Philippians
2:10, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Satan
is caught in the trap of his own deceit which separates him from the reality of
God's plan. The reality begins at the cross. The reality is that the blood of
Jesus cleanses us from all sin and delivers us from the power of sin. 1 John
1:7, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all
sin.” Romans 8:2, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made
me free from the law of sin and death.” Therefore the blood of Jesus delivers
us from the power of Satan's influence over this mortal body.
The
reality is that the tomb could not hold Him. He is risen, exercising the power
of God over death, hell, and the grave. He gives us the hope of eternal life.
The reality is that He ascended to the Father but He did not leave us powerless
but promised the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power,
after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me
both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost
part of the earth.” The reality is that He has given us power and authority to
go into the Devil's house and take back what he has stolen from us. He is a
thief and comes to kill, steal and destroy but Jesus has overcome him and so
can we!
The
reality is that Jesus is coming again and soon. Matt. 28:11, “…Ye men of
Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up
from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into
heaven.”
This
is God’s promise for the believer as found in 1Thess. 4:16, “For the Lord
himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
This is God’s promise for the deceiver in Revelation 20:10, “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” Satan Is Already Defeated!
