God Knows The Best Way! by Myra Boozer

A few years ago our two granddaughters were playing so sweetly together. All of a sudden, I heard a cry that shouldn't have been part of their playtime. Then I heard the youngest say to her sister, “You're being rude because you won't let me do what I WANT to do.” This really got my attention. How childish but then again she was only 6 years old.

Even as adults we sometimes feel this way toward God. We may even say, "God, this is just not fair." We think He is not being a good Father when He doesn't give us what we WANT. Well, we are wrong! He knows what is best for His Children and He will do what is best. But, there may come a time when we refuse to do what is right and He will let us go our own way and do what we want to do.

Now, that is a scary place to be and we don't want to stay there very long. When we choose to walk away then we must choose to go back where we left God, repent with tears, and do things His way. He is not going to come and say, "Child I was wrong, do what you want and everything is okay."

God will help us any time. He loves us but we must go His way, not ours. "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" Amos 3:3. Are you asking God to go your way, or are you going His way?

When we walk with the Lord we learn so much about His character. We learn about His loving patience and His unending mercy. But, we also learn about His boundaries and His laws. He is not a pushover and He is not one to allow us to live reckless and ungodly lives. He is strict with His requirements of righteous living. He will discipline us and sometimes correct us with a strong hand. But, walking hand in hand with Jesus will lead us right into Heaven. That is the place we all want to live when this life is over. God Knows The Best Way to get there!

God Knows The Way I Should Take!

Job 23:10, “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. 11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. 12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.”

As I observe the behavior of the world around me, there seems to be a mad dash of lost humanity into their eternal destiny without regard for preserving their eternal souls. Life is precious and a gift from God. No one has the right to take away that gift!

We are living in an era when a majority of people support the killing of innocent children in the womb and then are horrified when someone takes a gun to school and massacres those innocent lives. Our world has created an atmosphere in which reverence for life has been greatly diminished for some and for others it is destroyed altogether. The weight is heavy upon us to sound the alarm and awaken lost humanity to the consequences of our apathy in this arena of life. We cannot attach value to life in one instance while devaluing life in another! We are reaping the result of our inconsistencies.

It is time to take a stand! As disciples of Jesus Christ, we must proclaim God's call to return to the principles of His Word. The path before us is unknown, however, the way ahead is not uncharted territory. We have never been this way before, but we can proceed with full assurance that God knows where we are going. God has something to say and a work to perform in this generation! If we have covenanted to walk with Him, we are going where He is going. God has gone before us and created our map in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Way! John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” If we follow Him, He will lead us in His path. He knows the way we should take!

There is no need to flounder in a climate of indecision when the answer is with us. Let us not be deterred by the uncertainties that lie before us but concern ourselves with the cause of Jesus Christ. He loves each and every person and has placed great value on each soul by giving His own life to bring life to the lifeless. We may not know the specifics of our future but we can be sure that if our faith is in the saving grace of the cross, we will finish well! God Knows The Way We Should Take!

Do You Hear The Sound Of Angel Wings?

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea the deep things of God."  1Corinthians 2:9-10

Do you hear the sound of Angel wings as they prepare for a great inflow of saints upon the stairs of Heaven? Can you hear the Angel band tuning up for the Welcome Song? Do you hear the clatter of dishes as the table is being prepared for the Great Banquet and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? Are you getting anxious to see your Savior, the one who died for you and has walked every step with you through this life?

Oh, what a Day that will be! We will live with Him eternally in our new home. I don't think it will be about the grandeur of the place, even though it will be grand...but about the Holy One that will be the LIGHT. It will be about the love that will permeate the whole of Creation. The joy that we have tasted will be brought to full fruition. The peace that has settled down on us at times will be multiplied beyond measure. The glory that fell and brought us to sheer delight will be greater than all this earth has ever known. The knowledge of who Jesus is to us will expand into volumes of understanding and revelation.

Yes, Heaven will be so beautiful to our eyes but our soul will encounter the King of Kings as we bow before His Throne. There are no words to describe what we will experience. Pure is one word that comes to mind...not mixed, immaculate, unadulterated, transparent, unblemished, purified, refined...on and on the description could go of the Pure and Holy atmosphere we will experience because of Jesus!

Do you have lots of questions that need answers? Don't worry, when you arrive "Home" you'll forget them all for they will be irrelevant. Without a doubt, you will be fulfilled and satisfied with all your surroundings. You'll be resting in the presence of the Lord and His Divine Plan for eternity.

Don't get too adjusted to this world. Make plans to move into your brand new HOME. Listen for the sound of Heaven! Be ready when He calls!

Hearing From God!

People need the Lord! And, we must have direction from the Lord! We are standing at the door of the most life-changing event in human history, the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. As the Body of Christ, we must look to God for the revelation and wisdom to complete our mission here. We must hear from God to know how to finish well!

As I was looking back over some correspondence, I ran across an email from the late Bishop L.V. Jones, in which he addressed this subject. It is just as relevant today as when he wrote it on 10/23/16.

“In a little while we will assemble as the Body of Christ at our meeting places. A favorite book in the Bible for me is Habakkuk, God's Prophet to Judah. He had seen Judah when she was spiritually strong and now in decline. The world affairs were in a mess; and so were the affairs of God's people. The Prophet searched to know God's mind and asked ‘Why are you silent knowing what is happening?’

So much like Today, the worldview was well established. The Prophet understood the need for God's View to be clearly understood. The Holy Ghost takes God's Word and makes it relevant and applicable to our Day. We need to hear directly from God's Throne Today...”

The Holy Spirit within us is groaning for the Will of God to be performed in every believer's life. Will you respond to the groanings of the Holy Spirit in you?

Lord, I want to know the thoughts you are thinking toward me! I want to hear what you are saying to me! Lord Jesus, give me the revelation of your thoughts toward me.

What would happen if 2 believers in every church congregation began to walk in the revelation of God’s thoughts toward them? If they would respond to the groanings of the Holy Spirit and walk in the revelation of God’s will in their daily walk with Him! Jesus said, “...if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven,” Matt. 18:19. Can you imagine the fulfillment of this promise? As each person begins to walk in the revelation of God’s thoughts toward them, and as God’s people come into agreement with the will and desire of God through the Holy Ghost, the Body of Christ would turn the world upside down for Jesus Christ.

Acts 17:6, “... These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;”

Holy Covering! by Myra Boozer

There is a covering sent down from the Father Above. He is the Presence of the Holy Spirit. He will hover over the Righteous and fill every void. He will filter out the world and the stench of sin and corruption. He will dispense the "sweet smell" of Holiness upon the people of God bringing love, joy and peace upon the Believer. He cannot be bought or purchased in any store. He comes from the Father the one who sets people free...free from sin and condemnation. He is the all powerful work of God that He promised to those who seek NOT for the "Things" of this world but seek for the HEART of God and all that He has for us. His presence is priceless, far above rubies or treasures of this world...far above pleasures or longings of the flesh. He is not only a covering but an infilling of God's presence that will captivate you and your desires. All we need is to be covered or wrapped in His Presence...the Best Gift we could ever receive.

2 Cor. 9:15, “Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.”

Let There Be Hope!

Luke 2:10, “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” The angel's announcement was the source of Hope for all people!

We live in troubling times if all you see is this present conflict. Paul said, "if in this life only I have hope, I am of all men most miserable." We must have hope beyond what we see. And we do have hope if we have put our faith in Jesus Christ. The child of God has nothing to fear! Actually we should be excited that last days prophecies are being fulfilled and that "Jesus is coming soon..."

In the midst of all the turmoil everywhere, let us be thankful that Jesus has provided an escape. My prayer is that we will reflect the glory of God is such a fashion that the unbelieving will see Christ and make that decision to follow Him. May the presence of the Holy Spirit be with you in every place as you exemplify the “Hope” we have in Jesus Christ!

Our Hope Is In Jesus! by Myra Boozer

Just thinking how Satan works to paint a picture of a horrible, no-win situation in the lives of those who may be going through a dry valley...a place where you are thirsty for a drink of spiritual water...a place where you seem to be all alone and no one seems to have time to give you an encouraging word...a time when the wall just won't come down and the Lord seems to withhold the ladder for you to climb over. And then, with everything else it's time to pay those bills and the money is low...the tears seem to flow and the heart breaks but you find that the Lord is standing in front of you holding out His hands to you...wanting to lift you from the valley and sit you on the mountain of Hope where the sun is shining and the birds are singing the song of deliverance.

It is up to you...after you pour out your heart and rid yourself of all doubt and fears...reach up to the ONE who can change that picture and give you the best drink of water you have ever had. He will tear down those walls and open doors that have been closed. His promise is for you! If you are looking down instead of looking up, God loves you...love Him back and watch things begin to change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEtDhcmQtzs&t=40s

The Day Truth Came To Live Among Us!

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy.

Do you hear what I hear,

ringing through the sky, shepherd boy,

Do you hear what I hear,

a song, a song, high above the trees,

With a voice as big as the sea,

With a voice as big as the sea.

And so goes the lyrics of a classic version of a favorite Christmas carol. The inspired thought is that all creation heralds the birth of God's greatest gift to mankind. The little lamb in the stable depicts the lowly birth of the King. The glorious news would not be concealed in the humble stable but has become a universal message of hope. The Good News, first proclaimed by the glorious host of heaven, embraced by the common shepherd in the field, and spread abroad by them as they went, has become the message to all people. A song trumpeted “high above the trees” resounding to the throne of heaven, “with a voice as big as the sea.” The song goes forth with such a thunderous roar, “with a voice as big as the sea,” that all other songs cease to exist for His voice condemns them to silence.

This is the message of Christmas! The message has echoed across history for over 2000 years. The message of celebration for the gift of God's only begotten Son given for the salvation of man. We have been given an enormous, undeserved gift. Let us not spurn the grace of God by rejecting His mercy. That is the song that the angels sang, “The day Truth came to live among us.”

May your Christmas be filled with reverent awe and hear His “voice as big as the sea!”

Jesus, The Gift That Keeps On Giving! by Myra Boozer

As I reflect upon Christmas Day and our time with family, I am reminded of the faces of our sweet grandchildren. They come to Nana and Papa's house knowing that we will eat lunch first, before the gifts are unwrapped. This isn't easy for little children to know there are gifts, boxes with paper and bows hiding those undiscovered treasures inside. I love the thoughts of those faces covered in smiles that turn to laughter as they receive their gifts from us. They appear so HAPPY and I have heard them say a few times, "just what I wanted!"

The thought came to me, God didn't give us the "Gift of His Son" to make us HAPPY per se. Even though Psalms 16:11 says, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore." This is wonderful and we will understand more of this in Heaven one day. THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO HIS GIFT! He gave His Son that we might not PERISH, to be cast into eternal torment. This life can offer some pleasure but it only lasts for a short season and it is gone. ETERNITY IS FOREVER AND EVER! THANK YOU GOD FOR THE GIFT OF YOUR SON, WHO BRINGS LIFE ETERNAL TO ALL WHO BELIEVE AND RECEIVE!

Are you finding great pleasure in the GIFT of God's SON? JESUS is the GIFT that keeps on GIVING? He gives healing in the midst of sickness...He gives joy in the presence of great sorrow...He gives comfort in the time of trouble...He gives peace in the time of turbulence... He brings hope when the last straw falls...He brings courage with the enemy is towering...He brings victory when the battle is overwhelming...He brings love when everyone walks away… He brings understanding to the chaos...He brings freedom in the prison cell...He brings redemption to the lost soul...He just keeps on giving and giving making your choice of receiving HIM so immeasurably priceless for all eternity!

Come, Let Us Adore Him!

Adore – to regard with loving admiration and devotion, to worship or honor as divine.

Luke 2:15, “And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.”

How can we not adore the person of Jesus Christ? If we believe what God’s Word teaches us of His birth, life and sacrifice, we must be captured by loving admiration and devotion for Him. If we have experienced a life changing encounter with His redemptive grace, we are compelled to worship and honor Him as God’s Divine gift to all of mankind.

How can we not adore Him? The Son of God, Jesus committed Himself to the purpose of salvation for all who would believe and receive His gift of redemption. He chose to leave His throne in heaven, be born in the form of human flesh, live and die for the cause of man’s redemption and be raised from the dead, victorious over death, hell and the grave. In so doing, He established the precedent for all believers who die in the faith of His sacrifice, that they too are victorious over death and have the promise of eternal life with Him.

How can we not adore Him? Jesus, who through His selfless commitment to our redemption and personal welfare, has become our intimate companion and friend who is closer than the bond of blood kinship. Come let us adore Him especially at this time of the celebration of His birth but also every succeeding moment of the rest of our lives and through the eternal ages as we reign with Him forever! Come, Let Us Adore Him!

Do You Hear What I Hear? by Myra Boozer

This is love and the Greatest Gift ever given...That God would send His only begotten Son to earth to live and die for all our sins...That we too can live in His Kingdom and Reign with Him forevermore…Our Messiah, the Lord of Lords, JESUS CHRIST.

Open the ears of Your children Lord all over the world. Let us hear the sound of Your Coming! May our hearts overflow with a reverent fear of who You are, for You are HOLY. Just a few more days and we will celebrate Your birth all over the world. What a glorious celebration will be had by a people who open their hearts and minds to Your wondrous gift and receive JESUS CHRIST.

"Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy, do you hear what I hear? Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy. Do you hear what I hear? A song, a song high above the trees with a voice as big as the sea, with a VOICE as big as the sea."

Not everyone hears the same thing today. Some hear hope in the politician's voice promising change while others hear fear and defeat. I, like the little lamb, ask the same question to you today, "Do you hear what I hear...a song, a song high above the trees.” And it goes like this, "For the LORD himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the VOICE of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD. Wherefore comfort one another," I Thessalonians 4:16-18. Lord, your arrival may be as soon as CHRISTMAS. Do You Hear What I Hear?

Make Room For Jesus!

Luke 2:7, “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”

Today, we stand at the door of a grand endeavor. That is to prepare for the appearance of the Son of God, the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ. Our challenge is to make ready for His return, to be united with the bridegroom. The external forces in our world are pressing in upon the boundaries of holiness and righteousness so firmly established in God's Holy Word. The ideals of a carnal theology have infiltrated the pulpit and diluted the faith once delivered to the saints. But the Holy Spirit is the sustaining force within. He will lead and guide us into the Truth of His Word.

Many voices are claiming to speak for God. Although God uses human vessels to share His message, we must know God in an intimate and personal kinship so He can speak directly to us. The Holy Spirit and the Word will teach us the Truth. The Holy Ghost will help us to understand the events we are seeing take place in our world today. When we read God's warnings in His Word and see the events around us aligning with the Word, we must conclude that we live in the End Times.

Are we really expecting Jesus, our Messiah to return to deliver us? The world was not expecting Him when He came the first time and they missed His gift of Salvation. Don’t let that happen to you! Make Room For Jesus!

Heb. 9:28, "...unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

Distractions! by Myra Boozer

If you were at the Airport Terminal with your bags packed and your ticket in hand would you throw those things aside, grab a taxi, and head back home to start a "makeover?" Would you tear down and build a bigger home and plant an orchard? Or start making plans for more training on how to build your career? Not really! Not if your mind and your heart were set, fixed, and determined to make the trip of your life. Say, a trip to your final destination, to the place that Jesus has gone to prepare for you.

Now mind you, we don’t know when the call will come to leave this earth but we can see all the signals are giving the go-ahead. Even if there is a delay at the airport, you don’t go back home. You stay sitting on ready because when the call is given you must be READY!

Are we getting Ready? Many distractions will come to us in many different forms. This is our great challenge, to NOT become entangled with the affairs of this life when we see that day fast approaching. Galatians 5:1, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." The affairs of this world can become bondage to us, distracting us from our ultimate goal.

The call for all of God's people is about to happen. The call is about to be made for all those "Departing" this sinful world.  We are going HOME! 1 Peter 4:7 "but the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer." We must be vigilant, alert, and listening for his call. Don't allow the sounds of Distractions to cause you to miss the Sound of His Coming...Be Ready!

Follow His Revelation In Faith! Conclusion

(for part 2 see 12/15/23)

Jer. 29:10, “For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. 11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.”

God's promise to Israel was “restoration.” After all they were to suffer because of disobedience, He promised to bring them back to their land with a renewed relationship with Him. God will fulfill His purpose in this world and in this age. Restoration has already begun and those people who will put their faith in Christ have an appointed end.

We can embrace our determined end because of the eternal nature of God's promises. His covenant is forever settled in heaven. What He has spoken will never change. We can put our faith in every word! 2 Cor. 1:20, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 21Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” As we walk in the Holy Spirit, we can discern the events of our time as pieces of a much larger picture of God's eternal plan. Faith rises up in us! Faith compels and propels us forward into a future we don't completely understand. But, because of our faith in the infallibility of God's Promise, we move with purpose, assurance, and confidence.

Faith places each person in charge of his own destiny. Our future is determined by our faith in God or lack thereof. Our faith in God will determine our obedience to Him and His plan for our lives. Subsequently, we determine our destiny by our submissiveness to His leading.

A ship adrift in calm seas is helpless. A ship adrift in stormy seas is catastrophic. We are facing the most tumultuous times of this age. We cannot risk our engines being dead in the water. Our survival is dependent upon the power of the Holy Spirit to help us navigate the raging seas just ahead. My cry is, “God fill us again and again with the power of the Holy Ghost.” Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Follow His Revelation In Faith!

Struggling for peace and warmth in your heart…

Dry all your tears and bring a warm fire to your life…

Make you His own, to never be forgotten or forsaken…

He is Jesus…

YES, Jesus died for you and He longs to come and be your EVERYTHING!

Follow His Revelation In Faith! Part 2

(for part 1 see 12/13/23)

What is the difference in our lives being directed by faith or fate? People who allow fate to be their compass in life will go with the flow. Their lives are driven by the events surrounding them, much like rivers and streams rise and fall with the ebb and flow of the seasons. In the summer months, when there is less rainfall, these bodies of water remain restricted within their banks and appear to move effortlessly because water will choose the path of least resistance. In the winter and spring when there is typically more rainfall, the rivers and streams can escape their banks but still seek the path of least resistance. They escape their banks because of the sheer volume of water. The ebb and flow of the rivers and streams are determined by the events in weather and will respond accordingly always moving downstream with gravity.

Followers of fate live a reactionary life, simply responding to the events and conditions in their lives as they occur. We all react to the circumstances around us but circumstances cannot be our compass in life. As followers of Jesus Christ, faith is the driving force in our lives! We cannot seek the path of least resistance and most of the time we are called upon to move against the current. God's Word requires that we fight against the onslaught of public opinion and stand for Truth. As Believer's in Jesus Christ, we must call attention to the moral depravity running rampant in this world. With faith as our compass, we can move ahead with purpose, God's purpose. We will not be deterred by the negative events and conditions around us! Because our faith is in the finished work of Jesus Christ, we can see beyond our immediate future to our promised end. Repentance Will Bring A Glorious Reunion! by Myra Boozer

"And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie; but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." Revelation 21:27

Over two thousand years ago evil men set out to kill the Baby Jesus. Many babies had been killed through the ages but it was not time for JESUS to die. God had a plan for His life. It was not an easy life, but he was faithful and He endured the cross for the JOY that was set before Him. He told us in THE LORD'S PRAYER to pray, “...deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever...” Matt. 6:13

Many babies have been killed through the years. We can't do anything for those babes that were overtaken by evil. BUT, we can pray for our babies that we all can be ready when our time comes to leave this world. Jesus has a place, a kingdom where He is the King and no evil can enter...NO MORE Dying...NO MORE HIDING FROM EVIL...AND NO MORE TEARS. ALL WILL BE JOY IN THAT PLACE. OH, I WANT TO GO! What a blessed Reunion we will have with all those gone on before us.

I believe we will see and hold every one of those precious babies and I pray that many mothers will be reunited with the baby they never held...the one they thought they couldn't take care of... the one they didn't want or have time for. In some cases, the Mother may have been made to have an abortion by her parents or guardian. The good news...Repentance makes all things new, pure, and lovely. Repentance Will Bring about A Glorious Reunion. That will be such a wonderful day for the Child of God. Our Future is filled with HOPE...Looking forward to the meeting in the air, and “...so shall we ever be with the LORD.” 1Thess. 4:17

Follow His Revelation In Faith!

Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen,” KJV.  The New Living Translation states it thus, “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” We must follow, in faith, the revelation of Jesus Christ as revealed in God’s Word.

The shepherds of Luke 2 were so driven by their experience of the revelation that they were compelled by their faith to seek out the truth of the angel's proclamation. Luke 2:15, “And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.”

The wise men of Matthew 2 followed the star by faith to find the Savior. Their understanding of the scriptures and desire to experience the promise compelled them to seek out the truth of the prophecy. Matt. 2:10, “When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.”

Faith is essential to our discovery of the promised Messiah! The fact of our need and desire for faith was impressed upon me recently while listening to traditional Christmas music. One phrase really stood out to me and it is for that reason that I want to share my thoughts. The song was “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and I have included it here.

“Some day soon we all will be together

If the fates allow.

Until then we'll have to muddle through somehow,

And have yourself a merry little Christmas now.”

The line that really impressed me was, “if the fates allow,” with particular emphasis on the word “fate.” The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines “fate” as a state or end seemingly decided beforehand. Synonyms include circumstance, destiny, fortune, kismet, lot, and portion. Faith is essential to our discovery of the promise of Messiah and our salvation! Our search for this revelation must be driven by faith in God’s promise. Our search must be deliberate and in no way influenced by the secular idea of “fate.” (continued)

You (Jesus) Came Wrapped In Humanity! by Myra Boozer

GLORY to GOD in the highest and PEACE on earth to men! "MAY the song the Angels sang stir our HEARTS again," Helen Steiner Rice.

The shepherds, poor as they were, got to see the NATIVITY right up front. Had Jesus been born in the Inn where it was all warm and cozy, the shepherds would not have been allowed to enter. They were stinky, no doubt, for they had been in the fields working and caring for the sheep. God knew this all the time even before He allowed His precious Son to be wrapped in humanity and come to the earth. God had every person in mind when it came to offering His Son, the perfect sacrifice for all sin. He knew His Son would be offered on level ground for ALL, not just a few, or the elite but for All men everywhere.

For some reason, the shepherds touch my heart more than the Kings. Maybe I can identify with them more because I have never been wealthy or royal. I have just been an ordinary person. Amazing, no one was left out from the lowly stinky people right up to royalty. Yes, JESUS CAME FOR EACH AND EVERYONE. But they all bowed down to this Holy Child, not because Mary and Joseph required it but because of REVELATION. The Shepherds had been visited by the Angels telling them to not be afraid but to go and see the Christ Child. The Kings knew the scripture from the prophets that a Child would be born and they were to follow the star leading them to the BABY JESUS.

Lord, I pray this year more than ever that men and women, boys and girls would receive a revelation of Your Coming to earth as a Baby and bow in humble adoration before YOU. You grew into a strong young man who willingly laid down Your life for all. Who also arose on the third day, overcoming death, hell, and the grave, making it possible for us to be part of the Resurrection Day that is coming soon. When those who are alive and remain will be caught up with those who have died and forever we will be with YOU in Your HOME. No, it will not be a stable, it will be a Palace of great splendor. You are the King of Kings and we will BOW before you. "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Luke 2:14 KJV

The Revelation Of Jesus Christ! Conclusion

(for part 1 see 12/8/23

What God has purposed will require the power of the Holy Spirit to totally change or transform this fleshly tabernacle into a spiritual habitation for Himself. Transformation is a complete or major change in someone's or something's appearance, form, etc. This process begins for us with the first step to salvation which is repentance. Acts 3:19, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” This is only the beginning of our new life in Him and there are still yet times of refreshing coming in the Body as Jesus reveals His purpose in us.

Peter was addressing the Jewish unbelievers regarding their rejection and crucifixion of Jesus, their Messiah. This comes after the healing of the lame man at the gate of the temple. The people marveled at this act. However, Peter said, you did what you did through ignorance but God revealed His coming through the mouth of the prophets and that Christ should suffer and die. Therefore repent of your ignorance and sinful disobedience and be restored.

Through this message, God was giving them another chance for redemption. Repentance is not only a change of mind but a change of heart, a total transformation of the spirit-man. Then and only then will Jesus Christ be manifest in us.

Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” May the transforming power of the Holy Spirit reveal the Lord Jesus Christ in us!

Jesus Is Our Refuge! by Myra Boozer

You can't travel very far on any given Street or road without seeing a Church Steeple and sometimes they are side by side. When we lived in Valley Head, a tiny little town at the foot of Lookout Mountain near Fort Payne, AL., I could look out my kitchen window and see three Churches. We were Pastors of a Church on top of the mountain at Mentone, also surrounded by other Churches.

There are church buildings everywhere. We are living in the middle of the Bible belt but many people are confused, troubled, and not connected to any Church...Why? This troubles me greatly...an abundance of Churches (places of refuge) but are they giving fresh bread (Jesus is the Bread of Life) to the hungry souls? Are they keeping the Spiritual Fires burning to warm the cold and the lost? Are they teaching Truth...or just some ideas that make people comfortable in their situation? Do they offer Freedom from the chains that bind people?  Do they have the Key to help the enslaved to be set free from sin? Are they the Lighthouse to the weary traveler? What is going on in these beautiful buildings that have the lights on several nights a week? Is there revival, renewal, regeneration, and restoration happening? What is happening in all these places?

Our Church buildings are beautiful structures but will they lead the lost to Jesus? Will they leave rejoicing because of their new Freedom in Him? Will they find Hope and receive Life and direction for the days we have left? Will they desire to leave their shackles and receive the new life of freedom from sin and walk in union with Christ? People need answers! They need love! They need JESUS!

The Revelation Of Jesus Christ!

Galatians 1:9, “As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. 11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

The Apostle Paul is recounting his own personal experience to the Church at Galatia. He emphasizes the powerful nature of his revelation of Jesus Christ and the subsequent effect of that revelation on the message he has preached and is preaching. He received the authority to preach the Gospel directly from Jesus Christ Himself! What we all require is a revelation of Jesus Christ!

If we are to share in the revelation of Jesus Christ, we will require the assistance and nurture of the Holy Spirit. What God has purposed will require the power of the Holy Spirit to totally change or transform this fleshly tabernacle into a spiritual habitation for Himself. The revelation of Jesus Christ is to welcome Him to take charge of our lives, uninhibited by our human limitations, to be a living, breathing, walking vessel filled with the Holy Spirit. He (Jesus) Is More Than Enough! by Myra Boozer

John 14:13, “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlastinglife." That speaks to me about a life without want. Remember, ‘The Lord is MY Shepherd, I shall not want...’ the broader meaning, not lacking, not deficient in proper care, management, or husbandry. But a second emphasis is the idea of being utterly contented in the Good Shepherd's care and consequently not craving or desiring anything more," taken from A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 by Phillip Keller.

As I have been reading in the Book of Mark about Jesus, the disciples, and the multitudes, I really honed in on a question Jesus asked the disciples as they had departed in a ship to the "other side" away from the crowds. As they left, the disciples realized they only had one loaf of bread on the entire ship, a real dilemma for hungry men. This is what Jesus had to say about their reasoning over such a small amount of bread. Mark 8:17-18, "...Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? Have ye your heart yet hardened? Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? AND DO YE NOT REMEMBER? When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many BASKETS FULL of fragments took ye up? They said unto him TWELVE. And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said SEVEN, and he said unto them, HOW IS IT THAT YE DO NOT UNDERSTAND?"

When we have Jesus in our lives, we are covered at all times. He has provision that is MORE THAN ENOUGH! Now these guys are talking about a loaf of bread, not a Banquet. Many may feel that God lets them down or doesn't provide because they do not receive a "Lobster Fest" on a Cruise Ship.

I found this statement a while ago..."God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." When the desires of this world can fade away like a fog lifting off the valley, I believe that we find a new perspective about life, love, and our relationship with others, especially God. He just fills our every longing and desire. We no longer are pushed and pressured into needing anything except Him and His presence. It is no longer about me and what I must attain or receive from this world. He becomes my focus. He brings my life to the fullest and my heart can sing in the midst of chaos because I know He Is More Than Enough for today, tomorrow, and forever...and He always has leftovers...His storehouse is FULL...

God, I Need You Every Day!

Exodus 20:18, “And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. 19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. 21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.”

When God invited Moses to meet with Him at the top of Mt. Sinai, his life was changed forever. He came as close to God as any man can and still live. Most importantly, he received direction from God. God instructed him in His law of life. “If you will obey me and keep my commandments, I will be your God and you will be my people.”

Not only did God reveal His law but He revealed Himself through His law and His Presence. The mountain was as though it was on fire with smoke rising and thunder and lightning. It was such a sight that the Israelites were afraid and moved back from the base of the mountain. God revealed Himself in the awesomeness of His Presence and the revelation of His law. God wrote His law in tables of stone and had it delivered by His chosen servant to His chosen people. The people were so moved by the awesomeness of God’s presence that they overwhelmingly accepted God’s law.

The children of God now had God to lead, guide, and protect them. And they had His law to live by. You would think that all would be great, right? No, not really! The Israelites had a short memory. They would forget about the awesomeness of God’s presence which affected their observance of His law. That’s where the disruptions in their lives came about.

Today, as Christians, we need to walk in the awesomeness of Christ’s presence. We need the ever-abiding presence of the Holy Spirit to be manifest in our lives daily. The further the Israelites traveled away from Sinai, the further they moved from His awesomeness. What about the pillar of the cloud and pillar of fire and manna every day? They became common occurrences and were taken for granted.

We are no different! The further we move away from an awesome encounter with the Lord, the less attention we give Him and His commission to us. We tend to take for granted the everyday blessings. But if we walk in a continued awareness of His presence, we can see Him in everything. Everyday occurrences are blessings. Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” God, I Need You Every day!

Prayer Is Not A Spare Wheel! by Myra Boozer

God help us to remember this..."Prayer is not a 'spare wheel' that you pull out when in trouble...But it is a 'steering wheel' that directs the path throughout…" To want God's attention only when in trouble is not really wanting God at all...it is, that a person wants the problem solved and right quick...God forgive us all for not talking to you more and giving you control in so many situations of life. We need you MORE than Yesterday, more than words can say. Oh, we NEED YOU in everything, we need YOU!

Seeking God's Face?

Do I want God’s blessings or do I want Him? I make the conscious decision here and now that I want Him! More than anything, I want my life to be governed by Him, totally! Am I willing to pay the price? What price? You mean there is a price, an investment on my part?

To have God govern our lives totally, we must abandon anything resembling the old life of flesh. That means that my will is submitted in every sense to His will. That means He is living His life through me, not as a puppet but as a dedicated servant.

You mean I am to be a slave to God and that is the only way I will have Him? 1 Cor. 9:19, “For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.” The word translated here “servant” in the Greek text means “to make a slave of, reduce to bondage.” Paul was saying that he had become a slave to Christ. He simply meant that his life was consumed with obeying Jesus’ leading.

When we were in sin, we were servants to sin. We were made slaves under the bondage of sin. Sin controlled all thoughts and actions. We have put away sin and no longer serve sin. Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Therefore, we are no more slaves to sin but servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. Opposition Will Come! by Myra Boozer

Do you believe that God's guidance is more important than common sense? When Corrie Ten Boom came to America years ago, after her release from Ravensbruck Prison Camp, she was asked, "Why did you come to America?" She replied, "God directed me. All I could do was obey." "That's nonsense," they answered. “There is no such thing as direct guidance from God. Experience proves we must use our common sense. If you are here and out of money, then it is your fault, not God's.” Corrie tried to argue back in God's defense. "But God's guidance is even more important than common sense. I am certain He told me to bring His message to America. I can declare that the deepest darkness is outshone by the light of Jesus." "We have ministers to tell us such things was the reply.” "Certainly, but I can tell from my experience in a concentration camp that what such ministers say is true." They replied, “It would have been better for you to have remained in Holland. We don't need any more preachers. Too many Europeans come to America. They should be stopped."

Needless to say, that was very discouraging words to Corrie. She was embarrassed and humbled. She had money in Holland but the funds could not be brought to America. MY POINT IS THIS...the world is not going to strengthen you in spiritual matters. They will let you down, even tear you down. Yes, this was coming from "church people" but they had not been where Corrie had been and received what Corrie had received. They were looking through different eyes, the eyes of reasoning and common sense, not through eyes of FAITH and TRUST.

Where is your guidance coming from today? Are you looking to the world to give you direction with their reasoning and common sense? OR, are you looking to Jesus and His word? Do you feel that calm assurance that even if all of your friends and loved ones turn away from you, you will still listen to the still small voice of the Lord and follow Him? He takes pleasure in those who do and He will keep you in all of your ways.

I had no idea that Corrie met with such rejection and opposition in America at that time but that did not stop her. Is it stopping you?

Are We Prepared To Engage The Prince Of Darkness?

1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”

Satan is the prince of darkness! He is like a wild animal rushing around seeking to destroy all that he can. His time is short and he is frantic to destroy everything associated with God. The spirit of Antichrist is becoming stronger as each day passes. This is the rise of the last day's influence of Satan setting the stage for the beast in the prophecy of Daniel and John in the book of Revelation.

These forces of light and darkness have been embroiled in battle since Lucifer's original rebellion in heaven. God could not allow him to continue his angelic role in his rebellious state. Therefore, he was cast out of heaven and became the prince of darkness, ruler of the darkness of this world.

The consequences of the conflict can be directly related to rebellion, the rebellion of Lucifer, and of man against the sovereignty and law of God. Although times of evil and darkness have gripped the earth in centuries past, the grand finale is still to come. Satan is preparing for his last stand. He knows his end and will do everything he can to destroy all he can. He has targeted every level of order in the world. His goal is to destroy order and control and create total chaos.

We are fully engaged in this timeless struggle. Paul stated in Ephesians 6:12 that we are fighting a warfare in the spiritual realm, against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We are fighting for our very lives, our children, grandchildren, friends, neighbors, and as many as our Lord God shall call. But we know how the story ends and that is our hope. God did not allow Lucifer's rebellion to go unpunished and He will address it again in the end. (continued)

Unwise To Justify The Wicked! Conclusion by Myra Boozer

(see 12/1/23 for part 1)

When we declare the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ as being "Our Lord" that means He is Lord over everything, every thought, every decision and every relationship. It means what God does not condone, we can't either. We have a great responsibility to others to speak Truth and live Truth.

We are responsible to train our children and stand against all the evil that is being thrown at them through our culture. It is not for us to allow the world and ungodly people to dictate to them what Truth is or what is acceptable. We cannot tell them it is okay to live like the world and participate in every ungodly activity that society has conceived. We cannot allow them to be seduced by the perversion of evil people who are only concerned about their evil ideas.

When we become politically correct and tolerate the sickened agenda that "Hollywood " is portraying even to little children, we have fallen short of the mandate that God set for those who call Him Lord. Little minds and little hearts are being so abused by society thru the media. We may wonder when this will stop? Will we ever be normal again? I don't think so, only worse because too many have been tolerant of immodest fashion, disorderly conduct and even attitudes of "however I want to live is okay, because society accepts it."

Many have failed to teach that wrong exist, that bad exist, and that unacceptable exist. We must tell them we are not to justify and condone every lifestyle. Many Christian leaders are not addressing the problems that we are facing in this generation, because tolerance has slipped into many churches. Many Christians want to be accepted and listened too so they walk on eggshells and speak the acceptable message that makes people feel good instead of telling them the Truth. We must not remain silent, fearing isolation and rejection by society and even some churches because we do not justify (free from blame or guilt) those who do wickedly. "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death," Proverbs 14:12 KJV.

Jesus Christ is our hope! He is the remedy for all sin. He leads and guides us day by day when we live by His Word. Oh, His Grace is sufficient to hold us and to heal our broken hearts when those we love are more influenced by the world than they are by us. We must never give up! We must keep praying and proclaiming the Word of God for it is life unto salvation.

"But ye beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some having compassion, making a difference: and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To the only WISE God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen," Jude 20-25. This scripture is powerful and covers what we need to do!

God Will Judge Sin (Rebellion)! Conclusion

(for part 1 see 12/1/23)

Isaiah 9:10, “The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.”

God uses the same principle today as he did with Israel to correct His children. He will warn us and give us the opportunity to make the necessary corrections. He will show us where we missed the mark. In the midst of our situation, all we need to do is trace it back to a failure on our part, a place in our journey where we made a wrong choice, where we took the wrong path. Then we are presented with the choice to repent and return to Him or suffer the consequences for our disobedience.

God is good and His mercy endures forever to bring salvation to all who will obey. Psalm 106:1, “Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever 2Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can shew forth all his praise? 3Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times. 4Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;”

God's desire is for the world to observe how He loves those that will come into a loving, obedient relationship with Him, v5, “That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.” Even in our blatant rebellion, His heart yearns for communion with us. We have not fully understood God's plan for us, if we did we would not pull back, v6, “We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly. 7Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea. 8Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.”

The rebellion of all mankind is what has brought us to where we are today. We are seeing an all out revolution against the sovereignty and will of God. God created us as free agents and has given us the privilege of choice so He will not force His will and purpose upon us. We must come to Him realizing our need of Him and submit to Him freely. God stands ready to forgive all that will repent and return to Him. Be sure and know that God Will Judge Sin (Rebellion)!

Unwise To Justify The Wicked! by Myra Boozer

"He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the Lord," Proverbs 17:15.

It seems that sin is being accepted more than ever. Many are no longer ashamed of their error, their mistakes, or their sin. When this happens, many feel justified and they stay on the same path of destruction. They are telling themselves, "I have done no wickedness" especially when they aren't held accountable for their wrong doings by those around them.

The Lord God is not pleased with those who JUSTIFY the wicked nor those that condemn the righteous. In this verse, they are put in the same category. They are both called an abomination. That word means to hate, to loathe. Yet, people want to say God is not angry with me! I believe this scripture proves that statement to be wrong. "But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and FIERY INDIGNATION, which shall devour the adversaries," Hebrews 10:27. Adversaries are the enemies of God. He is definitely angry with SIN. "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God," Hebrews 10:31.

Who is speaking against sin? Who is warning? Where is the fear of the Lord?  Who is lifting up the standard of righteousness? Who is standing in the Gap? Who is proclaiming the year of the Lord? Who is speaking TRUTH to this perverse generation? Who is declaring the WORD of the Lord in the face of the wicked? "He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them." Proverbs 24:24-25

I believe God is merciful, gracious, and so patient with mankind. He loves YOU! However, He does not condone SIN! He loves you more than that. He loves you so much that He will send His Holy Spirit to convict you of your error, your mistakes, your willful sin. It doesn't matter who justifies you, friends or family. When God says it is sin, it is sin and it will separate you from God. "My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth," Hebrews 12:5-6.

The scripture goes on to say If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons. But if you be without chastening then you are not sons. It is your choice to receive correction or not. Ask God to send the Holy Spirit to convict and convince you of the sin that has beset you. The sin that maybe is accepted and even celebrated by the world. Only God is the true judge of all sin. "Let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire," Hebrews 12; 28b-29. It is Unwise To Justify The Wicked. (continued)

God Will Judge Sin (Rebellion)!

Judgment doesn't suddenly come upon a people or person without warning. In the Old Testament, when God's people strayed from His leadership, God always sent His Prophet to warn them of the consequences and give an opportunity for correction and change. A good example of this is found in Isaiah 9:10, “The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.” Isaiah had prophesied the imminent judgment upon the northern tribes of Israel specifically addressing the tribe of Ephraim and the city of Samaria. Isaiah 9:9, “And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,...” The people's response was that they would build back bigger and better. The chosen materials would be hewn stones and cedars which were used for the palaces of the kings. The brick and sycamores were for the common people. That spirit that rises up is the spirit of carnal flesh which must be crucified. The correct response would have been to repent and return to God.

The leadership of this nation followed the example of ancient Israel in response to the attacks on the World Trade Center, Sept. 11, 2001. Senator Tom Daschle stood on the floor of the US. Senate building the next day, Sept. 12. He gave the following response to this devastating attack. “There is a passage in the Bible from Isaiah that speaks to all of us in times like this. Isaiah 9:10, 'The bricks are fallen down, but we will rebuild them with smooth stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars,' That is what we will do. We will rebuild and recover. The people of America will stand together because the people of America have always stood together, and those of us who are privileged to serve this great nation will stand with you. God bless the people of America.”

This passage of scripture was repeatedly used in the following months in an attempt to instill hope and inspiration. But apparently, there was no national approach to repentance. Look at where we are today! As a nation, we are more divided than ever before in our lifetime. Law and order in our world appear to be dissolving right before our eyes. (Just watch the evening news). Justice and mercy are thrown in the streets like so much refuse. Micah 6:8, “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” God has revealed His Truth and will continue to reveal Himself to all who will receive. The choice is ours but we must repent and return to the Lord God Jehovah.

When the seeds of disobedience are sown they will bring forth fruit in due season. But in the midst of our rebellion, God has saved us for His name's sake. You may feel trapped where you are and may not be where you want to be. Jesus will set you free from whatever holds you fast. Call out to Him. He will deliver today!

Lord God Almighty, we want to follow your direction. Help us to always hear your voice clearly. Shut out the extraneous noise that so overwhelms the thought process that we get lost in the fight. Help us to focus on the important and allow the useless to fall away. Sweep the irrelevant away and deposit it far from us. We want no interference! We want to focus on YOU alone. Blessed be the Name of the Lord! (continued)

There Is A War Going On! by Myra Boozer

One day we are going to throw off this mortal man, this fleshly body we live in, and we will put on the immortal man, the one that never dies. But, until that time we stay in a battle. Our fleshly man is warring against our spiritual man.

As Christians, we must keep the fleshly, carnal man under subjection. He is NOT to rule our life because our spiritual man is to guide us! We must surrender our thoughts, our plans, and our desires to Jesus. He will help us to make wise choices and decisions.

If we feed the carnal man all the things he desires, such as, "do whatever feels good," "fit in with the crowd," "live it up while you can," "remember life is short and you deserve everything you can get." When these thoughts are accepted as the way to live, you make your carnal man to be the STRONG man.

If we feed the spiritual man what he desires, He will feast on God's word, His commandments, His Truth and His Love. We will make sacrifices, give time to love others and deny ourselves. We will speak when the Spirit says to speak and be silent when He says to be silent. We will yield ourselves to be a vessel unto honor.

We will live a life not for ourselves but for JESUS. He will be the STRONG man in our lives. You may think it hasn't been that important up till now. But, the battle is getting stronger each day that passes. Your spirit man may have had a little strength but it is time for MUCH strength. The carnal man is not even a candidate for this battle because it is a great Spiritual battle! This is a battle that will not be fought in the natural or physical body. It is definitely fought in the Spirit!

Romans 8:6, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” There Is A War Going On!

Return To The Source Of Your Life!

John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

In the beginning, God was! Before anything, God was and He created all things including you and me. I feel that He is pulling us back to Himself as in 1 John 1:1, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;” He has been with us from the beginning of this journey and He wants us to understand that it is through Him that we will finish. There is no other power, presence or virtue sufficient to complete our assignment. He will magnify our efforts and ministry as He receives the honor and glory for the results.

The Holy Spirit is calling, “come wrap yourself in the power of His presence and allow Him to perform in you His glorious works!” I am weak but He is strong! If we allow Him to fully control our lives, we are made strong in our weakness because our weakness is God's strength. There is no enemy that can stand against Him! There is no foe that He cannot overcome! There is no fortress that can withstand Him and no opposition that He cannot vanquish!

Come, come to Him now! Run, run to Him now and allow him to wrap you in His mantle of authority and shelter you from the storms ahead. I hear the rumbling in the distance, the sound of a mighty army moving into position. It is a well prepared force, each warrior is in his place and prepared to do his duty. There is no fear in their number because they have been washed clean. Though their sins were as crimson, their raiment is white as snow. And there is one with them whose name no one can know except that His eyes are a flaming fire and He is clothed with a vesture dipped in blood and His name is the Word of God. Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword to smite the nations and rule them with the rod of Truth and He tramples the wine-press of the wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His garment and on His thigh written the name, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. At His appearing every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that JESUS IS LORD!

Return to the source of your existence! Return To The Source Of Your Life!

Be Strong In The Lord, In The Power Of His Might! Conclusion by Myra Boozer

(for part 1 see 11/28/23)

The siren sounded the guards shouted, “Get to work!” Thousands of women prisoners were running to their places. Tiny disappeared. Only Corrie was left standing in her place. She did not know what fate awaited her. She did know however that God never slumbers or sleeps. She thought she could hear the singing of the angels. Then she heard her name called. Was it death? Oh, thank God, no! It was life. She was being released. She later learned it was through an administrative blunder but she knew it was not the end of an era. It was just the beginning. Ahead of her was the world. Later as she stood in the prison yard waiting the final order, a fellow prisoner whispered, “Tiny died this morning.” The next week all the women Corrie's age were ordered to be killed.

I told you all of that to tell you this. Today the Preacher said we must get tough! We will not be able to stand against what is coming on this world, especially against Christians. If you get upset over little things and want to give up, you will not make it in the days ahead. This was an outstanding, timely message. The scripture text was from Jeremiah 12:5, “If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?” We must get strong in the Lord to make it when persecution comes on this world. The World has nothing to make you strong for the day that is coming. It must come from the Lord. He is our ONLY HOPE.

As many gathered in the altar and the Pastor prayed for each person, his wife was singing softly about the Hiding Place, the secret place for those who are in Christ Jesus. We had come full circle to the thoughts God gave me yesterday morning. “The Hiding Place” is the first book I read by Corrie Ten Boom. I believe God wants us to get stronger than what we are now. People who have suffered much are the strongest. Troubles and trials can make you or break you. Don't give up but press on knowing that Jesus never leaves you.…

Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”

Jesus Christ Is Our Only Hope! Conclusion

A people that rejects God will be given over to their own devises and suffer the consequences. The structure of the family has disintegrated because we have not followed God. The health of our churches is diminished and some have expired because we have not followed God. Every institution, every governing body at every level has depreciated in value and relevance because we have not followed God.

Is that what we want? Do we want to be abandoned by our Creator and go it all alone? I think not! So then, what are we to do? Moral fortitude and intellectual rhetoric can not address the plague of sin that has consumed mankind. The answer to our needs cannot be legislated, addressed by executive order or resolved by a ruling of the highest court in the land. None of these actions can put us back on course as the human race. But, there is Hope! That Hope is the Lord Jesus Christ!

The problems of our civilization are spiritual! The issues we face require supernatural intervention! Our only hope is the Lord Jesus! Let the Church call unto Him as never before. Petition Him in fervent prayer until we experience the moving of the Holy Ghost that will change our world as He did in the first century! Our future will be determined by what we do HERE and NOW! Jeremiah 33:2, “Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name; 3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

Father God, Lord God Almighty, Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Almighty Creator Jehovah, we come in the name of your only begotten Son, Jesus. Thank you for Providential guidance and revelation. Thank you for the Peace that passes all human understanding which is the experience of a right relationship with you. It is there that we take shelter from the raging storm of this world! Jesus Christ Is Our Only Hope!

Be Strong In The Lord, In The Power Of His Might! by Myra Boozer

(Note: this was written in 2018 and is just as relevant for today!)

It is just so amazing to me what I have on my mind when I awake most mornings. Some thoughts stay with me all day long. Saturday morning I was thinking of Corrie Ten Boom and what a spiritual hero she is to me. I thought of her sufferings and her great faith. I thought how strong she was and could I ever be that strong in the face of severe persecution (which we may face in the near future, as Christians).

As I went to the kitchen, Bill was asking if I wanted to get out of the house and go to "Yard Sales." That used to be a big part of my life. Not so much anymore. I have more than enough stuff already. Well, we went and very quickly I found a book that I had to have. The only one that interested me. It is Life Lessons from Corrie Ten Boom. The Lord set me up for that one.

As I was reading from the "Exclusive 3-in-1 Edition," of course being of my nature, I did not start at the front of the book. I opened it about three fourths of the way into it. Excerpts from the book, “It was a week after Betsie had died in Ravensbruck that I took my place in the ranks of women prisoners standing together in the icy cold of the early morning. ‘66730!’ That is my number, I said weakly as we took our place for roll call. ‘Ten Boom, Cornelia.’ That is my name. I thought how strange that they would call me by name when they always addressed us by number! ‘Come forward.’ We were falling in line for the roll call. Ten in a line, every hundredth woman, one step forward. My friends looked at me sadly. What does it mean? I asked inwardly. Punishment...freedom...the gas chamber...sent to another concentration camp?”

The rest is in my words. A young German girl shouted number 66730. Corrie stepped forward and was told where to stand. She was sent to the far right, away from the crowd where now she could feel the bitter cold wind whipping through her ragged prison dress. Another girl, young and frightened was sent to stand beside her. Roll call took 3 hours and they were almost frozen. Corrie asked through chattering teeth, "Why must I stand here?" The girl’s answer was barely audible as it came from her blue lips. "Death sentence."

Corrie turned to the Lord,"Perhaps I'll see You soon face to face like Betsie does now Lord. Let it not be too cruel a killing. Not gas Lord, nor hanging. I prefer shooting. It is so quick. You see something, you hear something and it is finished." Then as she looked at the girl, Corrie said, "Lord, this is perhaps the last chance I will have to bring someone to you before I arrive in heaven. Use me Lord. Give me all the love and wisdom I need. She then asked the girl her name. She said Tiny, and she had been there 2 years. Corrie asked her, “did you ever read the Bible?” Her answer was no, she did not. Corrie asked, "do you believe God exists?” She said she did and wished she knew more about him and asked Corrie if she knew Him? Corrie began to tell her. "Jesus is always with us" and about the miracle he did in taking all her hatred and bitterness for her enemies. Jesus is willing to bring into our hearts God's love through His Holy Spirit. Corrie said it was a miracle that she had a chance to explain many things about Jesus. "The prisoners behind us listened too. I felt happy. Perhaps this was my last chance in life, but what joy!" She accepted Jesus and Corrie told her, you now have a friend who never leaves you alone. (continued)

Jesus Christ Is Our Only Hope!

Matthew 7:24, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”

Evil and sin have come upon us as a mighty hurricane and are methodically destroying everything in it's path. Destruction howls like the wind, undermining the very foundation of all that we admire and trust. Evil lurches out at the family devouring the cohesiveness of love, trust and communication creating walls of isolation, unbelief, contempt and neutralizing the principles upon which our very existence is founded. Evil strikes at the heart of the governing bodies of our societies. Darkness has crept into our educational systems and infected every level of governance reaching to the seat of our national and international governments.

The education of our children will invariably affect our nation and ultimately the world. What we teach in our homes, churches, schools and universities will create the mindset for succeeding generations. The guiding principles of our forefathers are strategic and indispensable elements to the continued survival of this nation as we have known it. The ideals of love of God and country have sustained us in all conflict through out our history. If we allow the name of God to be maligned and degraded, we are setting the example for the next generation. If we allow the principles of personal freedom and liberty that this nation was founded upon to be diluted and discarded, we will pay the price in defeat and ruin. (continued)

Something To Think About! by Myra Boozer

If there were no God and no Bible filled with prophecy about the last days, what intelligent person would think that this world could last very long with all that is going on? When Nations are about to fall because of their economy and collapse because of debt...moral decline has hit BOTTOM...the earth is coming apart at the seams because of earthquakes and volcanoes...people are killing the innocent at an increasingly alarming rate...evil men have grown more and more corrupt in their deeds, hating and killing all over the world...disease and sickness are out of control.

What kind of future do you see? It is horrible, beyond horrible if time goes on! But for those who love God and have chosen to follow Him, He has made a way of ESCAPE. He is coming to take us out of this horrible and depraved atmosphere that has been created by ungodly men and women.

People have pushed God aside and want to create a new world with NO rules or standards of Godliness. It seems every day you hear more plans to confuse and turn our children and grands from the truth that God designed for us to follow and be as He created us to be. Every day sin is getting stronger in the hearts and minds of sinful man. Even if there were no God and no Bible...(WHICH THERE IS) this world could not go on the way it is going. Sin is like a cancer! It destroys!

The great news is that God spared not His only begotten Son but sent Him to earth to take the punishment for the sin of mankind. The ball is now in your court. You can choose to allow Him to forgive your sins and choose to follow Him or remain as you are and suffer the punishment of sin throughout eternity.

2 Corinthians 13:5, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" Something To Think About!
