I
found a Facebook memory about our granddaughters...At that time the oldest was
almost seven and the other one four and a half. The older one went
out on the patio just ahead of me and Emme. I should have known that
was a mistake in her eyes. We had taught her to not go out alone.
This brought about the question of the day. "Nana who is going
out with Delaney?" I replied back, “we are...in just one
minute.” She looked up at me and with much authority said, "She
needs a patrol." I thought well the backyard is fenced and the
doors on the back are glass. We could see her. I felt confident she
was safe. But there was a great concern for her sister's well being. We
didn't tarry long and we were right by her side.
As
a child of God, we don't have to ever feel alone. The word tells us
He will never leave us or forsake us. Another great promise is Psalm
34:7, "The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that
fear him, and delivereth them." We have a patrol! we have
someone watching over us. Thank you Lord!
In
the wee hours of the midnight the angels can be felt as we remember
what the Word tells us. It is wonderful to know that God doesn't need
to be reminded of where we are. He does, however, need us to believe that
He has all things in control. He knows us by name and knows exactly
where we are geographically and spiritually. He knows our every need.
Psalm 34:15, "The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and
his ears are open unto their cry." Psalm 34:17-19, "The
righteous cry, and the LORD hearth, and delivereth them out of all
their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken
heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the
afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them
all." We just need to remember, He is our Father and He always
wants what is best for His children. We are not alone! Yes, We Have A
Patrol!
