1 John 2:15, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
Satan has always had a system
of rule and control opposing the authority of God. Paul tells us in the New
Testament that things will get worse in the last days. We must admit
that the events of the past couple of years are the fulfillment of that prophecy.
We are living in the last days and will continue to see mankind rush madly into
eternity until the Lord says it is enough.
We must stay strong in the
Lord and stand in the power of His might. Our battle is not with flesh and
blood but against spiritual wickedness at the highest level. Satan has launched
an all-out assault upon all of God’s creation. His goal is to destroy
everything and everyone that he can. He doesn’t care about the loss of life or
property. He couldn't care less if our cities, businesses, or homes are burned to
the ground and destroyed. His ultimate goal is to create chaos and disorder and
cause us all to feel like there is no hope for the future.
But there is hope, and that hope is in Jesus Christ. There is a future, and that future is in Jesus Christ. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end,” Jeremiah 29:11. We may be oppressed by the King of Babylon for a while, but in the end we will rise in glorious victory.
