Lord Jesus, Be Real In Me! by Myra Boozer

Wash me clean Lord and help me to see my motives in all I say and do. May my thoughts and actions come from you and not from any legalism or idea that I may have gathered along the way. For sometimes our concept of how to get your attention may not be what you want to hear at all. It is not necessarily the one that sings the best or has the best testimony of deliverance, for those things can make us feel good in our own eyes and distract us from what you're really looking for in us.

A man watches us and judges us by what he sees and hears, but You Lord, You judge our motives. Lord, it is not always in our accomplishments that we get your attention but in our weakness, in our deficiencies. It is in that time of facing a defeat that we cry out for your mercy and standing all alone we become very real with YOU. We need you to be very firm with us because our days are running out and we are coming to the DAY when we will stand before you the Righteous Judge and hear you call our Name. Our deeds will be judged righteous or wicked. I want to be clean and acceptable in your eyes, Lord because we cannot hide under a cloak of pretense. It will not matter what we or anyone thinks of us but what you know about us. I want to be real with you Lord...never fake or phony...but genuine and pure...Amen.

Sunday Is Coming!

Luke 24:21, “But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.”

The period of time from the crucifixion of Jesus to His resurrection was a trying time for His disciples. The disciples were dejected and depressed because they had believed that Jesus was the one to “have redeemed” Israel but this “is the third day since these things were done.” Jesus had taught them that He would go to Jerusalem and there He would be killed. But He also taught them that He would be raised on the third day. Jesus had revealed the plan of God to them. However, they were so consumed with the dying part of the revelation that the enemy had stolen the most important part, the resurrection. This was the day of their salvation, redemption, and victory but they could not see it...yet!

These disciples had gone through all the emotions of losing someone near and dear to their heart. The first emotion was denial, the absolute disbelief that this could be happening to them. All the signs appeared to point to Jesus as the Messiah. How could they have been so wrong about Him? They had experienced the intrusion of life-altering doubt, a crippling doubt that would cause them to question all things previously discerned to be settled. How could they ever trust their emotions and discernment after suffering such a debilitating loss? They had dared to love and trust so deeply that their lives would be forever changed by this experience. God's plan was proceeding on schedule just as Jesus had prophesied. But they could not see it! The disciples were looking at the circumstances. How could they understand the revelation that Jesus was the Son of God and miss the prophecy of His death, burial, and resurrection?

The resurrection revelation was soon to come because this was the third day. The season had arrived but the hour had not come. God's plan is always on schedule but as Jesus' disciples found out, we must move into the realm of faith to preserve our convictions until the revelation comes.

The Body of Christ is suffering in a season of extreme trial and tribulation. “...though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:” 1 Peter 1:6. However, the hour of our deliverance is at hand. We must be so drawn to Him that when the circumstances say no to the revelation that His faith will arise in our hearts and preserve us until it is time for the revelation and the fulfillment of the promise.

May God help us to have the spiritual fortitude to walk with Him until the hour of His revelation. 1 Thess. 4:16, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” Sunday Is Coming!

I Search For God! He Finds Me! by Myra Boozer

Lord, please clear the thought of all the things I think I must do today. Surround me with Your thoughts and Your desires. Fill in all the recesses of my heart and set my feet on a right path.

Troubles are all around and the sounds are coming in loud and clear that all is not well. The road of demands is calling for my attention to come to each of them and each seems desperate.

Slow me down to Your pace Lord. You are never in a hurry but always right on time. You are never slack when You make a promise. You always follow through. You have this whole universe in Your hands and nothing is out of Your control. Why can't I be more like You? You are relentless, never letting up. Help me Lord because You are greater than all my rush to unfold today and rearrange this clutter in my mind.

You seek me as I seek You! We will come together in perfect unity when I slow my pace so I can reach You. Thank You for Your unending patience with me. Thank You forever reaching and stretching Your infinite love towards me!

Today will be no ordinary day. Today I will reach for You by my slowing my pace to allow You to touch me. I will consider Your lofty thoughts. They are so much higher than mine. I will consider Your love that is ever reaching to the lost, the sad and the broken. I will consider Your strong arms of mercy and grace as they pull in all who are drifting on the sea of ignorance and defeat. They are searching for peace, hope, and love.

So I must reason with myself on a daily basis and know that I am not alone in my search for You. When I can be still and shut out the world scurrying all around me, I find You and You find me! You find me along with the least of mankind or the highly favored in all the world. You are not off limits to the needy and hungry refugee that is searching for You. Neither would you turn away the rich and famous if they would come to You.

I see ME slowly giving up the struggle and You accepting my humanity. Thank you, Jesus!

The Crucifixion, Death And Burial Of Jesus!

The Crucifixion of Jesus
(Psalm 69:1-36; Mark 15:21-32; Luke 23:26-43; John 19:16-27)
Matt. 27:32, “And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. 33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, 34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. 35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. 36 And sitting down they watched him there; 37 And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS. 38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left. 39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, 40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. 41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, 42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. 43He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. 44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

The Death of Jesus
(Psalm 22:1-31; Mark 15:33-41; Luke 23:44-49; John 19:28-30)
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? 47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. 48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. 49The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. 50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. 54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. 55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: 56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children.

The Burial of Jesus
(Isaiah 53:9-12; Mark 15:42-47; Luke 23:50-56; John 19:38-42)
57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple: 58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. 59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. 61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.” KJV

Grace For Grace! by Myra Boozer

I found a devotion that I did several years ago from John 1:16-17, "And of His fullness have all we received, and grace for grace, For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."

Thank you, God, for sending your Son Jesus. Thank you...things have changed. We no longer struggle to conform to the law. Because of Jesus, we have been covered by Grace and He has written His laws in our hearts that we might not sin against HIM. Lord God, your ways and your truths are so strong and mighty and worth seeking.

My mind and my heart are having a hard time in conceiving your willingness to send your Son to die for us. I am humbled when I think of Jesus' willingness to suffer such humiliation, shame, and torture that resulted in death on the old rugged cross. Not for one, but for all who would kneel at that cross in repentance of their sins.

Every day I can come to your Banquet of Grace. Love, Forgiveness, and Healing are all provided and so much more. When I come humbly before you, I receive all your provisions. It is only through my Faith in You that I eat from the TABLE you have so graciously set before me. Lord, I pray for greater Faith and a stronger desire to push through every distraction that keeps me from your table.

Thank you for this "grace upon grace." It flows down from the Father of Light. It is shining in the darkness but many are not willing or accepting. They are not comprehending it. "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth NOT is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. For this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men LOVED darkness rather than light, because their deeds were EVIL." John 3:18-19 KJV

The Word says in John 3:15, "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life" So glad that "whosoever" included me!

God's Purpose And Your Future!

God’s purpose and our future is always secure in the obedience of the heart! Acts 27:41, “And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves...43 the centurion...commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: 44And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.” God's process will run its course and in the end, His purpose and our future is secure in our obedience. How many times in our own lives have we survived on the broken pieces of our ship? The storms have been strong and the struggle bitter but we have stayed with God and our end is secured!

The sustaining factor in Paul's life was his relationship with Christ and the fact that he walked in revelation and inspiration. Having an intellectual understanding of scripture can be an advantage. Passion and zeal have their place in the Gospel. And even our incomplete understanding of God's plan is a beginning that we can build upon. But the bottom line is that we must walk in the revelation of Jesus Christ if we are to experience His perfect plan for our lives. Just as Paul had his intimate encounter with Jesus, we must do the same! That is what sustained Paul and that is what will secure God’s purpose in us!

Prayer For Today! by Myra Boozer

Father God, send your Light that we may walk in it.
Send your Truth that we may proclaim it from the rooftop.
Send your Power that all may see your Glory.
Send your Love that we may be refreshed, renewed, and redeemed.
Send your Mercy that we may be rescued from the evil one.
Send your Holiness that we may we washed clean.
Send your Deliverance that we may go free.
Send your Freedom that all will rejoice and dance in the streets.
Send your Son that we may be taken away in the twinkling of an eye...to be where He is, forevermore...amen.

"Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." Luke 1:78-79 KJV

Have Faith In God!

Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

We are engaged in a great spiritual war with the unholy forces of darkness. The scope of this conflict is greater than any we have faced before and will become increasingly more intense as we proceed. We must place ourselves in position for optimal results for ourselves and those that we can assist. Jude 1:23, “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”

We control the outcome of our battles by how we respond to them. If we become distressed and overwhelmed, the enemy will use that to defeat us. If we maintain faith and assurance, the Lord will be our rock and fortress. How do we achieve the latter and allow Christ to fight our battles? We must embrace Galatians 6:9 and have faith in God!

It all begins with an honest, faithful relationship with Jesus Christ. Come to the cross and leave everything there including yourself. Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” When you give it all to Him, it becomes His property and all belongs to Him. God will vigorously defend that which belongs to Him. However, we must be strong in faith and submit to the way of God. We cannot become fractured by the circumstance and attempt to take control again. That will only repeat previous failures. Give all to the Lord and leave it there. Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

The discipline of our heavenly Father will save our lives. We must give Him our total selves, the good, the bad, the challenging and the pleasant. “Give them all to Jesus, shattered lives, wasted dreams and broken toys...He will turn your sorrow into joy.” Have Faith In God!

Just Keep On Singing! by Myra Boozer

There is such freedom when we worship in Spirit and in Truth. Yes, FREEDOM...on April 23, 2014, a little boy named Willie Myrick was kidnapped but soon released. Why? Because Willie was a true worshiper. He just kept on singing from his heart, when he was told to "shut up." Could we do the same as Willie?

There is power to break every chain the enemy could ever use against you. Power to bring deliverance and freedom! We need to remember this and follow Willie's example. We need to be strong and determined to worship and praise His Holy Name in the midst of our enemy! God is Greater than any foe that could ever come against us.

Little Willie Myrick sang "Every Praise" by Hezakiah Walker. The news release from Atlanta Georgia stated, " Kidnapper releases 10 years old who won't stop singing Gospel song." He sang for 3 hours. Praise God!

Just keep on singing! The enemy will turn you loose and let you go when your song is from a sincere heart and a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.

"O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation." Psalms 95:1

Lord Jesus, Capture Me!

Psalm 19:14, "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."

Lord Jesus, today I ask you to capture my mind, capture my heart, and capture my soul. Keep me, the total me, safely in your hand. Empty this vessel of all substance except YOU. Fill me full with YOUR SPIRIT. Create anew in me the passion, power, and deliverance of your VISION! Engage my total self to procure the desire of your heart through me. Fill this emptiness with an outflow of living water, creating a worthy vessel overflowing with your love, compassion, and generosity. Help me to feel the hurting of precious lives that surround the place of my habitation. And thereby flow through me to aid and comfort those who are bleeding. They are bleeding-out the wonder of life, because of the mortal wounds of the enemy. Help me to stop the bleeding that is draining them of the very life you give. Anoint me to bring the good tidings of YOUR Gospel to a broken world.

Oh! That your Holy Spirit in me would bind up the broken-hearted. Those whose hearts have been shattered by the deceitful, insidious enemy of their soul. Lord, set at liberty those held captive, held captive by their past. Release them today from their broken dreams and failed plans. Cause them to look to YOU for their total deliverance and life in YOU. In the Name of Jesus set them free! Loose the chains and open the prisons for them that are bound. May the Holy Ghost invade the dominions of Satan with such power that the chains will disintegrate at His mere presence. May the presence of the Almighty God be so powerful that the prison doors be hurled from their hinges and these eternal souls be forever set free.

Lord Jesus Christ, I pray this day for you anointing to fall heavy upon the Body of Christ, that we walk as you walked, talk as you talked and BE as YOU ARE the LIVING BREATH OF LIFE in an otherwise lifeless world. Lord, anoint us with the message of YOUR GOSPEL that all who will hear will accept YOUR LIFE and have that LIFE most ABUNDANT. Praise to our LIVING CHRIST, in JESUS NAME! Amen

An Open Window! by Myra Boozer

Many are talking about the reprieve that we in America have been given...A short window, the interval during which something can be done...No one knows how long this window will be open...It's not a pretty picture because evil raises its ugly head when the Word of God is spoken, through the reading or quoting of the Bible...or sung by an anointed ambassador of Jesus Christ.

When hearts are touched and tears are shed, when wrongs are made right and the paths are made straight the enemy gets MAD...Angry enough to destroy property and set fires, to curse and talk of bombings, to pull innocent people into their arena and plunder this country with filthy talk and posters...Degrading this country by declaring the right to take innocent lives...to adamantly go against the Laws of God and push their agenda to be free to commit murder.

Some are saying time for actions from the Christians. Our actions must come from our Commander-n-Chief. His Word tells us that the Battle is the Lord's! We are only to be ready with our armor in place, ready to Stand and be the Standard that the Lord himself will raise up against this flood of the enemy.

We are to sanctify (set apart unto the Lord) ourselves by submitting ourselves unto God so God can use us in this last day's Harvest of souls. We must be fueled by the fire of the Holy Spirit and armed with the Word of God. Loving the sinner but hating the sin, becoming the Light on the hill for all to see Jesus in us.

We know how this all ends! Good will win! Truth will prevail over evil! Justice will be served BUT those not repentant will be doomed. So, the battle cry is to stand in the power of HIS might and speak HIS Truth. Don't seek revenge because vengeance is mine saith the Lord. Souls are at stake and we must be wise during this hour to proclaim the word of God. According to the book of Acts, we need to give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. As God shut the window in the Ark, He will shut this window and no man will be able to open it. Time to get READY while we have An Open Window!

Where Is Truth And Justice?

Isaiah 59:14, “And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. 15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.”

There are some people who will laud their great accomplishments and progress in this journey to a better world. Then, there are others who view the future with pessimism, bemoaning the lack of positive markers in the process of moving forward. However, we must admit that we, the inhabitants of this earth have witnessed both positive and negative events in our lifetime. We also must conclude that each event, situation or happening has presented us as a civilization the opportunity to right the wrongs, correct the injustice and return to truth.

We live in a fallen world and as such will continue to witness the same climate unless we as a people choose a different path. If we continue with the same choices, making the same mistakes, the result will invariably be the same. As a society, we can't continue on this same path and expect a different outcome.

Therefore, we are required to make the difficult choices. We must choose to love others as we do ourselves. We must choose to do no harm rather than promote our own selfish ambitions and desires. We must choose to embody truth in every thought, word, and action. That principle alone would impact every person that our lives touch. We might not change the whole world but we would change our world. We must choose to treat every relationship justly and impartially. What if we actually treated others like we want to be treated?

We should be challenged as we reflect on our past. Did we do our best to enlighten the world around us with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? The whole of creation is crying out for a change. Are you pleased with the outcomes you have observed or does God's Spirit within urge you to make a greater difference in the time ahead? The challenge before us is, “will we make a difference?” Are we willing to invest ourselves to address the woes of our community, our city, our nation, and our world? Where Is Truth And Justice? (continued)

All For The Glory Of God! by Myra Boozer

On this day one year ago I had an awesome experience.

Just as the worship music swelled and the sun spread its crystal clear light through the trees, I raised my hands in glorious worship and the LORD TOUCHED ME. Thank you Jesus! He really touched me!! I proclaim, He touched me! Thank you Jesus!

I had told the Lord during the early morning hours, "I have gone my limit, I can't deal with this pain!" I must have you Jesus because I don't know what to do! This was on a Thursday morning. I was instantly touched! The pain left and I slept like a baby Thursday night with no pain! But, Saturday 3 am I began to get restless and not sleeping, couldn't get comfortable. The pain started to give me misery every way I turned, so I was up fairly early and I put my worship music on and this is what I saw again. With my hands lifted high, I began to praise God and declare my healing, as I watched the Sun break forth into my room and most importantly into my heart. This gave me so much hope...that I never walk alone...that He is always near and He listens when I call.

Sometime Saturday night before I was awakened at 3 am, I had a short dream...and I believe it applies to my healing. I will say before I start...I HATE SNAKES...just so you know. In this dream, I had a small baby snake in my hands. It was very cold and I wanted to warm it up (what???). So, I placed it on my chest next to my skin...and tried to warm it. The next thing I remember, it clamped down on my left fore finger and would not let go. I was not in pain or afraid, but I saw the snake in a different light and I wanted it OFF my finger. It took awhile but it finally came off. That is all I remember. This is the meaning received. Sometimes pain wants to come back and reside in our body...it comes as small pain...not like it was before (vicious) but you know, it is the same pain...you began to reason with it and think, oh I can take a Tylenol with thoughts of, "I may continue to have a little pain," and before you know it... that pain has latched back on with vengeance...not willing to let go. I must see the enemy as the enemy and recognize him for who he is. “Never give up and never give in to your enemy,” is a great rule!

I got up with a determination to seek the Lord at my window again and raise my hands in worship to the ONE who Heals. I have made it good all day. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me," Philippians 4:13 KJV.

I have continued to open my blinds and raise my hands to give God the glory. I praise Him in my battle with pain. I am not willing to give up! I press on and I will continue to claim my healing in the LIGHT of His pure redemption! Thanks be unto God who gives us the VICTORY!!! Today I have Victory in Jesus, because I trust Him to help me every day that I live. No I haven't been pain free all the time but neither have I given up. I will continue to call on the Lord and keep trusting in Him! I am determined to not lean on my own understanding, because when I do, I am helpless. I live in the power of His might and continue to spread His good news because He strengthens me! All for the Glory of God!

Rediscover Your Identity In Jesus Christ! Don't Back Away From The Mountain!

Exodus 19:17, “And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. 18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.”

We don't need to back away from the mountain of God in fear of His presence! Jesus has become our mediator and God wants us to walk with Him in our daily lives. He wants us to share His presence in our daily walk through the person of His Holy Spirit.

The Israelites recoiled in fear at the manifest presence of God on Mt. Sinai. They had witnessed the power of God! But without faith to trust God, His presence created fear. They had seen with their own eyes what He could do. So, God placed a boundary at the foot of the mountain and they were instructed not to approach the mountain. The Israelites had to communicate with God through a mediator. God gave His instructions to the Israelites through Moses. What made Moses different from the rest? He trusted God! He was willing to leave the things that he didn't understand in the hands of God.

We have no need to be fearful and afraid. Jesus became our mediator with God when we accepted His sacrifice at Calvary. Because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we have the boldness to draw near to God and through our mediator, Jesus. We bring our petitions to Him! He invites us to come boldly before the throne of grace and make our petitions known to Him. This is a very important attribute of our relationship with God and it is becoming increasingly more crucial with the passing of every day. The revelation and leading of the Lord is absolutely indispensable today and in the days to come.

Go back to the beginning. The beginning is the revelation, the vision, the dream, the communication of heaven. John 1:1-18 is the revelation of Jesus as the unmistakable Son of God. God would have every generation experience Divine relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ. One attribute of that relationship is revelation and guidance. He will remove all barriers and obstacles for all who will repent and believe.

What is the foundation of your revelation, vision, dream or Word from the Lord? Your future depends upon your revelation. Is your life built upon Jesus Christ and His Word? Matt. 7:24, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”

We look at the condition of our world and know that we are living in perilous times. But it is going to get worse. We don't know exactly when the Church is going to be raptured, but we do know that conditions are going to get progressively worse. The foundation of our revelation must be Jesus Christ!

Your Unfailing Love! by Myra Boozer

Jesus, help us to know you better and know your unfailing love. I ask that you show us what real love is all about. We are a needy people with a misunderstanding many times of how much YOU love us. Teach us about your agape love which covers all people. You love the high, the low, the rich, the poor. Your LOVE is like a river that flows freely for one and all. You see us all the same, a people in need of a Savior.

Lord, you've created each of us with a plan, a purpose for our life and not to live an isolated life with no one with whom to share this love you have GIVEN. Lord, your love is not about caring then forgetting. It is pure, holy, full of mercy and EVERLASTING.

When we come under your umbrella of authority, we come into your Kingdom and accept your Lordship. When we cast off the earthly, carnal thinking and resign all our cares to you, You become the force within us to actually love as you love. You open our eyes to see the hurt and confusion in the hearts of mankind.

All souls are mine,” is what you said in your Word. We are to care for one and all, not just the tender and gentle but also the cold and harsh. They need to know you and you want us to love them as you love them. Help us to break down the walls of separation, walls that create solitude and loneliness, the place where lies grow and deception controls, a place of absolute misery and spiritual death without your REDEMPTION.

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us we ought also to love one another." 1 John 4:10-11

Lord, I want to sink deep into the truth you have for me today. Nothing should be as important as what you are saying to my heart. Cause me to desire to be filled with your love and mercy. May my actions show those around me your character. Lord, touch my heart with your compassion, touch my eyes to see their needs, my ears to hear their cries, my hands to offer a healing touch and my lips to speak your words of LIFE.

Prepare our hearts dear Lord, for out of them will flow the most BEAUTIFUL LOVE that we can imagine, love that will cause us to pray for one another. We are FAMILY,, because you are our Father.

Arise, O Lord God Into Your Resting Place!

2 Chronicles 7:1, “Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.”

We pray for and sincerely desire that the glory of God rest upon His House. You are His house. Ephesians 2:22, “In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” Solomon had prepared the House for God's habitation and invited God to live there. 2 Chronicles 6:41, “Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting place,..” He spared no expense. The people gave freely and abundantly. The edifice that was created was a tribute to the glory of God and the love of His people.

Let us prepare this house for the manifest presence of God. Allow the blood of Jesus to wash it clean and make it holy and acceptable to God. Romans 12:1, “...that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Invite Christ to live in this house and display His character through you. Give up and submit complete control to the influence of the Holy Spirit. Follow Him as He leads and directs. The result is a life lived to the glory of God and manifested love for Him.

God's promise to Solomon was, “...I have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.” 2 Chronicles 7:12 says, If it doesn't rain...if the locusts devour your crops or pestilence comes...if you will pray, humble yourselves and turn from YOUR way (rebellion), then I will hear you from heaven and will forgive and heal because I see you and hear your prayers. Regardless of what you may face tomorrow, God will walk you through it if you trust Him. Psalm 121:8, “The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” God watches over everything you do all the time, in every circumstance, and forever. You are “covered” by the abiding presence of the Lord. Arise, O Lord God Into Thy Resting Place!

Redeemed By The Blood Of Jesus! by Myra Boozer

The days are evil and the storms of life are raging...The enemy has come in like a flood as it rips through our land trying to wash away every grain of truth and justice that has prevailed in our Country since the beginning of her existence...Turmoil has found a landing on the steps of every home and the heart of every man, woman, and child...The winds of this world whisper, you are alone and no one is interested in your sorrow...just forget about finding refuge in the soul of another human being...Trust only in your might and none other...for no one cares or is able to lift you above the muddy waters of this terrible swift and raging current.

But wait, I hear the chirping of the sparrow and see the Eagle on the highest bough...and listen to the breeze as it sings the sweetest song...Redeemed, You are redeemed...you have been purchased, bought with a price...counted worthy to be forgiven and you are FREE...This is no time to be discouraged...God is allowing us to build a strong faith in HIM and not our circumstances. No mortal relationship can save us! We are redeemed by the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ!

Rediscover Your Identity In Jesus Christ!

A while back I was impressed with the phrase, “Go back to the beginning,” along with the text in John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Since that time, it seems that everywhere I look, God is saying, “return to the beginning.” It reminds me of a scriptural principle, “repent and return.” We find numerous passages in the Bible where God instructed His people to repent and return to Him. But, how can that be relevant to the Body of Christ? Because our attention can be easily diverted from the vision we have of God's work and our mission. We are easily distracted from God's business so we need Him to remind us often of where we are and what we need to be doing.

Go back to the beginning, to the beginning of what? Go back to the inception of the vision. Go back to where you started. Examine anew your decision to follow Christ, your mission and purpose. What was your perception of your relationship then and where are you now? What has changed? What about the vision needs your attention? In the beginning, it was all about Jesus, the truth of God's Word and our mission. We must allow the Holy Spirit to open the windows of our soul to the revelation of His perfect truth and how that will be implemented through our lives.

John 1:14, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” Jesus is the focus here. The Word was made flesh and lived among mortal flesh. The Greek term for “word” is “logos.” Revelation is the idea contained in the perception of “logos.” The Word is the revelation of the Triune God. Triune being three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 1 John 1:1, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” Therefore we can conclude that the essence of Christ is fully accessible by mortal flesh through the medium of the Holy Spirit.

What does that mean to us? It is important for us to understand that God, in all his awesomeness, is fully approachable through Jesus Christ. Ryrie says that the logos concept, “here is applied to Jesus who is all that God is and an expression of him. The Word is said to be with God (IE., in communion with and yet distinct from God) and to be God (IE., identical in essence with God) Jn. 1:1.” Sounds awesome, right? That believers have full access to such a magnanimous person. But, we do in Jesus Christ! God wants us to know Him. He wants us to walk in daily communion with Him. (continued)

Who Will Be Ready? by Myra Boozer

Hebrews 9:28, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

" What kind of people must we be to be ready for the return of the Lord and to enter the kingdom of heaven with him?" There are many answers to be given. The one that stays with me so much is...We must be watching and waiting for Him (carrying out His commission). He is coming for those who are looking for Him!

We must be set apart from this world and its hold on us. We must be in a loving relationship with Him so as to want to be with Him. Not just use him as an escape route to "get out of " what is coming upon this world in the form of judgment because of sin and wickedness. Luke tells us, "Watch out! Don't let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don't let that day catch you unaware, like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. Keep alert at all time. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man," Luke 21:34-36 (NLT).

We must have ears to hear and recognize His voice when He gives us direction...also to hear the trumpet sound...not everyone will hear that sound. We must be ready to go with Him. The Word says to be alert, not dulled by careless living.

Do we love the Bridegroom? Are we laying aside every weight that would hinder us from being ready? Are we watching for His coming? The Truth about the Rapture gives us great incentive to deny worldliness and live holy and righteously today because He could come today.

I wrote this a couple of years ago...more true today than then. Don't let anything sedate you. Stay watchful! This world can pull you in by its luring bait which looks all pretty and innocent but it is a trap and not easy to escape once you have bought into it. Jesus said "And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things, entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful," Mark 4:19. 1 John 2:15 tells us to “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Where Is Your Hope?

Job 14:7, “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. 8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; 9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.”

There is always hope! We can observe destructive elements at work in our world. The forces of darkness are unleashed upon the wicked and innocent alike. However, the children of righteousness will rise above the wickedness and allow the light of Jesus Christ to dispel the darkness. There is hope as long as that hope is in the power of the blood of Christ.

Job, in his distress, declares that the tree is better off than a man. It may appear that the tree has been destroyed, cut at the base and fallen down. But the promise is that it will bring forth it’s tender branches again though the stock of the tree dies in the ground and the root grow old in the earth. Though there is only the scent of water it will bud and grow new branches.

The future of the tree is in the hands of the Creator. The tree will produce its fruit in the will of the Creator. Job came to the understanding that his future was in the hands of God. He submitted his will to the will of the Creator, therefore he was able to proclaim in Job 19:23, “Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! 24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! 25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:”

Our future is in the hands of God! He is fully aware of where we are and what our needs are. When we come to that understanding and submit our will to His will, He will take us to where He is going. He will renew our hope in Him! 1 Peter 1:13, “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;” Jesus is coming soon! Be Ready!

Father God, Lord God Almighty, Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Almighty Creator Jehovah, I come in the name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus. I thank You for the light of Your understanding. Thank You for Providential guidance and revelation. Thank You for the Peace that surpasses all human understanding, peace that is the experience of a right relationship with You. It is there that we take shelter from the raging storm of this world!

I Can Only Imagine! by Myra Boozer

Oh, how my heart does sing when I hear Your people worship in song. Lord, it is a glorious feeling to be brought into Your presence. Your love captures us and we are taken away by Your spirit. Taken into the heavenly realms of rejoicing and praising Your Holy Name.

One day we will stand in Your presence and bow at your feet. We will be free from all of the thoughts that try to rush in and steal our admiration of YOU!

We will be without any restraints. We will have no hindrances. We will have no reservations. It will be a time of jubilation, a time of exaltation! What Joy will flood our mind, our body and our soul.

This mortal body cannot imagine what Glory we shall experience when we see You face to face. "Will we dance before you Jesus or in awe of you be still?"

It will be an event, the like, we have never experienced. So, we can only imagine what it will be like to stand before You in Your Glory.

I will continue to think on this day and prepare my heart to be still and just rest in the mystery of what Eternity will bring.

"Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD in the light of thy countenance. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted. For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our King," Psalm 89:15-18.

Whatsoever You Will Ask!

John 14:12, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

To abide in Jesus is to carry His name. To carry His name is to carry His presence. The Bible says, “how can two walk together except they agree.” If we truly walk with Christ, we will embrace His Truth. Then, we can agree together with Him concerning His will. Matt. 18:19, “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”

There is power in the name of Jesus! There is power to break every chain. Power to live for Christ and walk in unbridled victory. Free to flow in the Spirit and experience His presence from glory to glory. He leads us up, higher and higher into His Majesty. Having been exposed to His glorious Light we will never be the same. We are changed in His presence. We can never be the same once His glory has shown upon us. We are changed forever and He has planted such a desire to reach higher. His presence is so addictive that no sooner than you walk away, you have an unquenchable need to return. And we can return again and again. There is no limit as to the glory we can experience in His presence. Simply come to Him in obedience and submission and He will carry you to heights previously unknown. He will reveal to you truths you haven't understood and emotions you've never experienced. But most of all He will reveal Himself to you and in you so that the world around you can see Him and be touched by Him, “that the father may be glorified in the Son.” Whatsoever You Will Ask!

Come Up Higher! by Myra Boozer

Push back the darkness Lord, that comes against everyone. Lord, please help our children to delight in your Light and your never-ending Love. Set their feet on a clear path and give their minds a deep understanding of who you are, their creator and the Father of all mankind! You love like no other. You are their constant friend who will stand by them when the whole world is sound asleep. You are never far but always near. You come, and call them to come up higher, high above the sad and the gloom that tries to hide your love from them.

You call us all to open our eyes and see all your beauty. You call us to know you by name, and recognize your loving voice. You call us to hold your hand and know that you are our Protector. You pick us up and carry us when we can no longer walk on our own. You are the one who rescues us when the winds of evil blow across our path. You wipe our tears and wash our face. You reassure us of who we are, and who YOU are, Our Loving Father. You will never leave us and never forsake us as You invite us to Come Up Higher!

Lost Souls, Lost For Eternity!

I hear and fully embrace the call in the Church to reach the lost with the Gospel. As I spend time in prayer and meditation, this responsibility weighs heavy upon my heart. Time is short and what we are going to do for God, we must do it quickly. We have spent time in prayer seeking God for His instructions for this hour. I hear the Holy Spirit saying, “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest,”John 4:35. I hear Him say, “don’t postpone the harvest, the harvest is ready.”

I am hearing the message of Jesus’ soon coming more each day and I believe that is the inspiration of God allowing us to know that time is short. That being the case, we cannot delay in fulfilling Christ’s commission to His Church to preach the Gospel and make disciples for Jesus. We cannot afford to delay or be negligent in our Divine task. There is too much at stake. The salvation of those we love and influence is at risk. Who will reach them if we are not obedient to His calling? How can we escape if we neglect this great salvation? The time to win them is while God is calling us! If He is instructing us to take the message, He is preparing hearts to receive the message!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer to the needs of all people. In the book of Luke, the angels' announcement of the birth of Christ was the proclamation of Good News for all mankind. Luke 2:10, “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” All men must hear the message of redemption and freedom in Jesus Christ.

Jesus left the Divine opportunity of sharing the “Good News” to the Church. Matt. 28:18, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” The Body of Christ is commissioned to carry the “Good News” into all the world. In v18 Jesus states that He has all power. Why is that important? In the very next verse, Jesus outlines the task of those that remain to carry the Gospel to all nations, “Go ye therefore...” doing what He had done, saving the lost, healing the sick, teaching to observe all the things that Jesus had taught. And because He had all power, He anointed with power to accomplish the commission given. He validated this fact by, “I am with you always.” The Christ with all power promised to always be with His disciples in every generation to secure the completion of His commission.

Our “Mission” is ordained by God and empowered by God. Christ commissioned the Church but as His disciples, we must embrace His command and accept individual responsibility to tell the “Good News.” The Church will fulfill Her role and complete Her Mission. As individuals, we have a choice. We will either embrace His call or settle for something less than complete surrender. Without total abandon for Christ, we cannot finish our assignment successfully. We cannot afford to fail in this endeavor. Matt. 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Lost Souls, Lost For Eternity!

A Prayer For Kenya! by Myra Boozer

Praise the Lord! God is moving in Kenya!
"But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:12-13 KJV

Thank you, Father, for you have given us the right to be your children, heir's of your Kingdom. You have made us rich in power and authority over any evil force that comes against us, all because of your "Name." It's because of who you are, and the fact that we belong to you, we are Your children!

Lord, I pray for maturity, a place of responsibility to handle that authority wisely and effectively. Lord, I pray for anointing and favor from YOUR throne room to cover your people. I pray for a willing heart and mind to do the work you have set before them to do. Empower them to occupy a place of readiness with your wisdom to perform the tasks that you desire for all that call upon Your Name. You have left us with the mission to do your work of spreading the Gospel Message to all who will listen.

Your word tells us "greater things than these shall ye do." Lord may we carry out the mission as you desire and be ready when you appear in the clouds on that Resurrection morning to take us home. God, continue to Bless Kenya with your Spirit of Unity and Love for each other as they bind together in their mission to finish Your work. Amen!

Preach The Word! Declare The Gospel!

2 Timothy 4:1, “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”

The commission of Christ is one that we must accept individually and collectively as the Church. So today, we have either embraced His call or settled for something less than complete surrender. Without total abandon for Christ, we introduce the arm of the flesh into a spiritual body. The result is the creation of a humanistic social order rather than the Body of Jesus Christ. Jesus will reach the world through a Spirit-filled, Spirit inspired and Spirit-empowered Church. Our success will be determined by how well we have followed His instructions. It is for this reason that I offer this prayer for all engaged in the Harvest of souls.

Lord Jesus, You have given me such an enormous responsibility, that which I accept willingly. However, I realize how much I am dependent on You. I feel the helplessness of this frail human soul. I ask You in all humility to cause me to rise to the task. I need Your intervention in every effort with every step I take. Open my heart to Your Holy Spirit! Help me to hear Your voice. Help me to be ever aware of where I am and where You want me to be. I need Your abiding presence every step of this journey. I can't go without Your direction, approval, and support. I don't want to be sounding brass and tinkling cymbal. I want to speak Your WORD. Your WORD will go forth with power and authority. Your WORD will convict hearts and change lives. Your WORD will prepare our hearts for eternity.

Father, I pray for the Church, the Body of Christ, all of us. Help us to hear what You are saying to the Church. Create within us a renewed desire to walk in intimacy with You. Bring us so close that the wind of Your Spirit cannot pass between us except we are aware of what You are doing in the Body. Father, we must have Your direction and instruction.

Push back the darkness that clouds our minds and thoughts, and prevents us from walking fully in Your light. Burn away the fog of deception with the fire of Your Holy Spirit in our presence. Lead us forward into Your Divine plan for each of us and collectively as the Body of Christ. Shine Your Light upon our path that we can see clearly the way You have chosen for us.

Help us each one to find our place and serve with renewed passion. Create that passion in us as we submit to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Empower us to share Your message in the anointing of Your Spirit. Break the chains that prevent us from seeing total victory. Create within us an insatiable hunger for renewal and spiritual awakening.

Father God, send Your Holy Ghost fire among us. Baptize us afresh in Your Pentecostal power. Father breathe upon us once again. Breathe Your life into this breathless mortal body. Quicken us with Your Life-giving Spirit. Cause cloven tongues of fire to rest upon us yet once more. Stir the burning embers of our past experiences that they may break into a full blaze of present revival fire. Send Your fire Lord and prepare us to receive Him when He comes! I ask in the Name of Jesus! Amen.”

My Safe Place! by Myra Boozer

Life is so full of troubles, trials, and disappointments and many days our hearts can be broken because of all that is going on in our world. Neglected children, the forgotten elderly, the sick and dying and the lonely with no one to share the day. It is a beautiful thing to know that God has a place that provides protection and shelter, a place one can turn to for help, relief, and escape. The Lord tells us He is with us at all times. But we must leave our little world of survival and focus our hearts and minds towards Him who is our refuge.

When we give all our TRUST to Him alone, then it happens. He comes and sits with us and talks with us wrapping His big arms of love around us. It is then we realize we are not alone or overtaken by any burden that He cannot handle.

When we allow the Holy Spirit to renew our mind we are actually surrendering to what is going on and receiving our life vest for survival during our storm. Spiritually, we are taken into that safe place of His protection, His pavilion and none of the things of this world can defeat us. Not that we are not there already, but when our hearts don't stay FIXED on Him, we do not REST in His PRESENCE.

We must stay awake and aware that the world will pull us in, leaving us vulnerable to Satan and his lies of defeat. BUT Jesus says come unto me ALL of you that are troubled or overtaken and I will give you REST. He is our safe place in a world of calamity. He is our shelter in the time of the storm. He is the one who lifts us up above the shadows and puts our feet on solid ground.

To really know Him is to TRUST Him...To Trust Him, means that your soul will be at REST... When all around us is crumbling down...Our heart is fixed on the Lord and we are safe and secure in Him...

No Longer A Slave To Fear And Unbelief!

Luke 24:21, “But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, today is the third day since these things were done.”

The disciples were dejected and depressed because they had believed that Jesus was the one to “have redeemed” Israel but this “is the third day since these things were done.” I think it is noteworthy that this conversation took place on the third day. Jesus had taught them that He would go to Jerusalem and there He would be killed. But, He also taught them that He would be raised on the third day. Jesus had revealed the plan of God to them. However, they were so consumed with the dying part of the revelation that the enemy had stolen the most important part, the resurrection. This was the day of their salvation, redemption, and victory but they just could not see it...yet!

It just wasn't time for their resurrection revelation.

How often do we find ourselves in the position of denial and to question, “why are these harsh circumstances developing around us or afflicting someone close to us?” We are susceptible to cry out in absolute disbelief, “I can't believe this is happening to me!” This position opens the door for the enemy to rush in and steal our faith. In extreme cases, just like the disciples, our soul can be seized with such life-altering doubt our Christian service is totally paralyzed and we cannot proceed further. At that moment, we should go to God in intimate communion through prayer and His Word. God will throw off the chains of dejection and depression as we heed the burning desire of the Holy Spirit that lives within us. We are never alone. Heb. 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” We can place our total confidence in the promises the Lord has given us. The fulfilling of our resurrection revelation will come but according to God's timing.

God help us to pray until we can say, “I am a child of God! I am no longer a slave to fear and unbelief.”

When I Don't Know What To Do! by Myra Boozer

Lord, when the world is overwhelming and I don't know what to do,
I struggle with my feelings and try to trust in You.
When the trials come down like rain and I think I'm about to sink,
I call for you to save me and stop all my defeat.
When my feet get weary from running and my eyes are full of fear,
I turn to you and just in time I know that you are near.
When my lips began to quiver and my heart begins to faint,
I stand upon the Solid Rock and call upon Your Name.
You Come!...for you are not afraid of what I 'm feeling and you calm my stormy sea.
I draw a breath of sweet relief and put my trust in Thee...
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever,” Psalm 73:26.

I Need You Lord!

My Lord Jesus Christ show forth Your Mercy! When I survey my world, I am troubled and distracted by the events and conditions surrounding me! I need You to help me to focus on Your will for today. I need You to guide my thoughts, my prayers, my speech and my steps. It is only through You that I can press through the darkness which surrounds me, a darkness and evil so intrusive and pervasive that its goal is to take away Your very Life in me.

I struggle within this fleshly house, and I know that it is Your strength that will prevail. Rise up, O Holy Spirit, and exert Your ownership in me. Push back the darkness and evil that takes my very breath away. Breathe on me the eternal, sovereign, deliverance that only You can bring. Trouble may endure for a night but Your Joy will come in the morning. The darkness will be forced to retreat and dissipate as the Son of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings. Healing for the soul, mind, and body.

Oh God! Take me there, where no sadness or sorrow can exist. Lift me up above the shadows of this world and set my feet upon the mountain top, high above the battle for my eternal soul. Release me from the chains of this mortal existence and cause me to walk in the everlasting life of Your Eternal Promise. I long to walk by the still waters and rest in Your Divine Presence.

Oh, how I desire to escape from this intruder sent to buffet me. He has come upon me suddenly and abruptly. He is not welcome here and I will resist with every ounce of strength until You come. And You will come to release me from the bonds of this flesh.

Bring the rain of Your sweet Deliverance upon my thirsty soul. Fill my mind, my heart and my soul with Your Word of Promise. Cause the aroma of Your Presence to envelope me. Push back the evil and darkness. Direct me to walk in the light of Your Path and surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life!

Faithful Watchman! by Myra Boozer

It seems the weathermen are kinda like the prophets of old and of today...warning us...telling us what is taking place and what is about to happen...telling us when conditions are favorable for "Disaster." When the people heed their voice they are usually safe. If not, they may suffer days of hardship even death.

The prophet only knows in part and prophesy in part. You see, God is the Sovereign One. He is above all others for He is God of heaven and earth. I do know that He makes decisions that are sometimes based on what the people do. If the people pray He listens. If the people repent, He forgives. If the people seek restoration, He restores. When the people humble themselves, He heals their land. If they don't, the only alternative is spiritual death.

I think the hardest job ever is to be a watchman on the wall, to be the one that has to share the bad news, "trouble is coming! Wake up and get Ready, Jesus is Coming. Judgment is at the door." The watchman knows he must do his job and declare what he sees coming. He also knows it is ALL in the hands of our Sovereign God as to when these things take place and where.

Habakkuk 2:1-3, "I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

Don't be afraid to stand your watch and share what God has shared with you from His Word. But be warned, 2 Peter 3:3-4, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."

Don't grow weary in well-doing. "Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee," I Timothy 4:16.
