Then Came The Morning!

In recent months the inhabitants of earth have endured unspeakable horror and loss. The Corona virus world pandemic has brought much pain, suffering, and death to people all over the world. The effect of this tumultuous invasion is life-altering. Never in our lifetime have we experienced anything of this magnitude and will carry the memory of the devastating loss of life and the magnitude of suffering as long as we live. Recovery both physically and emotionally will cover a great expanse of time.

And in the midst of all that, our nation has experienced a total breakdown in leadership at the highest level. Our political system lies in shambles as confidence in the ability of our Constitutional Republic to survive diminishes almost daily. The average Bible-believing citizen of this country stands in shock, not able to comprehend fully what is presently taking place.

So, where is hope for intervention and recovery from this devastation and suffering? People can only do so much and go so far but they don’t have all the answers. The ultimate healing of the body and emotional trauma must come from a presence greater than man and greater than the devastating event. That presence is the delivering and restoring power of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our only Hope in the midst of such mind-numbing calamity!

The storms will continue to rage. They will continue to take their toll on both the body and mind. They will become more intense before they are concluded and all human ingenuity and effort cannot contain them. Only Divine intervention can change their course.

But, tomorrow is coming when they will all pass away. The clouds will be dispersed and the Son will rise and shine at the beginning of a perfect day. The Day Star will rise casting all imperfection into yesterday and will lead us into our pure, unspoiled future.

Psalm 30:5, “...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
