A Future Built On Sinking Sand! by Myra Boozer

Dr. David Jeremiah asked the question, “We seem to have lost all interest in the Christian Values that built America. What does that mean for our Country's future?”

My answer is this...America has forgotten the old path that our forefathers traveled, and they have sought for what they call "The American Dream." One of prosperity and progress, giving place for greed to capture the hearts of many, opening the doors for deceit and deception in all areas of trade.

The love of money and the desire to have plenty have caused many to forget their families at home, leaving them to the daycare system and even to the streets. No time for nurturing or discipline, no time for God and His plan for their lives.

The desires of the flesh have overruled the desire for God, and many homes have been broken, causing God's plan for marriage (one woman for one man for life) to be cast aside.  The result has been the development of much sadness and anger. This has been the reason for much rebellion, drug use, and unwanted babies, which has led to many abortions.

Many of those who have been leading our country have no Christian Values. Not all, but many have given in to lowering their standard to fit into society. This has not only taken place in the arena of government but also in our spiritual world. Men and women have lost their desire to follow the standard of God because of seeking "The American Dream."

Seeking to fulfill every desire known to mankind has opened the door to much evil. We can see where this philosophy has led us. America built this dream in the sand of pleasure and desire, and the waves of Judgment are coming fast upon her shores. My suggestion is to be waving the banner of SURRENDER to God Almighty, for He alone can and will save us.

Matthew 7:24, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” 

God, Have Mercy On Our Nation!

I am reminded of the Prophet Daniel in chapter 9 as he rehearsed before God the completion of Jeremiah’s prophecy of seventy years in captivity and desolation. He realized that they were coming to a time of change for the people of Israel. However, he also knew the importance of repentance before God. Therefore, he began to offer up prayers and supplications with fasting in sackcloth and ashes. He stated before God in Daniel 9:5, “We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: 6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land...8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee. 9To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;...18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.” 

His petitions were for mercy in the face of such blatant disregard for God’s Law. America’s only hope lies in our willingness to repent and return to the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Our only hope is for a move of God, a spiritual awakening, an igniting of Holy Ghost fire that will renew man’s desire to repent and follow God.

My prayer today is that the Holy Spirit would blow upon this nation, and as the wind moves the mighty oak, that Americans, as one collective body, would bow low in convicted repentance. I ask God to break the obstinate rebellion that has seized the mind, heart, and soul of so many. Lord, bring America to her knees once again, for it is there that we will find our true purpose in God's plan. God, Have Mercy On Our Nation! 

The Only Remedy For Sin Is Repentance! by Myra Boozer

“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil. Evil is running rampant in this world, but also in many churches. The toleration of sin is a mockery of God's holiness and majesty. It is a mockery of the shed blood of Jesus on the cross." This is from a post by David C. Cooke, “Quit Calling Sin a Mistake.” It is strong, powerful, and cuts to the heart of the matter, but it is Truth. The world is not hearing much truth these days.

Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Titus 2:11, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”

Better to know the truth than to believe a lie and be lost. Jesus’ own words in Luke 13:3, "Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish." The Word of God has been so watered down! So much of the Word has NOT been preached to this generation, which has led us to where we are today. People just pick and choose whatever they want to believe because there is a smorgasbord of doctrine out there. There is ONLY one Way, and it is the BIBLE way! We are not free to change it to our liking!

We must seek God with an honest heart and know His Truth. That is what will SAVE us in the end, and time is running out! The clock is ticking, and the midnight hour is almost here. Just listen to the news. Prophecy is being fulfilled! We have a Savior who wants to make us pure and holy and acceptable in His sight. We must surrender to His call and walk in His approval if we want to go to heaven. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." We need to stop calling sin a mistake. The Only Remedy For Sin Is Repentance! 

Where Is Truth And Justice?

Isaiah 59:14, “And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. 15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.”

Some people will laud their great accomplishments and progress in this journey to a better world. Then, others view the future with pessimism, bemoaning the lack of positive markers in the process of moving forward. However, we must admit that we, the inhabitants of this earth, have witnessed both positive and negative events in our lifetime. We must also conclude that each event, situation, or happening has presented us as a civilization with the opportunity to right the wrongs, correct the injustices, and return to the truth.

We live in a fallen world, and as such will continue to witness the same climate unless we as a people choose a different path. If we continue with the same choices, making the same mistakes, the result will invariably be the same. As a society, we can't continue on this same path and expect a different outcome.

We face a difficult time ahead as political leaders jockey for position, power, and influence. For the most part, it is all a lot of noise like a sporting event. Each side supports and vehemently defends their team and believes it doesn't matter about the process so long as their team wins. But it really does matter how we play the game. The game builds character and integrity, which embrace truth, justice, and judgment. If the process fails to yield these attributes, how can we expect a government to lead in truth and justice? It is not what we say but what we do that defines us as a person and as a nation.

The whole of creation is crying out for a change. Are you pleased with the outcomes you have observed, or does God's Spirit within urge you to make a greater difference in the time ahead? Who Is On The Lord's Side? by Myra Boozer

WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE AMONG YOU? This is the title of an old song that we sang about 40 years ago. I am asking the same question today. You don't have to answer now, but in the days to come the question will clearly be asked. Pressure is going to become stronger (MORE INTENSE), and you will have to give an answer.

The answer is not true or false, nor is it a multiple-choice question. It is an answer that will be given by the way you live your life and stand true to what the Bible says about sin. Yes, you will be hated by the world, not just by one or two friends, but by the world and its system...REJECTION in its highest form.

You may have been a Christian in hiding, following God from afar. But you will be asked, “Are you one of them?” Be ready! It will take the power of the Holy Ghost in our lives to say, “Yes, I am, and I agree with the Word of God.” ALL OF IT...not just the acceptable part that people love to hear...BUT THE PART WHERE SIN WILL BE JUDGED...THAT NO VILE OR UNCLEAN PERSON (ONE NOT COVERED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS) WILL ENTER INTO HEAVEN...ALSO, THAT SIN WILL REAP ITS JUST REWARD...THAT JUDGMENT IS COMING UPON THIS WORLD...THAT JESUS IS THE ONE AND ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN.

Get ready! Don't delay! Call upon the Lord to give you what is needed when the question is asked, “Who Is On The Lord’s Side?” 

Unbelievers Will Not Be Ready!

Unbelievers will not be ready for the Rapture! The Bride of Christ, His Church, His Body, will be looking for and anxiously awaiting the Bridegroom. This is the “catching away” the Bible refers to in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. We refer to this event as the Rapture of the saints! Hebrews 9:28, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” Only those who are looking for Jesus will see Him at the Rapture. Therefore, we must be watching and waiting. Rev. 3:3, “Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” Jesus was speaking to the Church at Sardis, the Body of Christ at Sardis. (read Rev. 3:1-6). His instruction is to be ready and watch!

Unbelievers will not be ready! Having had the opportunity to receive the truth and subsequently rejecting the truth, the unbeliever walks in darkness. This includes secular churches. I am talking about those groups and individuals who fail to embrace Biblical Truth. Those who generate their own carnal doctrine to appease their followers. The sad thing about these groups is that they provide a centralized government and structure for deception.

Paul describes the perilous times of the last days in a litany of ills in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. He especially addresses religious apostasy.  Give special attention to v5, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” He is addressing those professing Christianity, but describing them as resembling Christian service, but without the spiritual dynamic of the Holy Ghost.

What is Paul's solution to Timothy's challenge? 2 Tim. 4:2, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” If they turn away from the Truth, they are unbelievers. Unbelievers are without the discernment of the Word or the Spirit. Consequently, they will walk in carnality and will not be ready. They will not be able to discern the times. “...unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” 

Escape The Wrath To Come! by Myra Boozer

What do you think is the purpose of the Rapture? I think it is to remove the Body of Christ out of this world so the WRATH of God can be poured out, as outlined in the book of Revelation.

In the Old Testament, Noah obeyed the call of God to build the ark according to God's specific instructions, providing an escape from the flood waters and saving the righteous people. In Lot's day, the people of God were removed before He rained down fire and brimstone on the city of Sodom and Gomorrah. In the crossing of the Red Sea, God dried up the waters and allowed the Children of Israel to pass over before he brought the waters back down on their enemy, the Egyptians. God's obedient people have always been spared the calamity of God's wrath. Through the Rapture of the Church, the Bride of Christ will be spared the wrath of God. However, it will be the time for Israel to have another opportunity to recognize the Messiah and choose Him, many giving their lives for their restoration to Christ.

Many prophecy preachers have studied the subject and are presenting their findings. However, not all of them can be right, which is causing much confusion. We must study the Bible in prayer for ourselves.

I believe the Rapture (the catching away) is to remove the Church, the righteous Body of Christ. The word Church is no longer used after Revelation 3. From there on, we hear about the 7 Angels, 7 plagues. 7 seals, 7 vials, 7 bowls, 7 trumpets. All this appears to be Judgment and the Wrath of God and has nothing to do with the Church, the called-out ones.

I Thessalonians 5:9, "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, But to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ." Please read 1 Thess. 4:13-18. The last verse instructs us to comfort one another with these words about the rapture. I am so thankful for this blessed Hope we have to be counted worthy to escape what is coming upon this world. Our purpose is to spread the Word of the Lord that people will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and Escape The Wrath To Come!
