I
Samuel 3:4, "That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am
I."
Young
Samuel heard the voice of God calling to him. At first, he thought it was the
High Priest, Eli. But not so, it was the voice of God. God had something to say
to him. He listened and heard the voice of the LORD. It wasn't easy, but he hid
nothing from Eli, for whom the message was for, and he told him everything the LORD
had said.
We
are living in a day when many voices are being spoken. We hear voices of truth
and voices of untruth, voices of hate and voices of love. Everyone seems to
have an opinion, and many speak with a loud voice for all to hear. Why? Because
they have listened to another voice that has influenced them to speak out. For
whose voice do you speak? Who are you listening to?
People
are listening to many different voices today. They hear voices to
self-destruct, voices to hurt and kill innocent school children. They hear
voices to take the life of their unborn baby. They hear voices to lie, and
steal, even from the church they have been a part of for many years. They hear
voices to neglect their own little children and leave them in horrid
conditions, locked away from society, abusing them to the point of death.
There
are voices to break the marriage vows and find someone new. Voices are telling you that you don't have to be the gender you were born with. You can
even be both male and female. There are voices to take little children as
though they were adults and do sexual things to them.
Voices
are filling our world, but many are NOT the voice of God. They are the voice of
Satan! He is cunning and very deceitful. He is full of hate for God and man,
desiring to take every soul he can, down to the pits of hell.
Do
you hear voices? Do you recognize from whom they come? If you are not sure,
make an altar and call out to God! Don't listen to evil voices! Psalm 95:7-8,
"Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your heart."
Revelation 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I WILL come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."
