As
a born again believer, the power of God indwells your mortal body.
You are His sanctuary and He is mighty in His sanctuary. Psalm 68:35,
“You, God, are awesome in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives
power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!” NIV
What
do we do when we are confronted by the enemy. Much like the armies of
Israel when confronted by the Philistines and their champion, we
stand motionless in fear at the very prospect of defeat. Thoughts of
doubt and uncertainty flood our minds and cause us to lose heart.
Does God have a purpose for us to fulfill? Does He not have a cause
to perform through our lives.

Samuel 17:29, “And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a
cause?” KJV God sent young David to the battlefield that day
because He needed a champion and had chosen David. He didn’t choose
someone who would be measured as a warrior. The king’s armor would
not fit this ruddy young lad but nevertheless, he was God’s
Champion. He left the battlefield with a resounding victory because
he gave himself into the hands of God.
Is
there not a cause? Today, the Body of Christ is facing it’s own
spiritual giants. At the same time the Holy Spirit is raising up His
champions to render the enemy helpless and deliver a resounding
victory. David used what was familiar to him, his faith in God and
his slingshot. He became a participant in God’s cause. What is in
your hand? Will you answer the call and be God’s Champion for His
Cause?

Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall
humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their
wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their
sin, and will heal their land.” KJV
