Who will listen to the still small voice when He speaks? It won't be the excitable, giddy one who is inflated with self-conceit. Being bound up in pride with an arrogant spirit leaves no room for listening.
It won't be the one who can't be reasoned with because they are stubborn and stuck without understanding, unable to concede.
It won't be the fearful for it takes courage to receive instruction.
It won't be someone who doesn't welcome change for God is an advocate for change in its most deliberate form.
It won't be someone who refuses to forgive, for the speaker is the Father of Forgiveness and He requires it.
It won't be someone who ignores the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is the very unction to hear the still small voice.
It won't be someone who doesn't understand trust, because God is all about our leaning on Him.
So Who Will Listen? I think it is the one who is DESPERATE...The one calling out to God for HELP in their Brokenness, the DESTITUTE person who has forsaken all to find God. All else has failed and they are searching for answers from someone higher than themselves. If that is YOU, there is HOPE! God will speak to your HEART when you listen with your HEART...Who Will Listen?
