The Lord Is My Salvation!

Psalm 18:2, “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”

Jesus Christ prepares the table before us in the presence of the enemy. We shall eat and drink from His table and prevail before our enemy. Jesus is our strength and our victory. He leads us beside the still waters and restores our souls. He is our source, our strength, our redeemer, and in Him we can trust today and every day as Christ Jesus, our Lord. Thank you God for the assurance that only you can give!

The Lord is our Salvation! He established His position in Gethsemane. He came to die but all flesh is appointed to death. But in Gethsemane, Jesus submitted to death. He chose to die as the Son of man to prove that He is the Son of God. The fleshly man would die but the Spirit man would live on.

That is what happens when we meet Jesus at the cross. We submit to death. We choose death to the fleshly man so the Spirit man can live on. But, we must go through our Gethsemane to get there. We must come to the end of ourselves and allow Christ to take charge of our lives. We are literally consenting to the death of the flesh so that we can experience life in the Spirit through Christ. Gal. 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Jesus is, “...my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” The Lord Is Our Salvation!

A Future Built On Sinking Sand! by Myra Boozer

Dr. David Jeremiah asked the question, “We seem to have lost all interest in the Christian Values that built America. What does that mean for our Country's future?”

My answer is this...America has forgotten the old path that our forefathers traveled and they have sought for what they call "The American Dream." One of prosperity and progress, giving place for greed to capture the hearts of many, opening the doors for deceit and deception in all areas of trade.

The love of money and the desire to have plenty has caused many to forget their families at home, leaving them to the daycare system and even to the streets. No time for nurturing or discipline, no time for God and His plan for their lives.

The desires of the flesh have overridden the desire for God and many homes have been broken causing God's plan for marriage (one woman for one man for life) to be cast aside.  The result has been the development of much sadness and anger. This has been the reason for much rebellion, drug use, and unwanted babies which has led to many abortions.

Many of those who have been leading our country have no Christian Values. Not all, but many have given in to lower their standard to fit into society. This has not only taken place in the arena of government but also in our spiritual world. Men and women have lost their desire to follow the standard of God because of seeking "The American Dream."

Seeking to fulfill every desire known to mankind has opened the door to much evil. We can see where this philosophy has led. America built this dream in the sand of pleasure and desire and the waves of Judgment are coming fast upon her shores. My suggestion is to be waving the banner of SURRENDER to God Almighty, for He alone can and will save us.

Matthew 7:24, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”

God Will Judge Sin (Rebellion)!

Judgment doesn't suddenly come upon a people or person without warning. In the Old Testament, when God's people strayed from His leadership, God always sent His Prophet to warn them of the consequences and give them an opportunity for correction and change. A good example of this is found in Isaiah 9:10, “The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.” Isaiah had prophesied the imminent judgment upon the northern tribes of Israel specifically addressing the tribe of Ephraim and the city of Samaria. Isaiah 9:9, “And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,...” The people's response was that they would build back bigger and better. The chosen materials would be hewn stones and cedars which were used for the palaces of the kings. The brick and sycamores were for the common people. That spirit that rises up is the spirit of carnal flesh which must be crucified. The correct response would have been to repent and return to God.

The leadership of this nation followed the example of ancient Israel in response to the attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. Senator Tom Daschle stood on the floor of the US. Senate building the next day, Sept. 12. He gave the following response to this devastating attack. “There is a passage in the Bible from Isaiah that speaks to all of us in times like this. Isaiah 9:10, 'The bricks are fallen down, but we will rebuild them with smooth stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars,' That is what we will do. We will rebuild and recover. The people of America will stand together because the people of America have always stood together, and those of us who are privileged to serve this great nation will stand with you. God bless the people of America.”

This passage of scripture was repeatedly used in the following months in an attempt to instill hope and inspiration. But apparently, there was no national approach to repentance. Look at where we are today! As a nation, we are more divided than ever before in our lifetime. Law and order in our world appear to be dissolving right before our eyes. (Just watch the evening news). Justice and mercy are thrown in the streets like so much refuse. Micah 6:8, “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” God has revealed His Truth and will continue to reveal Himself to all who will receive. The choice is ours but we must repent and return to the Lord God Jehovah.

When the seeds of disobedience are sown they will bring forth fruit in due season. But in the midst of our rebellion, God has saved us for His name's sake. You may feel trapped where you are and may not be where you want to be. Jesus will set you free from whatever holds you fast. Call out to Him. He will deliver today!

Lord God Almighty, we want to follow your direction. Help us to always hear your voice clearly. Shut out the extraneous noise that so overwhelms the thought process that we get lost in the fight. Help us to focus on the important and allow the useless to fall away. Sweep the irrelevant away and deposit it far from us. We want no interference! We want to focus on YOU alone. Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

The Only Remedy For Sin Is Repentance! by Myra Boozer

“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil. Evil is running rampant in this world but also in many churches. The toleration of sin is a mockery of God's holiness and majesty. It is a mockery of the shed blood of Jesus on the cross." This is from a post by David C. Cooke, “Quit Calling Sin a Mistake.” It is strong, powerful, and cuts to the heart of the matter, but it is Truth. The world is not hearing much truth these days.

Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Titus 2:11, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”

Better to know the truth than to believe a lie and be lost. Jesus’ own words in Luke 13:3, "Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish." The Word of God has been so watered down! So much of the Word has NOT been preached to this generation which has led us to where we are today. People just pick and choose whatever they want to believe because there is a smorgasbord of doctrine out there. There is ONLY one Way and it is the BIBLE way, and we are not free to change it to our liking!

We must seek God with an honest heart and know His Truth. That is what will SAVE us in the end, and time is running out! The clock is ticking and the midnight hour is almost here. Just listen to the news. Prophecy is being fulfilled! We have a Savior who wants to make us pure and holy and acceptable in His sight. We must surrender to His call and walk in His approval if we want to go to heaven. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." We need to stop calling sin a mistake. The Only Remedy For Sin Is Repentance!

A Call To Arms! Conclusion

I want to use Newton's law of motion to evaluate the cause and effect of the world's present crisis. “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction,” Newton's third law of motion.  When Christian churches all over the world began to let the Truth slip away, it created a void, a vacuum. The noun form of the word “vacuum” is defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary  as “a situation created when an important person or thing has gone and has not been replaced.” This vacuum was not only created in the churches spiritual structure but also in the lives of individuals. And that void screams out to be filled. Why? Because an important person or thing has gone and has not been replaced. The Person gone is the Holy Spirit and the thing gone is Truth. Satan rushes in to replace Truth and Righteousness with Deception and Sin.

Over a period of time, Satan has gradually slipped into the churches and undermined the power and authority that belongs to the Body of Christ. Many churches and individuals have given in to the pressures of society and embraced unholy alliances with the forces of darkness in our world. The assets that Jesus gave for the victory of the Body of Christ are no longer available to them. They have removed their covering and therefore stand powerless before the enemy.

Jesus said in Matt. 28:18, “...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Jesus gave His Power to His Church to Finish His Work. And again in Matt. 16:18, “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19  And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” The gates of hell can not prevail over the Power of the Kingdom of Heaven. Satan is defeated by the delivering power of Jesus’ blood sacrifice. Through the power of His precious blood, we declare VICTORY as the blood-bought Body of Christ.

The Holy Ghost is issuing “A Call To Arms.” It is time for every member of Heaven’s Army to dress for the conflict that is just ahead. We must make ready for confrontation with the darkness of hell! We must prepare to engage the enemy of all things good in his active hostilities against the holiness of God’s Kingdom! He that has ears to hear let him hear the consistent and universal sound of God’s Trumpeter. We cannot miss this Call To Arms! We must be vigilant in our duty as a warrior for Jesus Christ. “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee,” 1 Tim. 4:16. A Call To Arms!

Who Is On The Lord's Side? by Myra Boozer

WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE AMONG YOU? This is the title of an old song that we sang about 40 years ago. I am asking the same question today. You don't have to answer now but in the days to come the question will clearly be asked. Pressure is going to become stronger (MORE INTENSE) and you will have to give an answer.

The answer is not true or false, or even a multiple choice. It is an answer that will be given by the way you live your life and stand true to what the Bible says about sin. Yes, you will be hated by the world, not by just one or two friends but by the world and its system...REJECTION in its highest form.

You may have been a Christian in hiding, following God from afar. But you will be asked, “are you one of them?” Be ready! It will take the power of the Holy Ghost in our lives to say, “Yes I am, and I agree with the Word of God.” ALL OF IT...not just the acceptable part that people love to hear...BUT THE PART WHERE SIN WILL BE JUDGED...THAT NO VILE OR UNCLEAN PERSON (ONE NOT COVERED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS) WILL ENTER INTO HEAVEN...ALSO, THAT SIN WILL REAP ITS JUST REWARD...THAT JUDGMENT IS COMING UPON THIS WORLD...THAT JESUS IS THE ONE AND ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN.

Get ready! Don't delay! Call upon the Lord to give you what is needed when the question is asked, “Who Is On The Lord’s Side?”

A Call To Arms!

The definition of this phrase is a command to report for active military duty or a summons to engage in active hostilities. It is generally applied to a call to defend or make ready for confrontation. It is understood as a call to arms to defend against attack. In Bible times such a call was usually a trumpet which was a ram’s horn. It was very important that both the trumpeter and the entire army recognize the sound of the trumpet’s call to battle. 1 Cor. 14:8, “For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?” Paul used this analogy in a different context but still supports the principle of this statement. If the call is to result in a significant response to ascertain victory, the sound of the trumpet must be consistent and universal. The sound must be the same every time.

The principle of consistency and universality applies to the teachings of the Word of God. The point is that the Word of God is a Word from God. God never changes! Malachi 3:6, “For I am the LORD, I change not;” God’s Word never changes! It is equally applicable in each generation. James 1:17, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” Every good and perfect gift is from above and comes down from our Father who is the Light of men and in whom there is no variation, inconsistency, or shifting shadow. God and His Word are consistent and universal in every generation.

This same principle applies to the Church of God, the Body of Christ. The sound of the trumpet must be the same every time and for all people. To be more specific, the interpretation of the Word of God must be the same every time and for all generations. Holy counsel and guidance must be the same each time and for each person. As an instrument and emissary of our never-changing God, the Body of Christ must maintain the standard of Holy Scripture and be consistent and universal in every generation.

Do you ever think seriously about why our world is in the condition that it is in? I have asked myself that question many times in recent months. This is what I believe has happened. In the study of physics we are taught “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” This is referred to as Newton's third law of motion. There is also a principle called the “principle of causation.” It is defined as the operation or relation of a cause and its effect. I want to use Newton's law of motion to evaluate the cause and effect of the world's present crisis. (continued)
