Good News! by Myra Boozer

Singing the old songs and hymns can really make one homesick for Heaven and for our loved ones who are already there. Listening to these songs carries one into a place where the heart swells with love for our Lord Jesus. He is the one who has done so much for all of us...not just a few, a specific people or a particular nationality...BUT FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE! That includes YOU...

He gave His all for YOU, whoever you are! If you're feeling lonely, forsaken, lost, and hopeless, I have good news for you. You are not forgotten! Jesus knows you by name! He desires to forgive you and heal your broken heart. He wants a relationship with you unlike any you have ever known. He will be your constant companion and friend, your provider, your confidant, and your Savior. He will carry you through this life and take you to His Home when this life is over.

Just look up and give yourself in total surrender to Him. He sees every tear you cry, and He knows just how you feel. You see, He too is forsaken and forgotten by so many today. Many who have in the past called Him Lord and Master have fallen into a trap of Satan. They have fallen for his lies and tried to make it without God. They are now bruised and battered by Satan. They were blinded by his influence as they were drawn away by their own lust. Some who were reaching for a higher level of fame and fortune have only fallen deeper and deeper into Satan's scheme of destruction. They are almost destroyed by this enemy, feeling rejected and hopeless.

GOOD NEWS! It isn't too late because He still knows you by name. He knows your MOTHER’S NAME AND YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S NAME. HE REMEMBERS THOSE WHO PRAYED MANY PRAYERS FOR THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN, and He is answering those prayers. He also knows those who had no one to pray for them. He knows where you are, and HE is there with you as you read this. Fall into His arms of Mercy! It's not too late, but the time to seek Him is when He is calling. If you feel Him speaking to YOUR heart, Don't delay! Answer, Yes Lord! If you don't feel HIM, cry out until you do feel Him! "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit..." Psalm 34:18. That is the Good News!

Choose Eternal Life!

John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

Life just happens! But serving Jesus Christ requires deliberate action. Life will go on all around you, and you don’t have to do a thing. You can sit and watch the sun rise and set and not lift a finger to do anything, and life will still go on. Babies are born, and death takes others away, but life goes on. Some people are thrilled to the heavens about life, and others are depressed enough to die, but life goes on. Whether we choose to participate in life or not, life will continue to move forward, moving us into our future and our eternity.

But it matters what choice each individual makes regarding their life. It is so important that we choose eternal life in Jesus Christ and take deliberate action to serve Him. Take advantage of the opportunities God gives you today to assure that your eternity includes Him! Choose Eternal Life!

The Peace Of Jerusalem! by Myra Boozer

It seems that few other countries want that to be the case. However, God wants it, and that is the way it will be. Children of God, take notice of the events transpiring in our world and the corresponding prophecies of God’s Word relating to the consummation of all things! Be ready; Jesus can come at any hour!

At the time of my original article, I had gone to my desk to pull out a notebook to write down my Christmas menu, and I found this written on the first page. Psalm 122:6, “Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee...” Added to that was this...Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem is really praying for Shalom, or praying for the Messiah to come to earth. I knew I was to let this settle into my heart, so I gave some time to it. I looked up the Psalm and read the chapter. Verse 7 says, "Peace be within thy walls and prosperity within thy palaces...” That is where true biblical peace is found...within!

The word Shalom also stood out to me. It is a Hebrew word and means much more than just Peace. We have often discussed the scripture, "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem" and felt that it could have a double meaning. "Peace" is not only a lack of war but also for the Prince of Peace to come. For some time we have felt in our hearts that when we pray for the peace of Jerusalem we are really praying for Jesus to come and set up His kingdom.

"Today many are praying for the peace of Jerusalem due to the rising threat from Israel's enemies. However, this exhortation to pray is not so Israel can live without conflict. It is so that Jerusalem can fulfill its destiny as set by the only One who can bring complete RESTORATION to the city...It almost sounds like we are praying for the return of Israel's Messiah, the Prince of Peace, to establish His throne in Jerusalem...There are many other examples worthy of study regarding shalom. Peace is so much more than the world's one-sided definition. We must find our understanding of it through the Bible from the God of Israel. We will need it in the days ahead.” Doug Hersey

Pray for The Peace Of Jerusalem!

By My Spirit Saith The Lord!

Zech. 4:6, "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."

As the Body of Christ, we must move forward in the unabated anointing of the Holy Spirit. The knowledge and wisdom of man will not be sufficient for the conflict just ahead. The Holy Spirit is our indispensable confidant as we move toward the culmination of God’s plan. Unabated means “continuing at full strength or force without becoming weaker. Being at full strength or force.” We will require the full authority, presence, and perspective of the Holy Spirit every moment of this journey. We dare not proceed without being fully immersed in His person and baptized in the power of His presence. His guidance is essential! The choices and decisions ahead will be difficult. Not difficult to make but difficult in the sense of their consequences. A step forward without the absolute wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit could put us on a path of irreparable error. At the very least, choices made without the full assurance of the Holy Spirit will cause unnecessary sorrow and suffering. The road back is always burdensome.

The storms of darkness are raging against the Light of Truth set upon the hill. Matt. 5:14, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Jesus was talking to His Church and informing them that they would carry His Light for all to see. No matter how severe the storms may be, they must submit to the Command of the Light. Jesus is the Light in us. The storms will respond to only ONE voice, the Master’s voice. When the storms of life are raging, He will stand by me. At the mere utterance of His command, the winds cease, and there is peace.

Jesus is our refuge from the storm of evil and darkness that has invaded our world. We must take shelter in our hiding place! My soul craves the quietness there. In the stillness, I find peace and rest. He lifts me above this world's raging sea. He quiets the winds and calms the blustery waves. He commands, “Peace, be still,” and the wholeness of my life returns! By My Spirit Saith The Lord!

Mercy And Truth Meet Together! by Myra Boozer

Psalm 85:10, “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.”

Psalm 85:10 is one of my favorite scriptures. You know, Truth is so strong and forceful it stands tall, but without mercy it cannot make its way into the heart of man. They go hand in hand, and that, my friend, is because of Jesus.

Righteousness (right living) is so hard for many of us. We try to do good and be acceptable in the eyes of God. We all come up short because our goodness is nothing. It is His power that dwells in us. That only comes because of Jesus, and I say, "teach me your ways, O Lord." Pick me up and put me back on that straight path. When He does, it isn't always pleasant, but usually after tears of repentance, “Peace will come so sweetly and Kiss Righteousness.” Peace can't be bought with money or bartered in any way. It only comes when we yield everything over to the Prince of Peace and fully rely on Him.

The Message Of Deliverance For All Who Believe!

2 Cor. 6:2, “...behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

The Message Bible states it this way, “Well, now is the right time to listen, the day to be helped.” This is the Message of deliverance for all who will believe! All repented sin is forgiven in the Gospel! All human weakness is given strength in the Gospel! All chains of bondage are broken in the Gospel! All the poor receive the Good News in the Gospel! All the broken hearts are healed in the Gospel! All the captives are delivered in the Gospel! All the blind receive their sight in the Gospel! All the bruised are given liberty in the Gospel! All the burdened and battered are set free in the Gospel! The Gospel is the Good News of the delivering power of Jesus Christ through His shed blood. Jesus became the sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. Through His sacrifice, we are delivered from sin and sin’s punishment.

Come To Me! by Myra Boozer

COME TO ME when you are hurting, and I will soothe your pain. Come to Me when you are joyful, and I will share your joy, multiplying it many times over," from “Jesus Calling.”

If the things that bring us joy are things that are acceptable in the sight of the Lord, it is so easy to share them with Him. But, on the other hand, if we are taking pleasure from the things of this world, things that His word says not to partake of, then we cannot share those with Him. That is where we come up short. Because His Word says, "The Joy of the Lord is my STRENGTH," Neh. 8:10.

Are you Spiritually weak today? Check whether you have been taking pleasure in the WRONG things. That could be your answer, especially if you are seeking to be closer to the Lord and wanting to enjoy your life in Him. He has a plan, and it works!

Matt. 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

It's Time To Come Home!

In the book of Luke, chapter 15, a certain man had two sons. The youngest of them decided he wanted to go out and make his mark in the world. So he took his portion of his father’s goods and went away into a far country. There he wasted his inheritance in riotous living. “And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want,” Luke 15:14. He found himself living with pigs, and no one would help him. However, it was while he suffered in those deplorable conditions that his sense of home returned to him. Luke 15:17, “And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. 20 And he arose, and came to his father.”

In that terrible place and demeaning position, he began to think about home and the pleasant memories of serving in his father's house. He came to his right senses, saying, “I will arise and go to my father...” v18. His sense of guilt and remorse brought him to a state of repentance, making him willing to be a servant in his father's house. He left his deplorable life and returned to his father. His father received him with open arms, declaring, “...my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry,” v.24.

It’s Time To Come Home! It doesn’t matter where you are or how deplorable your life. Your Heavenly Father wants you to know that He loves you and stands waiting with His arms open, ready to welcome you home. Come on home, son or daughter! Your provision is in Your Father’s house!

John 6:35, “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

My Life Is In Your Hands! by Myra Boozer

Psalms 62:5, “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.”

Lord, my life is in your hands. My tears are in your bottle. All my days have been written in your Book.

Lord, my life is in your hands. I will not be overwhelmed by the terror by night nor the arrow that flies by day. Because you love me, I will come when you call.

I will wait until you come, and I will rejoice in your mercy. All I will ever need is found in you, Lord. May I always be listening for your voice. My Life is in your hands.

James 5:7, “Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.”

He Restores My Soul!

Psalm 23:1, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”

God is enough for any person who will put their full trust in Him. The writer of this passage knew that very well. Speaking from the perspective of one who spent his young life with sheep, David knew the attributes of a good shepherd and made the comparison to his relationship with God.

David had learned that God would provide all that he needed in life. But more than that, he knew that God would lead him in the direction that best pleased Him for His honor and His glory. He also knew that God would be with him every step of the way, though he had to travel through the enemy’s camp. God’s anointing would be sufficient for all his days, and in the end he would dwell in the presence of God forever.

Jesus Christ is enough for us today if we will put our full trust in Him. He will provide all that we will ever need in this life. He will do that for His name's sake! We carry His Name as followers of Christ. It is His reputation that He will defend and protect. In the presence of our enemies, He will raise up His Standard. We will walk in His anointing all our days and in the end rest in His presence forever.

How can anyone pass up this glorious opportunity? How can we neglect such an awesome invitation? He Restores My Soul!

Our Hope Is Jesus! by Myra Boozer

It is up to you...After you pour out your heart and rid yourself of all doubt and fears...reach up to the ONE who can change that picture and give you the best drink of water you have ever had. He will tear down those walls and open doors that have been closed. His promise is for you! If you are looking down instead of looking up, God loves you...Love Him back and watch things begin to change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEtDhcmQtzs&t=40s

What Is The Answer?

What is the answer to the atrocious, appalling, frightful conditions around the world? We have never lived in a time equal to the suffering, discord, and mayhem we are seeing today. The whole of mankind has failed in its effort to govern and provide for the basic needs of humanity. What is the answer?

The Angels announced the answer over 2000 yrs. ago in a field just outside a little town in Judea called Bethlehem. Luke 2:7, “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger....10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

Although the answer was given, He was rejected much like He is being rejected in our world today. Many are rejecting the gift of Jesus, the Messiah, our Savior. In the world's wholesale rejection of God's solution to our problem, the whole of humanity has plunged into a deep, impenetrable darkness from which only the Light of Lights can deliver us. John 1:9, “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”

The current world climate is similar to the time of Noah. Gen. 6:5, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Men had become so wicked in their manner of living and thought that God concluded that He would erase the slate and start over. I am convinced that is where we are now. God is preparing to erase mortal flesh as we know it and create a new heaven and new earth to begin new and fresh.

There will be one great difference between Noah's new beginning and the New World to come. In our new habitat, the forces of sin and evil will be cast into the lake of fire and are eliminated forever. There will not be carnal, fleshly, sinful governance, for all present in the New World will have been born of the Spirit and changed for eternity. All disobedience and rebellion will be cast into outer darkness. Jesus will sit on His Throne and govern His Kingdom with Truth and Righteousness. Matt. 6:13, “...For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” Jesus Is The Answer!

In The Valley, God Restores! by Myra Boozer

We are made BY GOD and FOR GOD. When we come to realize THAT, everything takes on new meaning. BUT then there are seasons in our lives, the ending of one and the beginning of another. Most of the time there is a pause, a space in-between where we are in the lull and we just need NEW direction and inspiration. We need a good cleaning of our perspective. A time to know what is IMPORTANT. A time to get things in order as God would have them. There is a time for all things, a time to sow and a time to reap. This calls for different tactics, a different approach. So, we must have this serious personal time with the Lord.

Sometimes people think that God has left them, during the lull, the space in-between, but that is not so. This time is often difficult to adjust to. It sometimes appears to be a "valley." The reputation of the valley causes many to run scared. The talk about being "down in the valley," "alone in the valley," “no sunshine in the valley.” This talk is damaging to those who are young in the Lord. They expect the worst, thinking they will never come out. It can be frightful, but don't lose HOPE.

It is time for the singing of a different song...the time of shedding off the old thoughts and taking on the new vision...But also a time of finding great comfort and restoration. In the valley, He restores our soul. He does not leave us there, but when the time is fully come He will lead us out into the New Day...A NEW SEASON of our LIFE, stronger and better than before. He never forsakes us in the VALLEY. "...I will fear no evil, for thou art with me..." Psalm 23:4. God Restores in the valley!

Seeking God With A Sincere Heart!

Jeremiah 29:13, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” God is always available, “...ye shall seek me, and find me...” He is always with us. However, we must have a sense of His presence to recognize His voice and to understand what he is doing or planning to do. God's promise is that we will find Him when we search for Him with all our heart.

The human condition requires the intervention of our Creator. We always need God's assistance. The question is, “Do we really want his help?” Are we willing to relinquish complete control of our lives to Him? He knows the way we take (the path we should follow) and will direct our steps accordingly. Seek God With A Sincere Heart!

Go Light Your World! by Myra Boozer

Dear Lord, I ask that your LIGHT shine in the darkness today. Many are struggling and can't find their way. They seem to have no one to point them to you. They are so alone and lost without your guiding light.

Lord, I will be a candle if you will trim my wick and set my soul on fire. My heart is willing, and my compassion is growing stronger for a people who are covered in such deep, deep darkness. I know one candle isn't much for the multitudes. But my heart cries out to help! If it's just one person, that person is so WORTH SAVING!

May I share your LIGHT in this dark and lonely world of struggling, helpless souls. You, Lord, can make their path clear when they see your ever-Guiding Light… even if it is from one small candle…

From one who's so glad I found YOUR LIGHT…

Push Back Against The Darkness! Conclusion

(For part 1 see 7/13/26)

Spiritual darkness has come upon this world like a spiritual tsunami! Our struggles in the spirit realm have spilled over into our physical world and invariably affect our way of life. It is a serious matter to exclude God from our daily lives. That is what has transpired in many nations, including the United States. God has been legislated out of our schools, governments, and public arenas. It is there that truth and justice should be promoted and encouraged. We have allowed our leaders to prohibit the mention of God in our public places and then wonder why our world is in such a mess. We have excluded God, and He has left us to our own devices and the consequences of governing in the flesh.

Satan has silently done his work. We did not recognize the evil he intended and unwittingly became a partaker of his evil scheme. But we cannot go silently into the night. Even at this late hour we must draw attention to the evil and avarice in this world! We must take a stand for truth and righteousness! We must actively and purposefully push back against the darkness.

Matt. 5:14, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

What has happened to the light? Where are God’s Champions for Truth and Righteousness? Jude 1:3, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Instead of being separated from the world to be a light to the world, the world has been assimilated into the churches. When we rely more on the planning and production models that we have observed in the world than on the revelation and anointing of the Holy Spirit, how can we expect people to be enlightened and changed? Can we really expect lives to be convicted of sin and changed in repentance and regeneration without the leading and anointing of the Holy Spirit?

Why do we fall back on the arm of the flesh? Because it is the easier route. With the abundance of resources, anyone can develop their own program or plan. However, for the revelation and the anointing of the Holy Ghost, we must go to God’s Word and take time to be alone with God and His Word. We must bury our faces into the carpet on the floor and cry out to God with everything that is within us, fervently seeking God to send His fire among us to address the needs of a lost and dying world. God alone has the solution. Jesus Christ is the answer! Push Back Against The Darkness!

What God Has Ordained, He Will Establish! by Myra Boozer

Isaiah 46:9, “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.”

I love walls and gates. I love boundaries of protection with gates that open to new revelation or new experiences. In 2013 and before, we were praying, "Open the doors you want open, Lord, and close those you want closed." We have learned that His Ways are so much better than ours, and that to Trust Him brings great Joy!

Today, we are giving so much Praise and Honor to our Lord, who opened the way for us to minister to the Whole World. We are so humbled and feel like David...whom God pulled from the fields all dirty and sweaty from tending to his Father's sheep...unworthy, unknown by many and just hidden away from all the crowds...but yet remembering what God had spoken to us on many occasions and He has made our calling and election very sure (confident, positive, absolute, certain without doubt, determine, ESTABLISH).

We knew that in His time God would reveal to us His Will for these Last Days. I was reminded by a friend as she told me that God spoke these words to her, "What God ordains He will establish." Those whom God calls, He ordains, He consecrates with His anointing. It is not for us to question but to yield to His timing. For He will establish (to work or settle in a permanent place), build up, set up, install, to prove, verify, and confirm.

David's own family had no real confidence in him. When he went to the battlefield to serve them food, they knew him as their little brother doing the work that maybe they didn't want to do. He wasn't a popular person, but he was a person who loved God and had seen firsthand how God had protected him against the bear and the lion. David had a song in his heart that God loved to hear, and God chose him to be anointed as the King of Israel.

To be a “nobody” is not a bad thing when God knows you by name and knows exactly where you are. He also knows He can depend on you to listen to His voice, be obedient, and follow His commands when the Gate opens. At that point, He will lead you into new and deeper revelations of Himself so that you can be the witness that He has ordained you to be. Whatever the task, great or small, it is such an honor to be chosen and used of God to minister to others. What God Has Ordained He Will Establish!

Push Back Against The Darkness!

Today, I am reminded of previous generations and the price they were willing to pay to see God moving in tremendous ways among them. They were hungry for the holiness and power of God in their midst! I have heard my father’s generation speak of the old brush arbors where the faithful would gather in these makeshift places of worship created by the limbs of trees and the brush of the forest. They gathered in these crude “shelters” and knelt upon the bare earth or sawdust and sought the favor of the Lord Jesus Christ because they wanted His intervention in their lives.

As a young boy, I remember attending tent revivals in the sweltering heat of a summer night and seeing the saints of God dance before Him in Holy worship and adoration. They didn’t appear to mind that the weather was hot and the sawdust on the floor was dry and dusty. They reached out to the Creator of all things, and He connected with them in such a supernatural move that their lives were changed forever.

I remember the old country church house we attended in that same time period. There was no such thing as air conditioning. The closest we got to that was the raised windows, and if you were blessed, you might find one of the old paper fans that the local Funeral Home passed out as an advertisement for their services. But, none of that seemed to matter because the Church had a higher calling than being comfortable. The saints were set on connecting with God and seeing His intervention in their lives. You prayed wherever, and however you needed in order to make that connection.

What the Church needs and what we must have is a face-to-face confrontation with our Holy God. The Old Testament Prophets and the New Testament Disciples had those encounters. We are no less desperate to have the manifestation of God’s abiding presence than they were! But God requires an investment. That investment is us, all of us, every fiber in our very being. Nothing can be held back because we know that God requires all if we are to have His approval and intervention.

Spiritual darkness has come upon this world like a spiritual tsunami! We must actively and purposefully push back against that darkness. We must bombard heaven in intercessory prayer and push back against the powers of darkness in the power of the Holy Ghost. “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” Let His Beacon of Light shine brightly through your vessel! Push Back Against The Darkness! (continued)

Time To Stop The Busyness! by Myra Boozer

1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

Satan, the prince of this world, has a plan! He is seeking after all those that he can destroy. He is working and controlling every person who will listen to him. But God has given a window to the Child of God, an opportunity to PRAY, a time to sound the alarm before GOD releases judgment on Satan and all those who have obeyed the voice of the evil one. God is giving us time to warn people, a time to pray and seek Him, a time to come close to Him and gain strength for the days ahead.

Don't become so busy with plans and programs that you forget the DAY we are living in. Know that after we pray, we will still be living in the scheme (an orderly combination of things on a definite plan) for the last days. We can't change the times and seasons God has ordained, but we can be filled with strength and hope, knowing that King Jesus will have the final say in this battle.

The days of Judgment are coming, and only those held in Jesus’ hands will be overcomers. Death has no sting for the child of God. Death is not the end but the door to Eternal Life through Jesus Christ. Seek Him while He may be found!

Let him that has ears to hear, HEAR! Why? "Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof; I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated KNOWLEDGE, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil," Proverbs 1: 24-33. Seek the Lord while He can be found!

Pray Like Daniel Prayed!

The prophet Daniel was not so different from you and me. He lived in a time of displacement and captivity for his people. He struggled to remain at peace with his captors and remain true to the Lord God Jehovah. But when he was forced to make a choice, he always chose God.

When Daniel knew that the decree was signed forbidding anyone to pray to any other god except King Darius, Daniel made an open show of his allegiance to God (Daniel 6:10). Daniel prayed as before! His prayer life was the foundation for his existence both present and future. When the enemy tested his love and loyalty to God, Daniel continued doing what he did every day. The die was cast and the pattern established. Therefore, Daniel held to his faith in God and God delivered him.

The substance of our life in Christ must be established before the storm comes. We must know that the foundation of our life is built upon Jesus Christ and all other ground is sinking sand. Therefore, when the trials of life test us, we continue doing what we have always done. We pray and trust God as we always have done, and God will deliver us once again!

Lord Jesus, help us to pray like Daniel prayed. Help us to trust like Daniel trusted. Help us to be delivered like Daniel was delivered. Thank you, Lord, for the power of your promises. Direct our steps to walk in your word and experience the power of your promises. Order our steps that we may walk in your perfect peace. In Jesus' name! Amen

What Are You Trading For Your Life? by Myra Boozer

Matthew 13:44, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”

Just thinking about what is important to me, you know, what really matters? Some things just don't matter! But there are some things that really matter. What matters is not possessing many things of value but possessing the one thing of greatest value, the Kingdom of God!!! It's worth more than all the other things we could ever find!

What are you trading your life for? Day by day, we usually spend our time doing what we want, working to pay bills, saving for a vacation, a new house, a new car, on and on. But what really matters? When I come to the end of my life, I don't want to find that I spent my life in pursuit of "things." I don't want to find that what I traded for my life was "fool's gold," shiny, insubstantial, and ultimately worthless things. But that I sought out the "pearl of great price" like the man in the parable of the treasure hidden in the field.

He knew what mattered! Do you? Whatever you have to give up to get the great treasure, it will be so small compared to the treasure that is waiting on the other side. Seek ye first the kingdom, then these other things will be added. But they will never be as important or take the place of the greatest treasure God has for you in His Kingdom...Matt. 13:44-52.

God Will Make A Way!

1 Corinthians 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

As I contemplate the conditions in our world, I am reminded of how really important it is to believe in a living God who wants to be intimately involved in my life. And He wants to be involved in your life in the same way. Actually, He desires to be involved in every detail of each and every life on the face of the earth.

Presently, people are dealing with very difficult situations and circumstances all over the world. Humanity is in a crisis. We need to know the solution to our dilemma. We need answers to stabilize this volatile environment.

I don’t know how you are feeling right now, but I can imagine the varying levels of fear, confusion, frustration, and helplessness that many are experiencing. Our future doesn’t appear too promising if you only look at the current conditions in our world. But there is a solution to each and every problem that we face. God will make a way! Jesus Christ is the Way Maker for every person, community, and nation that will call to Him for help!

God has brought us to this place to give opportunity for all who will call upon His Name to be saved. This is the dividing line, and all who have a desire to know God will move toward Him. But those who don’t want to have any part with Him will move further into darkness. It’s time to choose! It’s Time To Pray!

Lord, Come And Sit Among Us! by Myra Boozer

Lord, would You please come and sit among us?

We long for more of You and Your Righteousness.

Rain down upon us Your loving kindness,

For we stand today at Your mercy.

We need Your message of Truth and Grace.

Bring to us Your revelation of the New Day Dawning,

The Day of Your soon appearing, when You step out on the clouds to call us Home.

Open our eyes to a greater understanding of what it actually means to be Your People, a Chosen People and a Royal Priesthood.

May we be ready when You descend from heaven with a shout, and with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God calling us to come up to where You are.

Lord, our hearts are open to Your Spirit and we long to be in Your presence. Please come and sit among us, refresh us, revive us, renew us, and restore us to our first love. You are coming for Your Bride, the one You Love and the one who loves YOU...Come And Sit Among Us!

I Have Set Before You An Open Door!

Revelation 3:8, “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”

God has set the stage for His final events. Are we willing to sacrifice our time and energy to bring a Spiritual Awakening and a breaking forth of the Light of God? Are we willing to commit our all to the work of Christ that we can have Restoration in our local churches and in our families?

Satan is angry because the Children of God would dare to rise up against him. He is releasing the powers of darkness in every venue in the public and private arena. But, Satan, the Blood of Jesus is against you! 1 John 4:1, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”

The Body of Christ must rise up in the power and authority of Jesus Christ and proclaim victory in Jesus' Name. Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;” Isaiah 61:1. He gave the same power to the Church in Matthew 28:18, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

We are challenged to receive the power of the Lord Jesus Christ in the person of the Holy Ghost and to GO and bind up the brokenhearted, bring liberty to the captives, open the prisons to them that are bound. “Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it...” Go and go in the power of Jesus' Name! Amen!

Do You Believe In The Power Of Jesus? by Myra Boozer

Mark 9:23, “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

When we believe the Word of God, something happens to us. We are changed! We become a new person with a brand new perception of everything. We see things in a totally different way. For instance, when the Word speaks of life, we know that through Christ we not only have this life here on earth, but we can have Eternal Life with Him in heaven. When we see the word death, we know that nothing can separate us from Him, not even death. He lives in us, and we are alive in Him, even when our physical bodies have given up this life. We are with Him, to live forever in the place He has gone to prepare for us.

When we believe that Jesus was crucified on the cross of Calvary for our sins...that He died and was put in the tomb but on the 3rd day He arose...we know and understand that we too will one day arise from the grave or be caught up together with Him in the clouds to be FOREVER with Him.

When we believe in the Power of Jesus to heal the sick, to raise the dead, to feed 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread, to open the blind eyes, to make the deaf hear, to pay the taxes with a gold coin taken from a fish's mouth, to calm the storms by speaking to the waves, to make the lame man walk again. Wow, when we BELIEVE...when we REALLY believe...We should be able to REST assured that ALL will be well with us...that nothing touches our lives that He is not aware of or that He can't handle.

Because we believe in the POWER of JESUS, we can REST and REJOICE. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever...REJOICE AND AGAIN I SAY REJOICE...

Call Unto The Lord!

Psalm 3:3, “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. 5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.”

We need to be ready to leave where God is not and go to where God is! It is always important to know where we are and where God is. Where are we in relation to where God desires us to be? We need to press in and press through the opposition of the enemy into the good that God has for us and all that we may influence. We must Call Unto The Lord!

Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God has “good” planned for those who will answer His call and follow Him in faith. He has a secured end or divine heritage. We need not question our finish if only we will heed the voice of God. He knows where He is going, and He goes before us and leads the way. John 10:4, “And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.” We must determine if we are going to follow Christ whatever the cost! We must Call Unto The Lord!

Jeremiah 29:12, “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.” Oh, to Call Unto The Lord our God, to seek His face and hear and see His answers! He promises to hear and respond (hearken). Our challenge is to clearly perceive His response. The Spirit of God is pushing back against the darkness that permeates this sinful world. God is calling His warriors to come alongside Him, join in the battle, and share His victory. He is calling us to our knees to intercede for a lost and dying world. Will you Call Unto The Lord?

Jeremiah 29:13, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” God is always available, “...ye shall seek me, and find me...” He is always with us. But we must have a sense of His presence to recognize His voice and to understand what he is doing or planning to do. God's promise is that we will find Him when we search for Him with all our heart.

When Doors Close! by Myra Boozer

When all doors seem to close... and you know that God has spoken and given you a "Word"... a Word from His heart... and you know there are people who need to hear that word...What do you do? Do you just back down and say maybe it was just my imagination? Maybe I was wrong, maybe I didn't hear correctly. NO, a thousand times no! You must be persistent! You must stand your ground against defeat. You must not waver because when God gives a Word, He will make a way for it to go forward for His intended purpose. So, when the doors seem to close in front of you, look for a window and begin to shout loud and clear the message God gave you. It will NOT return void or empty, but it will touch, inspire, or encourage someone. Don't grow weary when doing God's will...for in His Time He will exalt you and show the world those who are His!

No Longer A Slave To Fear!

Luke 24:21, “But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.”

How often do we find ourselves in the position of denial and questioning, “Why are these harsh circumstances developing around us?” We are susceptible to cry out in absolute disbelief, “I can't believe this is happening to me!” This position makes us vulnerable and opens the door for Satan to rush in and steal our faith. In extreme cases, our soul can be seized with such life-altering doubt that our Christian service is totally paralyzed and we cannot proceed further. In that moment, we should run to God and fall upon our faces in prayer! If we seek His face in submission, He will throw off the chains of dejection and depression as we heed the burning desire of the Holy Spirit that lives within us. We are never alone. Heb. 13:5, “...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

We can place our total confidence in the promises the Lord has given us. He will never fail us! What He has promised, He will fulfill, so there is no need to fear!

We Are Not Destroyed! by Myra Boozer

Have you lived at this address recently? ll Corinthians 4:8-9 "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed."

Verse 17- 18, "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory: While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." Amen!

All Christians will suffer something at some point. We live in a fallen world, and sometimes the prince of the world (Satan) will throw you a curveball just when you feel forsaken by a friend or loved one. You know those days when the unexpected comes, like the central unit can't be fixed any longer and you need to get a new one...or when the nail in the tire can't be fixed, and this calls for 2 new tires...when the doctor says your A1c is just not good enough and you need meds. We all have those days of trouble, but take note we are not in despair, not forsaken, not destroyed. These things are light afflictions, and sometimes they can bring something good to our lives... for one thing, they keep us humble if we allow them to. They also help us to see the hand of God and how he makes a way when we think there is no way.

These things we go through are preparing us for the road ahead to help make us stronger in our Faith. As our Faith grows, we learn so much about the all-sufficiency of our Faithful God. We learn that He has a plan, and that if we put our trust in Him, we will see there is no need to be troubled, distressed, or perplexed. When we work with Him, when we commit our ways to His ways, we realize We Are Not Destroyed but blessed. Amen!

It's Getting Late!

Ephesians 5:15, “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 18And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;”

Every day and hour previous to this time has been intricate to the plan of God and instrumental to our success in service to Him. However, many times we have needed to return to God and ask Him for a “do over.” The outcome of our plan didn’t turn out the way it was supposed to, or we failed to follow through with our plan for some reason. Whatever the circumstance, God has given us a second chance to get it right. We usually have had the opportunity to do that.

Now, we have come to the threshold of eternity, and we may not have time to go back and fix things as before. We need to get it right this time! I’m afraid we might not have a second chance. How many people do we pass in a day's time never to see or influence that person again? What will happen to them if no one else steps into their lives to inspire them to follow Jesus Christ? They will hear the Gospel message in some form or fashion, but you just lost the opportunity to make a difference in eternity for that person or persons. We cannot afford to be negligent in being a good steward of this time.

In Ephesians 5, Paul is instructing all who would be accepted of God to follow Him as children of God. Paul goes on to state that believers are to walk as children of light. Previously, we were walking in darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. Therefore, live as children of light to shine in the darkness to direct the way of others. He said, “walk circumspectly,” or carefully, knowing that our lives and our testimony will affect those around us. The response of others will depend on how we have responded to the Gospel and let Christ transform our lives.

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Make the most of the time God has given us, knowing that when that moment has expired it is lost forever to eternity. Evil is ever present to resist the Gospel, but the love of Jesus Christ is much stronger. Darkness is ever present and will increase as we draw closer to the end, but His Light shines even brighter in the darkness. Let Him shine through you! It’s Getting Late!

Are You In A Mess Today? by Myra Boozer

Well, God can turn that mess into a great MESSAGE, a message of deliverance! God does NOT always change your circumstances, but He can change YOU from the inside out. He can deliver you from your old self and make you a new creature in Him, one full of renewed HOPE and LIFE EVERLASTING.

God can change your heart, your thoughts, your desires, and your goals in life. He is a miracle-working God. He is a God of TRANSFORMATION. God can bring you out of the rubble and give you a complete makeover, giving you the freedom you've never known. Real Freedom is the freedom you find in Christ Jesus. He can set your soul "FREE" even behind prison bars. You can be free even in the midst of persecution...Free in the midst of cancer...Free in the midst of poverty...Free in the midst of a bad marriage...Free in the midst of all hell coming against you.

THERE IS TRULY FREEDOM IN CHRIST JESUS. Psalms 91 is our "go-to chapter." Run to these great promises every day. They will bring you great HOPE and COMFORT. Psalms 91:4, "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler." He who redeems you will keep you. Psalms 91:15, "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will DELIVER him and HONOR him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my SALVATION." Allow Jesus Christ to deliver You from your Mess Today!

Will You Hear God's Voice?

Revelation 2:7, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

God wants to prepare us for what is just ahead, but many cannot hear. Why can they not hear? They hear the words, only the words! The Gospel is being preached! The Holy Ghost is warning of end-time events! But they are listening with their ears. In Mark 8:18, Jesus said, they have eyes to see but cannot see; they have ears to hear but cannot hear. Just as that generation who heard the message of Jesus rejected the truth of the Gospel, many will hear this message and reject it. What happened to that generation? They missed their opportunity for salvation and deliverance by their Messiah because their religion closed their spiritual eyes and ears. I fear that there are some today who will miss this great opportunity to see the unrestrained revelation of the rapturing Jesus because their religion has closed their eyes and ears to the Truth. Jesus is coming and soon. Are you ready? Are you ready to receive the Truth? Get ready and stay ready!

Father God, Lord Jesus Christ, I ask YOU to prepare our hearts to receive what YOU have prepared for us in this hour. I ask that YOU remove any obstruction that would prevent us from receiving YOUR Revelation. Take this fresh lump of clay and begin to fashion the vessel of YOUR desire in us anew.”

The Hour Is Late! by Myra Boozer

Acts 2:17, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams."

In the last days, God said He will speak through visions and dreams. We need to be so full of His Spirit that He can speak to us in any way He chooses and we know it is Him. This is where Christians need to be able to discern between good and evil.

Satan can also speak to you, usually through people, different cults, cultures, and through your own fleshly desires. God is warning us through His Word and His people to Pray. He is asking us to submit, surrender, and hear what He has to say to us in this late hour. We must know His voice.

Are people listening? It does not appear that all are! Just like the days of Noah, they went on their merry way. And just like America is doing, fussing and arguing over what is good and what is evil. These things should be settled. I would never have thought that our country would accept and promote the evil it has under the umbrella of tolerance. These things are a great distraction to what God is calling America to do...REPENT!

When will people wake up? Our hope is in the Lord! But people, and many of them Christians, still trust in the arm of flesh (human understanding) to fix our world. Many think if the right political party is in control, all will be well. That is not so, even though there is a great difference between the Right and the Left. It is very clear how far this country has fallen from God.

God wants us to be filled with His Spirit, listening to His voice, and obeying His commands. There will be a rude awakening one day, and I feel it will be sooner than we can imagine. We must turn from the sin that so easily besets us and be covered by the Spirit and Power of His Might. God Alone Is Our Hope! Only as we are tuned into His voice can we hear what He is saying in this late hour. Yes, The Hour Is Late!

Power To Serve God's Purpose! Conclusion

(for part 1, see 7/3/26)

Luke 4:2-13 gives details of the confrontation of Jesus, the Son of Truth, and the Deceiver, Satan. The grueling encounter continued for 40 days, and Satan used all his best tactics, but he had no power over the Son of Truth. All he could do was to walk away from the battlefield in defeat. But Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit! Luke 4:14, “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.”

This classic battle has repeated itself every day since that time. The same scenario has played out in our lives. The Truth has prevailed, and the deceiver is defeated. That is God’s Plan!

After His departure, Jesus sent the Holy Ghost to lead and guide us into the fullness of our relationship with God. The fruit of that relationship will cause us to seek and walk in God’s purpose for our lives. It is expedient that we experience the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. It is equally important that we yield to His leading to recognize God’s purpose in us. It is not enough that our days are filled with “good” works, but our works must have their origin in God’s directive for us.

Power to serve God’s purpose only comes in the power of the Holy Spirit! That is why we must experience regeneration and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Submission and obedience to the Holy Spirit is the only way we have the Power To Serve God’s Purpose!

Holy Father, Cover Me! by Myra Boozer

There is a covering sent down from the Father Above. That covering is the Presence of the Holy Spirit. He will hover over the Righteous and fill every void. He will filter out the world and the stench of sin and corruption. He will dispense the "sweet smell" of Holiness upon the people of God, bringing love, joy, and peace upon the Believer.

He cannot be bought or purchased in any store. Nor can we wrap Him and give Him as a gift. He comes from the Father, the one who sets people free, free from sin and condemnation. He is the all-powerful work of God that Jesus promised to those who seek NOT the "Things" of this world but seek for the HEART of God and all that He has for us.

His presence is priceless, far above rubies or treasures of this world, far above pleasures or longings of the flesh. He is not only a covering but an infilling of God's presence that will captivate you and your desires. What we need is to be covered in His Presence, the Greatest Gift we could ever receive. 2 Cor. 9:15, “Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” Holy Father, Cover Me!

Peace And Freedom In The Holy Spirit!

John 14:16, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

As individuals in the Body of Christ, we need to recognize and embrace the work of the Holy Ghost. He is now, and will be in the time ahead of us, an indispensable confidant. The power of Christ through the Holy Ghost is essential to our success individually and as the Body of Christ. We need to experience Him in the same way that we read about in the book of Acts. The same Holy Ghost empowered the first-century Church to turn the world upside down.

We need to walk in the unabated freedom of the Holy Ghost. Unabated means “continuing at full strength or force without becoming weaker, being at full strength or force.” The power of the Holy Ghost will never diminish. We will require His full authority, presence, and perspective every moment of this journey. We dare not proceed without being fully immersed in His person and baptized in the power of His presence. His guidance is essential! The choices and decisions ahead will be difficult. Not difficult to make but difficult in the sense of their consequences. A step forward without the absolute wisdom and guidance of the Holy Ghost could put us on a path of irreparable error. At the very least, choices made without His full assurance will cause unnecessary sorrow and suffering. The road back is always burdensome.

The storms of darkness will rage against the souls of light. Jesus Christ is fully aware when the storms come. He is with us in the person of the Holy Ghost; therefore, the storms will respond to His voice. He is the Master of ALL! When the storms of life are raging, He will stand by me. At the mere utterance of His command, the winds cease, and there is peace.

Psalm 31:19, “Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!"

I Long To See You, Jesus! by Myra Boozer

I long to see You, Jesus, high and lifted up in Your Glory, in Your wealthy, prominent estate. You are rich in Royalty and flow with Grandeur. You are covered with the precious Anointing of Your Father, as he said, "This is my Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." There is no name above Your Name because You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I long to See You, Jesus!

But first I saw You differently. I saw You as one cast down upon a stone, crushed as an olive. There You gave forth the healing balm to all who believe in You.

I saw You being stricken with great ridicule, and yet You were humble, and You never lashed back.

I saw You being mocked and despised by those who had little or no regard for who You are. But You said not one word.

I saw You cast aside as a foreigner by those who once loved You and called You Lord, yet You still loved them.

I saw You forgotten and forsaken by those of Your own Household. You still called them Your people.

I saw You betrayed, stripped of Your robe and beaten without mercy, hung on an old rugged cross, mocked, ridiculed, and left to die. I felt it was all because of me and my sin. Yet, You could have called ten thousand angels to release You.

Yes, You were held a short season by those who were blinded by their doctrine, traditions, and selfish motives, those whom God allowed.

The same is happening today. Many are blind, and they do not see the evil doctrines and hideous acts they are condoning, pushing You completely out of their lives. Many are cold, heartless, and rebellious. You are still calling out to them in Your Mercy.

You are being crucified afresh, tortured by the heathen, and they see You not. You are the Son of God, but they are blind.

They give You no esteem for being who You are. They cast You down and consider You useless to them. They consider You powerless and weak, crumbling under their rejection. They seem to despise what You represent...Holiness...Truth...and Life Everlasting.

One day in the near future, "at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:10

Lord, I am captured by Your love for mankind. You suffered and died for all who would call on Your Name. You went through much agony for us to be with You one day. I see You Strong and Mighty...full of Righteousness...High and Lifted up...Coming in Splendor to receive unto Yourself Your chosen Ones...Those who call You Lord...Those who are willing to die for You if need be...I Long To See You, Jesus!

Power To Serve God's Purpose!

Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

The first requirement that God expects of us is total and complete surrender to Him. The Apostle defines that here as presenting “your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God...” That is where we start! From there, we must allow the Word of God to have its perfect work in us by the power of the Holy Ghost. Be separate from the world and be changed by regeneration in the Holy Ghost. Why is that necessary? So we may discern what is the acceptable and perfect will of God. This transformation can only be performed by the Holy Ghost.

Immediately following His baptism by John the Baptist, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. Matthew 4:1, “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.” Jesus had just left Jordan, where He saw heaven open and the Spirit of God descended like a dove and lighted upon Him. Luke addresses the same event in Luke 4:1, “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.”

Jesus was full of the Holy Ghost and possessed the power to serve God’s purpose. Then came the beginning of the testing. Ryrie states that Satan’s intention was to make Christ sin to thwart God’s plan for the redemption of man by disqualifying the Savior. But this event was not for the benefit of Satan. The Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness, and God’s purpose was to prove His Son to be sinless and thus a worthy Savior. Ryrie states further that it is clear that Jesus was actually tempted and it is equally clear that He was sinless. (continued)

We Shall Be Like Him! by Myra Boozer

James 3:13-18 talks about wisdom...earthly wisdom and also wisdom from above (from God). He stated that it is pure...peaceable...gentle...easily entreated...reasonable...full of mercy and good fruits...merciful...without partiality...steadfast...without hypocrisy...sincere.

Wisdom's consequences are "the fruit of righteousness." Purity is the first characteristic, and James underscores its priority. Originally it meant freedom from ceremonial defilement, then came to include much more than that. It is used of the purity of God Himself! “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure,” I John 3:2-3.

In the context of the discussion, it implies freedom from anything that would contaminate or soil one's integrity. I found a great illustration for this meaning. There lives, in the forests of northern Europe and Asia, a little animal called the “ermine.” It is known for its snow-white fur, the most beautiful fur in the world. In some countries the state robes of judges are lined with it as emblematic of purity and honor. Ladies of means prize coats for their beauty and warmth. The “ermine,” it seems, takes a peculiar pride in its white coat and goes to great lengths to avoid soiling it. It is said that some fur hunters have taken advantage of this fact to capture the “ermine.” Instead of setting a trap, they find its home, a cleft in the rock or a hollow tree, and daub the entrance with FILTH. Then the dogs start the chase. Sounds like our day!!!

Frightened, the “ermine” flees to its home, its place of refuge. Finding it daubed with uncleanness, rather than soil its pure white coat, it faces the yelping dogs and is captured by the hunters, preserving the purity of its fur at the price of its life.

The “ermine” is right: purity is more precious than life (this life). "...The wisdom that is from above is first pure...,” James 3:17. With all the evil and corruption in our world, I pray that we will be like the little “ermine” and remember that staying pure is more precious and valuable than our own life. Jesus is coming for a Bride that has no spots or blemishes in her wedding gown...pure and white...unspotted by this world's filthy sin…"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure." We Shall Be Like Him!

The Beauty Of Holiness!

Psalm 29:2, “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

God requires that we come before Him in holiness. If we are to enter into His presence, we will do so under the covering of Holiness. The Psalmist said it best: if we are to give God the glory that is due Him, if we are to truly worship Him, we will do so in His holiness. Holiness is an indispensable element of our relationship with God. Hebrews 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

God Is Holy! Man was created in the image of God, and until he sinned, he was the reflection of God. After the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, God pronounced the curse of sin upon all creation. All that God had created would carry the scar of man’s failure.

The sin in mortal man cannot be representative of God. Therefore, the sin must be cast aside and abandoned. That is done in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus provided everything we need to be a true disciple through His cleansing blood. Look to the cross, believe in the cleansing of Christ, be washed in His blood, and He will make you clean and holy. The believer is wholly washed, becoming a child of God and prepared to be the reflection of His Father. Amen!
