Prayer For Today! by Myra Boozer

Father God, send your Light that we may walk in it.

Send your Truth that we may proclaim it from the rooftop.

Send your Power that all may see your Glory.

Send your Love that we may be refreshed, renewed, and redeemed.

Send your Mercy that we may be rescued from the evil one.

Send your Holiness that we may we washed clean.

Send your Deliverance that we may go free.

Send your Freedom that all will rejoice and dance in the streets.

Send your Son that we may be taken away in the twinkling of an eye...to be where He is, forevermore...Amen!

"Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." Luke 1:78-79

God's Purpose And Your Future!

God’s purpose and our future is always secure in the obedience of the heart! Acts 27:41, “And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves...43 the centurion...commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: 44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.” God's process will run its course and in the end, His purpose and our future is secure in our obedience. How many times in our own lives have we survived on the broken pieces of our ship? The storms have been strong and the struggle bitter but we have stayed with God and our end is secured!

The sustaining factor in Paul's life was his relationship with Christ and the fact that he walked in God’s revelation and inspiration. Having an intellectual understanding of scripture can be an advantage. Passion and zeal have their place in the Gospel. And even our incomplete understanding of God's plan is a beginning that we can build upon. But the bottom line is that we must walk in the revelation of Jesus Christ if we are to experience His perfect plan for our lives. Just as Paul had his intimate encounter with Jesus, we must do the same! That is what sustained Paul and that is what will secure God’s purpose in us! God’s Purpose And Your Future!

Mercy And Truth Meet Together! by Myra Boozer

Psalm 85:10, “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.”

“Mercy and Truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other" is one of my favorite scriptures. You know, Truth is so strong and forceful it stands tall but without mercy it cannot make its way into the heart of man. They go hand in hand and that, my friend, is because of Jesus.

Righteousness (right living) is so hard for many of us. We try to do good and be acceptable in the eyes of God. We all come up short because our goodness is nothing. It is His power that dwells in us. That only comes because of Jesus and I say, "Teach me your ways O Lord." Pick me up and put me back on that straight path. When He does, it isn't always pleasant, but usually after tears of repentance “Peace will come so sweetly and Kiss Righteousness.” Peace can't be bought with money or bartered in any way. It only comes when we yield everything over to the Prince of Peace and fully rely on Him.

He is so worthy of our praise! I love you Lord! I treasure your presence which comes down like a dove when my heart is overwhelmed. When those in need come knocking on our door for help, we know who to call on. You are our very present help in time of need and people know that You dwell in this house, our Spiritual house and physical house. You are here with us. We acknowledge that it is by Your great power that we can help others. Lord, You can do what no other can do and your presence brings Mercy and Truth every time.

The Gospel Of Jesus Christ Is Your Answer!

2 Cor. 6:2, “...behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

The Message Bible states it this way, “Well, now is the right time to listen, the day to be helped.” The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer to the needs in every person’s life. All men need to hear and respond to the message of redemption and freedom in Christ. The message of Jesus Christ is the light of pure redemption shining forth in a world filled with darkness.

This is the Message of deliverance for all who will believe! All repented sin is forgiven in the Gospel! All human weakness is given strength in the Gospel! All chains of bondage are broken in the Gospel! All the poor receive the Good News in the Gospel! All broken hearts are healed in the Gospel! All the captives are delivered in the Gospel! All the blind receive their sight in the Gospel! All the bruised are given liberty in the Gospel! All the burdened and battered are set free in the Gospel! The Gospel is the Good News of the delivering power of Jesus Christ through His shed blood. Jesus became the sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. Through His sacrifice we are delivered from sin and sin’s punishment.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer to every need in our lives! He issues our invitation in Matt. 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

“Are you tired of chasing pretty rainbows? Are you tired of spinning round and round? Wrap up all the shattered dreams of your life, at the feet of Jesus lay them down. Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus, shattered dreams, wounded hearts, and broken toys. Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus, He will turn your sorrow into Joy.” The Gospel Of Jesus Christ Is Your Answer! www.youtube.com/watch?v=izYoI1oBdEg

Struggles Are Necessary! by Myra Boozer

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 41:31

I have been thinking about struggles lately, maybe because I have had a few. I came across this story and it helps put things into perspective. Maybe it will help someone else.

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.

The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that at any moment the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

SOMETIMES STRUGGLES ARE EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED IN OUR LIVES. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could be. We could never fly! Lord, help me to not doubt the path you have chosen for me because you are working ALL things for my good, even in the struggles.

This life is full of struggles but one Day, and it may not be that far away, we are going to hear that trumpet sound and our wings are gonna open wide, lifting us right off this earth to meet our Lord in the clouds. We will be so glad we endured whatever we had to endure to make us strong in the Lord. I'm gonna lift my hands til I reach Heaven...a sign of surrender to the Almighty One and also a sign of adoration to OUR KING. Struggles Are Necessary!

Seeking God's Face!

Do I want God’s blessings or do I want Him? I make the conscious decision here and now that I want Him! More than anything, I want my life to be governed by Him, totally! Am I willing to pay the price? What price? You mean there is a price, an investment on my part?

To have God govern our lives totally, we must abandon any and everything that resembles the old life of flesh. That means that my will is submitted in every sense to His will. That means He is living His life through me, not as a puppet but as a dedicated servant.

You mean I am to be a slave to God and that is the only way I am going to have Him? 1 Cor. 9:19, “For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.” The word translated here “servant” in the Greek text means “to make a slave of, reduce to bondage.” Paul was saying that he had become a slave to Christ. He simply meant that his life was consumed with obeying Jesus’ leading.

When we were in sin, we were servants to sin. We were made slaves under the bondage of sin. Sin controlled all thoughts and actions. We have put away sin and no longer serve sin. Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Therefore, we are no more slaves to sin but servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. Seeking God’s Face!

What Are You Trading Your Life For? by Myra Boozer

Matthew 13:44, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”

Just thinking about what is important to me, you know, what really matters? Some things just don't matter! Lately, every time I say it don't matter, Bill starts singing "It don't matter where you bury me." Well, me either but there are some things that really matter. What matters is not possessing many things of value but possessing the one thing of greatest value, the Kingdom of God!!! It's worth more than all the other things we could ever find.

What are you trading your life for? Day by day we usually spend our time doing what we want, working to pay bills, saving for a vacation, a new house, a new car, and on and on. But what really matters? When we come to the end of our life I don't want to find that I spent my life on "things." I don't want to find that what I traded for my life was "fool's gold," shiny, insubstantial, and ultimately worthless things. But I sought out the "pearl of great price" like the man in the parable of the treasure hidden in the field.

He knew what mattered! Do you? Whatever you have to give up to get the great treasure it will be so small compared to the treasure that is waiting on the other side. Seek ye first the kingdom, then these other things will be added. But, they will never be as important or take the place of the greatest treasure God has for you in His Kingdom...Matt. 13:44-52.

A Life Lived Well!

John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

When I come to the end of this life’s journey, what will await me? Will my life have been lived well or just be a life spent, consumed, exhausted, used up? Will I just be a worn-out specimen of human flesh or will I take on the eternal nature of Jesus Christ?

The choice of how we finish our life is left up to us! We choose eternity by how we choose to live each day of our lives. Are our thoughts and activities focused on our passion for Jesus or our passion for the things of this world?

The choice is ours! Let the love and passion of Jesus Christ capture your heart, soul, and mind. Walk with Him today and you will walk with Him in eternity. Oh, Give me Jesus! You can have all this world, just give me Jesus! Call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and be Saved!

No Bucket Needed! by Myra Boozer

Early one morning, I vaguely remember hearing a scripture go over in my mind. I didn't get up and read it but this was the scripture that came to me, John 4:11. Then, I questioned was it John 4:11 or John 11:4? Over breakfast l shared with my husband about both of the scripture and that I really didn't know which scripture it was. He said, “wow, they are so connected.” I agreed and accepted them both as nuggets of gold not giving one more value than the other but thinking of them as going hand in hand.

I saw myself in the first scripture as the woman at the well. She said, “Sir, (speaking in the carnal) thou hast nothing to draw with and the well is deep.” In other words, how are you going to do this? This sounds impossible and this well is deeper, further and harder to reach than what you are thinking. Lord I don't see how your going to do this.

This is where we are so many times in our thinking and in our praying! HOW IN THE WORLD WILL THIS COME TO BE? We are thinking in the flesh, not Spiritual minded, not thinking that He needs nothing...No help...No assistance...NO bucket to draw with because He IS THE LIVING WATER. He is ALL we need!

Then, the second scripture John 11:4 and back up to verse 3. The sisters said, “Lord behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.” When Jesus heard this he said, "THIS SICKNESS IS NOT UNTO DEATH, BUT FOR THE GLORY OF GOD, THAT THE SON OF GOD MIGHT BE GLORIFIED THEREBY."

It doesn’t matter where we are in our journey, sick, dying or in Lazarus case, dead! Jesus is the same! He is the LIFE! There is no problem too big, too difficult, too unreachable for Him. HE is the source of ALL we need. He doesn't have to use anything or anybody to perform what we need. Though he has and does use people to help us at different times, He doesn't have too! HE IS THE GREAT I AM...

Whatever your going through today or whatever your heart is trying to conceive from the Lord, KNOW that his arm is not too short that He can't reach you and fix whatever is wrong in your life! Whether it is for you or someone you love...No Bucket Needed!

Come See A Man!

John 4:3, “He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. 4 And he must needs go through Samaria. 5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.”

“He must needs go through Samaria.” Why did Jesus need to go through Samaria? He had a message for that city! It began with the woman at the well of Jacob and spread all over the city. When the word spread about the woman’s encounter with Jesus, many came to see for themselves. Her invitation was, John 4:29, “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? 30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.” Many more believed at the testimony of Jesus. John 4:42, “...Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.”

Oh, how we need Christ Jesus to be manifest in our lives and in our churches. Having heard of this woman’s encounter and subsequent revelation, the people of Samaria came to see for themselves. Their desire was to see this Jesus who had told her all things. We are meeting people daily and our churches are filled week after week with people who are searching for the answers to the needs in their lives. They need Jesus! They need to see Jesus in us and to see Him manifest in the everyday activity we are a part of!

God’s judgment is falling upon our world as a result of the sin and rebellion here. This judgment is creating a fertile field for the harvest of eternal souls. Jesus is coming soon! Therefore, He wants all who will hear His voice to get ready! He wants to reveal His delivering, healing and saving power to all who will embrace His Truth.

The woman of Samaria went to the well to draw water but her life was changed forever because she met Jesus there. Jesus is the answer to every need in our lives. Come See A Man who told me all things! Reach out to Him today! He is reaching out to YOU!

Stand Strong In The Word! by Myra Boozer

Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Are you standing against every argument that raises itself against the Word of God? Many are the imaginations and arguments that come into your mind, telling you all the negative, telling you just what Satan would have you to believe. You MUST stand against those arguments because God's Word is TRUTH. It is the compelling force behind everything that is pure and holy, righteous and true. It is your weapon to fight the enemy of your mind.

2 Corinthians 10:5, "Casting down imaginations, and EVERY high thing that exalteth itself against the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, and bringing into captivity EVERY thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to REVENGE all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled." Stand Strong In The Word!

God Is Lifting Up His Standard! Conclusion

(See 7/26/23 for part 1)

Difficulty has arisen because of a departure from the leadership of the Holy Spirit. How can we be led by Him if we are not first possessed by Him? How can we be possessed by Him unless we believe that He exists as the third person of the Godhead fulfilling Jesus' promise to be our comforter? John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” The promise of the Comforter was to provide an Advocate to lead and guide the Church as Christ's Advocate or on His behalf. The Holy Spirit is to lead the Church just as God lead Israel and Jesus led the New Testament Church.

The Hebrews writer tells us that if we are to please God we must first believe that He exists and secondly believe that He will reward us as we seek Him. Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Consequently, we must believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, co-existing and co-equal with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. Those who reject the Person and work of the Holy Spirit reject the whole of God's plan and that is the root of the confusion. When this basic scriptural truth is denied, every doctrine built upon that foundation is at risk of dilution or discarding altogether.

The doctrine of inclusion came into existence because religious leaders wanted to accommodate people. As public opinion has become increasing more liberal, societal pressure has expanded to include entire groups of people and lifestyles. Although the Word of God strongly condemns carnal, fleshly thought and lifestyles, the moral climate of our world demands that such behavior be accepted and embraced by the populace of the world including Christianity and the Church.

The Kingdom of God is a spiritual entity and as such has a spiritual administration. True, we all are mortal beings but God uses mortal beings in His Kingdom if they are subject to the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the work of the Holy Spirit must be embraced in submission and obedience. The tension comes in the conflict between the carnal leadership of man and the administration of the Holy Spirit. Religious leadership has succumbed to the collusion of ambition, greed and pride. Therefore the door is thrown open wide for governance by man and the Holy Spirit has been expelled. Hence our present dilemma.

God will set apart and identify the believers in His Kingdom. By the Holy Spirit, God is lifting His Standard and His obedient followers are flowing to it as the enemy comes in like a flood. The question today is, “Am I going to follow a religious movement or the Holy Spirit?” The answer to that question will determine our affiliation with a religious group or being a part of the Kingdom of God. And the answer to that question will determine our eternity. My prayer is that we will allow the Holy Spirit to open our ears to hear what He is saying in this late hour! God Is Lifting Up His Standard!

Never Regret! by Myra Boozer

Lord, may I never regret or begrudge the time I set aside for YOU...

My days are full to overflowing with so many task at hand...

I see them all coming at me like a dump truck...spilling them all over my world and calling out my name loud and clear...

Lord, may I never regret or begrudge the time I set aside for YOU...

This is a reality for all of us...the demands, the chores, the responsibilities, the duties that we feel are heaped upon us...

And many things we have chosen or allowed to come into our lives...they are not silent...they are forceful and strong...calling and screaming for our attention...

But I hear in the distance a voice. Lord, I feel your nudge. I feel your calling. I know your voice and I feel you pulling me aside to spend time with you. I must release my thoughts and plans and surrender to your will...

Lord, may I never regret or begrudge the time I set aside for YOU...

Lord, you break me and mold me and sometimes crush me into nothing to make me what I need to be. I am nothing until you form me and make me after your design. I must submit for I am stubborn and unyielding. I must trust that you know best when you bring me to tears and help me see how helpless and useless I really am...unable to do any of the task at hand without your healing touch and your strength to guide me.

Only you can give me the love and compassion that is needed to help my family and friends. Only you can give me courage to go on. Only you can bring my life into harmony and fill my days with hope. Only you, Lord, can do these things and you are usually the last option for many. FORGIVE US, LORD. MAY I NEVER REGRET OR BEGRUDGE THE TIME I SET ASIDE FOR YOU…

God Is Lifting Up His Standard!

In the Old Testament, a standard was the identifying colors of an army or kingdom. It was necessary to be able to identify allies and enemies. God's promise to Israel was that He would stand with them against His enemies. This is a necessary principle in our spiritual warfare today.

God will set apart (sanctify) and identify as His the believers in His Kingdom. How is that going to happen? It is happening at this present moment! God is, by His Spirit, lifting His Standard and His obedient followers are flowing to it, as the enemy comes in like a flood. We are currently living in the time Isaiah described in chapter 59. In verses 16-21, Isaiah writes by the inspiration of the Spirit of God concerning the last days restoration of the nation of Israel. God brought salvation at the first Advent of Christ but Israel rejected Him. At His second Advent or second coming He will judge His enemies and restore salvation to Israel.  The restoration of Israel is at hand. The deliverance of the Body of Christ is even at the door.

Isaiah 59:19, “...When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” The enemy has come in like a river over running its banks and causing great destruction and distress where ever it flows. The flood gates are open and just as Aaron and the priesthood were co-conspirators in the disobedience and idol worship of the Israelites at Sinai, the leadership in Christianity must share the responsibility for where we are today. The strong emphasis placed on the doctrine of inclusion in the religious world has lead to a departure from the faith which was delivered to the saints of the New Testament. This doctrine must be reversed in the churches.

Instead of inclusion, separation of the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world must be preached again from our pulpits. Although the gospel message is one of inclusion and is to all men, there always has been and always will be the Divine standard to be achieved. God’s holy standard can still be achieved in the heart of the submissive, obedient believer through the work of the Holy Spirit living within us. Jesus said that He (Holy Spirit) will lead and guide into all truth. John 16:13, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” The Truth is the standard but can not be achieved apart from the indwelling of the Holy Ghost in the heart of the professing Christian. Your Unfailing Love! by Myra Boozer

Jesus, help us to know you better and know your unfailing love. I ask that you show us what real love is all about. We are needy people with a misunderstanding many times of how much YOU love us. Teach us about your agape love which covers all people. You love the high, the low, the rich, the poor. Your LOVE is like a river that flows freely for one and all. You see us all the same, a people in need of a Savior.

Lord, you've created each of us with a plan, a purpose for our life and not to live an isolated life with no one with whom to share this love you have GIVEN. Lord, your love is not about caring and then forgetting. It is pure, holy, full of mercy, and EVERLASTING.

When we come under your umbrella of authority, we come into your Kingdom and accept your Lordship. When we cast off the earthly, carnal thinking and resign all our cares to You, You become the force within us to love as You love. You open our eyes to see the hurt and confusion in the hearts of mankind.

“All souls are mine,” is what you said in your Word. We are to care for one and all, not just the tender and gentle but also the cold and harsh. They need to know you and you want us to love them as you love them. Help us to break down the walls of separation, walls that create solitude and loneliness, the place where lies grow and deception controls, a place of absolute misery and spiritual death without your REDEMPTION.

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us we ought also to love one another," 1 John 4:10-11.

Lord, I want to sink deep into the truth you have for me today. Nothing should be as important as what you are saying to my heart. Cause me to desire to be filled with your love and mercy. May my actions show those around me your character. Lord, touch my heart with your compassion. Touch my eyes to see their needs, my ears to hear their cries, my hands to offer a healing touch, and my lips to speak your words of LIFE.

Prepare our hearts dear Lord, for out of them will flow the most BEAUTIFUL LOVE that we can imagine, love that will cause us to pray for one another. We are FAMILY because you are our Father and we are experiencing Your Unfailing Love!

The Light Of Pure Redemption!

Isaiah 59:1, “Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:”

The condition of our world is not God’s fault! Sin has separated mankind from God but it’s not God’s fault! Man has chosen to walk in the path of sin rather than heed God’s counsel and correction.

In Isaiah 59, Isaiah gives a litany of sins for which Israel needs a redeemer. He observes that judgment, justice, and truth are qualities absent from the life of Israel. Because there was no qualified mediator, God would provide salvation through the coming kinsman Redeemer. This salvation is in Jesus Christ whom they rejected at the First Advent. But God promises that He will forgive their sins and restore them in covenant relationship in the end. Isaiah 59:20, “And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. 21As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.”

The promise of the kinsman Redeemer “and unto them that turn from transgression,” is a provision of the covenant but will be implemented through repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as the Messiah. That will happen to a remnant of Israel in the end.

The call of God to all humanity is to repent and return to God in covenant relationship through Jesus Christ. Any people who expect the favor and covering of God must approach Him in repentance and follow in obedience. One of God's greatest judgments against Israel was their failure to uphold “truth and justice.” That principle is just as relevant to our world today. If God brought the leadership of Israel to judgment because of their lack of truth and justice, He will do the same for every generation.

We must have the intervention of God in these last days. Let all men in every place fall prostrate before Him, casting all care upon Him, and receive His light of pure redemption. And let His perfect light be exercised through me. Jesus Christ alone is the remedy for ALL our sin and The Light Of Pure Redemption! youtube.com/watch?v=eYefLBtqQyQ

Your Light! by Myra Boozer

YOUR LIGHT...

Lord, I get lost without your light shining on my path.

I find I am alone and hopeless, fearful and afraid.

Your Light reveals my great need for you.

It warms my heart and fills my soul.

It opens my eyes and helps me see clearly.

It captures my interest and floods my mind.

It settles all my concerns and comforts my anxiety.

It rolls my cares right off my back.

It thrills my heart and causes me to rejoice.

It opens my mouth to sing your praise.

It drives me onward to face the new day

with peace, hope, and love.

So I mount up, as with eagles wings...

And I soar, Yes I Soar... Because of your great Light!

“The LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall

I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom

shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

Allow His Light to invade your world. He will change

your heart and bring HOPE into your circumstance...

Making your deepest and darkest days to be filled with

the Light of His Resurrection Power...Revealing His

abundant love for you and your family...

There is a Light that forever shines...That Light brings

deliverance from all the darkness and sets you in a

position of high ascent...

You are no longer a slave to sin but adopted into

The Royal Family of God...forever and ever. Amen!

Choose Eternal Life!

John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

Life just happens! But, serving Jesus Christ requires deliberate action from us. Life will go on all around you and you don’t have to do a thing. You can sit and watch the sun rise and set, and not lift a finger to do anything but life will still go on. Babies are born and death takes others away but life goes on. Some people are thrilled to the heavens about life and others are depressed enough to die but life goes on.

Whether we choose to participate in life or not, life will continue to move forward, moving us into our future and our eternity. But, it does matter the choices each individual makes regarding their life. It is so important that we choose eternal life in Jesus Christ and take deliberate action to serve Him. Believe on Him as your Savior and move into your promised future.

Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Take advantage of the opportunities God gives you today to ensure that your eternity includes Him! Choose Eternal Life!

A New Day Dawning For The Children Of God! by Myra Boozer

Romans 8:22, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”

The labor pains have begun. We will give birth by The Spirit, just as Mary did. Travail is coming but so is Joy. Psalm 30:5, “Sorrow may last for the night but joy comes in the morning.” As our world is in great transition for its new world order so are we, the Body of Christ, doing away with the old dead rituals bringing in the New Life in the Spirit.

There has always been a counterfeit for what God is doing and it's no different in these Last Days. Satan is working overtime with his evil and his ploy to destroy mankind with his “False Security” of a new world order and a new life.

Satan offers you freedom “to” sin. Dark and Corrupt sin is what's for sale at the" Table" of this new world order, utter darkness, no life, and no hope. Millions are falling for this rainbow colored gift being offered at the “hands of this regime” of the Evil One. Blood is dripping from their hands. They have no shame, no regrets, no regard for “life” and decency, no regard for the “living.” The innocent are a revelation to them of who they really are. They feel they must destroy them (the innocents) to get rid of the holy and just (Christians) just as they could not regard Jesus and sought to kill Him from the time of His birth. But, the Father, God had a plan for His Son.

God has a plan for the Bride of Christ also. For She with Christ will bring in the “Real” New World Order as She offers Hope, Life, Joy, and Peace at “The Table of Forgiveness.”

Which are you buying today? You still have a choice to receive Truth or the counterfeit. Time is running out! Submit to the one who offers Real Life, not just the facade or picture of life but True Life where no evil abounds, where all is pure, holy, and righteous.

You may say, "I'm not choosing!” You are choosing! Jesus gave the command to his brother from the cross. John 19:27, “Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.” The job for him was to behold their mother who represents all that’s innocent, pure, and holy. Jesus is our elder brother. He has given us the same command to care and to behold those who have fallen under the burdens of this life, overcome by the taskmaster of Sin who seems to have taken charge. But, not so! We need to behold them and tell them the “Real” New World Order is coming through Jesus Christ. Be ready for in such an hour as you think not, the Son of Man will come in righteousness to finish what His Father sent Him to do. His Righteous Kingdom will rule and the false will go down and be destroyed in outer darkness.

The Future For All Men That Forget God!

Psalm 9:17, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

Today my heart is troubled by the state of our nation and the world. The leaders of our world sit high and mighty upon their thrones and dictate their carnal, immoral decrees as though they rule in absolute power, brandishing contempt and disdain for the oracles of God and the righteousness of His Law. They rule with impunity without regard for the fact that the Creator and Ruler of the universe has allowed them to rise to the prominence of their position. He gives them the very air they breathe and the life that possesses their mortal bodies.

What these immoral leaders fail to realize is that every word and act of mortal man will be brought into judgment. All men, both great and small will give an account of his life's work when we stand before the Judge of all judges. They fail to realize that the God of all creation has a threshold of Grace and Mercy, a line in the sand if you will. A time in which His Grace and Mercy will proceed no further and Judgment takes their place. We see the pattern repeated time and time again throughout the Bible.

One such example comes bolting from the pages of scripture in Daniel 5. Belshazzar, the king of Babylon, ordered a great feast to impress a great company of his lords. Caught up in the celebration of his own vanity, he commanded that his subjects bring the golden and silver vessels that his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the House of God in Jerusalem. Daniel 5:3, “Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them. 4They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. 5In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. 6Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.”

It was Daniel's lot to interpret the message and deliver God's decree. You see, it is God's decree that reigns sovereign and will stand with us in judgment. Daniel chastised the king for his gross indifference to the Holy Vessels of the Lord's worship and service. Daniel 5:23, “But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified: 24Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written. 25And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. 26This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. 27TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. 28PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians. 29Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. 30In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain. 31And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.”

The action of the king was blatant sacrilege. Belshazzar had seen the favor of God upon his father Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom when he recognized and submitted to the God of Daniel. However, Belshazzar's gross indifference to all things pertaining to the Lord God of Life and Creation became his undoing. Belshazzar crossed the threshold of God's Grace and Mercy. God's judgment awaited him on the other side.

We observe the same attitudes and actions in the societies of our nation and world today. The trend is to call the bad things good and the good things bad. Our world is no different than King Belshazzar in Daniel's day. The attitudes and actions that demand our acceptance are blatant sacrilege and an affront to all things that God calls good. The hand of God is writing on the wall. His warning is being given. Immoral leadership and immoral living are weighed in God's Balance of Holiness and found lacking. Be it known by all mortal men that sin and rebellion will be brought into judgment. God's Grace and Mercy will turn to Judgment. The ONLY solution is to repent and return to fellowship with Jehovah God!

Good News! by Myra Boozer

Singing the old songs and hymns can really make one homesick for Heaven and for our loved ones who are already there. Listening to these songs carries one into a place where the heart swells with love for our Lord Jesus. He is the one who has done so much for all of us...not just a few, a specific people, or a particular nationality...BUT FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE! That includes YOU...

He gave His all for YOU, whoever you are! If you're feeling lonely, forsaken, lost, and hopeless, I have good news for you. You are not forgotten! Jesus knows you by name! He desires to forgive you and heal your broken heart. He wants a relationship with you like no one you have ever known. He will be your constant companion and friend, your provider, your confidant, and your Savior. He will carry you through this life and take you to His Home when this life is over.

Just look up and give yourself in total surrender to Him. He sees every tear you cry and He knows just how you feel. You see, He too is forsaken and forgotten by so many today. Many who have in the past called Him Lord and Master have fallen into the trap of Satan. They have fallen for his lies and tried to make it without God. They are now bruised and battered by Satan. They were blinded by his influence as they were drawn away by their own lust. Some who were reaching for a higher level of fame and fortune have only fallen deeper and deeper into Satan's scheme of destruction. They are almost destroyed by this enemy, feeling rejected and hopeless.

GOOD NEWS! It isn't too late because He still knows you by name. He knows your MOTHER’S NAME AND YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S NAME. HE REMEMBERS THOSE WHO PRAYED MANY PRAYERS FOR THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN and He is answering those prayers. He also knows those who had no one to pray for them. He knows where you are and HE is there with you as you read this. Fall into His arms of Mercy! It's not too late but the time to seek Him is when He is calling. If you feel Him speaking to YOUR heart, Don't delay! Answer, Yes Lord! If you don't feel HIM, Cry out until you feel Him! "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit..." Psalm 34:18. That is the Good News!

What Do We Do When Confronted By The Enemy?

1 Samuel 17:40, “And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine...45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand;...”

What is the significance of the smooth stones that David chose? The smooth stones were more aerodynamic. They would fly straight. David knew this not because he had studied physics at the University of Jerusalem. He knew this through his own practical experience with a slingshot. This was a tried and true weapon in the hands of a proficient champion. David used what he had in his hands. He used what he knew best, his faith in the Lord God of Israel and his slingshot. The combination of the two was a sure formula for victory.

What do we do when confronted by the enemy? Much like the armies of Israel when confronted by the Philistines and their champion, we stand motionless in fear at the very prospect of defeat. Thoughts of doubt and uncertainty flood our minds and cause us to lose heart. In our minds we are defeated already! And if that is our mind set, then we are defeated before we even engage the enemy. Let us be reminded of who we represent. We enter the plain of battle in the name of the same Lord God Jehovah that David represented. We have the same resources! Use what is in your hand and trust God!

God sent young David to the battlefield that day because He needed a champion and He had chosen David. He didn’t choose someone who would be measured as a warrior. The king’s armor would not fit this ruddy young lad but nevertheless, he was God’s champion. He left the field that day with a resounding victory because he gave himself into the hands of God.

The Body of Christ is facing its own spiritual giants. At the same time the Holy Spirit is raising up God’s Champions to render the enemy helpless and deliver a resounding victory. We know how this will end. God will be the victor! But are we willing to answer God’s call and become His Champion for His cause. David used what was familiar to him, his faith in God and his slingshot. He became a willing participant in God’s cause. Will you give yourself without reservation into the hands of God and become a willing participant in His cause.

Remember the One we represent! We are covered by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is POWER in the NAME of JESUS! He will vanquish every foe and cause us to triumph over every evil plan of the enemy.  Give yourself wholly into His hands and become His CHAMPION? Thanks be to God who gives us the VICTORY today and forever through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Thy Kingdom Come! by Myra Boozer

Mark 1:15 “...The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

I would love to feed all the hungry...wrap my arms around the broken and mend them. I would love to wipe the tears from all the lonely and crushed...mend the bruised and battered...release those who are in bondage by the enemy...set the captives free...hold all the babies that are unwanted...care for all the elderly who are forsaken...heal every sickness and diseased person on the face of the earth...stop every evil and depraved thought that enters the mind of the youth...I would guard them from all evil. I would mend every marriage and bring every family into unity with God...strengthen every person who shares the Word of God and give them HOPE of many souls being saved, delivered and set free. I would love to do all this! I am limited but JESUS is NOT! I can share JESUS and He can do this for all who will REPENT and BELIEVE!

I WOULD SHUT THE MOUTH OF THE LIONS THAT ARE TRYING TO DEVOUR ALL WHO ARE GOOD AND RIGHTEOUS...I WOULD STOP ALL THE LIES AND CORRUPTION OF THE EVIL AND EGOTISTIC WHO ARE HUNGRY FOR STATUS IN THIS WORLD...I WOULD BIND EVERY EVIL SPIRIT THAT RAISES ITS UGLY HEAD AGAINST HUMANITY...I WOULD SHUT DOWN ALL THE PLACES THAT OFFER ENTICEMENT TO THOSE WHO ARE WEAK AND UNSTABLE...I WOULD STOP MURDER, HATE, AND EVERY ABOMINATION...I WOULD STOP ALL FALSE TEACHINGS AND DOCTRINES OF DEVILS...I WOULD BRING ABOUT A NEW WORLD WHERE THE LAMB WILL LAY DOWN WITH THE LION...I AM LIMITED! BUT, JESUS IS NOT! JESUS WILL DO ALL THIS WHEN HE COMES RIDING ON HIS WHITE HORSE WITH FIRE IN HIS EYES, WEARING MANY CROWNS...HIS NAME IS CALLED THE WORD OF GOD...HE SHALL RULE WITH A ROD OF IRON. HE WILL PUT EVERY THING IN ITS PROPER PLACE...We are getting closer and closer to that DAY! Lord Jesus, Thy Kingdom Come!

Thy Will Be Done In Earth As In Heaven!

Matthew 6:10-13, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven...thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever...”

The followers of Jesus expected Him to set up a literal ruling government at which time He would rule from the throne of David in Jerusalem. As we know, that has not happened yet! Christ pointed to a yet future time when that will actually take place and His will is accomplished in earth as it is in heaven.

Paul wrote to the Church at Corinth reminding them that “...the fashion of this world passeth away,” 1 Cor. 7:31. He was speaking concerning temporal attachments and being held captive by them. Though they are good in themselves we are not to be constrained by them. We need to be free from any and all encumbrances that would restrain us from hearing and being obedient to the voice of Christ. Let us always follow the Lord Jesus closely, not to be guilty of following afar off. Our conformity to Him will be our sustaining power when all else has failed. The outward form of this world and everything in it will pass away.

Heb. 12:26, “...Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.” The words “Yet once more,” point to the final change which will initiate the removal of all that can pass away. The removing of created things that the things not shaken can remain...that is the Kingdom in us, not anything of material creation. It is to that end that Christ is preparing His Covenanted people for His return and when He will literally establish His Kingdom in the earth. Thy Will Be Done In Earth As In Heaven!

Time To Look Up! by Myra Boozer

Just thinking how Satan works to paint a picture of horrible, no win situations in the lives of those who may be going thru a dry valley. A place where you are thirsty for a drink of spiritual waters, a place where you seem to be all alone and no one seems to have time to give you an encouraging word...a time when the wall just won't come down and the Lord seems to withhold the ladder for you to climb over and then with everything else it's time to pay those bills and the money is low...the tears seem to flow and the heart breaks. But, you find that the Lord is standing in front of you holding out His hands to you...wanting to lift you from the valley and sit you on the mountain of Hope where the sun is shinning and the birds are singing the song of deliverance.

It is up to you, after you pour out your heart and rid your self of all the doubt and the fear, reach up to the One who can change that picture and give you the best drink of water you have ever had. Tear down those walls and open those doors that have been closed. This is for you if you are looking down instead of looking up. God loves you...love Him back and watch things began to change. Time To Look Up!

Let Jesus Take Control!

1 John 3:1, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”

We will face trials and testing in the days ahead! But, we have a companion who walks with us to provide for every need. Jesus will make a way through every difficult experience. 1 Cor. 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” We will not face any trial or test that is not been experienced by other human beings. The testing is the same for all, just different faces with the determining factor for victory being the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ in one’s life.

The challenge many of us face today is allowing Jesus Christ to fully control our lives. It is a struggle for us to relinquish our independence and allow Him to lead the way. However, He is immensely more qualified than we are to determine the correct path. He knows the way that we should go. Our heart cry should be to go where He is going. Therefore, we must submit to His leading to go along with Him.

Come To Me! by Myra Boozer

“COME TO ME when you are hurting and I will soothe your pain. Come to Me when you are joyful, and I will share your Joy multiplying it many times over," from “Jesus Calling.”

If the things that bring us joy are things that are acceptable in the sight of the Lord, it is so easy to share them with Him. But, on the other hand if we are taking pleasure from the things of this world, things that His word says not to partake of, then we cannot share those with Him. That is where we come up short. Because, His Word says "The Joy of the Lord is my STRENGTH," Neh. 8:10.

Are you Spiritually weak today? Check to see if you have been taking pleasure in the WRONG things. That could be your answer, especially, if you are seeking to be closer to the Lord and wanting to enjoy your life in Him. He has a plan and it works!

Matt. 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Be Still And See The Salvation Of God!

Exodus 4:13, “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”

“Lord Jesus Christ, I want to be still and hear Your Voice. Open our ears to hear Your Message for today. Bring forth in us Your Purpose and Will. Send Your Power to explode in the lives of those who will believe, sending forth the fragments of Your Glory penetrating the most formidable obstructions that Satan has built. Invade the darkness with the light of Your Presence, sending out disintegrating beams of Your Deliverance. As the rays of the sun warm and revive creation in the spring, may the rejuvenating Power of Your Love and Mercy call to life the sedentary soul. We pray this in the Name of Jesus, Amen!”

Signs Of The Times! by Myra Boozer

One of the greatest signs we have in this day concerning the End Times is the evil and corrupt spirit that prevails in our world. It is so unified in setting up this new world order. An order without decency, truth and justice. One filled with deceit and hypocrisy. Closer to the end it will be where only those who deny God and His ways will be accepted by this world system.

This system is being fueled by selfish individuals who want nothing to do with Truth or Righteousness. They are all about controlling and promoting what they think is acceptable. They want to make all the calls and say what is offensive to them. They don't want any part of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit or any person who professes Christ.

They don't want to retain God in their minds. So as a Christian, just your existence reminds them of who THEY actually are. They are made aware that God IS, and they will be judged unholy and unrighteous in His sight because of their choices unless they REPENT.

“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin," Isaiah 30:1.

Jesus wants to be their Savior today. But He will definitely be their Judge one day. I Samuel 15:23, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry." God have Mercy on this world. Truly, Signs Of The Times!

To The Pulling Down Of Strongholds!

2 Cor. 10:3, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

We are engaged in a great spiritual conflict! Fleshly or earthly instruments of war have no value in this conflict. The weapons of our warfare are spiritual and mighty through God for the destruction of Satanic strongholds.  We are empowered by the shed blood of Jesus Christ to engage and defeat the enemy of all souls, Satan. All souls belong to God. Jesus has purchased all who will come to Him and receive His deliverance. God declares in Ezekiel 18:4, “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine:” Somebody must deliver this message of Christ's deliverance. We must not delay our assignment to engage and defeat the enemy! We must not be negligent in this solemn mission!

We cannot win this spiritual conflict in our flesh! We already know that! Our carnal man has failed us and we cannot defeat Satan in our flesh. The weapons of this warfare must come from a higher plane. We must be empowered and instructed by the Lord God Almighty.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;” Paul declares that our “weapons” are not in the flesh but “mighty” in the Spirit of God so that we may participate with Him in the destruction of the “strongholds” of Satan. This is a military phrase for the capture and destruction of fortresses. Ellicott states that Paul “speaks as if leading an attack on the strong defenses of the powers of evil...” Paul knew that His task was much larger than what he could perform. He knew that the Body of Christ would need the power of the Holy Spirit. He (Holy Spirit) will exercise His power to destroy the strongholds of Satan.

The 1st Century Church was not successful in their mission by human power and authority. These Disciples of Christ did not rely on human wisdom or eloquence. Their source of power and strength was solely in Jesus Christ. God’s plan has not changed. The source of our power and strength must rest solely in Jesus Christ. And when it does, the fortresses of Satan will fall powerless in the presence of Almighty God! Bring it, Lord bring it! Help us all to die to everything that does not begin and end in You! To The Pulling Down Of Strongholds!

Lion Of Judah, Roar! by Myra Boozer

Joel 3:16, "The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heaven and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel."

Lion of Judah roar against our enemies...

Those who rise up against righteousness…

The enemies who raise their ugly heads against your people, God...Those who mock and scorn the Name of Jesus...Those who continue to call good evil and evil good.

Roar with a great sound that every enemy will tremble and fall on their face in repentance.

Roar against the addictions of drugs, alcohol and sex.

Roar against cancer that has no respect of person, young or old, rich or poor.

Roar against this world of deception and lies that many of the youth are falling for.

Roar against the parents who neglect and abuse their precious babies and children.

Roar against sexual sins, all of them, including adultery, fornication, homosexuality, pornography, sex trade, prostitution and pedophilia.

Roar Lord, in the face of the cold hearted employers who put unfair expectations on their employees.

Roar against those who declare that abortion should be acceptable and legal, saying that the babies they carry inside their bodies have no value.

Roar Lord, against the evil that has risen up to take the lives of our school children.

Roar Lord, against the preacher who no longer preaches the Truth to his congregation.

Roar against those who take possession of things that do not belong to them.

Roar against those leaders of our country who promote and partake in sinful deeds in any measure.

Roar against the people who bear your Name and live ungodly lives.

Roar against those who have made covenant in marriage and are unfaithful to their spouse...Lion Of Judah! Roar!

(Taken partially from TSC Prayer Service)

Sound The Alarm!

Joel 2:1, "Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand."

Everywhere I look I see the hand of God's impending judgment upon our world. Wars, tyranny, civil unrest, spiritual discontent, oppression, death, disease, starvation, helplessness, hopelessness and on we go. Jesus said it would be this way. He told His disciples in Matt. 24 that there would be wars and rumors of more wars. He said there would be famines, pestilence, earthquakes but these things are only the beginning of sorrow. The worst is yet to come.

The call of Joel 2:1 is to awaken the people of Judah to the judgment of God hanging over their head. God sought through Joel to correct their Godless living and return them in repentance to Jehovah. Joel sees the plague of the drought and locusts as judgment for the sins of Judah. He makes a direct correlation between sin and judgment.

We know according to history that Jerusalem was destroyed along with the Temple of Solomon, the land was laid waste and the people carried away to Babylon in 587 BC by King Nebuchadnezzar. Judah suffered in captivity because of their unwillingness to heed the voice of God and return in repentance to Jehovah.

How can people believe that they can live anyway they choose and not reap the consequences of their choices? God created man higher that any other creature and gave us the unique quality of freedom of choice. However, we all must understand that there are consequences attached to each and every choice that we make.

So then, what is the answer to the present human condition? What shall we do in the face of overwhelming judgment. Repentance and restitution is the answer to the world’s fallen state. And like a watchman upon the wall we are mandated to sound the alarm that judgment is coming. People, God's most precious creation, must be made aware that sin has consequences. Romans 6:23 tells us, "For the wages of sin is death..." We will reap what we sow. "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting," Gal. 6:7-8. If we sow righteous deeds we will reap a righteous reward. If we sow sinful deeds we will reap a sinners reward.

We Shall Be Like Him! by Myra Boozer

James 3:13-18 talks about wisdom...earthly wisdom and also wisdom from above (from God). He stated that it is pure...peaceable...gentle...easily entreated...reasonable...full of mercy and good fruits...merciful...without partiality...steadfast...without hypocrisy...sincere.

Wisdom's consequences are "the fruit of righteousness." Purity is the first characteristic and James underscores its priority. Originally it meant freedom from ceremonial defilement, then came to include much more than that. It is used of the purity of God Himself! “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure,” I John 2-3.

In the context of the discussion it implies freedom from anything that would contaminate or soil one's integrity. I found a great illustration for this meaning. There lives, in the forests of northern Europe and Asia, a little animal called the “ermine.” It is known for its snow-white fur, the most beautiful fur in the world. In some countries the state robes of judges are lined with it as emblematic of purity and honor. Ladies of means prize coats for their beauty and warmth. The “ermine,” it seems, takes a peculiar pride in its white coat and goes to great lengths to avoid soiling it. It is said that some fur hunters have taken advantage of this fact to capture the “ermine.” Instead of setting a trap they find its home, a cleft in the rock or a hollow tree and daub the entrance with FILTH. Then the dogs start the chase. Sounds like our day!!!

Frightened, the “ermine” flees to its home, its place of refuge. Finding it daubed with uncleanness, rather than soil its pure white coat it faces the yelping dogs and is captured by the hunters preserving the purity of its fur at the price of its life.

The “ermine” is right: purity is more precious than life (this life). "...The wisdom that is from above is first pure..,” James 3:17. With all the evil and corruption in our world, I pray that we will be like the little “ermine” and remember that staying pure is more precious and valuable than our own life. Jesus is coming for a Bride that has no spots or blemishes in her wedding gown...pure and white...unspotted by this world's filthy sin…"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure." We Shall Be Like Him!

Worship The Lord In The Beauty Of Holiness!

Psalm 29:2, “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

God requires that we come before Him in holiness. If we are to enter into His presence, we will do so under the covering of Holiness. The Psalmist said it best, if we are to give God the glory that is due Him, if we are to truly worship Him we will do so in His holiness. Holiness is an indispensable element of our relationship with God. Hebrews 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:”

Our Hope Is Jesus! by Myra Boozer

Just thinking how Satan works to paint a picture of a horrible, no win situation in the lives of those who may be going thru a dry valley...a place where you are thirsty for a drink of spiritual water...a place where you seem to be all alone and no one seems to have time to give you an encouraging word...a time when the wall just won't come down and the Lord seems to withhold the ladder for you to climb over. And then, with everything else it's time to pay those bills and the money is low...the tears seem to flow and the heart breaks but you find that the Lord is standing in front of you holding out His hands to you...wanting to lift you from the valley and sit you on the mountain of Hope where the sun is shining and the birds are singing the song of deliverance.

It is up to you...after you pour out your heart and rid yourself of all doubt and fears...reach up to the ONE who can change that picture and give you the best drink of water you have ever had. He will tear down those walls and open doors that have been closed. His promise is for you! If you are looking down instead of looking up, God loves you...love Him back and watch things began to change. Our Hope Is Jesus! www.youtube.com/watch?v=izYoI1oBdEg

Let There Be Hope!

1 Cor. 15:19, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.”

We live in troubling times if all you see is this present conflict. Paul said, "if in this life only I have hope, I am of all men most miserable." We must have hope beyond what we see. And we do have hope if we have put our faith in Jesus Christ. The child of God has nothing to fear! Actually we should be excited that last days prophecies are being fulfilled and that "Jesus is coming soon..."

In the midst of all the turmoil everywhere, let us be thankful that Jesus has provided an escape. My prayer is that we will reflect the glory of God is such a fashion that the unbelieving will see Christ and make that decision to follow Him. May the presence of the Holy Spirit be with you in every place as you exemplify the “Hope” we have in Jesus Christ!

Full Of Mercy! by Myra Boozer

Psalm 100:5, “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

MERCY is something we all want from God and from others! Mercy is a disposition to forgive or be kind. It is another Godly characteristic that is often lacking in worldly wisdom. But James 3:17 says that the wisdom from above is FULL of mercy, abundant in mercy. We know that mercy originates with God. Ephesians 2:4, "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)"

I have noticed when the Holy Spirit gives a message to the Church, He is always telling us of His love for us. My thoughts are, not because we deserve His love but because He is rich in mercy. Think about how much mercy is shown in His provision for salvation and in our daily lives. Hebrews 4:16 tells us "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." We all have needs on a regular basis, some days more than others.

Matthew 5 gives us the Beatitudes spoken by Jesus from the Sermon on the Mount. The fifth one is "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy." James 3:17, "The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace."

We can do a self exam by checking our attitude, our character and our contentment. Although, I would say we could get thrown off because of this fact...Proverbs 21:2, " Every man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." So we must open ourselves to the Lord. "SEARCH me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there by any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting," Psalm 139:23-24.

Will You Make A Difference?

Luke 1:76, “And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, 78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Zechariah prophesied these words over his son, John, at the time of his dedication. John was the forerunner of Jesus Christ and as such was to carry the Light of God to a world filled with darkness. The Church, the Body of Christ has the same responsibility in our world today. We “are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid,” Matt. 5:14. We are torch bearers of the Light, called to make a difference and bring the holy influence of God to impact our world!

Therefore, we are required to make some difficult choices if we are to change the direction of our nation and world. We must choose to love others as we do ourselves? We must choose to seek the well being of others rather than promote our own selfish ambitions and desires. We must choose to embody God’s Truth in every thought, word, and action. We must choose to treat every relationship justly and impartially. What if we actually treated others like we want to be treated? Matt. 7:12, “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them:..”

We should be challenged as we reflect upon our past. Have we done our best to affect positive change for the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you pleased with the outcomes you have observed or does God's Spirit within urge you to make a greater difference in the time ahead?

The challenge is before us, “will we make a difference?” Are we willing to be shaken from our positions of safety and comfort and invest ourselves in addressing the woes of our community, our nation and our world? The whole of creation is crying out for a change. That change will come in the form of Divine intervention. God is the answer to all our issues and problems. Therefore, as Children of God and Followers of His Son Jesus Christ, we are thus compelled to seek God for His grace and tender mercies. We need to seek for and prepare to further engage in God’s Divine Intervention! It is there that we will truly Make A Difference!

When I Don't Know What To Do! by Myra Boozer

Lord, when the world is overwhelming and I don't know what to do,

I struggle with my feelings and try to trust in You.

When the trials come down like rain and I think I'm about to sink,

I call for you to save me and stop all my defeat.

When my feet get weary from running and my eyes are full of fear,

I turn to you and just in time I know that you are near.

When my lips began to quiver and my heart begins to faint,

I stand upon the Solid Rock and call upon Your Name.

You Come!...for you are not afraid of what I 'm feeling and you calm my stormy sea.

I draw a breath of sweet relief and put my trust in Thee...

“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever,”  Psalm 73:26.
