Will You Carry The Message?

This is war, a spiritual war. Eph. 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” We are not fighting flesh and blood but against spirits and against the very ruler of the darkness of this world. But there is hope. His name is Jesus. He will give the victory to all who are willing to go with Him. The Devil is already defeated. When Jesus embraced the role of His sacrifice, He declared it in a deafening shout on the cross at Calvary. John 19:30, “... he said, It is finished:...” The battle is won because we are forgiven and the enemy has nothing to hold over our heads. We are redeemed by the blood of the precious Lamb of God.

There is power in the blood of His sacrifice. Power to march into the enemy's domain, the places he has hidden the souls of the lost, hopeless, lifeless, imprisoned bodies of humankind. The power and light of Jesus Christ will reach into these deep dark crevices of life and set the captive free.

However, somebody must deliver the message. Someone has to invade this realm of darkness in the power of Christ and declare freedom to these imprisoned souls. Are you ready to be used by God in such a mighty endeavor? I am ready today! Will you go with me? My prayer is that God will ignite a fire in the Body of Christ. God, light a fire that will become a raging, consuming fire of God so that we burn so hot and so bright that the darkness cannot stay where we go! Will YOU Deliver The Message?

Many Are Called But Few Are Chosen! by Myra Boozer

God is looking for an Army and many are satisfied to be Cheerleaders...Go God Go! Yes, Lord yes! You can do it, God! Or Go Pastor Go! You can do it, Pastor!

But God is saying to us “Go Mighty Army...Yes, Church Yes! You can do it Church! I left the work for you to accomplish...Get into my Word and the path will be clear. I didn't leave without giving you instructions and directions for the task at hand...The Harvest is Great, the time is short, the laborers are few and many are weak...Take strength in my Power... I alone am the Power Source...don't look to yourselves.”

Sing the Battle Song, sing it loud and strong! "Like a Mighty Army moves the church of God"..."Onward Christian Soldiers marching as to war with the cross of Jesus going on before..."

Arise take up your cross...only those in the heat of the Battle are God’s true Warriors. Don't be a traitor, don't lay your armor down. The enemy is far too close, you will not be spared. Time is swiftly passing, the end is getting near. Those that slumber and sleep will be left behind. Awake Church! The Army of God has a destiny...an appointed end.
The Wedding Supper is already in the making, the halls are lined with banners and the Heavenly Host is getting in tune. The flowers are on the table and the candles are being lit, the music is swelling and the Bridegroom is ready, waiting for His Father to give the command, “Go and bring my children home.”

In my prayer time sometime back I asked the Lord, "When are you coming?” In my heart, I heard, "Coming soon...not yet...I am going to call all I have chosen.” Matthew 22:14, " For many are called but few are chosen.”
Extended reading...Matthew 6 and Luke 12

Put In The Sickle For The Harvest Is Ripe!

Joel 3:13, “Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.”

In this chapter, Joel deals with the Judgments of God upon the wicked and disobedient. He addresses specifically God’s judgment upon the Gentile world for their treatment of Israel. Also, he addresses in a more general sense God’s judgment upon all wickedness and disobedience.

Joel 3:2, “I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.” Here Joel identifies a specific place of God’s judgment, the valley of Jehoshaphat (which means “Yahweh judges.”) It is probable that his reference is to the campaign of Armageddon which he addresses in detail in verses 9-17. In verse 13 he describes the harvest of the wicked and their resulting end in the same way one would describe the harvest of grapes used to fill the wine presses. The wicked are a harvest ripe for judgment. This is an ominous prophecy portraying the inescapable wages of the wicked.

As I think on the dreadful future of lost mankind, my heart is heavy with the task of reaching them with the Good News of salvation in Christ Jesus. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer to the present human condition. All men must hear the message of redemption and freedom in Christ. Jesus left the responsibility of delivering His message to the Church. The Body of Christ is commissioned to carry the message into all the world.

Why is it important to understand that? The lives of lost humanity are in our hands. Who will speak light in the midst of darkness? Who will offer deliverance to these miserable souls? Who will go for Christ? Isaiah 6:8, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

A New Season! by Myra Boozer

Many people need to know and understand that "We are made BY GOD and FOR GOD." When we come to realize THIS everything takes on new meaning. BUT, then there are seasons in our lives, the ending of one and the beginning of another. Most of the time there is a pause, a space in-between where we are in the lull and we just need NEW direction and inspiration. We need a good cleaning of our perspective. A time to know what is IMPORTANT. A time to get things in order as God would have them. There is a time for all things, a time to sow and a time to reap. This calls for different tactics, a different approach. So, we must have this serious personal time with the Lord.

Sometimes people think that God has left them, during the lull, the space in-between, but that is not so. This time is often difficult to adjust to...it sometimes appears to be a "valley." The reputation of the valley causes many to run scared. The talk about being "down in the valley," "alone in the valley," no sunshine in the valley...This talk is very damaging to those who are young in the Lord...they expect the worst...thinking they will never come out. It can be frightful but don't lose HOPE. It is time for the singing of a different song...the time of shedding off the old thoughts and taking on the new vision...But, also a time of finding great comfort and restoration...In the valley,  he restores our soul...He does not leave us there but when the time is fully come He will lead us out into the New Day...A NEW SEASON of our LIFE, stronger and better than before. He never forsakes us in the VALLEY. "...I will fear no evil, for thou art with me..," Psalm 23:4.

God Is Always The Victor!

God is Sovereign in power and authority and when He is challenged He is always triumphant. In 1 Kings 18, we read Elijah's challenge to the priests of Baal. Sooner or later God will go head to head with disobedience. This was a pivotal time for Israel. 1 Kings 18:21, “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” Then Elijah proposed a contest to determine the true God. The priests of Baal built an altar and prepared a sacrifice. The God who answered with fire would be recognized as the one true God.

The priests of Baal called upon the name of Baal from morning till noon but there was no answer. They leaped about upon the altar they had prepared but still no answer. Elijah mocked them saying perhaps he is talking, on a long journey or even asleep. They cried aloud, cutting themselves until the blood gushed out. They continued their appeal until the time of the evening sacrifice but, “there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded,” 1 Kings 18:29. Baal never showed up!

Elijah prepared his altar and sacrifice. Then he commanded, “...Fill four water pots with water and pour it on the offering to be burned and on the wood. And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time,” vs 33-34. Elijah prayed an anointed prayer and God answered. 1 Kings 18:36, “...LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. 37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.” God answered Elijah's prayer. “Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench,” 1 Kings 18:38. The people fell on their knees in unanimous acclamation that the Lord, He is God. God is supreme, the creator of all life, creator of all things. The only acceptable response for the created is to fall helplessly at His feet in total submission to His Sovereignty. God is always the Victor!

So Simple, Yet So Deep! by Myra Boozer

This is for anyone out there that just might not know your purpose in life as of yet. Well, here is Good News! Read John 15:4, "Abide, in me, and I in you." So simple, yet so deep and rich. In abiding, you seek, long for, thirst for, wait for, see, know, love, hear and respond to. More abiding means, more of God in your life, more of Him in your activities, thoughts, and desires, more of Him in your hopes and dreams.

When we really abide in His love, we feel so nourished, so cherished. We are His beloved child, a worthy heir. We are a child of the King, more than His creation if we have surrendered our heart to Him. Now abide! "As the branch it cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide, in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in Me," John 15:4. My thoughts were inspired by Secrets of the Vine...by Bruce Wilkinson.

Sometimes we get confused as to what God wants from us. I think this is it and the rest will come as we keep running to Him. We understand completely what his plans are for our life. Day by day, little by little, moment by moment we just rest in Him and look for doors of opportunity that He places in our path. We follow His lead and stay close to Him...

The Gift Of God Is Eternal Life!

Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Our frail human mind is incapable of fully comprehending the magnitude of God’s gift to us. How can someone whom we haven’t previously known be willing to sacrifice His only Son for our benefit? Romans 5:6, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

When we knew not how lost we were, God had planned for our total and complete deliverance. Through the precious blood offering of His Son Jesus, the pure and spotless Lamb of God, the penalty for sin was paid. When barely for a righteous man and possibly for a good man some would dare to die, God loved us when we were still sinners. Christ died for us and we are justified by His blood. We are saved from the wrath of God as we look to the cross and believe. When the sin in us made us enemies of God we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son. We have now received life through the atonement for our sin by Christ Jesus. He died and rose again to provide our deliverance, to free us from the curse of sin and sin’s punishment.

God’s desire is for all men everywhere to be saved. 1 Timothy 2:4, “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all...” God has prepared the way through the gift of His only Son. The penalty for sin has been paid. All one needs to do is repent of his sins and accept the Lordship of Christ in his life.

Pray this prayer with me and receive God’s unspeakable GIFT of salvation. “Lord Jesus Christ, I desire to be saved from the curse of sin and sin’s punishment. Thank You for paying my penalty for sin. I believe You gave Your life to ransom my life. I believe You died on the cross but You rose victorious over death, hell and the grave on the third day just as You had promised. I’m tired of my life of sin. From this moment forward, I give my life to You. You paid the ransom for my sin. I belong to You. Use me for Your honor and glory and give me an eternal home with You in heaven. Thank You for Your GIFT of eternal life in Jesus Christ! Thank You for saving me! Amen!”
