Luke
2:15, “And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them
into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even
unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the
Lord hath made known unto us. 16 And they came with haste, and found
Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they
had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them
concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at
those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept
all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the
shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things
that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.”
There
are many voices claiming to speak for God. It is paramount that we
learn to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit and separate from the
seducing spirits of this world. Although God uses human vessels to
share His message, we must know God in an intimate relationship so He
can speak directly to us.
We
must recognize the element of revelation in our relationship with
God. Recognize is “to know and remember because of previous
knowledge or experience.” Our previous experience and knowledge
will cause us to know and remember what God has spoken to us.
Remember that “Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her
heart,” while the rest of society just “wondered at those things
which were told them,” Luke 2:18-19. Pondering is in the heart
where wonder is in the mind.
There
are so many in the church world who have a religious experience in
their minds, where they need a revelation in their hearts. Our future
and our survival will depend on the revelation of God's plan and
embracing that plan in our hearts! Not only will we experience
competing doctrines but Satan is unleashing all hell against the
Truth. When you live Truth, the enemy will come after you. Only
through Divine revelation and submission in the Holy Ghost can we
know the TRUTH and remain FREE.
