Truth Will Prevail! by Myra Boozer

This is a prayer that I wrote earlier in the week , during my devotion time....
I want to hear you Lord.. I want to listen to your Word and also hear your voice..
The winds are blowing up a storm and I see on the horizon a new dilemma.. .. A time of trouble, a time of emergency for those who are not aware... for those not prepared.. For those who are busy and overtaken by their own plans and desires...
What do we do? They have ears to hear, but do not hear... and eyes to see, but do not see...
They are getting angry with those speaking about your Return... They are not interested in our words ! They have Big Plans to stay!
Sometimes I feel I am pulling back... I don't want to do that..
I pray you give me words...Lord my personality is getting in the way....I know when I'm not wanted.....
"Truth will PREVAIL..
Truth will stand STRONG, in the evil and corrupt day...
It will be VICTORIOUS ..
It will SING LOUD AND STRONG....
It will TRIUMPH...
No enemy is able to stand AGAINST Truth....
The WORD is TRUTH..
The WORD is GOD...
I am the Beginning and the End...
I have NO other PLAN...
I will SURVIVE !
Those who want to be on the winning side must come along with the PLAN I have laid down.. NO other plan, No other way!
FORSAKE all and FOLLOW ME.
BE INSTANT IN SEASON AND OUR OF SEASON...
CLOTHE yourself in RIGHTEOUSNESS..
RIGHT LIVING and BELIEVING will be the TICKET for the
SURVIVAL of MY BODY...
NO ONE can come to me except they come MY WAY..
I AM THE WAY...
TRUTH will PREVAIL... and the SON will shine after the STORM...
LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING, but LEAN ON ME,
FOR I AM THE STRONG AND MIGHTY ONE...
I AM HE THAT KEEPTH ISRAEL...I DO NOT SLEEP AND I AM NOT SLACK CONCERNING MY PROMISES TO YOU AND ALL WHO LOVE ME..
SEEK ME DAILY with all of your SOUL, MIND AND STRENGTH..
TRUST ME! STAY CLOSE AND BELIEVE THAT I AM HE WHO IS FROM THE BEGINNING ... I AM MIGHTY TO RESCUE AND SAVE ALL WHO CALL ON ME...".

The Nineveh Factor! part 3

We are told in the book of Jonah that the wickedness of this great city cried out for judgment. Jonah 1:1, “Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.” God said, “for their wickedness is come up before me.” Ellicott states, “the Hebrew implies especially evil-doing against others, that violence which in Jonah 3:8 is recognised by the Ninevites themselves as their characteristic sin.” Jonah 3:8, “But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.” This was the decree by the King of Nineveh thereby the people of Nineveh acknowledged their great sin and repented in sack cloth and ashes.

Gen. 2:17, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

Gen. 3:22, “ And the LORD God said , Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat , and live for ever:”

Gen. 6:5, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

Gen. 13:13, “But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.”

The same principle is illustrated in Genesis 4:10 in reference to Cain's murder of his brother, Abel. Genesis 4:10, “And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.” In the face of a righteous and holy God, this deed cried out for justice and justice being judgment. And again in Genesis 18:20 concerning the grievous, sinful and ungodly behavior of the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah. Genesis 18:20, “And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;” Such deeds of debauchery required the intervention and judgment of God. The same principle is applied to the crimes of Israel in Hosea 7:1-2, Hosea 8:13-14.

The word nefarious comes to mind as it is quite similar.

Nefarious (Adj.) not conforming to a high moral standard; morally unacceptable.
Related Words base, contemptible, despicable, dirty, disreputable, evil-minded, ignoble, ill, infernal, low, mean, snide, sordid; atrocious, cruel, infamous, nasty; blamable, blameworthy, censurable, objectionable, obscene, offensive, reprehensible; corrupt, debased, debauched, degenerate, depraved, dissolute, libertine, loose, low-minded, perverted, reprobate, scrofulous, sick, unhealthy; cursed (also curst), cussed, defiling, noxious, pernicious, pestilential, ugly, ungodly, unwholesome; banned, barred, condemned, discouraged, forbidden, illegal, interdicted, outlawed, prohibited, proscribed, unauthorized, unclean; disallowed; execrable, lousy, miserable, wretched; errant, erring, fallen, unprincipled, unscrupulous; improper, incorrect, indecent, indecorous, naughty, unbecoming, unseemly, vulgar; dishonest, dishonorable. (Merriam-Webster.com).

The connotation of this word describes the very essence of life in a disobedient and rebellious world. I truly believe that this is the way that God sees the hearts and conduct of fallen man.

The blood of 60 million aborted babies cry out from the ground for Justice just as the blood of righteous Abel. Their blood represents the innocent that have been taken by the evil powers of this world. The grievous, sinful and ungodly behavior of the nations of this world cries out for judgment just as the behavior of the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah.

It is noteworthy that the Word of the Lord to Nineveh was not against a person or group of people but against an entire nation. Nineveh was the seat of government for the Assyrian Empire. The issue before God was a system of wickedness which required repentance and change and it had to begin with the leadership at the highest level.

Conclusion:
The Nineveh Factor – Leadership/government is judged along with the people who have consented freely to such leadership/government. Repent and return to God!

The Elijah Moment – A nation is judged and along with the leadership is given the opportunity to repent! 1 Kings 18:21, “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” The Elijah moment is this: God was getting ready to administer His judgment upon this wicked government. He wanted Elijah to know that He still had large numbers who had not bowed to Baal. Elijah had a role in bringing God's plan to it's completion. He said go and anoint Hazael to be king over Syria, Jehu to be king over Israel and Elisha to be prophet in Elijah's place. 1 Kings 19:17-18. God uses whom He wills to bring about His plan! But we must have that Elijah moment!!! (see blog post titled “The Elijah Moment” - timefortheharvest.blogspot.com).

The Shaking – The Body of Christ is being purged all over the world. Only the true Christians will stand up and be counted for Christ. The popularity of Christianity has worn off. Only the blood bought who have been changed will have the spiritual fortitude to stand in the evil days ahead. It really doesn't matter the outcome of the election this fall (if there is an election). Who ever steps into the role as leader of this nation, will be a purging instrument for the Church in America. (see blog post titled “The Shaking” - timefortheharvest.blogspot.com)

Ra / nefarious – wickedness, evil – If God has held nations and empires accountable in centuries past, He will continue in the present. The decay of this nation is the result of decades of rebellion and disobedience. This nation has been weighed in the balances and found wanting. Judgment is here, even at the door. Repent and return to God.

The Nineveh Factor! part 2

Look at the writing of Jonah and the city of Nineveh in their historical setting. The book of Jonah is said to have been written about 760 B.C. which was just 38 years before Assyria conquered Israel’s Northern Kingdom. God instructed Jonah to carry His message of repentance to the city of Nineveh. God gave the Ninevites opportunity to determine their own destiny. Nineveh represented the seat of government for the Assyrian Empire which was Israel's most cruel and despised enemy. It is probable that Jonah was called to deliver God's message to Nineveh to purge Assyria before God used them to conquer Israel. Many who heard Jonah's message would still have been alive in 722 B.C. when Samaria, the capitol city of Israel, fell. The city of Nineveh was destroyed by the Medes and Babylonians between 625 and 612 B.C. Therefore, Nineveh's relevance to the ministry of Jonah and God's time table was during the 760 – 612 time frame (148 yrs.).

Why was the city of Nineveh so important to God at the time of Jonah's writing? It was part of the system of government for the Assyrian Empire. Therefore it was a portion of the governmental structure and the seat of government. The height of world power for Assyria was from 900 – 625 B.C. The area of Nineveh was used by Assyrian kings as their primary location to rule their territories. The Assyrians conquered many nations in the Middle East. Their method of control was to scatter the nations to different locations within their borders. God used the Assyrians to punish the Israelites for their sins and allowed them to force the northern tribes into exile.

What brought Israel to this point in their history? The Nation of Israel was known as the Northern Kingdom and consisted of the ten tribes excluding Judah and Benjamin. It remained for about 200 years until it was over thrown in 722 B.C. and assimilated into Assyrian Empire. Every king of Israel was evil which brought the impending judgment of God upon them. It could be said of each of Israel's kings, “And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin” 1 Kings 15:34.

The demise of the Northern Kingdom was secured in the fact that it was created in rebellion and its leaders continued to walk in rebellion until the end. Solomon's rein was concluded in disobedience and idolatry, 1 Kings 11. Solomon died in 931 B.C. Reoboam succeeded his father, Solomon. Jeroboam, although a valued leader under Solomon, consorted with the leadership of the ten tribes of Israel excluding Judah and Benjamin to create the Northern Kingdom.

It is important for the government of nations to know and submit to the leadership of God. History has taught us that those who don't will inevitably fail. King David tells us in Psalm 9:17, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” Although God used Assyria to discipline Israel, He also used Babylon to bring judgment on Assyria in their fall from world domination. We can see the cycle of world powers change to serve the will of God, the Ruler of the Universe. We can get a good picture of this from the image in Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel 2.
Head of Gold – Kingdom of Babylon
Chest and Arms of Silver – Kingdom of the Medes and Persians
Belly and Thighs of Bronze – Kingdom of Greece
Legs of Iron – Roman Empire
Feet of Iron and Clay – Restored Roman Empire
Crushing Stone – Kingdom of Jesus Christ

When God allowed the Assyrians to conquer Israel and harass Judah, they did so with great cruelty. They built their power base by killing, enslaving, torture and by having a flagrant disregard for human life. They engaged in pagan worship, sorcery, witchcraft and treated conquered people with extreme contempt. The acts of the Assyrian people ultimately brought God's judgment upon their heads. Although God had used them to punish Israel for the sin of idolatry, he judged them for doing the same thing. God is no respecter of persons, be sure that sin will bring its reward. When Nineveh was destroyed in 625-612B.C., the Assyrian power base went into decline and they never again rose to power.

The Nineveh Factor! part 1

Jonah 1:1, “Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.”

God's desire is that all men come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, repent of their sin, submit to God and be saved. This principle applies to all, even the great city of Nineveh full of disobedience and idolatry. God's message through Jonah was that if the people would heed the call to repentance, they would be saved.

Unrepentant sin demands the judgment of God. The judgment this world is experiencing is the result of sin. The world is reaping the seeds of sin that have been sown by past generations. This generation is reaping the sins of previous generations. How can that be so? The failure of past generations to hold themselves and their children accountable to the standard of God has brought us to where we are today. We are witnessing the results in government, in our public institutions and in society as a whole. But if people will heed the call to repentance, God will save by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

I believe there is a correlation between the pronounced judgment in the Book of Jonah and these last days. If we are to understand this connection, we must look at the historical data for both the city of Nineveh and the prophet Jonah. Evaluation of the historical setting is essential to understanding historical events and the people they affect. Our perception of history will invariably affect its value in the final analysis. Some people may think that history is just a list of random events strung together over time. Still others may suggest that history just happens without any specific order, reason or purpose. My conclusion is that life happens and history is created by the response of individuals and groups of people to life events. History is created by our human responses to life events. This thought is never more clear to me than when I read and study the Bible.

The Bible is not simply a record of random historical events strung together over time. But the Bible is the infallible, eternal Word of God. As such it is the intricate, priceless plan of God to lead and provide for His Creation. In every generation God has given mankind the choice to determine his own destiny. The journey would have been perfect had it not been for disobedience. Because of man's disobedience, history has recorded the diverse accounts of the rise and fall of people groups, nations and empires. Man's response to the eternal plan of God has determined his place in history.
