can only be performed by the Holy Ghost.

Immediately following His baptism by John the Baptist, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. Matthew 4:1, “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.” Jesus had just left Jordan, where He saw heaven open and the Spirit of God descended like a dove and lighted upon Him. Luke addresses the same event in Luke 4:1, “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.”

Jesus was full of the Holy Ghost and possessed the power to serve God’s purpose. Then came the beginning of the testing. Ryrie states that Satan’s intention was to make Christ sin to thwart God’s plan for the redemption of man by disqualifying the Savior. But this event was not for the benefit of Satan. The Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness, and God’s purpose was to prove His Son to be sinless and thus a worthy Savior. Ryrie states further that it is clear that Jesus was actually tempted and it is equally clear that He was sinless. (continued)

We Shall Be Like Him! by Myra Boozer

James 3:13-18 talks about wisdom...earthly wisdom and also wisdom from above (from God). He stated that it is pure...peaceable...gentle...easily entreated...reasonable...full of mercy and good fruits...merciful...without partiality...steadfast...without hypocrisy...sincere.

Wisdom's consequences are "the fruit of righteousness." Purity is the first characteristic, and James underscores its priority. Originally it meant freedom from ceremonial defilement, then came to include much more than that. It is used of the purity of God Himself! “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure,” I John 3:2-3.

In the context of the discussion, it implies freedom from anything that would contaminate or soil one's integrity. I found a great illustration for this meaning. There lives, in the forests of northern Europe and Asia, a little animal called the “ermine.” It is known for its snow-white fur, the most beautiful fur in the world. In some countries the state robes of judges are lined with it as emblematic of purity and honor. Ladies of means prize coats for their beauty and warmth. The “ermine,” it seems, takes a peculiar pride in its white coat and goes to great lengths to avoid soiling it. It is said that some fur hunters have taken advantage of this fact to capture the “ermine.” Instead of setting a trap, they find its home, a cleft in the rock or a hollow tree, and daub the entrance with FILTH. Then the dogs start the chase. Sounds like our day!!!

Frightened, the “ermine” flees to its home, its place of refuge. Finding it daubed with uncleanness, rather than soil its pure white coat, it faces the yelping dogs and is captured by the hunters, preserving the purity of its fur at the price of its life.

The “ermine” is right: purity is more precious than life (this life). "...The wisdom that is from above is first pure...,” James 3:17. With all the evil and corruption in our world, I pray that we will be like the little “ermine” and remember that staying pure is more precious and valuable than our own life. Jesus is coming for a Bride that has no spots or blemishes in her wedding gown...pure and white...unspotted by this world's filthy sin…"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure." We Shall Be Like Him!

The Beauty Of Holiness!

Psalm 29:2, “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

God requires that we come before Him in holiness. If we are to enter into His presence, we will do so under the covering of Holiness. The Psalmist said it best: if we are to give God the glory that is due Him, if we are to truly worship Him, we will do so in His holiness. Holiness is an indispensable element of our relationship with God. Hebrews 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

God Is Holy! Man was created in the image of God, and until he sinned, he was the reflection of God. After the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, God pronounced the curse of sin upon all creation. All that God had created would carry the scar of man’s failure.

The sin in mortal man cannot be representative of God. Therefore, the sin must be cast aside and abandoned. That is done in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus provided everything we need to be a true disciple through His cleansing blood. Look to the cross, believe in the cleansing of Christ, be washed in His blood, and He will make you clean and holy. The believer is wholly washed, becoming a child of God and prepared to be the reflection of His Father. Amen!

An Everlasting Kingdom! by Myra Boozer

God is so good! I want to tell you what happened this morning. As I was sitting in my bedroom doing some Bible study, I heard a bird hit my pineapple plant and patio door. I got up and opened the blinds to see what was going on. No bird, but lying on the cushioned glider was my camera. Wow, it had been a couple of days since I remembered having my camera out back. Well, all I could think of was that God sent a little bird to my window to alert me to my camera. It wasn't long after that we got a short but hard rain.

As I continued to read and study, one of my scriptures reminded me of how great God is, even in small things. Daniel 4:2, “I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me. 3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.”

I am so thankful for the God I serve, and of whose kingdom I am a part. His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom! God is still receiving new citizens through His Son Jesus Christ and His death on the cross. However, you must resign from all other loyalties and commit to His rule and His authority. That sounds hard for those who love to be in control. But once you have given yourself to Him and received His Lordship, your soul will rejoice, and you will be confident in your decision. You will have no desire to leave the Father and His great provision. He is such a great, great Father full of mercy, so I thank Him for all He does for me, including the small things. (written July 4, 2016)

Empowered To Finish The Kingdom Work!

Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

Are we willing to allow the Holy Spirit of God to fully possess our mortal bodies and be transformed into vessels of His Presence? God is looking for willing souls given to His service and the completion of His Kingdom work! However, we must empty ourselves of self-will and submit to being poured out as the anointing oil of His Presence upon a sick and dying world. Jesus came to save that which was lost, and He still wants to save and deliver lost humanity. Can we allow the Holy Ghost to invade our minds, our hearts and souls and reveal to us our role in His Divine Will? Are we willing to wrestle with the conflict within us as Jacob of old until God brings our deliverance and empowers us to finish His mission here? (see Genesis 32)

Can we sincerely pray this prayer? “Father God, Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy upon us today. In this frail mortal tabernacle, we strive to become the best that we can be. Possess this clay vessel and make it unto honor and glory for Your Name's sake. Fill us again and again with the nectar of heaven that we may be poured out, emptied in the perpetuation of the Gospel and building up of the Kingdom of God. Refresh us in the power of your Spirit that we may be strong, resilient, and victorious. Capture our minds, our hearts, and our souls and hold us in reserve to your Divine purpose and will. Constrain us to entertain your presence and your voice until your revelation comes. May we be like Jacob, engaged in heavenly warfare until your deliverance comes to us. Pour into us your strength, your courage, and your faith. Sustain us in this present conflict with the manna that only you can provide. Walk with us today, instructing us and guiding each step we take. Open our eyes to what you are doing and where you are going. Anoint us that we may go with you to the consummation of all things and time without end. In Jesus' name! Amen.” Empowered to Finish The Kingdom Work!

Know The Enemy! by Myra Boozer

So much unrest in our world today! So much talk about people having a RIGHT to freedom of speech...even to disrespect our Country and what we STAND for...the things that were once recognized as moral and sacred...the things that our nation upholds because God and His Word say so. When they are aborted, cursed, rejected, denied, protested against...even to publicly disgracing the American Flag and National Anthem all because of hatred and rebellion, how can this be for the good of a people, a country, a nation? How can this be about Freedom?

Some people are on a Campaign to destroy all Freedom because they want the right to destroy those who uphold Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. When the Lion comes to live in your home, he is there for one reason: to eat your family. Do we allow that because "everyone," even lawbreakers, should have free speech and act out however they desire? When this is regarded as acceptable, the Enemy wins. We lose!

Tolerance of All actions becomes a prison to the people of a nation. Where is Freedom in that? Don't allow every thought and every campaign to win you over. Don't be a friend to the enemy! His character is to destroy you! Know your enemy! Know those who stir up strife and bitterness. Know those who call good evil and evil good. Know those who do not respect life, born or unborn. Know those who leave God out of the equation and expect you to do the same. Know those who have come to steal, kill, and destroy! THEY ARE THE ENEMY...WE MUST NOT GIVE RIGHTS TO THE ENEMY...Know The Enemy!

Let Jesus Take Control!

1 John 3:1, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”

We will face trials and testing in the days ahead! But we have a companion who walks with us to provide for every need. Jesus will make a way through every difficult experience. 1 Cor. 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” We will not face any trial or test that is not experienced by other human beings. The testing is the same for all, just different faces, with the determining factor for victory being the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ in one’s life.

The challenge we face today is allowing Jesus Christ to fully control our lives. It is a struggle for us to relinquish our independence and allow Him to lead the way. However, He is immensely more qualified than we are to determine the correct path. He knows the way that we should go. Our heart cry should be to go where He is going. Therefore, we must submit to His leading to go along with Him. Let Jesus Take Control!

Can You Believe? by Myra Boozer

Can you believe how fast things are falling apart in this country and the world, for that matter? God will not put up with evil running rampant for an extended time. He will come and fight against these evil people who seem to prevail.

God has all power, and those who think they are so high and mighty to come against God and His Holy Word will find that they can ONLY do what God allows them to do. One day they will tremble in His presence, bow their knee and confess He is LORD. But that will be too late! NOW is the day of salvation!

Somehow, I believe these, that have turned to such rebellion against God and the Truths that our country was founded upon, at some point rejected the still small voice of a loving God who offered His only Son for their sins. But they rejected Him! When any person keeps on rejecting God, they are falling deeper into the arms of an evil master who will consume them with his deceitful ways and carry them with him to the pits of hell.

God has given us another day (well, He could come at any time, before the night has ended), but we have this time right now to surrender our hearts, our minds, our wills. It could be too late for those who don't have ears to hear, but for those who have ears, let him hear what the Spirit is saying. Call on the Lord while He is near! Seek Him while He can still be found. Please don't take God for granted and spurn your opportunity to know Him as Lord and Master of your life.

"For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled," 1 Peter 3:12-14.

There is a song that says, "God is fighting for us. He is on our side. We will not be shaken. We will not be moved." God is so faithful to His children! He will not allow them to be defeated. Can You Believe?

The Battle For Your Soul!

1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”

The devil is like a wild animal seeking to devour you. He is attempting to destroy everything and everyone associated with God. The spirit of Antichrist is becoming stronger as each day passes. His followers are becoming more vocal and more active. Their goal is to destroy everything affiliated with Jesus Christ. This is the rise of the last days' influence of Satan, setting the stage for the beast in the prophecy of Daniel and in the prophecy of John in the book of Revelation.

This conflict between good and evil has manifested itself through the centuries with an ebb and flow of severity. However, the consequences of the conflict can be directly related to the rebellion of man against the laws and sovereignty of God. This is a conflict between the Light of Heaven and the powers of Darkness. Satan’s war has always been against the Sovereignty of Almighty God, and the man of flesh is his pawn in this conflict.

Although times of evil and darkness have gripped the earth in centuries past, the grand finale is still to come. Satan is preparing for his last stand. He knows his end and will do everything in his power to destroy all he can. He has targeted world governments, world leaders, Christian leaders, Christian organizations, families, and individuals. His goal is to destroy order and control. He wants to create total chaos.

The course of human history is directly related to the willingness of mankind to seek after and follow the sovereign will of God. In recent years, we have seen a digression from Biblical morals and values and a more rapid deviation from Biblical principles in the past decade. This behavior has brought us to where we are as a nation and a world community.

The consequences of rebellion will rule eternity. How we respond to the voice of God will determine our future and the future of all who will hear us. We must understand where we are on God’s timetable! We must remain alert and watchful to escape the cataclysmic events just ahead! Put your trust in Jesus, and you will win the Battle For Your Soul!

Where Are You, Lord? by Myra Boozer

Where are you, Lord? Are you near? I can't find you! Are you close, so close that I am overlooking where you are?

Where are you, Lord? I hear your rustling. I smell your sweet aroma. I search for your clear voice. I long for your embrace.

I press into your holiness, and I feel your cleansing touch. You hold me in my brokenness, and I allow you to put me back together again and again.

I love you, Lord, for you are my Rock, my Fortress, my strong Tower, my Refuge, my everlasting Peace, and my Hope.

You are my all in all! I can go on. Thank you, Lord!

Seek God's Face!

Do I want God’s blessings or do I want Him? I make the conscious decision here and now that I want Him! More than anything, I want my life to be governed by Him, totally! Am I willing to pay the price? What price? You mean there is a price, an investment on my part?

To have God govern our lives totally, we must abandon any and every thing that resembles the old life of flesh. That means that my will is submitted in every sense to His will. That means He is living His life through me, not as a puppet but as a dedicated servant.

You mean I am to be a slave to God, and that is the only way I am going to have Him? 1 Cor. 9:19, “For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.” The word translated here, “servant” in the Greek text, means “to make a slave of, reduce to bondage.” Paul was saying that he had become a slave to Christ. He simply meant that his life was consumed with obeying Jesus’ leading.

When we were in sin, we were servants to sin. We were made slaves under the bondage of sin. Sin controlled all thoughts and actions. We have put away sin and no longer serve sin. Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Therefore, we are no more slaves to sin but servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. Seeking God’s Face!

God Is My Refuge! by Myra Boozer

Psalms 91:2, " I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."

"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." The things of this world can fade away like fog lifting from the valley. I believe that we find a new perspective on life, love, and our relationship with others, especially with God. He fills our every longing and desire. We are no longer pushed or pressured into needing anything except Him and His presence. It is no longer about me and what I must attain or receive from this world. God becomes my focus! He brings my life to the fullest. My heart can sing in the midst of chaos, because I know He is more than enough for today and tomorrow...God Is My Refuge!

Peace In Troubling Times?

Romans 15:13, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

We live in troubling times if all you see is the present conflict. Paul said, "If in this life only I have hope, I am of all men most miserable," 1Cor. 15:19. We must have hope beyond what we see. And we do have hope if we have put our faith in Jesus Christ. The child of God has nothing to fear. Actually, we should be excited that last days' prophecies are being fulfilled and that "Jesus is coming soon..."

In the midst of all the turmoil everywhere, let us be thankful that Jesus has provided an escape. My prayer is that we, the Body of Christ, will reflect the glory of God in such a fashion that the unbelieving will see Christ and make that decision to follow Him. May the presence of the Holy Spirit cover you wherever you are and at all times! Peace In Troubling Times!

Not A Death Sentence! by Myra Boozer

Psalm 16:11, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life; in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."

Being on the wrong road does not have to be a "death sentence." It is sometimes difficult to admit, "I have made a wrong turn." The sooner one stops and checks the road map, the sooner one can get back on the right road headed in the right direction.

The same is true in our spiritual life. One must admit, I have taken the wrong exit, or sometimes just kept on going on the same road that was taking them further and further from the intended destination. Actually, now is a good time to talk to the Lord and confess one's disobedience, or whatever distraction caused the error. This is not an easy task, but it is the only one that works.

People call it different things, such as indifference, stubbornness, and hardheadedness, to name a few. The Bible uses some words like rebellious, stiff-necked, blind, unaware, dreamers, complainers, and those who have gone in the way of Cain. I think the bottom line is they who have gotten on the wrong road just don't have the strength or the desire to stop and evaluate where they are headed. They go deeper and deeper into depression, loneliness, confusion, and heartache, which can lead to spiritual death. All because they were not willing to check with the Word of God (The Spiritual road map). They move further and further from understanding what the Will of God is for their life. They can no longer reason out what to do and are overtaken by guilt from their failure in following the wrong road.

Being on the wrong road does not have to be a "death sentence." The Lord knows the way you should go. Cry out to Him in your despair and listen to His voice. When He speaks and gives you direction, follow His directions; the sooner the better. He can lead you out of your dilemma and set you on a straight path. A path that leads to a much better ride with a clear and determined destination of Eternal Life at the end of the way.

Going Home!

(I wrote this back in 2018. I believe it is even more true today!)

Today I went back to the old home place. It was wonderful to see all the familiar faces and share in the pleasant memories of yesterday. Those memories bring back the substance of my life, the foundation for my life that continues to provide the stability to weather the storms that cross my path. I thank God for the principles of my faith, which were implanted in me in my childhood years, and even now, they are my sustaining strength.

The home place has changed, it’s just not the same. Too many have left us! Some have gone away by choice as they seek their way in life and the happiness they desperately desire. Others have gone away, but their bodies are still present. They struggle to remember names, places, and events that have passed. They have lost many of those precious memories. Still, others have left us because their time on earth is finished, and they have gone to their heavenly home.

So, you see, the old home place will never be what it once was. It will never be the same because life continues to change. Some of our loved ones have left, and some are in the process of leaving. But new faces are being added as we welcome the new lives God has granted us. He has sent the treasures of heaven to fulfill our lives as we also prepare to leave.

The process of time changes us and everything around us. Change is inevitable. Nothing stays the same. The measure of God’s grace in our lives is determined by how well we adapt to these changes. We can go kicking and screaming into our future. Or, we can move forward with the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ, knowing that He has secured the good He has promised for us. Our role is to seek God’s will and guidance for ourselves and those whose lives we share. We are all in preparation for Going Home!

1 Corinthians 13:12, “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” We shall behold Him face to face in all of His glory. What a glorious reunion it will be when we all Get Home!

God Wants Your Commitment! by Myra Boozer

Many people turn to God when they have serious troubles and trials. They need help... so they go to Church and say their prayers, but only for a short time. They turn back to their old ways until the next time, when they just can't handle their problems any longer. Over and over, they do this. So Sad! They just don't understand!

God is not a "pie in the sky" kind of God. He wants us to love Him for who He is, not for what He can do for us in times of need alone. He is not an on-and-off God. He is a full-time God and wants a full-time relationship with His Children.

Today is not the time to forget God! The battle is raging, and it is so dangerous to be out in the cold without your covering. God wants to shield you and keep you from all harm and danger of the enemy that is out to steal, kill, and destroy. Satan is sneaky and will come at you in many different forms...sometimes as an Angel of Light. Don't be deceived by him! Run to God today and find Him to be your answer. He is waiting with open arms, longing for you to make a commitment to Him. Stay the course, don't run away. "We love Him because He first loved us," I John 4:19. God Wants Your Commitment!

Thy Will Be Done In Earth As In Heaven! Conclusion

 (for part 1 see 6/22/26)

Matt. 28:18, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Christ has given the ministry of bringing in the Harvest to the Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit within us will equip and empower us to rise to the challenge in the midst of darkness and evil. The light shines brighter the greater the darkness. We have already entered into an extended time of sensual depravity and spiritual hypocrisy. The Body of Christ has an enormous task to reach the lost in the face of great opposition. The affront to the Gospel is growing stronger every day. The mere mention of the name of Jesus will ensure persecution. But God is greater! “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world...” 1 John 4:4. God will use the Church to do great things in the name of Jesus. That is why Satan fights so hard against the message of Jesus. There is power in that name (Jesus)! Christ will reveal His power, His grace, and His glory through us as we submit to His leadership. “He will use the trying times ahead to discipline and train us. Do not resist. Do not question the Lord's WAY. Yield to Him and allow Him to do His work in you even during all this shaking as the Bride makes herself ready.” God has a plan. He will protect His Church and preserve His people. Blessed be the name of the Lord! Thy Will Be Done In Earth As In Heaven!

Put Your Trust In Jesus! by Myra Boozer

In light of what is going on in our world today, I want to offer this prayer.

I pray we give our attention to God more than ever and stand with Him and His Holy Word...I pray we give time to those around us as though they are family and depending on us...I pray for strength and encouragement to come just at our time of need...I pray for love to send forth its power to bring in the lonely and the hurting from the cold that has settled on our world...I pray for truth to invade our lives as a strong and mighty wind stirring in our souls...I pray for unity to prevail in the hearts of all believers, so that the world might see and know that God is alive and at work among us...I pray for peace to surround us like a strong light coming from the throne room of God...I pray for joy, the kind that is deep-rooted and cannot be shaken by the howling of the enemy...I pray for eyes to see the beauty that is in everything we hold...I pray for ears to hear the whispers of our babies as they pull on our heartstrings and long to be close to us...I pray for guidance from above as we travel the road we have never traveled before...It is all new, and our hearts are excited, but our minds question what lies ahead for each and every one of us...Trust in Him who will not leave you...Put Your Trust In Jesus!”

Thy Will Be Done In Earth As In Heaven!

Matthew 6:10-13, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven...thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever...”

The followers of Jesus expected Him to set up a literal ruling government at which time He would rule from the throne of David in Jerusalem. As we know, that has not happened yet! Christ pointed to a yet future time when that will actually take place, and His will is accomplished in earth as it is in heaven.

Paul wrote to the Church at Corinth, reminding them that “...the fashion of this world passeth away,” 1 Cor. 7:31. He was speaking concerning temporal attachments and being held captive by them. Though they may be good in themselves, we are not to be constrained by them. We need to be free from any and all encumbrances that would restrain us from hearing and being obedient to the voice of Christ. Let us always follow the Lord Jesus closely, not to be guilty of following afar off. Our conformity to Him will be our sustaining power when all else has failed. The outward form of this world and everything in it will pass away.

Heb. 12:26, “...Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.” The words “Yet once more,” point to the final change that will initiate the removal of all that can pass away. The removal of created things that the things not shaken can remain...that is the Kingdom in us, not anything of material creation. It is to that end that Christ is preparing His Covenanted people for His return and when He will literally establish His Kingdom in the earth. Thy Will Be Done In Earth As In Heaven! (continued)

Can You Hear The Rumbling? by Myra Boozer

How do you stop an avalanche? What is an avalanche? It is a large mass of loosened snow, earth, etc., sliding down a mountain, an overwhelming amount coming suddenly. You can't stop an avalanche! But you can hear the rumbling noise and get out of the way...possibly.

Are you hearing the noise of the overwhelming avalanche that is coming on this world? If not, then maybe we need to get very quiet and still and listen. The rumble is getting louder, but it seems our world just turns up their music of distraction (whatever it may be) to drown out the Sound of the coming disaster.

There is good news! Jesus is the rock! He is the fortress! He is the shelter in the time of storm! Stand strong in Him today and know that His Father has EVERYTHING in His hands, including the avalanche that will come suddenly. Trust in the one who created Heaven and Earth and all that is in it! Can You Hear The Rumbling?

Then Face To Face?

Often, as I look into the faces of my grandchildren, God’s gifts straight from heaven, I see in them the reflection of the face of God. Many times, I have met them just outside my front door as they came running up my walkway. Their faces were aglow with joy, so happy to come to our house. With sweet smiles upon their faces and arms spread wide, they run into the arms of their anxiously awaiting Papa. Such an exchange of love and embrace is hard to describe in ordinary words. I am overwhelmed with thanksgiving that God has created such a wonder.

The relationships that we have here are but a prelude to what lies ahead for the children of God. 1 Cor. 13:12, “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” As great as our revelation of God may be, our experience with God is veiled to some degree. Similar to Moses’ inability to experience the full impact of the majesty of God due to earthly constraints, there is a limit to our ability to fully entertain God. However, there is a time coming soon, and we shall see Him as He is. 1 John 3:2, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” Now we see in part and know in part, but at His appearing we shall behold and share in the unveiled glory of the risen Christ.

I envision in my mind the images of making our final journey to our heavenly home. When we arrive at our destination, I wonder how it will be! With our faces glowing with the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ, with smiles of redemption and arms spread wide, will we rush into the arms of our anxiously awaiting heavenly Father? 1 Cor. 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” We can only imagine! Then Face To Face!

Leaving No Room! by Myra Boozer

As the Communist atheists allowed no place for JESUS in their hearts, I decided I would leave NOT the smallest place for Satan in mine...” by Founders of the Voice of the Martyrs.

We must be on guard in what we allow into our hearts and our thoughts. Stay full of God and the Holy Spirit, then there is no room for Satan. The Spirit will warn us when Satan is knocking on our door wanting to come in through the media, or through unforgiveness, idolatry, pride, or unbelief, to name a few. There are so many ways he will try to enter our minds and take up residence in our hearts. Don't answer when he comes knocking. If you do answer, make sure you answer with scripture! Luke 4:8, "Get thee behind me, Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." We live in a world of sin, and corruption is everywhere we look. We must stay away from it! We cannot partake of sin and remain pure, holy, and Godly!

A well-known evangelist said that after receiving Christ in his life, some of his past friends came by wanting him to do drugs with them. He thought about it and said, I would have to lay down what God has done for me to go with you guys today. He felt it was not worth the trade! "He washed me clean and gave me back my life. I can't go back to my old ways of living.” Thankfully, he would not consider giving up his "New Life" in Christ for the pleasure of sin. The sin that had almost killed him. He was used by God to win many souls during the Pensacola Brownsville Revival.

Remember, we are in training for the Lord's Army. When we fall down, we get back up. Never give up on God. Keep striving for the goal. Philippians 4:13, "I CAN do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." With the help of our Lord, we will remain faithful to Him and the calling He has on our lives.

So grateful that He continues to pursue me and confront me about my life through His Word. He is still changing me and conforming me into His image, for which I am thankful. I, too, have a desire that not even the smallest place in my heart is given over to Satan.

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path," Psalm 119:105. Guard your heart and thoughts so they are filled with God...LEAVING NO ROOM IN YOUR LIFE FOR SATAN!

Except A Man Be Born Again...?

John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

How can a person embrace holy living and sin at the same time? Sure, we need to identify with the struggles of the sinner, but we cannot accept the life of sin. And neither can the sinner if he or she wants to be truly free. Sin is a weight. Its destructive powers are like a malignant cancer with its invasive tentacles reaching into every fiber of the human body. The cancer must be identified and eradicated. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to identify the sin in us. It is the work of the same Holy Spirit to destroy the sin as one repents and walks in the redeeming power of the blood of Jesus, bringing captive every thought and deed.

We must serve notice to Satan. We must tell him that he cannot exert his influence in our lives. He needs to know that he is not welcome. He needs to feel the fervor of the Holy Spirit when he comes calling. He needs to know that this house is under the supervision of the Lord God Almighty.

Holiness is not adherence to a creed, doctrine, or religious ritual. Holiness is the result of spiritual transformation created in the heart of the believer by the indwelling of the Spirit of God. Thereby, the believer becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus, born anew from above. John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Holiness is an attribute of the new heart created in the life of the believer. Being born from above, the believer receives his guidance from our Father above and reflects that guidance in every facet of his life. Except A Man Be Born Again…?

Who Is On The Lord's Side? by Myra Boozer

WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE AMONG YOU? This is the title of an old song that we sang about 40 years ago. I am asking the same question today. You don't have to answer now, but in the days to come, the question will clearly be asked. Pressure is going to become stronger (MORE INTENSE), and you will have to give an answer.

The answer is not true or false, nor even a multiple-choice. It is an answer that will be given by the way you live your life and stand true to what the Bible says about sin. Yes, you will be hated by the world, not by just one or two friends, but by the world and its system...REJECTION in its highest form.

You may have been a Christian in hiding, following God from afar. But you will be asked, “Are you one of them?” Be ready! It will take the power of the Holy Ghost in our lives to say, “Yes, I am, and I agree with the Word of God.” ALL OF IT...not just the acceptable part that people love to hear...BUT THE PART WHERE SIN WILL BE JUDGED...THAT NO VILE OR UNCLEAN PERSON (ONE NOT COVERED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS) WILL ENTER INTO HEAVEN...ALSO, THAT SIN WILL REAP ITS JUST REWARD...THAT JUDGMENT IS COMING UPON THIS WORLD...THAT JESUS IS THE ONE AND ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN.

Get ready! Don't delay! Call upon the Lord to give you what is needed when the question is asked, “Who Is On The Lord’s Side?”

Who Left The Gate Open? Conclusion

(for part 1 see 6/18/26)

At present, we are in the battle of our lives as we stand against the evil that has been unleashed upon our world. What we are experiencing did not come about overnight. This has been in the making for decades. The Wolf, Satan, has moved quietly but intently among the flock, doing his treacherous work. But his work has taken on a new level of intensity because he knows he only has a short time to work.

There is a monstrous storm gathering and is even now forming into a catastrophic event. Those who can’t weather the storm will be broken off! There will be casualties in the ensuing conflict. We cannot allow ourselves to be driven by the winds of this world. We must know the TRUTH and stand upon the TRUTH. Ephesians 4:14, “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”

The days ahead will require that we have and maintain a real experience in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our faith in Him will be put to the test, and even now the battle has become more intense. You can feel it in your spirit! This is all an attack by Satan and his demons from hell. But, greater is He that lives within me than he that is in the world.

We must maintain a healthy connection to Jesus Christ. Jesus said Himself, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing,” John 15:5. All our strength comes from Him. If our relationship in Christ remains vibrant and healthy, He will sustain us through any storm. Otherwise, the storm will break us, and we will be like so much discarded refuse! God have mercy upon us!

Don't Let Satan Steal Your Identity! by Myra Boozer

I believe Satan is working overtime to steal, kill, and destroy everyone he can. If you have heard anything about him, you know he is a liar and the father of lies. He is a fallen angel who is destined to be imprisoned in the bottomless pit. (See Revelation 20)

I want to tell you that he can only do what you allow him to do! As a Child of God, you are covered by the blood of Jesus. You have been purchased by the Son of God, bought with the price of Jesus’ great sacrificial death.

You are no longer the same person. You are the redeemed of the Lord, and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. You're God's very own child. That means you are of royal descent. You have authority and have the support of YOUR Father, God, to fight your battles against Satan.

Remember what I told you about Satan. He is working overtime in these last days to steal, kill, and destroy. (See John 10:10) I feel, more than ever today, that he is out to steal your identity in Christ Jesus. He will accuse you and lie to you about your Father, God. He does everything he can to make you doubt the Father's love for you, even to the point of telling you that you're not even saved. He will bring up the past and run you down with it if you allow him to!

I want to warn you! Immediately, you need to stand your ground, which is the Word of God. Tell Satan out loud if you need to that you are a redeemed Child of the Most High God.

Satan wants to steal your identity, causing you to doubt who your Father is, and causing you to fall into unbelief. He will strip you of your dignity and honor if you allow him to! Satan works in our minds and can cause us to doubt our Father's love for us. He can bring about a helpless and hopeless state of mind if we allow him to!

Rise up in Victory today as you stand on the Word of God! Tell Satan who he is and who you are. You are a blood-bought, righteous child of God. Jesus’ royal blood now flows in your veins!

Thank you, Father, because you have given us the right to be your children, heirs of your Kingdom. You have made us rich in power and authority over every evil force that comes against us, all because of your "Name." It's because of who you are and the fact that we belong to you. We are your children! Romans 8:14, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

Who Left The Gate Open?

John 10:12, “But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.”

The hireling has left the door open and the wolf, Satan, has entered in and made havoc of the flock. However, we cannot continue down this path. We must rise up in the power of the Holy Spirit and take back what the enemy has stolen. You might ask, “What has he stolen?” He has taken our families and our homes. He has taken our schools and educational systems. From there, he has taken control of our local governments, state governments, national and international governments. Over the period of the last few decades, Satan has moved God out of these institutions and governing bodies, and he almost does at will what he wants when he wants. Except for the “Restrainer!”

2 Thessalonians 2:6, “And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:”

God is still in control, and His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, is still restraining the full-blown takeover by Satan and his world of darkness. That time is coming and is quickly approaching, but God will determine when! (continued)

May I Use This Breath! by Myra Boozer

How beautiful are your ways, oh Lord. Your Glory and your Good Pleasure are such a delight. I learn from the very air I breathe how vast your love is to all mankind and the creatures you have created. You blow upon this earth, and we breathe. Our very Life is from your Breath. It is what sustains all of us!

Lord, may I use this breath you give to sing Praises to your Holy Name, to lift you high above the Mountains that your own breath created? You spoke all things into existence. May my heart rejoice in your Beauty and Splendor for all of my days.

May I use this breath to call upon you in a time to surrender my will to your perfect plan. Accept my heart's cry today, for I am helpless, useless, and utterly lost without your Mercy. I am as one who is groping in the darkness without you.

May I use this breath to tell someone of your great love. Some do not know, or have forgotten, just how much you love them. May my breath speak your unlimited Love to all people everywhere.

May I use this breath to speak Your Truth to those who should be ashamed, ashamed for turning away from your plan and going after their own “design” for lifestyle and behavior.

May I use this breath to sound the Alarm for all those who are far from you. Some who just gave up and put down their armor. Others who just want to seek out an easy way, still claiming your Name. And yet others who have fallen asleep and do not know the times in which we live. As in the days of Noah, they see the conditions yet deny the judgment coming on all who sin.

May I use this breath to speak Hope to the hopeless and Life to the dying, Peace to the restless, and Joy to the sorrowful. May my words be uplifting and encouraging as I speak of your soon return for your Bride, Your Church, Your People, Your Chosen Ones.

May I use this breath to speak of your great treasures...the ones you have hidden in your Word...the hidden riches of secret places...that they may know that you are the Lord God of Israel....Amen and Amen… May I Use This Breath!

Breath Of Heaven Breathe On Us! Conclusion

 (for part 1 see 6/16/26)

Jesus’ instructions to His disciples had been to go to Jerusalem and tarry (pray) until the Holy Ghost comes. Luke 24:49, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” The Holy Ghost is the power part of our commission to spread the Gospel message. Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Jesus fulfilled His promise in Acts 2:1, “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” The presence of the Holy Ghost was “a rushing mighty wind.” That is the way Christ wants to affect our world today. This rushing mighty wind of God changed the world in the lifetime of those very disciples.

In Acts 17, the Gospel message had met with tremendous opposition. The messengers of the Gospel put their lives at stake. The unbelieving Jews of Thessalonica were so indifferent to the Gospel that they sought to take Paul and Silas and give them to the angry crowd. Acts 17:6, “And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;” The unbelievers were compelled to declare that these Christians had turned the world upside down and had come to their city to do the same.

I would to God that it could be said of this present generation of Christians, they have turned the world upside down for Jesus Christ. However, if we are to be instruments of this harvest, we must be endued with power. It will take being filled with the Holy Ghost, “the rushing mighty wind,” to fulfill Jesus’ commission and finish our mission in these last days. Only the power of the Holy Ghost can seal and protect us from the darkness and evil that has flooded this world. The Holy Ghost in us will make us victorious in this spiritual war. Lord, send Your Mighty Wind upon us!

Listen To The Voice Of God! by Myra Boozer

Do you want to tell others about Jesus but just don’t know where to start? Being a Christian and feeling the everyday challenge to share Jesus with your world is sometimes overwhelming. Many people shy away from talking about their personal experience with Him. They want to push that responsibility off on the “Minister”. But when you have a heart for people, you want to somehow relay the “Good News Message” to them.

This is where a person starts. "Listen to the voice of God." He will lead you! It may be small steps at first, but keep listening and obeying His Word. God knows your heart, and He will give you those desires as they are rooted and grounded in HIM. As we are changed more and more into His likeness, people will see and know who He is. They may not tell you or admit but they will see and know. That means the Holy Spirit can and will deal with their heart, and they will make a choice to accept or reject what has been shared with them through your life. Because of your love for Jesus, people will be reached.

Keep your light burning for Him every day in every way by spending time in prayer, meditation, and study of His Word. When He opens doors or windows, you will know and understand the way you are to go.

Alone time with Him is what we all need more than anything. So many distractions today, so many voices saying, "Come and do this or that." But when God directs, their voices become very faint, and His becomes stronger. He will confirm Himself over and over to you that you are in His will. Rejection will be evident at times, and it HURTS, but Jesus heals our hurts in His time.

Keep on keeping on for Christ in the area you feel He is calling. We are not all called to do the exact same thing, but we have the same purpose...Telling the world the “Good News” of Jesus Christ...the one who saves, delivers, gives hope and a future with Him in Heaven. Keep a hunger and thirst for His righteousness. The promise is, YOU will be FILLED...you will overflow...and others will receive Light for this journey if they so desire. His light shining through you puts them face-to-face with His TRUTH! Listen To The Voice Of God!

Breath Of Heaven Breathe On Us!

It was a hot summer morning in mid-August in the South. You could say that it was a typical day for the season, high humidity with little to no wind. I went about my business without really giving attention to these details, but that was about to change.

I stood in quiet solitude and listened to the tree leaves as they began to respond to a slight breeze. It was as though they were individual instruments in a grand symphony, the pitch and tempo rising and falling but in perfect harmony, each separate but still in sync.

The wind was slight at first, barely noticeable except for the song the leaves sang. I began to feel the cool wind as it caressed my face and hair. The sensation grew in intensity! The wind blew stronger and then subsided. It came in pulsating bursts, strong enough to take the hat from my head, and then at rest.

I observed and felt this scenario repeated for several moments. And then, a voice spoke into my spirit, “a rushing mighty wind.” Yes, Lord, I know it is You, and I hear what You are saying! Our Lord, Jesus Christ, wants to reveal Himself through the Holy Spirit to change our world. His desire is to fill you and me with the Holy Spirit, endue us with power (His Power) from on high, and turn our world upside down. He wants the world to see and acknowledge His presence in us. Breath Of God, Breathe On Us one more time! (continued)

(I wrote this some time ago, but it is still relevant today to where we are as a people.)

Sing Your Song Of Deliverance! by Myra Boozer

When you feel caught and destined to die in a trap that Satan has laid out before you, call to remembrance some people from the Bible. Joseph was rejected by his own brothers, thrown into a pit, and sold as a slave. Paul was shipwrecked and so much more. Daniel was thrown into a den of Lions. Job lost everything, including his health and his family. But each of these men had songs of Deliverance to sing in the end. You can also, if you choose!

A trap or a pit of despair can seem like eternity. When you feel forsaken, lonely, depressed, financially stripped, sick, and even at death's door, as these men were. What do you do? What did they do? They called out to their God and trusted in Him to deliver them.

You must not look at your circumstances but look straight up from your pit and cry out to the Lord your God. I pray you will see the Light and the Angel of the Lord will be your Deliverer!

Most of us would do anything to avoid life's tests and trials, especially the temptations set before us because of our own desires. But they still happen, and we have the choice to remain caught or be set free by God's delivering power. God will always bring good out of the hard times when we endure and trust in Him.

Acknowledge your fleshly desires and the sin that has beset you and repent. Give all your pain to God and confess your hurt, the resentment, and the anger. Allow God to help you to forgive those who hurt you and receive God's forgiveness and His love for you.

Remember, He cares! He loves you, and He will stay close during your healing process as long as it takes. He is never far, always near. Soon, you'll be ready for the grand finale. So sing your Song of Deliverance and Freedom!

Psalm 40:3, “And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.”

A Life Nourished By The Word Of Truth! Conclusion

(for part 1 see 6/14/26)

Timothy’s primary task at Ephesus was to put a stop to false teaching and replace it with the Truth. He was to teach the Truth and prepare others to teach it. He was also to set the example by being a follower of the Truth, which he taught.

1 Timothy 4:6, “If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.” These things may include not only what we read in chapter 4 but also the other things covered in the entire letter. In sharing the teachings of the Lord, Timothy would also benefit from being nourished by the Word of Truth.

Paul calls for a life of godliness, which is a reverent, worshipful, obedient attitude toward God. Such an attitude leads to right living. 1 Timothy 4:7, “But refuse profane and old wives fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” An authentic teacher of Truth will fulfill that role by verbal expression and a living example. Jesus became our example in word and deed. We should acquaint ourselves with His Word in such a way as to know the Truth and recognize deceptive teaching.

Many have been led astray because they failed to recognize untruth. They have been deceived and have followed on to deceive many others having their conscience seared, unwilling to follow God’s leading. 2 Thessalonians 2:8, “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.“

The Soul Cries Out For Truth! by Myra Boozer

May those who are spiritually hungry rise up and say so…

May they call out to the teachers, preachers, the elders,

the Body of Christ...the Church...

May they tell them they are looking for a refuge, a half-way

house until they get HOME...

May they tell them the decor and the newest electronics

are not their interest...

May they tell them it is the Fresh Bread that brings

Life and Hope...

It isn't found in the steeple or the pews…

Neither is it found in the technology of the service...

But in the TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD...the Spirit, the life-giving transformation...

It is found in the revelation of Jesus and His love for their

cries, for their struggles and heartaches...

The world is heartless, cold, and cruel...

They don't need to become another face in the crowd,

overlooked and forsaken...

The hungry need to be fed...

"Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind: Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock," I Peter 5:2-3.

The Truth Is Our Salvation!

The Truth is our salvation! 1 Timothy 4:16, “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.” Paul had left Timothy to shepherd the Church at Ephesus. Now he is writing to him to warn of the troublesome teachers there. These teachers were apparently Jewish Christians who wanted to enforce the Old Testament Law in the Church. They wanted to be teachers of the Law, though they did not understand it. 1 Timothy 1:7, “Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.”

In the First Century as in the Twenty-First, some teachers denied that the dead are raised. Others said that Jesus was never really human, and still others said He was not divine. But it seems that the teachers whom Paul spoke about spent much time with genealogies, perhaps to exalt themselves as priests or as descendants of David.

It doesn’t matter who our ancestors are; if we fail to seek out and embrace the Truth of God’s Word, we will be lost! We may have spent our whole lives in church, but if we have not been born again (born from above) with the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives, we cannot live in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 5:9, “...the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

There is Life in the Truth! All else is vain and fruitless! The Old Covenant Law was so mixed with tradition and fable that their teaching produced confusion instead of enlightenment. The result was questions and vain jangling. 1 Timothy 1:4, “Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. 5Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 6From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;” The revelation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will not cause confusion! 1 Corinthians 14:33, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”

1 Timothy 4:1, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”

Paul is dealing with some questions that have arisen in the Church at Ephesus. He was inspired by the Holy Ghost to deliver a warning for that present time, but also equally relevant to today. Some followers of Christ had already turned aside. (see 1 Tim. 1:6) Unless Timothy could counteract these “soldiers of deception,” more would depart from the faith in the time just ahead. They would give in to seducing spirits and be deceived! They would accept and teach doctrines of devils instead of teaching and living the Truth of God.

Paul also describes what will happen to these soldiers of deception. They will follow after lies, having their conscience seared over and being non-responsive to the Spirit of Truth. It is easy to go from an honest mistake to an outright lie. The carnal man will justify a half-truth to benefit selfish goals. But, such a lifestyle will move a person from attempting to follow Christ to being deceived and deceiving others. (continued)

Bid Me Come, Lord! by Myra Boozer

Lord, seeing you, having my focus on you doesn't always make the circumstances disappear. But my focus and faith rise to a different level. There, I can regain my knowledge of who you actually are and realize how you have every detail in your Book. You know the end from the beginning. You are in control of all that is going on in this world today.

You, Lord, are greater than my mind can conceive. I only get a glimpse of your greatness when I turn my eyes toward you. When Peter walked upon the waters, the winds and waves didn't cease for his delightful experience. They continued to roar! However, He was not looking at them! His focus was upon the one who called him to "come." He rose above them, but they were still there.

We must not be overtaken by the circumstances around us, and yes, they seem to be quite out of hand. We wonder what will happen tomorrow? We may question the stability of everything we have ever trusted in. But, just like Peter, we can say, Lord, bid me to come to you. Call me, Lord! Lift me up out of this ship of confusion that is no longer my refuge. I trust you to be my safe haven.

Lord, help me focus on you, not on the things that are crumbling under my feet. Help me, Lord, to step out in faith and realize that you are all I need. You are my hope, my everlasting consolation.

You are calling all who are heavy-laden to come unto you! One day, you will, "with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God," call us to come up to where you are to be with you forever. That is the call we long to hear. Bid Me Come, Lord!

Let It Start In Me!

There is a change coming. Let it start in me.” The lines have been drawn. God will bring His plan to completion. Satan will fight against God and all who identify with His holiness. The wind of God’s Holy Spirit is effectuating the change necessary in the heart of every believer to make us ready for the finale. Change is coming! Are you willing to be changed?

Father God, I pray for the Body of Christ, all of us! Help us to hear what You are saying to the Church. Create within us a renewed desire to walk in intimacy with You. Bring us so close that the wind of Your Spirit cannot pass between us except we are aware of what You are doing in the Body.

Father, we must have Your direction and instruction. Push back the darkness that clouds our minds and thoughts and prevents us from walking fully in Your light. Burn away the fog of deception with the fire of Your Holy Spirit in our presence. Lead us forward into Your Divine plan for each of us and collectively as the Body of Christ. Shine Your Light upon our path that we can see clearly the way You have chosen for us.

Help us each one to find our place and serve with renewed passion. Create that passion in us as we submit to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Empower us to share Your message in the anointing of Your Spirit. Break the chains that prevent us from seeing total victory. Create within us an insatiable hunger for renewal and spiritual awakening.

Father God, send Your Holy Ghost fire among us. Baptize us afresh in Your Pentecostal power. Father breathe upon us once again. Breathe Your life into this breathless, hopeless mortal body. Quicken us with Your Life giving Spirit. Cause cloven tongues of fire to rest upon us yet once more. Thank you, Jesus! Stir the burning embers of our past experience that they may break into a full blaze of present revival fire. Send Your fire Lord and prepare us to receive Him when He comes! In Jesus Name, Amen.”

Truth Will Prevail! by Myra Boozer

I want to hear YOU, Lord! I want to listen to Your Word and also hear Your voice! The winds are blowing up a storm, and I see on the horizon a new dilemma, a time of trouble, a time of emergency for those who are not aware, for those not prepared, for those who are busy and overtaken by their own plans and desires.

What do we do? They have ears to hear, but do not hear, and eyes to see, but do not see. They are getting angry with those speaking about your Return. They are not interested in our words! They have Big Plans to stay! Sometimes I feel I am pulling back; I don't want to do that. I pray you give me Your words.

(This is the answer God gave!)

"Truth will PREVAIL...
Truth will stand STRONG, in the evil and corrupt day...
It will be VICTORIOUS...
It will SING LOUD AND STRONG...
It will TRIUMPH...
No enemy is able to stand AGAINST Truth...
The WORD is TRUTH...
The WORD is GOD...
I am the BEGINNING and the END...
I have NO other PLAN...
I will SURVIVE!
Those who want to be on the winning side must come along with the PLAN I have laid down...NO other plan, NO other way!
FORSAKE all and FOLLOW ME.
BE INSTANT IN SEASON AND OUT OF SEASON...
CLOTHE yourself in RIGHTEOUSNESS...
RIGHT LIVING and BELIEVING will be the TICKET for the SURVIVAL of MY BODY...
NO ONE can come to me except they come MY WAY...
I AM THE WAY...
TRUTH will PREVAIL...and the SON will shine after the STORM...
LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING, but LEAN ON ME, FOR I AM THE STRONG AND MIGHTY ONE...
I AM HE THAT KEEPETH ISRAEL...I DO NOT SLEEP, AND I AM NOT SLACK CONCERNING MY PROMISES TO YOU AND ALL WHO LOVE ME...
SEEK ME DAILY with all of your SOUL, MIND, AND STRENGTH...
TRUST ME! STAY CLOSE AND BELIEVE THAT I AM HE WHO IS FROM THE BEGINNING...I AM MIGHTY TO RESCUE AND SAVE ALL WHO CALL ON ME…"

How Do We Respond When Confronted By The Enemy? Conclusion

(for part 1 see 6/11/26)

God sent young David to the battlefield that day because He needed a champion, and He had chosen David. He didn’t choose someone who would be measured as a warrior. The king’s armor would not fit this ruddy young lad, but nevertheless, he was God’s champion. He left the field that day with a resounding victory because he gave himself into the hands of God.

The Body of Christ is facing its own spiritual giants. At the same time, the Holy Spirit is raising up God’s Champions to render the enemy helpless and deliver a resounding victory. We know how this will end. God will be the victor! But are we willing to answer God’s call and become His Champion for His cause? David used what was familiar to him, his faith in God and his slingshot. He became a willing participant in God’s cause. Will you give yourself without reservation into the hands of God and become a willing participant in His cause?

Remember the One we represent! We are covered by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is POWER in the NAME of JESUS! He will vanquish every foe and cause us to triumph over every evil plan of the enemy. Give yourself wholly into His hands and become His CHAMPION? Thanks be to God who gives us the VICTORY today and forever through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Take Authority Over The Darkness! by Myra Boozer

Satan wants us to carry every trivial little problem until it grows so huge that it breaks us down. He wants us to be so covered over by it that we can't see the light of day. He is a LIAR and the father of lies, but for some reason, we just keep letting him talk. And talk he will as long as we give him an audience.

It is time to take authority over any and all voices that tell you there is no hope. It seems that so many people are hopeless today... so many troubles, trials, sicknesses, and heartbreaks.

We cry out, “Lord, when will our country wake up and quit all this hate and evil that spews from so many?”

There seems to be a great shadow of darkness hovering over this world like a giant blanket. It is coming because many people have let trivial things bring them so low that they cannot stand up in Faith and take authority over them!

NO, it isn't easy to take authority over the darkness, but we must! We must pray continually for GOD to push back the darkness!! Jesus is LIGHT...He is HOPE...He is PEACE. Don't allow all the sorrows of this world to pile up on your heart and break you down. Take them each one to the LORD! He knows our every concern, and He will help us deal with all the turmoil of our day.

Resting in His POWER to push back darkness is the key to making it! Jesus gives us the strength to go on until HE COMES! Encourage one another with the FACT He is COMING SOON! Take Authority Over The Darkness!

How Do We Respond When Confronted By The Enemy?

1 Samuel 17:40, “And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine...45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand;...”

What is the significance of the smooth stones that David chose? The smooth stones were more aerodynamic. They would fly straight. David knew this not because he had studied physics at the University of Jerusalem. He knew this through his own practical experience with a slingshot. This was a tried and true weapon in the hands of a proficient champion. David used what he had in his hands. He used what he knew best, his faith in the Lord God of Israel and his slingshot. The combination of the two was a sure formula for victory.

What do we do when confronted by the enemy? Much like the armies of Israel when confronted by the Philistines and their champion, we stand motionless in fear at the very prospect of defeat. Thoughts of doubt and uncertainty flood our minds and cause us to lose heart. In our minds, we are defeated already! And if that is our mindset, then we are defeated before we even engage the enemy. Let us be reminded of who we represent. We enter the plain of battle in the name of the same Lord God Jehovah that David represented. We have the same resources! Use what is in your hand and trust God! (continued)

The Worth Of Your Soul? by Myra Boozer

I was awakened in the early morning hours with this thought, “the worth of a soul!” My thoughts automatically went to the scripture. "Behold, all souls are mine..." Ezekiel 18:4a. I actually went back to sleep, and the thought was with me when I got up. I was searching and thinking, “The worth of a soul?” It has got to be enormous because of the price Jesus paid. He bought us with his precious blood. So we are valuable! But how valuable? What are we worth?

Some may put a great value upon themselves, thinking of themselves more highly than they should. But they will never come to the value that God the Father and His Son have placed upon them. What makes something worth anything? Something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it!

I found this in an article that came from Rescuing Wayward Children. "Can we imagine that the Savior, innocent of sin, who had assumed the staggering weight of the demands of justice until vessels broke and blood seeped from every pore of His suffering body, who had submitted Himself to brutal beatings, to unconscionable humiliation, to arrogant injustice, to the torture of a thirty-nine-lash scourging, to the horror of being stripped and stretched violently upon a cross, to being raised up to hang, full-body weight, from those spikes until He allowed death to overwhelm Him – can we imagine that after the Redeemer had paid that immeasurable price to ransom every individual, that He would lose interest in a sinner, give up, or stop short of His rescuing effort?"

Wow, this was overwhelming for me to read. I don't usually go that deep into my thinking about His suffering. I much rather think of His Resurrection. It makes me smile and rejoice that, because He lives, I can live also.

But to find my answer, I had to acquaint myself afresh with His suffering. I had to go there and experience the thoughts of what He was so willing to pay. He paid the ultimate price for me and for YOU. That puts a big price tag on us, all because of Him, not because of any good thing we have done.

It will take a revelation from the Lord for us to see people in the same light that Jesus does. "When we fix our eyes on what is really important to God, it will be people." Jesus died for ALL PEOPLE! He paid the price, making each one as valuable as the other. When our eyes are opened, we will "see the great value and plan that God has for all people." (I wrote this some time ago, but the message is still relevant for today.)

Lost Souls, Lost For Eternity?

Matt. 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

Don’t postpone the harvest! The harvest is ready! I am hearing the message of Jesus’ soon coming more each day, and I believe that is the inspiration of God, allowing us to know that time is short. We cannot delay in fulfilling Christ’s commission to preach the Gospel and make disciples for Jesus. We cannot afford to delay or be negligent in our Divine task. There is too much at stake. The salvation of those we love and influence is at risk! Who will reach them if we are not obedient to His calling? How can we escape if we neglect this great salvation? The time to win them is while God is calling us! If He is instructing us to take the message, He is preparing hearts to receive the message!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer to the needs of all people. In the book of Luke, the angel's announcement of the birth of Christ was the proclamation of Good News for all mankind. Luke 2:10, “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” All men must hear the message of redemption and freedom in Jesus Christ.

Our “Mission” is ordained and empowered by God. Christ commissioned the Church, but as His disciples, we must embrace His command and accept individual responsibility to share the “Good News.” The Church will fulfill Her role and complete Her Mission. As individuals, we have a choice. We will either embrace His call or settle for something less than complete surrender. Without total abandon for Christ, we cannot finish our assignment successfully. We cannot afford to fail in this endeavor.

Matt. 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Lost Souls, Lost For Eternity!!!

God Is Not Hiding! by Myra Boozer

As the wind speaks to the leaves, they obey! They move in the direction the wind bids them to go, up, down, left, right, or in a circle. They seem to delightfully sway as though they enjoy the rhythm of the song.

When the winds get loud and rowdy, everything seems to scream HELP! The trees bow so low and obey as much as possible. It is so dependent upon the tree's flexibility and the root system if they survive. Sometimes the wind is so boisterous that it doesn't matter how strong the tree is; it will twist so hard that a healthy limb will pop right off. I know this because I had to place a perfectly fine-looking limb on the curb due to strong winds and pick up many smaller limbs. They had already died and were ready for removal, but the green one had plans for next spring; the evidence was there with the green berries.

Actually, when I see the stirring in the trees, I sense they are just worshiping the Creator, and with such pleasure. It is a most enjoyable sight. We call this a summer breeze here in the South. It is most welcome, especially to the hard-working person who needs refreshing. It can make a most miserable day become enjoyable.

As I write about this, I am reminded that we cannot see the wind, but we certainly see the effects of it, just as I can see the effects of what God is doing in our world. I don't actually see God, but I know He is here. He is everywhere. He is working among all people on earth to bring about His plan for these last days. From the Middle East to North Korea, China, and Europe, from the West Coast of California to the Gulf of Mexico to the East Coast of Maine, from hate that is foaming across our land to the little child being bullied by a classmate, God is working, and nothing escapes His gaze.

It may appear to some that God is hiding out in the heavens. But He is moving just like the wind. He is stirring, blowing, and is about to howl because of the sin in this world. Just as the wind, God is not seen by man. John 1:18, "No man hath seen God at any time:" But, He is in the midst of every situation. Nothing takes Him by surprise! Man may think he has it all in the bag, that plans have been laid, and the program will go as he has designed. But God, like the wind, makes the calls, and man must obey, yield to His will, or be tossed to the curb.

Isaiah 46:10, "Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:"
