Romans 8:35, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?...”
There is a renewed expectation among God’s people, renewal of faith and trust in the promises of God. This is a day to reach for the very best God has for us. Jer. 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God sees all the way to the end and desires nothing but good for us. God’s promises are secure for the obedient. “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” Isaiah 1:19.
There is no reason for the child of God to feel discouraged. He will walk with us! We are never alone! Paul said in 2 Cor. 4:8, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” We may feel that we are pushed down but we cannot be defeated. We are on the path to Victory! “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown,” Rev. 3:11.
The Holy Ghost is calling us to rise up! Rise up in the anointing and commission of Jesus Christ and finish our mission here. He, who was in the beginning, who was a participant in the creation of all things, He who is one of three persons in the Divine Trinity of God, spoke the Words of God and brought all creation to life. He, who was from the beginning has now given His power to His Church. The Church, His called out body of believers with the Divine responsibility to GO and do what He has done. Luke tells us in chapter 4 what Jesus did, 20,“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,..21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”
As the Church of Christ, we must petition the Spirit of the Lord to come upon us and anoint us to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the broken, to bring deliverance to the captives, healing to the blind both spiritually and physically, and provide comfort for all who mourn. The world is doomed to eternal darkness except they receive this message and turn to Jesus Christ in repentance. Let us lift up our voices and declare from every mountaintop, Victory Is To The Faithful in the Lord Jesus Christ!
