Jesus Is A Gentleman! by Myra Boozer

You may not like the touch of everyone you meet but I can assure you the hand reaching down to you from Jesus is one that you want to hold and never let go. He is the only begotten Son of our Heavenly Father. He is reaching for you to become part of this big family. He wants to be your elder brother. He desires to become your closest friend and the one who has your back at all times.

This Jesus is a gentleman! He does not push himself on anyone, but his nail-pierced hand is extended down to where you are. He doesn't demand that you address Him as the Royal person that He is. He just asks for you to reach up to Him and take hold of His loving hand.

This saving Jesus has done more for you than anyone ever has or ever will because of Love, sacrificial Love for you! His heart is broken every time you decline His invitation to accept His deliverance out of your desperation. His love doesn't stop there, He has great plans for your future.

He has gone to prepare a place for you and will return to take you to that place. "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore," Psalms 16:11. Please don't hesitate! There are many in the valley of indecision, a lonely place of doubt and uncertainty. "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision; for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision," Joel 3:14.

Now, while you have time, grab that hand and hold on. Cry out to the one that loves you more than you can ever love Him back. Today, He desires to be Your Savior! Soon He will be Your Judge. Cry out to Him with a willing heart to follow Him. He loves YOU.

Cast All Your Cares Upon Jesus!

2 Tim. 3:1, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.”

Paul goes on in the succeeding verses to delineate the characteristics of these last days. I believe Paul is describing the self-absorbed attitude that exists in the world today.  It is hard to find people who are more concerned about others rather than themselves. Jesus said to love our neighbor as ourselves. People who are totally focused on themselves cannot love others. Consequently, the driving force in their lives is to gain for themselves.

When we are so self-focused, we can miss the greater plan that God has for all His creation. It is difficult for us to understand the needs of those around us. Our role in God's plan is to affect our world for the cause of Christ. If my attention is given fully to the issues of my relationships and the responsibilities of daily care and provision, then there is little room for others. That is why the Lord invites us to cast all our concerns on Him and exercise our faith in His promises for us. Satan will attempt to distract us from our mission but the Lord will sustain us and keep us on course.

1 Peter 5:6, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

“The word for 'careth' in Greek is 'mel'-o' which means 'to care about.' It is a verb which means it is an action word. Jesus understands our needs and cares to the extent that our needs move Him to action.” He stands ready to intervene at the very moment we need Him!

If we will follow the Lord Jesus Christ, He will see to it that our needs are met. We must place our total faith in His promise to do that. Therefore, we are not distracted by the menial tasks of life and can prepare for this spiritual war with our adversary, Satan. Peter says, “Whom resist stedfast in the faith...” We must resist Satan while remaining steadfast in the faith that our provision and sustenance are in Christ’s hands. Jesus invites us to give to Him all our cares, the things that bring anxiety and cause us to be distracted from His plan. He cares for each one of us and will move into action if we will TRUST Him! Cast All Your Cares Upon Jesus!

Do You Know The Love Of Jesus? by Myra Boozer

Do you know the love of Jesus? Has He come into your life and brought peace where confusion and turmoil once lived? Has He come with His whisper of the love that He has for you and your family? Has He given you joy beyond measure, sharing with you the abundance of the heavenly rain that covers all souls that delight in Him? Do you feel His arms of security and confidence in His plan for your life, instead of feeling like a lost ship on the sea of time? Do you awake each morning with the hope that today you will be able to share the good news with the world that so desperately needs it...all because you know JESUS, the author of good news? Do you have a laughter that comes from a deep, deep well of living water that springs forth giving life?

Do you know the love of Jesus? The compassionate one who feels every heartache, and sees every tear that falls from your eyes. Do you know this man who gave His very life so that you would not have to receive punishment for the sin of Adam that is born in each of us? Do you know Him? Do you know that He is coming to take those who love Him to live with Him forever in a place that eyes have not seen and ears have not heard? There is nothing on earth to even compare.

Jesus is the one who picks me up and turns me around. He puts me on solid ground when I feel dizzy from the hustle of this life. He is the one I depend on to give me strength. He is the one who gives me HOPE that no matter what may come, no matter what may happen I can be FAITHFUL to Him and TRUST Him for the outcome. Do You Know The Love Of Jesus?

Take This Whole World But Give Me Jesus!

Isaiah 26:3, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

“In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus.” So goes the lyrics of one of my favorite songs. Jesus is my Beginning and He will be my End. He is my Sustainer and my Provider. Though I pass through this intense darkness, He is my Light and my Salvation. I may not know the next step to take but He is my Guide and gives me perfect peace in the turmoil. He will speak to this storm and declare “PEACE BE STILL.” He restores the strength of my soul and causes me to rise up on wings as an eagle. He causes me to soar high above the conflict in this world, separated from the struggle. He keeps me in the hallow of His hand and Nothing can pluck me from His saving grace.

That is the power of His abiding presence! Power to push back the evil and darkness that has captured the innocence of life and destroyed so many precious souls. The power of His presence in me enables me to declare in the Name of Jesus, “YOU SHALL PROCEED NO FURTHER.” There is power in the Name of Jesus over all that comes against me. As He abides in me and I in Him, He will vanquish every foe and cause me to triumph over every evil plan of the enemy. Oh! Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever! He will keep me in perfect peace as my focus is on Him! That Peace is my total Freedom Forever! Amen! Take this whole world, just Give Me Jesus!

A Show Of Great Splendor! by Myra Boozer

Today as I was in prayer for my family, my country, and my friends I was made aware of something beautiful. I was walking thru the house praying instead of being shut up in the bath room. Since Papa was out on a job and Beckett was with his Mom, I had the house to myself, just me and God. I was almost finished praying when I looked out the front and saw the dead, dead grass, which is sad looking, to say the least. But on that grass was a classical show of great splendor! It touched my heart so much. I counted 2 bright red birds and 3 female red birds. 2 huge blue jays, came swooping down and on one side of the huge maple tree was a wood pecker. And on the other side was a very fast and furious long tail squirrel. That was a total 9 creatures that were desperate to find something on the ground or on the tree.

I thought how beautiful as they were about the business for which God created them. They reminded me of us, the people that God created. We are much like these little creatures, running to and fro as fast and determined as they were. But, I thought are they finding anything to sustain them? Everything looks so hopelessly dead! Are we finding anything to sustain us? We must not give up on God. He, that created us, will provide for us just as he takes care of the little creatures on my front lawn. "When we know God is our Father... all is well! "

 (Update)

I must add something that has been on my mind since last week’s classical show of great splendor. I went back several times that day to the window. I wanted to see the display of life on the front lawn again. I did not see any of the birds or squirrels. It was so barren of life. It was so still, no movement, nothing going on. My heart was sad! Where had they gone? They were no where to be seen.

I actually just went to look one more time this morning, still nothing moving around. All this caused me to think. One Glorious Day, we too will be gone from this earth. We will receive the promise of the return of Jesus. It will happen in the moment and the twinkling of an eye. 1 Thessalonians 4:16, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” And I love verse 18, “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” I send you comfort this morning! We are leaving this world of sin and sorrow! When we know God is the Victor, all is well!

Eternal LIfe Is Your Choice!

God knows where He wants to lead every person in our world today. Every living soul must make the decision to heed the leading of God or to choose the alternative. Many are struggling to define God’s purpose and will for today. All over the world every person has that choice and God’s Spirit is striving with us all. It will not be that way always. Genesis 6:3, “And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man...” God is watching the affairs of men. As in Noah’s day, God looked at the wickedness of man and declared an end to in all.

God is dealing with us all as individuals, urging us to follow His path. For some, God will make His presence known in a very strong and profound manner. For others, it may be less conspicuous. However, God will expose the world to His influence and every person will make the choice to follow or not. Thereby, we choose the course of our lives and the inevitable end of that choice.

Our heavenly Father knows the way that we should take. We must walk chose to Him so He may convey His direction to us. He will direct our steps if we will hear and obey His voice. Our relationship must be such that we will hear and willingly consent to His guidance. He will lead us! He will be all that we need Him to be! He will never leave us or forsake us if we will heed His voice and follow Him! Amen! Eternal Life Is Your Choice!

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Awake, You That Sleep! by Myra Boozer

Ephesians 5:14, “...Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”

America, my heart is grieved for you! You are going down a slippery slope with no ropes to pull you back. You have chosen this path. You have made your bed, now you will lie in it. You have turned away from God and the principles that you were founded upon.

You have allowed your children to become prideful and full of envy. You have allowed your leaders to lead in error. You have allowed your teachers to teach without authority (to teach things unfounded in the Word of God). You have allowed the egotistical (those of self interest) to become your hero's. You have given the stage to the revolting and the lime light to the contemptuous (manifesting, feeling, or expressing deep hatred or disapproval). You have fallen asleep and the innocent are being murdered in front of your face. You are in the miry clay and you cannot get out. You have a voice but it is speaking perverse things.

What shall become of you, America? Until you repent and turn from your wicked way, you will go down in a great fall. Those in you who are godly, righteous people will be removed. At what point, I do not know but the clock is ticking and the midnight hour is almost here. The call today is for those who love God, Truth, and mankind, to Pray as never before. Prayer is our weapon against the evil that is sweeping over this land like a tsunami, destroying every good and decent thing in it's path.

It is vital that we stay in the pavilion (presence) of the Lord Jesus. He is Our Refuge, Our Strong Tower, Our Hiding Place, Our Covering and Protection until He comes to take us away in the Rapture. America, you will all bow one day. Don't let it be too late! Philippians 2:10, "That at the name of Jesus EVERY knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth: 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Awake, You That Sleep!

God Is Speaking To His Church!

It is imperative that believers hear and respond in obedience to the voice of God. Jesus declared in John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” God has not finished the revelation of His TRUTH. There is much that He desires to reveal to the Body of Christ, the Church of Christ. He is still speaking to submissive hearts and open minds.  Therefore, we need desperately to experience His revelation in us and through us.

How does Christ want to implement His will in the Body and through the individual members? His plan in us will always have the greater good of the Body in focus. When we, the Body, actively seek and follow His directions, Christ is exalted, His work in the Body is confirmed and members in the Body are vindicated. May God empower us to be actively engaged in His plan and purpose, NOW, TODAY and EVERYDAY till we see His glorious return.

Jesus promised in John 10:28, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one.” Let us purpose here and now to submit ourselves new and fresh to God's master plan. We must submit, not only for our own salvation and victory but also for the divine will and purpose of God in the earth. May we determine to allow Him to place us in the body where it pleases Him and fits His purpose.

In the Revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave to John, He concluded His exhortation to the churches with these sobering commands, Rev. 3:19, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” The promise is to those that will hear what the Spirit is saying in the Body of Christ! God Is Speaking To His Church!

God Knows The Best Way! by Myra Boozer

A few years ago our two granddaughters were playing so sweetly together. All of a sudden, I heard a cry that shouldn't have been part of their playtime. Then I heard the youngest say to her sister, “You're being rude because you won't let me do what I WANT to do.” This really got my attention. How childish but then again she was only 6 years old.

Even as adults we sometimes feel this way toward God. We may even say, "God, this is just not fair." We think He is not being a good Father when He doesn't give us what we WANT. Well, we are wrong! He knows what is best for His Children and He will do what is best. But, there may come a time when we refuse to do what is right and He will let us go our own way and do what we want to do.

Now, that is a scary place to be and we don't want to stay there very long. When we choose to walk away then we must choose to go back where we left God, repent with tears, and do things His way. He is not going to come and say, "Child I was wrong, do what you want and everything is okay."

God will help us any time. He loves us but we must go His way, not ours. "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" Amos 3:3. Are you asking God to go your way, or are you going His way?

When we walk with the Lord we learn so much about His character. We learn about His loving patience and His unending mercy. But, we also learn about His boundaries and His laws. He is not a pushover and He is not one to allow us to live reckless and ungodly lives. He is strict with His requirements of righteous living. He will discipline us and sometimes correct us with a strong hand. But, walking hand in hand with Jesus will lead us right into Heaven. That is the place we all want to live when this life is over. God Knows The Best Way to get there!

The Lord Of Our Storms!

Acts 27:27, “But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down...29Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day. 30 And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, 31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. 32 Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.” They had to remain in the ship and continue to have faith in the revelation that the Lord had given to Paul. God's plan of deliverance was to include the debris of the broken vessel, the vessel that had sustained them thus far. But, they had to be willing to stay with the ship until she literally broke apart on the rocks. Those broken pieces became their salvation. When our circumstances are falling apart, we must stay true and obedient to God’s command to be saved.

Acts 27:33, “...Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing. 34 Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you...36 Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat. 37 And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls. 38 And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.” The fast was concluded. They could take comfort that all would be saved and they were all (276) of good cheer. They continued in faith and obedience as they threw everything overboard to lighten the ship. They had done what they knew to do! Now was the time to allow the Lord to bring an end to their storm. They took up the anchors and committed to the sea, completely free of all encumbrances, completely sustained by the wind of God.

Acts 27:41, “And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves...43 the centurion...commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: 44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.” God's process will run its course and in the end, His purpose is secured. How many times in our own lives have we survived on the broken pieces of our ship? The storms have been strong and the struggle bitter! But, we have stayed with The Lord Of Our Storms and our end is secure in Him!

Who's Going To Tell Them? by Myra Boozer

Psalm 7:9, “Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. 10 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. 11 GOD JUDGETH THE RIGHTEOUS, AND GOD IS ANGRY WITH THE WICKED EVERY DAY.” (emphasis added)

This may be hard and difficult for some Preachers to Preach. But, someone needs to tell the people if they live wickedly that God is angry. There is so much wickedness going on in our world. God is certainly not happy with them! You can read Psalms 7:12-16 and see what He has in mind for the wicked. Verse 16 states, "His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate." I thought there was an error but the word pate, according to Webster means the head, especially the top of the head. I believe it is time for REPENTANCE unless people want to meet an angry God. Who's Going To Tell Them?

Who's In Charge?

Isaiah 40:21, “Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? 22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: 23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. 24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. 25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.”

We might look at the insanity that has captured the minds and souls of the nations and the peoples of this world and wonder, “Who is in charge?” Some people may look to world leaders to solve our problems and address the issues that plague our societies. Some may trust in the strategy of their political party to persevere in this struggle to overcome adversity and strife. Still others may trust in the power of their religion to get them through these dark times. All of these may provide a measure of limited assurance and stability in these troubling times but they cannot address the heart of the problem.

The solution to our problems goes much deeper than the symptoms of disruption that we see in our daily lives. What we observe are only the symptoms of a much deeper issue. The issue is the human heart has pulled away from its Creator and has chosen a separate path. The solution is to turn back to God in repentance and seek His intervention.

There is always hope for God’s intervention as long as there are people to pray! The devil is NOT running wild and unchecked even though it may appear to us that he is. He can only do what God permits him to do! We can take heart because God is still very much in control! However, God responds to our actions. 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” The question is are we willing to do our part so God can do His part.

Don't Follow The Crowd! by Myra Boozer

When we FOLLOW the LORD, we will NOT FOLLOW the CROWD. We will take a different path, the path of Holy living, Holy speech, Holy thinking, Holy conduct, Holy attitude. God said in His word, be ye Holy as I am Holy. Christ is coming for a holy people, a holy Church without blemish. Ephesians 5:27, "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle or any such thing but that it should be holy and without blemish."

I was taught at an early age that if in doubt about something, don't do it. If it seems to be wrong it probably is! If it doesn't bring Glory and Honor to God, leave it. Now, the crowd doesn't understand that kind of talk. They have delighted in making their rules. Do what feels good to you. Don't concern yourself about what God or anyone else might think.

If you have been following the crowd, you still have time to get out of that trap. But, I will say you can't do it on your own. You must fall upon your knees in repentance and trust God to show you the way. He says in His Word, there is a way that seems right unto man but the end is destruction. That is why we can't trust ourselves. We must have Christ to clean our hearts and our minds in order to know what He requires, in order to have ears to hear His voice.

Our guessing and hoping that we are on the right path isn't good enough. The Lord purchased our salvation and He knows the path that leads home. Unless He leads, guides and directs our ways, we might as well stay with the crowd. This sounds strong but it is time we give strong Godly advice, because "the world" is creating strong delusion (false belief).

GOD HELP US ALL TO STAY ON THE PATH OF RIGHT LIVING....IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE SAVED. John chapter 10 explains to us that Jesus is the good shepherd. He gave his precious life for His sheep. He knows His sheep by name and when He calls them they FOLLOW Him...and another they will NOT FOLLOW.

If the path you're on seems crowded with lots of happy go lucky people...not concerned about the day we're living in...if they are still talking the same ole talk and walking the same ole walk...YOU are definitely FOLLOWING THE CROWD. "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it," Matthew 7:14. Don’t Follow The Crowd!

Sound The Alarm! The Day Of The Lord Is Coming!

Joel 2:1, "Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand."

Everywhere I look I see the hand of God's impending judgment upon our world. Wars, tyranny, civil unrest, spiritual discontent, oppression, death, disease, starvation, helplessness, hopelessness and on we go. Jesus said it would be this way. He told His disciples in Matt. 24 that there would be wars and rumors of more wars. He said there would be famines, pestilence, earthquakes but these things are only the beginning of sorrow. The worst is yet to come.

The call of Joel 2:1 is to awaken the people of Judah to the judgment of God hanging over their head. God sought through Joel to correct their Godless living and return them in repentance to Jehovah. Joel sees the plague of the drought and locusts as judgment for the sins of Judah. He makes a direct correlation between sin and judgment.

We know according to history that Jerusalem was destroyed along with the Temple of Solomon, the land was laid waste and the people carried away to Babylon in 587 BC by King Nebuchadnezzar. Judah suffered in captivity because of their unwillingness to heed the voice of God and return in repentance to Jehovah.

How can people believe that they can live anyway they choose and not reap the consequences of their choices. God created man higher that any other creature and gave us the unique quality of freedom of choice. However, we all must understand that there are consequences attached to each and every choice that we make.

So then, what is the answer to the present human condition? What shall we do in the face of overwhelming judgment. Repentance and restitution is the answer to the world’s fallen state. And like a watchman upon the wall we are mandated to sound the alarm that judgment is coming. People, God's most precious creation, must be made aware that sin has consequences. Romans 6:23 tells us, "For the wages of sin is death..." We will reap what we sow. "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting," Gal. 6:7-8. If we sow righteous deeds we will reap a righteous reward. If we sow sinful deeds we will reap a sinners reward.

Jesus Is Our Hiding Place! by Myra Boozer

What are you looking for today? What are you seeking after? Many are looking for answers to some difficult questions. I think more than ever we want to feel safe and secure in these perilous times. We want to have peace of mind when we go to work or into the market places, when we send the children to school, and when we lie down at night. These are the thoughts that trouble many people.

We can find what we need in Jesus! When we call, He will answer us bringing what we need when we need it. In Matthew 7:7-8 Jesus proclaims, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For EVERY ONE that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

David said in Psalm 27:4, "One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple." David wasn't talking about staying in the temple every day but he was talking about dwelling in God’s presence all his days. In verse 5, he states, "For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall he hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock." David was very confident that God was his pavilion or covering and also his sure foundation. David felt safe in the love of God. We can also but we need to know how to seek Him.

Psalm 27:8, "When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek." So many times we seek His hand, which is his provision. But He told David, “Seek my face,” my person, who I AM. When we truly seek Him, we live in His house, pavilion, tabernacle, His presence. When we dwell there we are set upon the rock, a firm foundation. The very best thing we can seek is the face of the Lord! Oh, to know Him, to really know Him, to cherish him like we cherish nothing else, in a very personal way.

When you love someone you want to share life with them. You don't just visit them on Sunday. They become the center of your everyday life. The Lord doesn't want us out on the porch. He wants us to come into His pavilion and dwell with Him. There we will find the answers to our questions and peace for our minds. Jesus Is Our Hiding Place!

Evil Increased In The Last Days!

The world system has become so jaded that almost nothing is viewed as wrong. Our society has been conditioned over time to accept sin. A spirit of “inclusion” has been embraced by many churches so that nobody feels left out. Everybody must be accepted regardless of their relationship with God or manner of living. Sure, we are to love everybody but the Church of Jesus Christ cannot accept a lifestyle of sin. Sin must be brought before the Lord in repentance!

Gradually the enemy has crept in and performed his despicable work, undermining the very foundation of our existence. From the beginning, our social order was built upon the family unit. God's design for the family has been manipulated to fit every desire and convenience imaginable to mankind. However, God has His Standard which cannot be manipulated to please anyone! The Word of God calls for the sinner to repent of their sin, turn from their sin, and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul wrote to Timothy of the evil in the last days in 2 Tim. 3:1-5. In this text, he is identifying the total depravity of the human state. "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5. Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

As Christ's return draws near, the depraved conditions will increase. "But evil men...shall wax worse..."v.13. Paul describes mass corruption and lawlessness. The warning is that the condition of the world ultimately presses into the Church. "Having a form of godliness but denying the power..."v5. Having the resemblance of Christian service but without the spiritual dynamic of the Holy Spirit. Peter said, "These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest…" 2 Peter 2:17. The barrenness of this false religion mocks the thirsty soul by promising refreshment but cannot deliver. Perhaps Jude states it best in Vs. 12-13, "These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear; clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever."

In Eph. 6:11 Paul instructs the Church to "put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." The emphasis is on the "whole armor of God" in its completeness providing power against "the wiles of the devil." In Romans 13:12-14, he writes "...put you on the Lord Jesus Christ…"

Paul addresses the armor of God as a complete covering. Its completeness corresponds to the divine perfection of Christ's humanity. We are "to grow up unto Him in all things." Eph. 4:15. We are to put on His image in all the harmony of truth, righteousness, peace, and faith. We are to receive the spiritual energy and power of Christ as the "Word." Jesus Christ is the solution to the present human condition! He is the embodiment of our power and authority to defeat the "flesh" which will rule the carnal nature of man in the Last Days.

Oh! Beautiful Day! by Myra Boozer

Psalm 28:7, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth and with my song will I praise him.”

Oh beautiful day, that we have today! Hope your planning to grasp every handful of life given to you. Don't be afraid to step out and enjoy this day one step at a time. With God holding your hand and lifting your head to see His beautiful creation, you may see things that you haven't seen in a while. It may be through pain or tears that you have to look but please look and know He is with you. When you fix your heart on Him, blessings will flow down even faster than your tears.

Oh, how my heart does sing as my eyes behold the beauty of God’s creation and display of His majestic handiwork. The canvas is so enormous with the formation of clouds that only God Himself could put in place. I thing of His return when the light comes spraying out from above and beneath. It almost takes my breath away. I sometimes feel I’m about to move into His realm of beauty and leave this world far behind!

Lord, Keep Us Safe Till The Storm Passes By!

Daniel 6:10, “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.”

The prophet Daniel was not so different from you and me. He lived in a time of displacement and captivity for his people. He struggled to remain at peace with his captors and remain true to the Lord God Jehovah. But, when he was forced to make a choice, he always chose God.

When Daniel knew that the decree was signed forbidding anyone to pray to any other god except King Darius, Daniel made an open show of his allegiance to God (Daniel 6:10). Daniel prayed as before! His prayer life was the foundation for his existence both present and future. When the enemy tested his love and loyalty to God, Daniel continued doing what he did every day. The die was cast and the pattern established. Therefore, Daniel held to his faith in God and God delivered him.

The substance of our life in Christ must be established before the storm comes. We must know that the foundation of our life is built upon Jesus Christ and all other ground is sinking sand. Therefore, when the trials of life test us, we continue doing what we have always done. We pray and trust God and He will deliver us once again!

God reveals Himself and our future in Him during these times of intense trial. It is during those times that we seek guidance and rely so heavily upon Him. He uses our faith and our dependence on Him to lead us into our future with Him! Lord, Keep Us Safe Till The Storm Passes By!”
