Divide And Conquer!

Luke 11:17, “But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.”

The enemy of our soul would like to isolate and destroy every disciple of Jesus Christ. His major tactic is to divide us, separate us, isolate us! He has sent his emissaries among us to do his devious work much in the same way that a wolf enters a flock of sheep and separates a single animal to be his victim. Jesus gives us a vivid example of this in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.”

The hireling has left the door open and the wolf, Satan, has entered in and made havoc of the flock. The hireling is someone filling the role of a shepherd for the financial benefit and does not have the welfare of the sheep in his heart. Therefore when trouble comes, when indifference comes, when competing doctrines come, when the influence of the world comes, they have not taken a stand for the TRUTH.

The sheep are weak from the lack of a true shepherd! They have not been prepared for what is ahead. The Word of God has not been preached to them therefore the washing by the Holy Spirit through the Word has not transpired. Satan separates the weak, the young and sick and they are doomed to his destruction.

However, God has prepared His true shepherds who will be instruments of His will for these last days. Shepherds who will speak the TRUTH as they are moved upon by the Holy Spirit. They are Watchmen upon the wall who will warn of the approaching enemy. God will not leave His people defenseless. Isaiah prophesied, “So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him” Isaiah 59:19. By His Spirit, God will raise up His Army and the enemy will be defeated.
