God, I Need You To Speak For Me!

Almighty God, Lord Jesus Christ, I need You to speak for me today for I am at a loss for words! Capture my mind, my heart and my soul within the power of Your Grace. Create in me the passion, the power and the deliverance of Your vision. Engage my total self to birth the desire of Your heart in me. Fill this frail emptiness with an outflow of Your living water, creating a clean vessel overflowing with Your Love, Your Generosity and Your Compassion. Help me to feel the hurt of precious lives that surround the place that I occupy. Flow through me to aid and comfort those who are bleeding out the wonder of their lives because of the mortal wounds of the enemy.

Anoint me to bring the good tidings of Your Gospel to a broken world. Oh, that Your Holy Spirit in me would bind up the brokenhearted, those whose hearts have been broken asunder by the deceitful, insidious enemy of their souls. Set at Liberty those held captive, held captive by their past. Release them today from their broken dreams and failed plans and cause them to look to You for their total deliverance. Loosen the chains and open the prisons for them that are bound. May the Holy Spirit invade the dominion of Satan with such power that the chains will disintegrate at His mere presence. May the presence of Almighty God be so powerful that the prison doors be thrown from their hinges and eternal souls be forever set free.

Lord Jesus, I pray this day for Your anointing to fall heavily upon the Body of Christ, that we walk as You walked, talk as You talk and be as You are, the living breath of life in an otherwise lifeless world. Lord, anoint us with the message of Your Gospel that all who will hear will have life and have that life most abundant. God, I Need You To Speak For Me!

Put Your Trust In Jesus! by Myra Boozer

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year! I pray we give our attention to God more than ever and stand with Him and His Holy Word...I pray we give time to those around us as though they are family and depending on us...I pray for strength and encouragement to come just at our time of need...I pray for love to send forth its power to bring in the lonely and the hurting from the cold that has settled on our world...I pray for truth to invade our lives as a strong and mighty wind stirring in our souls...I pray for unity to prevail in the hearts of all believers so that the world might see and know that God is alive and working among us...I pray for peace to surround us like a strong light coming from the throne room of God...I pray for joy, the kind that is deep-rooted and cannot be shaken by the howling of the enemy...I pray for eyes to see the beauty that is in everything we hold...I pray for ears to hear the whispers of our babies as they pull on our heartstrings and long to be close to us...I pray for guidance from above as we travel the road we have never traveled before...It is all new and our hearts are excited but our minds question what the New Year holds for each and every one of us...Trust in Him who will not leave you…Put Your Trust In Jesus!

Behold, The Lamb Of God Who Takes Away The Sin Of The World!

Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year as we celebrate the unspeakable gift of God in His only begotten Son, Jesus. 2 Cor. 9:15, “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” (NIV) It is truly indescribable how our creator could love such a careless and wicked world. We take comfort in the Word in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” We recognize that promise and celebrate it's beginning in the birth of, “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:19.

Our salvation took on earthly form just over 2000 years ago in a little town in Judea called Bethlehem. Everything of this season should point us toward Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus, our Messiah. Our traditions should revolve around that theme and when it is over we should have been touched by the presence of God. We should be moved by the manifestation of His Deity in the same way that the shepherds, the wise men and all that witnessed the fulfillment of His revelation.

The Reason for our celebration is the gift that God has given to humanity. We have not earned this gift! It is a blessing handed to us despite our unworthiness. And because of God's grace and mercy, we can come before Him repenting, believing and receiving forgiveness by faith. It is that faith that saves us and that faith which will deliver us in this present hour. Faith is an indispensable element in our journey here. Heb. 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Behold, The Lamb Of God Who Takes Away The Sin Of The World!

Thy Kingdom Come! by Myra Boozer

Mark 1:15 “...The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

I would love to feed all the hungry...wrap my arms around the broken and mend them. I would love to wipe the tears from all the lonely and crushed...mend the bruised and battered...release those who are in bondage by the enemy...set the captives free...hold all the babies that are unwanted...care for all the elderly who are forsaken...heal every sickness and diseased person on the face of the earth...stop every evil and depraved thought that enters the mind of the youth...I would guard them against all evil. I would mend every marriage and bring every family into unity with God...strengthen every person who shares the Word of God and give them HOPE of many souls being saved, delivered and set free. I would love to do all this! I am limited but JESUS is NOT! I can share JESUS and He can do this for all who will REPENT and BELIEVE!

I WOULD SHUT THE MOUTH OF THE LIONS THAT ARE TRYING TO DEVOUR ALL WHO ARE GOOD AND RIGHTEOUS...I WOULD STOP ALL THE LIES AND CORRUPTION OF THE EVIL AND EGOTISTIC WHO ARE HUNGRY FOR STATUS IN THIS WORLD...I WOULD BIND EVERY EVIL SPIRIT THAT RAISES ITS UGLY HEAD AGAINST HUMANITY...I WOULD SHUT DOWN ALL THE PLACES THAT OFFER ENTICEMENT TO THOSE WHO ARE WEAK AND UNSTABLE...I WOULD STOP MURDER, HATE, AND EVERY ABOMINATION... I WOULD STOP ALL FALSE TEACHINGS AND DOCTRINES OF DEVILS...I WOULD BRING ABOUT A NEW WORLD WHERE THE LAMB WILL LAY DOWN WITH THE LION...I AM LIMITED! BUT, JESUS IS NOT! JESUS WILL DO ALL THIS WHEN HE COMES RIDING ON HIS WHITE HORSE WITH FIRE IN HIS EYES, WEARING MANY CROWNS...HIS NAME IS CALLED THE WORD OF GOD...HE SHALL RULE WITH A ROD OF IRON. HE WILL PUT EVERYTHING IN ITS PROPER PLACE...We are getting closer and closer to that DAY! Lord Jesus, Thy Kingdom Come!

Why Are So Many Christians Confused? Part 3

Confusion is the result when we walk away from God’s Truth. The first step in this process from Truth to confusion is a failure to embrace the work of the Holy Spirit. We must be able to recognize His presence and submit to His leadership if we are to walk in His Truth! (See “Why Are So Many Christians Confused?”) The second step in the process from Truth to confusion is a failure to follow Truth. As a child of God, we must seek for the revelation of Truth and walk in that Truth without reservation. (See “Why Are So Many Christians Confused? Part 2”)

The third step in the process from Truth to confusion is the failure to accurately discern the origin and author of Truth. We will not discover God’s Truth through only an academic or scholarly study of Scripture. There is an abundance of research and information available to the avid student of the Bible. But even with the best research and commentary we will come away lacking the epiphany we so desperately desire. It is impossible for the carnal mind to comprehend the mind of God unless we have a Divine encounter with God in the process.

Truth comes in its entirety from the throne of God. It cannot be a mixture of Spirit and flesh but must be 100%, God. Any deviation is a mixture of heaven and earth and will result in a dilution of the heavenly message. The Truth is born of God and has to be born of the God in us. Paul said, ”Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” Phil. 2:5. We must be born again of the Spirit of God if we are to accurately discern the origin and author of Truth!

God is Truth! Jesus is Truth and we know the Father through the Son. John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him." Jesus was the incarnation of God and as such the manifest character of God. God does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. And in God is no “variableness.” “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning,” James 1:17. The principles of God are the same in every generation.

God’s Truth is constant in every generation! Our understanding of the Truth will continue to change but the Truth does not change! Therefore, our understanding Truth is dependent upon our growing unto Christ. Eph. 2:20, “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” Our concept of Truth will continue to change as we move progressively toward God in the complete revelation of who He is. The Truth doesn't change, only our understanding of Truth. God is Truth! The more comprehensive our revelation of Him, the more comprehensive our revelation of the Truth!

The Soul Cries Out For Truth! by Myra Boozer

May those that are spiritually hungry rise up and say so…
May they call out to the teachers, preachers, the elders,
the Body of Christ...the Church...
May they tell them they are looking for a refuge, a half-way
house until they get HOME...
May they tell them the decor and the newest electronics are
not in their interest...
May they tell them it is the Fresh Bread that brings
Life and Hope...
It isn't found in the steeple or the pews... Neither is it
found in the technology of the service, but in the TRUTH
OF GOD'S WORD...the Spirit, the life-giving transformation...
It is found in the revelation of Jesus and His love for their
cries, for their struggles and heartaches...
The world is heartless, cold and cruel...
They don't need to become another face in the crowd,
overlooked and forsaken...
The hungry need to be fed...
"Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind: Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock," I Peter 5:2-3.

Why Are So Many Christians Confused? Part 2

Confusion is the result when we walk away from God’s Truth. The first step in this process from Truth to confusion is a failure to embrace the work of the Holy Spirit (see post for 12/7/18). The Holy Spirit is our guide into the Truth of God's Word. We must be able to recognize His presence and submit to His leadership if we are to walk in His Truth!

The second step in the process from Truth to confusion is a failure to follow Truth. Not only must we be able to discern Truth by the working of the Holy Spirit, but it is equally important that we walk in Truth as it is revealed to us. One function of the Holy Spirit is to reveal Truth and secondly, empower us to walk therein. As a child of God, we must seek for the revelation of Truth and walk in that Truth without reservation.

What is Truth? Truth is the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Jude is pleading in Jude 1:3, “...that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jude’s encouragement to “earnestly contend for the faith” is simply to hold to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul declared the power of the Gospel in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;” This was the message given to the saints to proclaim to a lost and dying world.

By the time of Jude’s writing, there was an influx of false teaching coming into the churches and finding a receptive ear. Jude was writing some 40 to 50 years after the death of Jesus. The Faith which Jesus taught was being diluted (not containing very much of the original message). The element gone missing was the TRUTH which Christ had preached and modeled.

It was upon this TRUTH that Jesus established His Church and the gates of hell will not prevail. Jesus had asked, “whom say ye that I am?” Matt. 16:15. Peter’s response was, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matt. 16:16. Jesus stated that Peter knew this by revelation from God the Father and it is upon this Divine understanding of who Jesus is that He has built His Church and the gates of hell can not prevail against it. Matt. 16:18, ”And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” This is the faith once delivered to the saints, the Truth of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

The power of the message is the TRUTH. The TRUTH is validated by the working of the Holy Spirit in the true believer. Validate is to recognize, establish, or illustrate the worthiness or legitimacy of. The Holy Spirit will demonstrate the legitimacy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just as Jude pleaded with the first century Church, the Holy Ghost is pleading with the present day Church. He is saying repent and return to the Truth which Jesus taught and modeled. Therein is the power of God unto our salvation and ultimate victory! (More about this tomorrow).
