There Is A War Going On! by Myra Boozer

One day we are going to throw off this mortal man, this fleshly body we live in, and we will put on the immortal man, the one that never dies. But, until that time we stay in a battle. Our fleshly man is warring against our spiritual man.

As Christians, we must keep the fleshly, carnal man under subjection. He is NOT to rule our life because our spiritual man is to guide us! We must surrender our thoughts, our plans, and our desires to Jesus. He will help us to make wise choices and decisions.

If we feed the carnal man all the things he desires, such as, "do whatever feels good," "fit in with the crowd," "live it up while you can," and "remember life is short and you deserve everything you can get." When these thoughts are accepted as the way to live, you make your carnal man to be the STRONG man.

If we feed the spiritual man what he desires, He will feast on God's word, His commandments, His Truth, and His Love. We will make sacrifices, give time to love others, and deny ourselves. We will speak when the Spirit says to speak and be silent when He says to be silent. We will yield ourselves to be a vessel unto honor.

We will live a life not for ourselves but for JESUS. He will be the STRONG man in our lives. You may think it hasn't been that important up till now. But, the battle is getting stronger each day that passes. Your spirit man may have had a little strength but it is time for MUCH strength. The carnal man is not even a candidate for this battle because it is a great Spiritual battle! This is a battle that will not be fought in the natural or physical body. It is definitely fought in the Spirit!

Romans 8:6, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” There Is A War Going On!

Return To The Source Of Your Life!

John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

In the beginning, God was! Before anything, God was and He created all things including you and me. I feel that He is pulling us back to Himself as in 1 John 1:1, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;” He has been with us from the beginning of this journey and He wants us to understand that it is through Him that we will finish. There is no other power, presence, or virtue sufficient to complete our assignment. He will magnify our efforts and ministry as He receives the honor and glory for the results.

The Holy Spirit is calling, “come wrap yourself in the power of His presence and allow Him to perform in you His glorious works!” I am weak but He is strong! If we allow Him to fully control our lives, we are made strong in our weakness because our weakness is God's strength. There is no enemy that can stand against Him! There is no foe that He cannot overcome! There is no fortress that can withstand Him and no opposition that He cannot vanquish!

Come, come to Him now! Run, run to Him now and allow him to wrap you in His mantle of authority and shelter you from the storms ahead. I hear the rumbling in the distance, the sound of a mighty army moving into position. It is a well-prepared force, each warrior is in his place and prepared to do his duty. There is no fear in their number because they have been washed clean. Though their sins were as crimson, their raiment is white as snow. And there is one with them whose name no one can know except that His eyes are a flaming fire and He is clothed with a vesture dipped in blood and His name is the Word of God. Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword to smite the nations and rule them with the rod of Truth and He tramples the wine press of the wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His garment and on His thigh written the name, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. At His appearing, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that JESUS IS LORD!

Be Strong In The Lord, In The Power Of His Might! Conclusion by Myra Boozer

(for part 1 see 11/28/22)

The siren sounded the guards shouted, “Get to work!” Thousands of women prisoners were running to their places. Tiny disappeared. Only Corrie was left standing in her place. She did not know what fate awaited her. She did know however that God never slumbers or sleeps. She thought she could hear the singing of the angels. Then she heard her name called. Was it death? Oh, thank God, no! It was life. She was being released. She later learned it was through an administrative blunder but she knew it was not the end of an era. It was just the beginning. Ahead of her was the world. Later as she stood in the prison yard waiting for the final order, a fellow prisoner whispered, “Tiny died this morning.” The next week all the women Corrie's age were ordered to be killed.

I told you all of that to tell you this. Today the Preacher said we must get tough! We will not be able to stand against what is coming on this world, especially against Christians. If you get upset over little things and want to give up, you will not make it in the days ahead. This was an outstanding, timely message. The scripture text was from Jeremiah 12:5, “If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?” We must get strong in the Lord to make it when persecution comes on this world. The World has nothing to make you strong for the day that is coming. It must come from the Lord. He is our ONLY HOPE.

As many gathered at the altar and the Pastor prayed for each person, his wife was singing softly about the Hiding Place, the secret place for those who are in Christ Jesus. We had come full circle to the thoughts God gave me yesterday morning. “The Hiding Place” is the first book I read by Corrie Ten Boom. I believe God wants us to get stronger than we are now. People who have suffered much are the strongest. Troubles and trials can make or break you. Don't give up but press on knowing that Jesus never leaves you.…

Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” 

Jesus Christ Is Our Only Hope! Conclusion

People that reject God will be given over to their own devices and suffer the consequences. The structure of the family has disintegrated because we have not followed God. The health of our churches is diminished and some have expired because we have not followed God. Every institution, every governing body at every level has depreciated in value and relevance because we have not followed God.

Is that what we want? Do we want to be abandoned by our Creator and go it all alone? I think not! So then, what are we to do? Moral fortitude and intellectual rhetoric can not address the plague of sin that has consumed mankind. The answer to our needs cannot be legislated, addressed by executive order, or resolved by a ruling of the highest court in the land. None of these actions can put us back on course as the human race. But, there is Hope! That Hope is the Lord Jesus Christ!

The problems of our civilization are spiritual! The issues we face require supernatural intervention! Our only hope is the Lord Jesus! Let the Church call unto Him as never before. Petition Him in fervent prayer until we experience the moving of the Holy Ghost that will change our world as He did in the first century! Our future will be determined by what we do HERE and NOW! Jeremiah 33:2, “Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name; 3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

Father God, Lord God Almighty, Father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Almighty Creator Jehovah, we come in the name of your only begotten Son, Jesus. Thank you for Providential guidance and revelation. Thank you for the Peace that passes all human understanding which is the experience of a right relationship with you. It is there that we take shelter from the raging storm of this world! Jesus Christ Is Our Only Hope!

Be Strong In The Lord, In The Power Of His Might! by Myra Boozer

(Note: this was written in 2018 and is just as relevant for today!)

It is just so amazing to me what I have on my mind when I awake most mornings. Some thoughts stay with me all day long. Saturday morning I was thinking of Corrie Ten Boom and what a spiritual hero she is to me. I thought of her sufferings and her great faith. I thought about how strong she was and whether I could ever be that strong in the face of severe persecution (which we may face in the near future, as Christians).

As I went to the kitchen, Bill asked if I wanted to get out of the house and go to "Yard Sales." That used to be a big part of my life. Not so much anymore. I have more than enough stuff already. Well, we went and very quickly I found a book that I had to have. The only one that interested me. It is Life Lessons from Corrie Ten Boom. The Lord set me up for that one.

As I was reading from the "Exclusive 3-in-1 Edition," of course being of my nature, I did not start at the front of the book. I opened it about three-fourths of the way into it. Excerpts from the book, “It was a week after Betsie had died in Ravensbruck that I took my place in the ranks of women prisoners standing together in the icy cold of the early morning. ‘66730!’ That is my number, I said weakly as we took our place for roll call. ‘Ten Boom, Cornelia.’ That is my name. I thought how strange that they would call me by name when they always addressed us by number! ‘Come forward.’ We were falling in line for the roll call. Ten in a line, every hundredth woman, one step forward. My friends looked at me sadly. What does it mean? I asked inwardly. Punishment...freedom...the gas chamber...sent to another concentration camp?”

The rest is in my words. A young German girl shouted number 66730. Corrie stepped forward and was told where to stand. She was sent to the far right, away from the crowd where now she could feel the bitter cold wind whipping through her ragged prison dress. Another girl, young and frightened was sent to stand beside her. Roll call took 3 hours and they were almost frozen. Corrie asked through chattering teeth, "Why must I stand here?" The girl’s answer was barely audible as it came from her blue lips. "Death sentence."

Corrie turned to the Lord, "Perhaps I'll see You soon face to face like Betsie does now Lord. Let it not be too cruel a killing. Not gas Lord, nor hanging. I prefer shooting. It is so quick. You see something, you hear something and it is finished." Then as she looked at the girl, Corrie said, "Lord, this is perhaps the last chance I will have to bring someone to you before I arrive in heaven. Use me Lord. Give me all the love and wisdom I need. She then asked the girl her name. She said Tiny, and she had been there 2 years. Corrie asked her, “did you ever read the Bible?” Her answer was no, she did not. Corrie asked, "do you believe God exists?” She said she did and wished she knew more about him and asked Corrie if she knew Him? Corrie began to tell her. "Jesus is always with us" and about the miracle he did in taking all her hatred and bitterness for her enemies. Jesus is willing to bring into our hearts God's love through His Holy Spirit. Corrie said it was a miracle that she had a chance to explain many things about Jesus. "The prisoners behind us listened too. I felt happy. Perhaps this was my last chance in life, but what joy!" She accepted Jesus and Corrie told her, you now have a friend who never leaves you alone. (continued) 

Jesus Christ Is Our Only Hope!

Matthew 7:24, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”

Evil and sin have come upon us as a mighty hurricane and are methodically destroying everything in their path. Destruction howls like the wind, undermining the very foundation of all that we admire and trust. Evil lurches out at the family devouring the cohesiveness of love, trust, and communication creating walls of isolation, unbelief, contempt, and neutralizing the principles upon which our very existence is founded. Evil strikes at the heart of the governing bodies of our societies. Darkness has crept into our educational systems and infected every level of governance reaching the seat of our national and international governments.

The education of our children will invariably affect our nation and ultimately the world. What we teach in our homes, churches, schools, and universities will create the mindset for succeeding generations. The guiding principles of our forefathers are strategic and indispensable elements to the continued survival of this nation as we have known it. The ideals of love of God and country have sustained us in all conflict throughout our history. If we allow the name of God to be maligned and degraded, we are setting the example for the next generation. If we allow the principles of personal freedom and liberty that this nation was founded upon to be diluted and discarded, we will pay the price in defeat and ruin. (continued)

Something To Think About! by Myra Boozer

If there were no God and no Bible filled with prophecy about the last days, what intelligent person would think that this world could last very long with all that is going on? When Nations are about to fall because of their economy and collapse because of debt...moral decline has hit BOTTOM...the earth is coming apart at the seams because of earthquakes and volcanoes...people are killing the innocent at an increasingly alarming rate...evil men have grown more and more corrupt in their deeds, hating and killing all over the world...disease and sickness are out of control.

What kind of future do you see? It is horrible, beyond horrible if time goes on! But for those who love God and have chosen to follow Him, He has made a way of ESCAPE. He is coming to take us out of this horrible and depraved atmosphere that has been created by ungodly men and women.

People have pushed God aside and want to create a new world with NO rules or standards of Godliness. It seems every day you hear more plans to confuse and turn our children and grands from the truth that God designed for us to follow and be as He created us to be. Every day sin is getting stronger in the hearts and minds of sinful men. Even if there were no God and no Bible...(WHICH THERE IS) this world could not go on the way it is going. Sin is like a cancer! It destroys!

The great news is that God spared not His only begotten Son but sent Him to earth to take the punishment for the sin of mankind. The ball is now in your court. You can choose to allow Him to forgive your sins and choose to follow Him or remain as you are and suffer the punishment of sin throughout eternity.

2 Corinthians 13:5, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" Something To Think About! 

Put Your Faith In God!

Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

We are engaged in a great spiritual war with the unholy forces of darkness. The scope of this conflict is greater than any we have faced before and will become increasingly more intense as we proceed. We must place ourselves in the position for optimal results for ourselves and those that we can assist. Jude 1:23, “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”

We control the outcome of our battles by how we respond to them. If we become distressed and overwhelmed, the enemy will use that to defeat us. If we maintain faith and assurance, the Lord will be our rock and fortress. How do we achieve the latter and allow Christ to fight our battles? We must embrace Galatians 6:9 and have faith in God!

It all begins with an honest, faithful relationship with Jesus Christ. Come to the cross and leave everything there including yourself. Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” When you give it all to Him, it becomes His property and all belongs to Him. God will vigorously defend that which belongs to Him.

However, we must be strong in faith and submit to the way of God. We cannot become fractured by the circumstance and attempt to take control again. We will only repeat previous failures. Give all to the Lord and leave it there! Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

The discipline of our heavenly Father will save our lives. We must give Him our total selves, the good, the bad, the challenging, and the pleasant. “Give them all to Jesus, shattered dreams, wounded hearts, and broken toys...He will turn your sorrow into joy.” Put Your Faith In God! 

May We Remember! by Myra Boozer

JESUS is your Rock when everything begins to sink all around you.

HE is Your Bread when your pantry is empty.

HE is Your Home when you are evicted.

HE is Your Payment for a debt you cannot pay.

HE is Your Friend when all others forsake you.

HE is Your Light when darkness tries to hover over you.

He is Your Coach when you feel defeat has overcome you.

HE is Your Weapon when the enemy strikes.

HE is Your Joy in the time of great battle.

HE is Your Escape when the lions are hungry.

HE is Your Covering when all is stripped away.

HE is Your Passport when the time comes to leave.

HE is Your Key to the riches of Heaven.

"He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion," Psalm 111:4.

Oh, how quickly we can forget just what Jesus really means to us. When the storm has passed and the sun begins to shine...May We REMEMBER the works of His Hands...this is our time to remember and be thankful...today and always… 

Oh God! Show Us Your Mercy!

As I gaze out my window, I am reminded of how good and how great God is. The earth with all its beauty was created by Him. He spoke the words and all things were created. The glory of it all is incomprehensible except by the Spirit of God. He must open our eyes to the totality of all that He has placed in our world. Help us Lord to search and find. Help us to see all your beauty and glory. My mind, my heart and my spirit stands in awe of the wonder of Your creation!

In contrast, the picture of this world is catastrophic. What man has done to the glory of God's creative masterpiece is a shame and disgrace! How can we sincerely ask God to bless the mess that man has created? I simply pray, “God, show us your love, show us your grace, show us your mercy.” Just as the wind bends the mighty oak tree and its leaves and branches yield completely to the strength of the wind, may the Holy Spirit of God cause the nations to bow in convicted repentance. God move us by your Holy Spirit to yield to your will and your way. Bring us to a convicted repentance! Oh God! Have Mercy On Us! Oh God! Save us!

Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.”

Put Jesus First! by Myra Boozer

We are told in the Word..."But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things will be added unto you," Matthew 6:33. You know "all these things" that we all pursue on a regular basis, jobs, so we can pay our bills, buy food, have shelter, and wear clothes. We all desire clean, organized homes with a great meal prepared for the family in the evening. Not to forget the beautiful lawn with flowers and a nice clean car to drive. Then there is entertainment and of course, relaxation because we are exhausted by the end of the day. These things are not wrong but they can lead us on a collision course if we are not careful. We usually come to a quick STOP and then we cry out, "Lord, where are You? Come and come quickly because we are in great need of YOU. Yes Lord we need YOU, not tomorrow but right now.”

I have heard people say, "God has GOT to do something" and do it quickly. But remember He is giving us the formula in Matthew 6:33. Even with following the formula, bad things can still happen to anyone but during those times we KNOW He is "working all things for our good" because we are His. We have not forgotten "that no weapon formed against us shall prosper."  We hold to every promise in the book because they belong to us as God's Children.

I saw a post with someone speaking about giving ourselves an option. When you set your clock you can set it with the snooze control which gives you the option to either get up or lay there until the next alarm goes off. He said the Lord spoke to his heart and said, "as long as you have an option you will use it." But with God, we do not need to think we have an option. It must be Jesus first and foremost in our lives. Our desire must be to Seek Him First. The other things will come.

There are many times during the day to talk to the Lord. As you desire HIM, you will find ways to talk to him and about him. Carry a worshipful attitude in your heart all day long. I remember a dear saint telling me, "to pray without ceasing is to pray while you work." I want to be up and about my Father's business and I sure don't want to be snoozing when the trumpet sounds! Put Jesus First!

Peace In Troubling Times!

Romans 15:13, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

The words of an old song from the early 70s come to mind this evening as I ponder the condition of our world. It goes something like this, "Troublesome times are here, filling men's hearts with fear, freedom we all hold dear now is at stake. Humble your hearts to God, saves from the chastening rod, seek the way pilgrims trod, Christians awake.

Troubles will soon be o'er, happy for evermore, when we meet on that shore, free from all care. Rising up in the sky, telling this world goodbye, homeward we then will fly, glory to share.

Jesus is coming soon morning or night or noon, many will meet their doom, trumpets will sound. All of the dead will rise, righteous meet in the skies, I'm going where no one dies, heavenward bound."

We live in troubling times if all you see is the present conflict. Paul said, "If in this life only I have hope, I am of all men most miserable," 1Cor. 15:19. We must have hope beyond what we see. And we do have hope if we have put our faith in Jesus Christ. The child of God has nothing to fear. Actually, we should be excited that last day's prophecies are being fulfilled and that "Jesus is coming soon..."

In the midst of all the turmoil everywhere, let us be thankful that Jesus has provided an escape. My prayer is that during this present celebration of Thanksgiving and the coming Christmas season, that we the Body of Christ will reflect the glory of God in such a fashion that the unbelieving will see Christ and make that decision to follow Him. May the presence of the Holy Spirit be with you in every gathering! Peace In Troubling Times!

Happy Thanksgiving from our house to yours!

Giving Thanks! by Myra Boozer

I have heard it said, "What if tomorrow you were given only the blessings that you were thankful for today?" Now that really makes you think about stopping everything and giving thanks to Our Father for all His many Blessings! Psalms 63:7, "Because thou hast been my HELP, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice."

Giving thanks to our Almighty God for His great Love and Mercy...For His Truth stands even when untruth is roaming this world and destroying many lives. Thankful for a peaceful day in a world with the threat of war on every hand.

Thankful for Joy even though my heart breaks for the sin that is raging and deceiving many. Thankful that with all the rain we've had our home hasn't flooded or washed away. Thankful for a comfortable home and a good place to sleep when many are displaced because of catastrophes.

Thankful for food to eat when many are starving and Mothers have had to feed their precious babies mud pies with a little salt added. Thankful for a family that I can hold and love...many people all over the world are losing their loved ones.

Thankful for people who speak the Truth in the face of adversity and slander. Thankful for ears to hear and a mouth to speak Your Truth Lord to all who will listen. Thankful Lord, that I know you in a very personal relationship...it has kept me in perfect Peace when my mind is stayed on YOU!

Thankful for a desire to continue the work that you have given us to do...because your Word tells us, "...be Not weary in well doing." 2 Thessalonians 3:13

A Prayer Of Thanksgiving!

Psalm 121:1, "...I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."

Lord Jesus, thank you for allowing us to share in the glory of your presence. The freedom, the peace, and the absolutely marvelous deliverance are a testimony of your desire to reveal yourself to your people. It is good to dwell together in unity as one in you and through you.

Thank you Lord for bringing us into the outer court (the court of praise), into the inner court (the court of ministry), and the Holy of Holies. It is in the Holy Place we come face to face with YOU and experience your person as Almighty God, Lord God Jehovah, our Creator, our constant Support and Shield, our Deliverer, our Counselor, our Redeemer, our Savior, our Lord, and our God. It is there that we receive access to all we need and require for this present journey. Lord, your strength is our present help in time of need. The shield of YOUR covenant is our defense from the tormenting darts of the enemy. Truly, You are the source of our victory.

Thank you Lord for giving us YOUR WORD that is spiritually embraced and conscientiously invested. Lord Jesus, help us to let go of all things around us and every substance within us that would impede our success in YOUR cause. We do here and now accept YOUR promise of an expected end by faith. We fall helplessly into your embrace and look to you for the strength and grace to complete YOUR assignment. We open our hearts, minds, and souls to YOU and without reservation do purpose to receive all that you desire to invest in us. Prepare us O Lord and fill us full of YOU! Amen!

Anointed For A Mission! by Myra Boozer

Do you feel you are here on planet earth with a purpose? Or, do you feel you are just floating through with ease and comfort with a don't disturb sign hanging on your heart? What wakes you up in the morning? Is it a prayer in your heart for someone or something you might do to make this world a little easier or a little brighter? Or, is it where is my coffee? Where is my easy chair in life? Don't look at me! Don't talk to me! Don't expect to get a response from me because I am already spoken for. Life is a breeze and my mission is "Me." I hope not!

Now that I have your attention, the Bible (the greatest book on earth) teaches us that we are not our own. We have been bought with a price, the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Our "mission," like Jesus, is to do the will of the Father...all that He has laid out in His book, written by Holy men as they were inspired by the Holy Ghost.

I have been thinking of my mission as God's child, my husband's wife, my son's mother, my grand's Nana, my family's relative, my neighbor's neighbor, my church family’s spiritual relative, and my lost world's watchman. Wow, this is a big responsibility and I come up short of being all I need to be for these people. But, I am coming more and more to the understanding that I can not always be what is needed or expected of me. However, I can maintain my relationship with God and let His love flow through me so that I can be filled with His Spirit and His Love...So that my MISSION is His MISSION with His ANOINTING. Whatever your mission let God be your source and you will be Anointed For His Mission!

Psalm 27:1, “...The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Be Full Of The Holy Ghost!

Acts 9:17, “And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.”

The period of time that is just ahead will challenge our faith, our determination, and our spiritual tenacity. Our mission is to publish the Gospel in all the world. That mission will be successful collectively as the Church. God has made provision and guaranteed that Jesus’ commission, that the Church go into all the world and preach the Gospel will absolutely be achieved.

However, if we are to enjoy success in our quest to fulfill God’s plan in our individual lives, we must be full of the Holy Ghost. The message of the Gospel will continue to be met with increasing resistance and opposition from the powers of darkness. The enemy is pulling out all stops, unleashing inconceivable wickedness, perverseness, and unholy terror in all the world. The buffer and the counterbalance to this onslaught of darkness and horror, is the power of the indwelling Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit. Be filled with the Holy Spirit!

Jesus warned His disciples about what was ahead of them but, He made provision to empower them for the task ahead of them. John the Baptist testified of the baptism of the Holy Ghost which would come after him and by Jesus Christ. Mark 1:7, “...There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. 8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.” Jesus verified this promise in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” The promise was fulfilled in Acts 2:4, “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Jesus’ promise in Acts 1:8 was not only for the 1^st Century believers but is for the Body of Christ today. His promise extends to our time and to the consummation of all things. The power of the Holy Spirit will complete the mission Jesus Christ began and whosoever will receive His message will be saved.

We must take courage and draw our strength from the Holy Spirit as He indwells us. If we ask in faith the Father will strengthen us in the power of His Spirit. He will give us the power to face the enemy of our souls with faith and determination to see the restoration of His power in the churches. We must pray that He will create a hunger in each of us for a renewal of Pentecost in our congregations. I pray that God will make us hungry for Pentecostal restoration that will change our families, move our communities and affect entire nations. We desperately need God’s intervention. May we be able to pray, “I desire Your intervention, Oh God, fill us full of Your Holy Spirit!” Be Full Of The Holy Ghost!

Righteousness Exalts A Nation! by Myra Boozer

America started out with a humble respect for God and country...to the point of saying "In God We Trust" on our money and "One Nation under God" in our pledge to the flag. We are a far cry from where we started out. Men have devised their own way and left God out.

I believe God wants all people everywhere to acknowledge Him and He will Bless those who do. He alone will judge the ways of man. He will discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that does not! Psalm 9:17, "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and ALL the nations that forget God." Psalm 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people chosen for his own inheritance.” Proverbs 14:34, "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Every believer has a challenge before them to rise in the face of our enemy and say, “we proclaim the Truth of God’s Holy Word as revealed to us by His Holy Spirit.”

Are we a Christian Nation? Do we want to be a Christian Nation? The statement has been made that we are a "post-Christian Nation." Does that bother you? What can we do about it?

There is actually only one thing I can do and that is "Be Christian," be who I am and do everything in my power and ability to live out Christian values as the Holy Spirit convicts me. I can not change the world! I can only change myself and my choices. I refuse to stoop to the level that the world is following. It may seem insane or ridiculous to you but it is my responsibility as a child of God to stand my ground and give my life for what I believe to be truth. Whether you agree or not, my decisions are not based on your feelings but upon the truth revealed by the Holy Spirit that lives in my heart. I must stand by God’s Word or why would I claim to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

I think we are really no longer a Christian nation because many who call themselves “Christian” have decided to “make the rules” instead of "God Rule." When we don’t follow the dictates of our heart with God being our rule then we have no rule. We only do what is best or most appealing to us and our own desires. This leaves God out of the picture altogether...even if we call ourselves Christian, we are not! (continued)

Declaration Of Freedom!

Isaiah 26:3, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

“In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus.” So goes the lyrics of one of my favorite songs. Jesus is my Beginning and He will be my End. He is my Sustainer and my Provider. Though I pass through this intense darkness, He is my Light and my Salvation. I may not know the next step to take but He is my Guide and gives me perfect peace in the turmoil. He will speak to this storm and declare “PEACE BE STILL.” He restores the strength of my soul and causes me to rise up on wings as an eagle. He makes me to soar high above the conflict in this world, separated from the struggle. He keeps me in the hallow of His hand and nothing can pluck me from His saving grace.

That is the power of His abiding presence! Power to push back the evil and darkness that has captured the innocence of life and destroyed so many precious souls. The power of His presence in me enables me to declare in the Name of Jesus, “YOU SHALL PROCEED NO FURTHER.” There is power in the Name of Jesus over all that comes against me. As He abides in me and I in Him, He will vanquish every foe and cause me to triumph over every evil plan of the enemy. Oh! Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever! He will keep me in perfect peace as my focus is on Him! That Peace is my total Freedom Forever! Amen! Take this whole world, just Give Me Jesus!

Can You Hear The Rumbling? by Myra Boozer

How do you stop an avalanche? What is an avalanche? It is a large mass of loosened snow, earth, etc sliding down a mountain, an overwhelming amount coming suddenly. You can"t stop an avalanche! But you can hear the rumbling noise and get out of the way...possibly.

Are you hearing the noise of the overwhelming avalanche that is coming on this world? If not then maybe we need to get very quiet and still and listen. The rumble is getting louder, but it seems our world just turns up their music of distraction (whatever it may be) to drown out the Sound of the coming disaster.

There is good news! Jesus is the rock! He is the fortress! He is the shelter in the time of storm! Stand strong in Him today and know that His Father has EVERYTHING in His hands, including the avalanche that will come suddenly. Trust in the one who created Heaven and Earth and all that is in it! Can You Hear The Rumbling?

The Lord Of Our Storms!

Acts 27:27, “But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down...29Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day. 30 And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, 31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. 32 Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.” They had to remain in the ship and continue to have faith in the revelation that the Lord had given to Paul. God's plan of deliverance was to include the debris of the broken vessel, the vessel that had sustained them thus far. But, they had to be willing to stay with the ship until she literally broke apart on the rocks. Those broken pieces became their salvation. When our circumstances are falling apart, we must stay true and obedient to God’s command in order to be saved.

Acts 27:33, “...Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing. 34 Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you...36 Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat. 37 And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls. 38 And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.” The fast was concluded. They could take comfort that all would be saved and they were all (276) of good cheer. They continued in faith and obedience as they threw everything overboard to lighten the ship. They had done what they knew to do! Now was the time to allow the Lord to bring an end to their storm. They took up the anchors and committed to the sea, completely free of all encumbrances, completely sustained by the wind of God.

Acts 27:41, “And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves...43 the centurion...commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: 44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.” God's process will run its course and in the end, His purpose is secured. How many times in our own lives have we survived on the broken pieces of our ship? The storms have been strong and the struggle bitter! But, we have stayed with The Lord Of Our Storms and our end is secure in Him!

Struggles Are Necessary! by Myra Boozer

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 41:31

I have been thinking about struggles lately, maybe because I have had a few. I came across this story and it helps put things into perspective. Maybe it will help someone else.

 A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.

The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that at any moment the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

SOMETIMES STRUGGLES ARE EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED IN OUR LIVES. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could be. We could never fly! Lord, help me to not doubt the path you have chosen for me because you are working ALL things for my good, even in the struggles.

This life is full of struggles but one Day, and it may not be that far away, we are going to hear that trumpet sound and our wings are gonna open wide, lifting us right off this earth to meet our Lord in the clouds. We will be so glad we endured whatever we had to endure to make us strong in the Lord. I'm gonna lift my hands til I reach Heaven...a sign of surrender to the Almighty One and also a sign of adoration to OUR KING. Struggles Are Necessary!

Seeking God's Face!

Do I want God’s blessings or do I want Him? I make the conscious decision here and now that I want Him! More than anything, I want my life to be governed by Him, totally! Am I willing to pay the price? What price? You mean there is a price, an investment on my part?

To have God govern our lives totally, we must abandon any and everything that resembles the old life of flesh. That means that my will is submitted in every sense to His will. That means He is living His life through me, not as a puppet but as a dedicated servant.

You mean I am to be a slave to God and that is the only way I am going to have Him? 1 Cor. 9:19, “For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.” The word translated here as “servant” in the Greek text means “to make a slave of, reduce to bondage.” Paul was saying that he had become a slave to Christ. He simply meant that his life was consumed with obeying Jesus’ leading.

When we were in sin, we were servants to sin. We were made slaves under the bondage of sin. Sin controlled all thoughts and actions. We have put away sin and no longer serve sin. Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Therefore, we are no more slaves to sin but servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. Seeking God’s Face!

Now Is Come Salvation, Strength And The Kingdom Of God! by Myra Boozer

Revelation 12:10, “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

Will you be in that number? The number of Believers...the number of those who will overcome? Will you allow God to break everything unlike Him off your life? Will you allow every stronghold to crumble and fall at His feet? Will you surrender to His Voice as He calls for you to daily take up His cross?

Will you be in that number? The number of Believers...the number of those who will overcome? Will you listen to His Direction? Will you follow as He Commands? Will you wash your robes in righteousness and be ready for His Coming? His Coming is at hand! Will you be used in His perfect plan and Reign with Him in His Kingdom?

Then you must break loose from all the chains that bind you. You must seek a Power greater than yourself to deliver you from all the chains of addiction and distraction...to be set free for the awesome task of being the extension of His Arm of strength and deliverance. Be the extension of His loving heart...His kind and gentle spirit...His meek and lowly ways...His patience, slow to anger...His forgiving and accepting ways for those who ask forgiveness and even those who don't. Be the extension of His Righteous Judgment to bring counsel to those who have questions...

Can you be of good Courage even in your Garden of Gethsemane? Be strong in this Day of Adversity...be not puffed up with pride and conceit when His Blessings come down like rain. Love your enemies when they say all manner of evil against you. Know you are of the Royal Family, yet love and help those who are living in the gutters of despair.

Lord, we are ever pressing to be like you. We seek to have a broken and contrite heart, allowing you to count us worthy and add us to that number. The number of Believers, the number of those who will overcome, the number who will be like YOU!

Jude 1:20, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 24Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”

Jesus Gives Us Power To Prevail!

Matthew 28:18, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

According to the Bible, we know that God is always the VICTOR! God is Sovereign in power and authority and when He is challenged He always WINS. In the book of Exodus, when God was bringing His people out of slavery in Egypt, Satan challenged God. God said, “let My people go,” and ten times Satan replied through his servant Pharaoh, No! God responded with ten plagues of pestilence, disease, and death. Israel was protected! God was VICTORIOUS!

Satan challenged God again at the Red Sea. With Pharaoh's army behind them and the Red Sea before them, Moses and the children of Israel had nowhere to go except to God. God’s response was, “...stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD,” Exodus 14:13. God miraculously divided the Red Sea, and Israel walked through on dry ground. When all of Israel had reached the other side, the waters miraculously returned to their former state drowning the entire Egyptian army. God is always VICTORIOUS!

The same Bible teaches us that Jesus will WIN this present raging spiritual war! Though the enemy rises up to interfere with our mission, our victory has already been secured. Jesus declared victory at Calvary as He proclaimed, “It is finished!” John 19:30, “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

God sent Jesus to be the Savior of the world, to take upon Himself the sin of all men and pay the awful price for sin. That price was the death of the sacrifice, His sacrifice. But, in three days Jesus came out of the grave to declare our final victory over death, hell, and the grave. Consequently, He embodies the Power of God to Prevail over all things, “...of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth,” Philippians 2:10. Jesus is our power to prevail. Stand Still And See The Salvation Of The Lord!

Need Confidence? by Myra Boozer

If you are in need of confidence (trust, reliance, assurance), turn your eyes to the Lord Jesus. That is where our help comes from. There is no greater power or greater force than God. Yes, God uses man sometimes to take care of the things that we may need. But, for the one who created this whole universe and hung it in space, He really doesn't need anyone to help Him, but He allows us to be part of His great plan.

Put your trust in Him and your confidence will rise knowing this. Psalms 40:11, "Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD, let thy loving kindness and thy truth continually preserve me." It is He who gives us life and all that we need ONE DAY AT A TIME. “For in thee O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God,” Psalm 38:15.

When we truly BELIEVE then we will be filled with confidence, not in ourselves, but in God. "Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies," Psalm 40:4. 

My God Is Awesome!

You are mighty Oh God in the midst of your people. Who can stand against Your beloved as You dwell among them? How Great and Mighty You are, Your Wonders ready to perform. Is anything too difficult for You? “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:” Jeremiah 32:17. There is nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing that God can’t do. Put your faith and trust in Him today!

"Father God, Lord Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit of God, when I survey the awesomeness of who you are, I stand in wonder of your person. You are the Creator of all things yet you are my Father. You are the Life and Sustainer of all things created yet you are my Life and more abundantly. You are my Way, my Truth, and my Life. In you, I live and move and have the entirety of my being. You are the power of Almighty God inhabited within the person of the Holy Spirit as witnessed in the book of Acts. Yet you are my Strength, my Power, my Comforter, my Teacher, my Paraclete. You are the Divine and Magnanimous Person who inhabits all of eternity yet you are my Friend, my Companion, my Heart, and my Soul. There is no one like you!”

Psalm 46:1, “...God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. 4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. 6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. 7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. 8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. 9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. 10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.” 

The Lord Is My Refuge! by Myra Boozer

A word from "The Word." Psalm 5:11, "But let all who take refuge in you be GLAD; Let them ever SING for JOY. Spread your protection over them, that those who LOVE Your Name may rejoice in You. 12 For surely O Lord You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as a Shield,” NIV. I love the scripture and song that says "For thou O Lord art a shield for me the glory and the lifter up of mine head." Don't be troubled or cast down. The ONE you love, the ONE you adore, the ONE who gave His very life for you is watching and waiting to come and restore His Kingdom here on this earth. And He will rule and reign forever and ever.

No question about it, He has everything under control and He knows your name. Don't worry, stay close and let nothing pull your thoughts aside from His will for your life… "Not my will but thine be done," is the prayer for us to pray. He knows our path and He knows our hearts.

There is Favor for you as His child, when you walk with Him...not that everything will go the way WE think...but that He knows what is best and will work all things for our good. He is our Faithful Father! Trust in Him! It isn't that much further and we'll be HOME! The Lord Is Your Refuge!

God's Grace Is Greater Than The Storm!

John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”

“In the beginning God created..,” Gen. 1:1. He has been a part of every beginning since. He has been with us from the beginning of the journey and He wants us to understand that it is through Him that we will finish this race. There is no other power, presence, or virtue sufficient to complete our assignment. He will magnify our efforts and ministry as He receives the honor and glory for the results. He is our all in all.

I am weak but He is strong! 2 Cor. 12:9, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” God’s grace is sufficient for each and every test or trial we face. If we allow Him to fully control our lives, we are made strong in our weakness because in our weakness God shows His strength. There is no enemy that can stand against Him or foe that He cannot overcome. There is no fortress that can withstand Him and no opposition that he cannot vanquish. Let Him wrap you in the mantle of His authority and shelter you from the storms ahead.

I hear a rumbling in the distance, the sound of a mighty army moving into position. It is a well-prepared army, with each soldier in his place and prepared to perform his duty. There is ONE with them whose eyes are a flaming fire and He is clothed with a vesture dipped in blood. His name is the Word of God. Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword to smite the nations and rule them with the rod of Truth and He tramps the wine press of the wrath of Almighty God. He has on His garment and on His thigh written the name, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. At His appearing every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord! Rev. 22:17, “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” God’s Grace Is Greater Than Your Storm!

My Safe Place! by Myra Boozer

Life is so full of troubles, trials and disappointments that many days our hearts can be broken because of all that is going on in our world. Neglected children, the forgotten elderly, the sick and dying, and the lonely with no one to share the day. It is a beautiful thing to know that God has a place that provides protection and shelter, a place one can turn to for help, relief, and escape. The Lord tells us He is with us at all times. But we must leave our little world of survival and focus our hearts and minds towards Him who is our refuge.

When we give all our TRUST to Him alone, then it happens. He comes and sits with us and talks with us wrapping His big arms of love around us. It is then we realize we are not alone or overtaken by any burden that He cannot handle.

When we allow the Holy Spirit to renew our minds we are actually surrendering to what is going on and receiving our life vest for survival during our storm. Spiritually, we are taken into that safe place of His protection, His pavilion and none of the things of this world can defeat us. Not that we are not there already, but when our hearts don't stay FIXED on Him, we do not REST in His PRESENCE.

We must stay awake and aware that the world will pull us in, leaving us vulnerable to Satan and his lies of defeat. BUT Jesus says come unto me ALL of you that are troubled or overtaken and I will give you REST. He is our safe place in a world of calamity. He is our shelter in the time of the storm. He is the one who lifts us up above the shadows and puts our feet on solid ground.

To really know Him is to TRUST Him...To Trust Him means that your soul will be at REST... When all around us is crumbling down...Our heart is fixed on the Lord and we are safe and secure in Him...Jesus is My Safe Place!

He Restores My Soul!

Psalm 23:1, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”

God is enough for any person that will put their full trust in Him. The writer of this passage knew that very well. Speaking from the perspective of one who spent his young life with sheep, David knew the attributes of a good shepherd and made the comparison to his relationship with God.

David had learned that God would provide all that he needed in life. But more than that he knew that God would lead him in the direction that best pleased Him for His honor and His glory. He also knew that God would be with him every step of the way though he had to travel through the enemy’s camp. God’s anointing would be sufficient for all his days and in the end, he would dwell in the presence of God forever.

Jesus Christ is enough for us today if we will put our full trust in Him. He will provide all that we will ever need in this life. He will do that for His name's sake! We carry His Name as followers of Christ. It is His reputation that He will defend and protect. In the presence of our enemies, He will raise up His Standard. We will walk in His anointing all our days and in the end, rest in His presence forever.

How can anyone pass up this glorious opportunity? How can we neglect such an awesome invitation? He Restores My Soul!

Written In Stone! by Myra Boozer

"You shall consecrate yourselves therefore and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. And you shall keep My statutes and practice them, I am the Lord who sanctifies you," Leviticus 20:7-8.

A friend used to tell me quite often when we were making plans...now it's NOT written in stone. In other words, our plans could change and they usually did to some degree. The 10 Commandments are a different story.

When God gave them to Moses on tablets, they were written in stone. He believed and meant every word He wrote. They are called Commandments because they are just that. They are not suggestions. To be even more clear, they are God's Laws. Throughout all these years, God has not changed them. Many would like to forget them, remove them and destroy them. But, God has not and will not allow this to happen.

Jesus came that they might be written on our hearts. The love Jesus has for us causes us to desire obedience to God, to do what He asks! Only by seeking God and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ will we desire to obey this Word that is Written In Stone.

Who Turned Out The Light? Conclusion

Matt. 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

What are we to do? What can we do? We must have the wind of the Holy Spirit to rekindle His flame of fire in the churches. We must recognize where we have left the perfect path and correct our course.  We must confess that we have missed the mark which Christ has established for us. We must come together in repentance and rebuild the wall, stand in the gap and close the breach of God's divine protection around His people. Disobedience must be purged from the Body. We struggle with our choices because we have chosen our way over God's way. God made provision in the Garden of Creation for every need imaginable in the life of man. Man chose his own way laying aside the provision of God. You can't have God's provision and walk in man's way. God's way brings God's provision. We must get back to “...Speak Lord for thy servant heareth..,” 1 Sam. 3:9.

What is standing in our way? What do we need to correct to make things right with God? Do we want God's provision, blessing, and protection? Then we must get rid of anything that separates us from His perfect plan for our lives. We must get rid of the trash or refuse. Refuse is what we throw away. It is anything that doesn't have its beginning, blessing, and completion in God. If it doesn't bring honor and glory to God, we need to dispose of it. Beware of “uncommanded work.” The necessary work is the work God has commanded. All else is disposable and is a distraction.

We must identify the areas where we have fallen short, make the necessary adjustments and Jesus will give us victory. Honesty and openness are the stone and mortar of God's fortification around us. Honesty and openness turn the light on. It dispels the darkness and takes away the hiding place for unbelief. As long as unbelief can hide in darkness it is a powerful force. But once the light of TRUTH is turned on, unbelief is exposed and dethroned. It falls powerless behind us, no longer preventing us from moving forward into the glory God has prepared for a victorious people. 2 Cor. 2:14, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ,..”

Jesus Christ will preserve His Bride, the Body of Christ. Right now she is scattered among church congregations all over the world but He has already begun to sound the alarm. John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

Who Will Be Ready? by Myra Boozer

Hebrews 9:28, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

"What kind of people must we be to be ready for the return of the Lord and to enter the kingdom of heaven with Him?" There are many answers to be given. The one that stays with me so much is...We must be watching and waiting for Him (carrying out His commission). He is coming for those who are looking for Him!

We must be set apart from this world and separated from its hold on us. We must be in a loving relationship with Jesus Christ so as to want to be with Him. Not just use Him as an escape route to "get out of " what is coming upon this world in the form of judgment because of sin and wickedness. Luke tells us, "Watch out! Don't let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don't let that day catch you unaware, like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. Keep alert at all time. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man," Luke 21:34-36 (NLT).

We must have ears to hear and recognize His voice when He gives us direction...also to hear the trumpet sound...not everyone will hear that sound. We must be ready to go with Him. The Word says to be alert, not dulled by careless living.

Do we love the Bridegroom? Are we laying aside every weight that would hinder us from being ready? Are we watching for His coming? The Truth about the Rapture gives us great incentive to deny worldliness and live holy and righteously today because He could come today.

Don't let anything sedate you. Stay watchful! This world can pull you in by its luring bait which looks all pretty and innocent but it is a trap and not easy to escape once you have bought into it. Jesus said "And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things, entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful," Mark 4:19. 1 John 2:15 tells us to “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Who Will Be Ready? 

Who Turned Out The Light? Part 2

Matt. 5:14, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”

What has happened to the light? Jude 1:3, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”  Instead of being separated from the world to be a light to the world, the world has been assimilated into the churches. When we rely more on the planning and production models that we have observed in the world than on the revelation and anointing of the Holy Spirit, how can we expect people to be enlightened? Can we really expect lives to be convicted of sin and changed in repentance and regeneration?

Why have churches given over to the leading systems of the world? Because it is the easy route. In this digital age, we can access an ocean of resources in planning and production. However, for the revelation and anointing of the Holy Ghost, we have to get into the WORD of GOD and bury our faces into the carpet on the floor. We must cry out to God with everything that is within us and fervently petition Him to send His fire among us to address the needs of His People. That requires much more of an investment. That investment is us, all of us, every fiber in our very being. Nothing can be held back because we know that God requires all if we are to have His approval.

Jude wrote about a departure from the Faith, the Gospel, the Truth of God's Word. That is what has happened in churches. In an effort to include and please the masses, churches have compromised the Truth, the faith which was once delivered to the saints. Assimilating worldly systems into our churches weakens the impact of the ministry.

The Holy Spirit is the driving force of the ministry of Christ. Satan has taken advantage of the powerlessness in the churches. He has attacked that weakness and there is a breach in the wall. Now evil forces come and go at will because there is no power to resist. Why? Because many are relying on man-made theology and man's intellectual ability rather than the power and guidance of the Holy Ghost. What are we to do? (continued) 

Don't Let Satan Steal Your Identity! by Myra Boozer

I believe Satan is working overtime to steal, kill and destroy everyone he can. If you have heard anything about him, you know he is a liar and the father of lies. He is a fallen angel who is destined to be imprisoned in the bottomless pit. (See Revelation 20)

I want to tell you that he can only do what you allow him to do! As a Child of God, you are covered by the blood of Jesus. You have been purchased by the Son of God, bought with the price of Jesus’ great sacrificial death.

You are no longer the same person. You are the redeemed of the Lord and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. You're God's very own child. That means you are of royal descent. You have authority and have the support of YOUR Father, God, to fight your battles against Satan.

Remember what I told you about Satan. He is working overtime in these last days to steal, kill and destroy. (See John 10:10) I feel today more than ever he is out to steal your identity in Christ Jesus. He will accuse you and lie to you about your Father, God. He does everything he can to make you doubt the Father's love for you, even to the point of telling you that you're not even saved. He will bring up the past and run you down with it if you allow him to!

I want to warn you! Immediately, you need to stand your ground which is the Word of God. Tell Satan out loud if you need to that you are a redeemed Child of the Most High God.

Satan wants to steal your identity causing you to doubt who your Father is, causing you to fall into unbelief. He will strip you of your dignity and honor if you allow him to! Satan works in our minds and can cause us to doubt our Father's love for us. He can bring about a helpless and hopeless state of mind if we allow him to!

Rise up in Victory today as you stand on the Word of God! Tell Satan who he is and who you are. You are a blood-bought, righteous child of God. Jesus’ royal blood now flows in your veins!

Thank you, Father, because you have given us the right to be your children, heirs of your Kingdom. You have made us rich in power and authority over every evil force that comes against us, all because of your "Name." It's because of who you are and the fact that we belong to you. We are your children! Romans 8:14, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." 

Who Turned Out The Light?

Matt. 5:14, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

The enemy has slipped in unaware. It has seemed to be little things but they have become great things. Little things like taking prayer and Bible reading out of schools because it offended a small minority. Little things like a failure to take a public stand for the right under the Constitution to express our faith in the public arena. But it is a great thing.

Slowly but surely the enemy has sought to silence the cry for truth and justice. It is a great thing to take the life of an unborn child. Their innocent blood is crying out to each and every generation, “where is truth and justice.” How can the leadership of this country, those who are directly responsible for these heinous crimes, invoke the name of God? How can they look out over a public gathering and declare “God bless America?” They are heartless, cold, and calculating men and women with no feeling for the loss of innocent lives. Do you think God is going to overlook such egregious behavior? He didn't give a pass to the Israelites when they offered their own children on the altar of sacrifice with the Canaanites. He will not give America a pass either!

Our struggles in the spirit realm have spilled over into the physical and invariably affect every aspect of our lives. It is a great thing to exclude God from our schools, governments, and public arenas. It is there that truth and justice should be promoted and encouraged. We have allowed our leaders to prohibit the mention of God in all our public places and then wonder why our world is in such a mess. We have excluded God and He has left us to our own devices and the consequences of governing in the flesh.

The devil has silently done his work. We did not recognize the evil he intended and unwittingly became a partaker of his evil scheme. But we cannot go silently into the night. Even at this late hour, we must draw attention to the evil and avarice in this world. We must take a stand for truth and justice. Matt. 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (continued) 

Will You Hear? by Myra Boozer

Jesus is standing in the defense of all who will trust Him. He is our Divine protector against all evil. He is Alive and He is Coming for all those who love Him (not casual love but love with a commitment and a covenant). We have no need to fear evil because Jesus is our bodyguard!

JESUS has conquered death, hell, and the grave. He won't let His Bride be destroyed by any enemy. He has made a way for us to have love, joy, and peace in the pavilion He has made for us. Even in the dark days, He is our HOPE, He is our Future, and He is our Savior!

But we, as Ezekiel, need to hear "the word of the LORD came unto me saying." We must be able to communicate with Christ because He is our great Intercessor to the Father. He is our daily guide, our very life's sustainer. How can we survive without talking to Him? We must know He is near and listening to our cries when we are facing daily battles with the enemy of our souls.

Lord, our greatest quest is to hear your voice and know your desire for us. Lord, help me to listen intently. I want to obey but I must be still and quiet in order to hear you today. So much is going on in my mind and my heart. Lord, you can calm all the thoughts and direct my steps.

I will trust in you and sing your song. It may be low, very low this morning as the tears flow. But you understand as I feel the needs of my family and friends heavy on my heart. Help me to just hand all these thoughts, prayers, and urgent needs to you and allow you to take care of each one of them. My job is to gather them one by one and bring them to you in Faith. You are the Healer! You are the Deliverer! You are the Heart Mender! You are the Peace Giver! You are the Lifter of our Heads! You Lord are the one who really cares for us. We belong to you because of the cross.

I pray this prayer for my family and all who need an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. May you learn to love the sound of God's voice in your ear. May you cultivate such a heart for Peace and a heart at Rest that you fully Trust your Father to lead you in the Way that you should go. May you lose your taste for the things that weaken you. May you develop a hunger and thirst for all God has for you. May you receive a fresh revelation of God's Love and Promises for you. You are a gifted treasure, a loved person and you're called to impact the world in a way that only you can. May the Love of Christ constrain you and compel you in the days ahead. May He open your eyes to the new territory awaiting you. Will You Hear?

Jesus Wins This War!

Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Don’t grow “weary in well doing.”  Persecutions and afflictions are synonymous with being a disciple of Christ. Actually, tests and trials are the anthems of the “born again.”  Paul testified to the deliverance of Christ because Christ brought him through persecutions and afflictions. 2Tim. 3:10, “But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.”

The Lord Jesus delivered Paul out of them all. That was Paul’s testimony. Paul “endured” hardness (to suffer, be afflicted) as a good soldier of the Cross therefore, he could instruct Timothy to do the same. 2 Tim. 2:2, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 3Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

Persecution will become more intense as we approach the coming of Jesus Christ and the consummation of all things. 2 Tim. 3:12, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;”

Though the enemy rises up to interfere with our mission, our victory has already been secured. Jesus declared victory at Calvary when He embraced the role of His sacrifice.  Psalm 22:14, “I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.” Jesus poured Himself out on the cross and there is power in the blood of his sacrifice to empower us to finish His mission here.

Take heart, and be encouraged, we’ve read the last chapter in His Book. Jesus Christ is victorious. Put your trust in Him. Walk in His strength. He will provide everything we need to successfully complete our mission. Jesus Wins This War!

Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
