Lord, what do we tell the hurting people today? Peace is a river that flows from the Throne of God! It is full, free, and fresh. It brings life and gives energy. Only this Peace is worth seeking. Don't look in other directions for help. It is not sufficient! It is useless, worthless, defiled, and will bring a false peace. The soul of man cannot survive on any other source other than the True and Living water that flows from the Throne of God. Seek God and He will give you Peace that passes all our human understanding. He alone is the PURE WATER that will quince your thirsty soul and bring you PEACE today!

Jesus Christ, I'm Desperate For You!

Lord Jesus, I need You today in a most desperate way. I need You to unlock my consciousness and pour into me Your inspiration and revelation. I so desire to hear Your consoling words and have them take root in my heart. Come, Lord Jesus, and raise this mortal soul into Your heavenly realm. Just give me a glimpse, I pray, of what is before us. I do not question Your ways but submit totally to Your leading. Help me to walk in unreserved obedience and baptize me afresh in Your love and compassion. Almighty God, seize my soul in Your embrace to walk in intimate relationship and companionship. Bear me up on Your wings, empower me to soar above this world and all its problems, and help me to see only what You desire to reveal.

Lord, I hunger for Your constant presence in my life. It is not sufficient to only meet with You on religious occasions. I must know that I am going where You are going, doing what You are doing, and a part of Your grand endeavors in and through the Body of Christ. Take me, take me now where it is just You and me. Put within me all that I need to complete our journey here! I’m Desperate For You! In Jesus’ name! Amen

A Prickly Nest! by Myra Boozer

As I recall, a mother eagle pulls out all the fluff and makes the nest prickly before those young birds want to take flight. I really think God is doing that for us today! It is getting mighty hard to feel at home in this world anymore. God knows that many are fearful of the unknown and leaving the place we have grown accustomed to is not highly favored or on our bucket list.

When you wake up and hear of so much hatred and evil happening all over the world even in your own hometown, you wonder what will happen next! It's just not a safe and peaceful environment anymore. Too many angry people are fighting to voice their opinion and do their thing no matter who it hurts.

People are arguing about politics and politicians as though they are going to change someone's mind. It isn't really going to happen. Those who have their minds made up will continue until God shows them differently.

How can people declare to be Christian and say they are looking for the return of Christ when they condone the evil acts and deeds that plainly go against the Word of God? I don't see them changing by my conversation. It will take strong conviction for people to change.

Sinful deeds and those who condone those deeds are in the same category. It is not okay to go against the Word of God for any reason. When the Word is mocked as is being done today by people who call themselves Christian and stand for a woman's right to abortion they are denying the Word of God and putting judgment upon their heads. The word clearly states "thou shalt not kill."

A true child of God wants no part of what is going on! Yes, God is allowing the fluff to be removed and the thorny world we live in is piercing our very souls because of the evil that is taking charge. Heaven is sounding sweeter all the time!

Why Is Our World In Such A Chaotic State?

Joel 1:1, “The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel. 2 Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers? 3 Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation. 4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten. 5 Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth. 6 For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion. 7He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.”

Joel viewed this plague of locusts as an invading army descending upon the nation of Israel as the judgment of God. The call had been given to repent and return to the theocratic rule of the Lord God Jehovah. Israel had refused and rebelled against God and God’s messengers.

Our world is descending into this pit of darkness at an alarming pace. We are now observing disorder and dissension at every level of governance. It began at the national levels and is bleeding down into the regional and local levels. It is affecting the small communities and individual families. 

The calamity and chaos will not stop! It will not go away! It will invariably come to your house and to mine unless the problem is addressed. As a people, we have a deep-seated spiritual problem! It goes down deep into the soul, embedding itself in the very heart of every human being. The root of the issue is SIN and an unwillingness to REPENT and TURN from that SIN. This plague and every plague of darkness draws its strength from SIN and REBELLION.

No person or group of people are immune from this disease of indifference, hatred, and darkness that has invaded our land. This is like the plague of locusts described in the book of Joel. This plague will continue moving deliberately, methodically, and with absolute certainty unless it is challenged by the Power of Heaven.

Jesus placed His power and authority within the Body of Christ to address every ill of our ailing society. We must rise up in the power and authority of Jesus Christ and address the chaotic state of our world! We must rise up in prayer in the Holy Ghost and pray against this darkness. In the Name of Jesus, the Body of Christ has power over every demonic power and the very power of Satan himself. He can do nothing but cower in the darkness when we invoke the Name of Jesus. Jesus’ blood has conquered him and he knows he is defeated. Philippians 2:10, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” Hell and the depth of everything in it will be cast down and give way for the Mighty Lion of Judah. Thanks be unto God who always gives us the victory over all things in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise God forever!

Take Authority Over The Darkness! by Myra Boozer

Satan wants us to carry every trivial little problem until it grows so huge that it breaks us down. He wants us to be so covered over by it that we can't see the light of day. He is a LIAR and the father of lies but for some reason, we just keep letting him talk. And talk he will as long as we give him an audience.

It is time to take authority over any and all voices that tell you there is no hope. It seems that so many people are hopeless today...so many troubles, trials, sicknesses, and heartbreaks.

We cry out, “Lord when will our country wake up and quit all this hate and evil that spews from so many?”

There seems to be a great shadow of darkness hovering over this world like a giant blanket. It is coming because many people have let trivial things bring them so low that they could not stand up in Faith and take authority over it!

NO, it isn't easy to take authority over the darkness but we must! We must pray continually for GOD to push back the darkness!! Jesus is LIGHT...He is HOPE...He is PEACE. Don't allow all the sorrows of this world to pile up on your heart and break you down. Take them each one to the LORD! He knows our every concern and He will help us deal with all the turmoil of our day.

Resting in His POWER to push back the darkness is the key to making it! Jesus gives us the strength to go on until HE COMES! Encourage one another with the FACT He is COMING SOON! Take Authority Over The Darkness!

The Dreams Of Life Refocused! Conclusion

We must plan for the present with the end in view. We set our goals in life always thinking of tomorrow or later. I realize that there are things in life for which you must plan. It is best to prepare for college and career, marriage and family, retirement, and final things. But, it is so very important to keep the finish in mind, always! A correct understanding of the final things in one's life will keep everything else in proper focus. Then we understand that our vision of the finish will determine how we respond to every relationship in life. No matter what decision or choice we may face, the final things will bring a correct perspective to the matter. Ecc. 12:13, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”

Therefore, life's choices are governed by our vision of final things. We realize that we live our lives in the present tense. We are planning for tomorrow by the way we live today. That will not only affect our lives but also those who have been given into our care and those who share our sphere of influence on this journey.

Now, getting back to my little gray squirrel (see post for 6/10/22). His creator has given him an innate sense to gather and store provisions. I am sure that what appeared to me to be a frantic search was normal for him. That's the way squirrels are because God created them that way. You and I are created to live on a much higher plane. If God gives an animal an innate sense of provision for his life, God has done so much more for us. The problem comes when we fail to communicate with Him. My little squirrel has an automatic system built into his consciousness for his provision. We are created higher than any other creature in God's creation. We were made for relationship with God and each other. Our relationship requires communication. If we fail to communicate with God, we cannot receive instruction for our provision.

If we are listening to God, He will instruct us in His plan for us today. He will help us to understand that we live His will today so that we are in His will tomorrow. If we follow Christ today, we have no need to worry about tomorrow. Our life and future is secure in the grace of Jesus Christ.

2 Tim. 4:7, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

Living In Splendor! by Myra Boozer

Do you ever wonder about the home the Lord has gone to prepare for you? Will it be a villa by the beautiful sea or a chalet in the mountains? I don't know what it will be like. I sure don't need to have anything fancy. I can just hang out by the crystal sea and sit on the beach for a long time. Then, I can come and visit you in your new home and we can talk about all the things that we don't have time to talk about down here.

Oh, we will not talk of our insecurities, our lack of trust or hope, or any of our sickness. The bills will all be paid...no talk of politics or the school system...no talk about what is going on next door or the way the people are treating little children...abandoning them and leaving them on the streets and even aborting them before they are born.

No talk of all the shootings and robberies and the vulgar filth that is on the TV and the movie theaters...No talk of drugs, alcohol, and abuse...or talk of drama, and fake people, no talk of the Grammy Awards or any worldly status.

No talk of needing goats to send to the needy...no talk of needing clean water for little thirsty children. We will all be happy, healthy, and completely whole, living in the splendor of a Righteous God who will feed us from His Throne forever and ever.

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know." John 14:2-4
