Put On The Armor Of God!

Eph. 6:10, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

As I read this text, I am reminded of a passage in 1 Samuel 17. The armies of Israel were engaged in a conflict with the Philistines. The Philistines had presented a challenge for Israel to face their champion. It was no coincidence that a young shepherd boy by the name of David was present that day. The heart of this young lad was stirred that this infidel would challenge the army of the God of Israel. David went to King Saul and volunteered to face this giant Goliath. Saul insisted that David be dressed in the king’s armor, but it did not fit him. And David had not proven the armor. David entered the plain of battle with only what he trusted. He had his sling, five smooth stones, and an unshakable faith in his God. David was the victor, and Israel was delivered because of his unwavering faith. He was dressed in the armor of God!

We are engaged in a great spiritual war. We are not fighting flesh and blood but against spirits and against the very ruler of the darkness of this world. Eph. 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:”

Saul’s armor was not beneficial to David. He chose rather to put his faith in the awesome power of God. We must choose to follow the example set by David. Far too many are trusting in man-made theology and man-made plans. We must have the anointing and covering of God to meet our enemy and be victorious in this conflict. Anything less than total surrender to the plan of God will certainly ensure defeat.

Put on Truth, Righteousness, the Gospel of Peace, Faith, Salvation, and the Word of God. Put On The Armor Of God! 

Do You Believe In The Power Of Jesus? by Myra Boozer

Mark 9:23, “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

When we believe the Word of God, something happens to us. We are changed! We become a new person with a brand new perception of everything. We see things in a totally different way. For instance, when the Word speaks of life, we know that through Christ we not only have this life here on earth, but we can have Eternal Life with Him in heaven. When we see the word death, we know that nothing can separate us from Him, not even death. He lives in us, and we are alive in Him even when our physical body has given up this life. We are with Him, to live forever in the place He has gone to prepare for us.

When we believe that Jesus was crucified on the cross of Calvary for our sins...that He died and was put in the tomb, but on the 3rd day He arose...we know and understand that we too will one day arise from the grave or be caught up together with Him in the clouds to be FOREVER with Him.

When we believe in the Power of Jesus to heal the sick, to raise the dead, to feed 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread, to open the blind eyes, to make the deaf hear, to pay the taxes with a gold coin taken from a fish's mouth, to calm the storms by speaking to the waves, to make the lame man walk again. Wow, when we BELIEVE...when We REALLY believe...We should be REST assured that ALL will be well with us...that nothing touches our lives that He is not aware of or that He can't handle.

Because we believe in the POWER of JESUS, we can REST and REJOICE. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever...REJOICE AND AGAIN I SAY REJOICE... 

Call Unto The Lord!

Psalm 3:3, “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. 5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.”

We need to be ready to leave where God is not and go to where God is! It is always important to know where we are and where God is. Where are we in relation to where God desires us to be? We need to press in and press through the opposition of the enemy into the good that God has for us and all that we may influence. We must Call Unto The Lord!

Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God has “good” planned for those who will answer His call and follow Him in faith. He has a secured end or divine heritage. We need not question our finish if only we will heed the voice of God. He knows where He is going, and He goes before us and leads the way. John 10:4, “And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.” We must determine if we are going to follow Christ, whatever the cost! We must Call Unto The Lord!

Jeremiah 29:12, “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.” Oh, to Call Unto The Lord our God, to seek His face and hear and see His answers! He promises to hear and respond (hearken). Our challenge is to clearly perceive His response. The Spirit of God is pushing back against the darkness that permeates this sinful world. God is calling His warriors to come alongside Him, join in the battle, and share His victory. He is calling us to our knees to intercede for a lost and dying world. Will you Call Unto The Lord?

Jeremiah 29:13, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” God is always available, “...ye shall seek me, and find me...” He is always with us. But we must have a sense of His presence to recognize His voice and to understand what he is doing or planning to do. God's promise is that we will find Him when we search for Him with all our heart. 

God Is My Refuge! by Myra Boozer

Psalm 91:2, "I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."

"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." The things of this world can fade away like fog lifting off the valley. I believe we find a new perspective on life, love, and our relationship with others, especially God. He fills our every longing and desire. We are no longer pushed or pressured into needing anything except Him and His presence. It is no longer about me and what I must attain or receive from this world. God becomes my focus! He brings my life to the fullest. My heart can sing in the midst of chaos, because I know He is more than enough for today and tomorrow...God Is My Refuge! 

Peace In Troubling Times!

Romans 15:13, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

We live in troubling times if all you see is the present conflict. Paul said, "If in this life only I have hope, I am of all men most miserable," 1Cor. 15:19. We must have hope beyond what we see. And we do have hope if we have put our faith in Jesus Christ. The child of God has nothing to fear. Actually, we should be excited that last days prophecies are being fulfilled and that "Jesus is coming soon..."

In the midst of all the turmoil everywhere, let us be thankful that Jesus has provided an escape. My prayer is that we, the Body of Christ, will reflect the glory of God in such a fashion that the unbelieving will see Christ and make that decision to follow Him. May the presence of the Holy Spirit cover you wherever you are and at all times! Peace In Troubling Times!

Is so high my mind can't reach it...

Is like the ocean; it covers more than I can see...

Like the sky, it keeps on going...

Like the rivers, it keeps on flowing...

Like the trees, it keeps on reaching...

And the flowers, it keeps on growing...

YOUR LOVE, LORD...

It finds me where I am...

It hovers over me like a light...

It forces me to smile even in the saddest times...

It lifts me above the sorrows...

And gives me hope for tomorrow...

YOUR LOVE, LORD...is all I need! 

You Can't Replace God's Plan And Have God's Favor! Conclusion

1 Peter 4:17, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God…”

The external, dark forces in our world are pressing in upon the boundaries of holiness and righteousness which are so firmly established in God's Holy Word. We must push back and stop this intrusion. 1 Peter 4:17, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” We need the correction of the Word by the Holy Spirit. This correction must begin at the “house of God.” This text indicates an examination by the Word and Spirit in the household of faith, the family of God.

The Bride of Christ will be presented to Him as chaste, pure, undefiled, and without spot or wrinkle. One role of the Holy Spirit is to illuminate the darkness and remove the covering for sin. The covering for sin is the absence of Truth. The Word of Truth illuminated by the Spirit of Truth will set the souls of men free to walk in the liberty which only God can give.

The promise of Christ is that as the Gospel goes forth, it is accompanied by His power and authority. When religious men compromise the Word of God, they fail to walk in the authority of Christ; therefore, there is no power. If there is no power in the message, ask by whose authority the message has come. Is this my message or the message from the heart of God? It must be God’s message, or we are Replacing The Plan Of God with our plan of flesh!

Revelation 22:18, “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Are you Replacing God’s Plan with your own plan? “…what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”
