Jesus' Love Pulls Back The Veil That Separates Us From God!

I begin this day as I do every day in the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ. I see that His love abounds everywhere. Even in the areas of our world that appear to be dominated by sin. But His love is there. A love which transcends all obstacles, penetrates into the most remote and isolated crevices of life. Every area of human existence is held in the shelter of His hand.

Your need and my need is laid bare before Him. He knows where we are, what we feel and what we dream. He sees each despairing thought and feels the anguish that we feel. He identifies with every human experience and emotion that has and will touch our lives. He left His throne in glory, took upon Himself the form of human flesh so He can tell you today, “I have been where you are and I feel what you feel.” He experienced the human condition in the fullest sense yet without sin. Heb. 4:15, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

He is saying to the whole human race, “I understand. I have made a way out. Believe on me as the scripture has said and be free.” You may feel trapped in a place you don't want to be. Give it to Jesus. He will make a way of escape for you. Trust Him! He knows the way. He is the WAY. Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Look to Him and live!

Change My Heart, Oh God! by Myra Boozer

I love this song, "Change my Heart oh God make it ever new. Change my heart oh God make it more like you." It is also a great prayer. Isn't His Grace Amazing? To think that He would forgive all our sins and cast them far, far away in a sea to never be remembered. Just makes me cry when I think how my mother taught me many years ago about the love of Jesus. This love also takes away our chains, the things that seem to hold us captive and make us a prisoner. His love says NO MORE BONDAGE!

This love is so unending and still so amazing after all these years. I trust it to take me on the rest of my days, however long they may be. My mother also taught me how to cook, sew, clean house, take care of babies and much more. However the best things she ever taught me was that Jesus loves me and died on the cross for my sins. She taught me to love others as myself, to be forgiving and to pray about everything. She taught me by example, which is the most profitable way to teach.

So. I must share this news with your today. Jesus loves YOU and died for YOU. You to can be set free from all the struggle, from all the guilt and shame, the chains that bind, the things that pull you down and make your life miserable. They can vanish in a moments time, when you humble yourself and allow God to raise you up in His Holiness. For He is Holy, Righteous, and Pure.

He wants to hold you in His big arms today and make everything new. JESUS LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER KNOW. Put your trust in Him. He is your deliverer and He will fight your battles. You don't have to struggle any longer or carry the guilt of sin. Just surrender to the one who created you, loves you and died for you. He wants to give you life everlasting and peace for the journey until that Day. His love is so Amazing, so rich and free. He is so full of compassion and great mercy. When all around you is crumbling and falling away, Jesus will not fail you. He is your steady ROCK, your firm FOUNDATION and soon Coming King!

I Run To Him! by Myra Boozer

When my heart can't find direction and my thoughts are running wild...I run to my Savior and I began to cry. He dries my tears with hands of mercy and looks into my eyes. He knows my burdens and my tears are for those for whom He died. I tell Him all my secrets and allow Him to mend my wounds. I tell Him how my heart breaks for those that I hold dear...for those who once loved Him but walked away and left Him far behind...for those who are now lonely and feeling exhausted by this life. I call out to Him and ask that He would speak softly, just call out their name...Help them to see there is a better way...Help them to see you Lord...the person that you are! The Son of God and Redeemer of this world.

Lord would You send someone to talk to them, someone they would listen to?... Maybe a neighbor, a friend or a stranger...Someone who would remind them of the treasure they once had and cause them to quickly turn and run to You...for You will be running to them with open arms of mercy, forgiveness and New Life...You have not forgotten them...You love them still the same...For on the cross You died for all who would call upon Your Name.

Intimate With God!

Our intimate encounter with God will spot-light any disobedience and the sin of disobedience left unrepented will bring God’s judgment. You can follow this principle in 1 Kings as we read about the wicked leadership of Israel. On each occasion, God spoke through His prophet warning of the inevitable result of their disobedience. In order to fully understand the gravity of the egregious behavior and wicked deeds of this period, one must be familiar with the chapters preceding chapter 17. Through them, we have a better grasp of the setting in which Elijah lived and preached.

1 Kings 16:30, “And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him. 31And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.”

This is the beginning of the reign of Ahab over the nation of Israel. Ahab was one of the worst kings to ever rule in Israel. But probably the worst mistake that Ahab made while he was king was to take as his wife a Zidonian by the name of Jezebel. She was a very evil woman who worshiped the god of her ancestry, Baal. She asserted her influence as queen to force all of Israel to worship Baal. 1 Kings 16:33, “...and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.” However, God sent Elijah to warn them of the coming judgment of God.

Disobedience left unaddressed will place a person or a nation on a collision course with the judgment of God. That is why it is so important for a person or a people to have intimate relationship with God which will involve continued communion with the Holy One of Heaven. God will instruct and lead if we will follow Him. When we desire intimate communion with Him, He will reveal all that we need to know in order to please Him. The light of His Word and Presence will light the path He has chosen for us to follow. (continued)

God Knows Best! by Myra Boozer

A few years ago as our two granddaughters were playing so sweetly. All of a sudden, I heard a cry that shouldn't have been part of their play time. Then I heard the youngest say to her sister, “You're being rude because you won't let me do what I WANT to do.” This really got my attention. How childish but then again she was only 6 years old.

Even as adults we sometimes feel this way toward God. We may even say, "God, this is just not fair." We think He is not being a good Father when He doesn't give us what we WANT. Well, we are wrong! He knows what is best for His Children and He will do what is best. But there may come a time when we refuse to do what is right and He will let us go our own way and do what we want to do. Now that is a scary place to be and we don't want to stay there long. When we choose to walk away then we must choose to go back where we left God, repent with tears and do things His way. He is not going to come and say, "Child I was wrong, do what you want and everything is okay"

God will help us any time. He loves us but we must go His way not ours. "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" Amos 3:3. Are you asking God to go your way or are you going His way?

When we walk with the Lord we learn so much about His character. We learn about His loving patience and His unending mercy. But, we also learn about His boundaries and His laws. He is not a pushover and He is not one to allow us to live reckless and ungodly. He is strict with His requirements of righteous living. He will discipline us and correct us with a strong hand sometimes. But walking hand in hand with Jesus will lead us right into Heaven. Now, that is the place we all want to live when this life is over.

Why Are You Where You Are?

Sometimes we are challenged to ask ourselves this question. Why am I here? Why am I doing what I am doing? The right answer would be, “I am here because God placed me here. I am doing this because God instructed me to do it.” Although we may have begun this journey with a firm conviction that God has placed us in our current role, we must be firmly established in our calling. We are compelled by the opposition to the message of Jesus Christ to declare, “God sent me and this is His Message.” It is imperative that we experience a Divine encounter with the Lord of the Message.

There are many such encounters recorded in the Bible where followers of God had their time of revelation. They came face to face with the God of their faith who empowered them to successfully complete the mission given to them. Elijah is one such example of the sustaining power of revelation from God. Elijah had his moment when he thought all was lost, he was all alone, and there was no hope to proceed further. But God had a plan and all power in His hands to pull down and to destroy, to build and to plant, to cast away and to gather.

1 Kings 19:11, “And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: 12And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. 13And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?”

Elijah has just witnessed a mighty intervention of God at Mount Carmel. He was God’s man of the hour and God used this vessel to make a declarative statement that there is no other God but Jehovah. So, although God knew why Elijah was hiding in a cave, cowering in the darkness, He wanted Elijah to see for himself the absurdness of his actions. What are you doing here Elijah? He ran because he was afraid that Jezebel would take his life. He needed to know that Jezebel could only do what God would allow. He needed to know her reign of idolatry was over and he needed to finish his mission. God told him so!

We need to have our personal “Elijah moment.” We must have our own personal encounter with God in Christ Jesus. We must find that still small voice experience. We must hear what God is saying. Although Elijah was in the final phase of his life, this encounter with God changed his future. Here he was thinking that his cause was lost, everyone had deserted him and the battle was over but God was not finished with him.

We are in the final season of time and the hour of our deliverance is at hand. However, the climax, the crescendo, the grand finale is still to come. By faith in the revelation God has given us and obedience to His directive, we can “go” and be successful in His mission. He has already given us the VICTORY in Jesus Christ. We will inherit our promised end, and by obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can give ourselves wholly to the consummation of all things.

Speak Truth At Thy Windows! by Myra Boozer

How much longer will we have this freedom to write what is on our mind? On March 31, 2015...During the night, I heard these words over and over in my mind...I so wanted to remember them...I believe they are important to me and maybe to you..."SPEAK TRUTH AT THY WINDOWS." I knew immediately that the word Truth was talking about Jesus because He said, "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE." I know what windows are. I love windows. They are so important in a house. A building of any kind needs windows. They let the light in and bring such warmth on a cold day. They can renew my spirit when the sun is shinning but my heart is weary.

Windows are valuable to me. But, I knew there was a greater meaning to the word "window." Webster says its an opening in a building, vehicle, etc. BUT HERE IT IS...The interval during which something can be done. The message is very clear and I cherish it. Speak JESUS at the time during which it can be done. The Bible says to work while it is day for night is coming, when no one can work. We are given the opportunity NOW to tell people about JESUS. We need to do it more than ever. JESUS IS THE WAY, THE ONLY WAY...IF YOU LOVE HIM...TELL OTHERS ABOUT HIM.

Today is a good time to get to know Him, if you don't already. I must continue to write what God puts in my heart as long as I have this freedom. I pray that you can receive something. All I can do is press on and on for His Name Sake...as spoken by Corrie Ten Boom...only heaven will reveal the true worth of my time and energy to do this...

We Are Challenged To Reap This End Time Harvest! Conclusion

Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” We are not fighting flesh and blood but against spirits and against the very ruler of the darkness of this world. But there is VICTORY! His name is Jesus. God will give the victory to those who are willing to go with Him. The Devil is already defeated. When Jesus embraced the role of His sacrifice, He declared in a deafening shout on the cross at Calvary, “It is finished.” John 19:30, “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost..” The battle is won because of the power in the blood of His sacrifice. Enough POWER to march into the enemy's domain, the places he has imprisoned the souls of the lost, hopeless, lifeless, bodies of human kind. The power and light of Jesus Christ will reach into these deep dark crevices of life and set the captive free.

However, somebody must deliver the message. Someone has to invade this realm of darkness in the power of Christ and declare freedom to these imprisoned souls. My prayer is that God will ignite His Holy Ghost fire in the Body of Christ, a fresh baptism of fire. Lord send a fresh wind of Your Pentecostal fire, a raging, consuming fire of God so that we burn so hot and so bright that the darkness cannot stay where we go.
There is coming a time in the future when all creation will bow at the feet of Christ. All creation will declare true reverence to Him as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. But I am convinced that Christ Jesus wants to use the Body of Christ to attain the fulfillment of His miraculous power. The signs of God’s miraculous presence should follow the lives of believers.

Mark 16:17, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
John 14:12, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

I am convinced that the Lord Jesus wants to use the Body of Christ to march into Satan's house, the very seat and throne of his rule and rescue perishing souls. Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

These are the words that Jesus read in the Temple and declared “...This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.” Luke 4:21. That was the scope of Jesus' ministry as prophesied by Isaiah. That was the authority of His mantel. He gave that authority to the Church as He commissioned Her to complete His ministry. He passed His mantel of authority to His Body. Let us embrace His command and go in the power and the authority of His Holy Spirit and REAP THIS END TIME HARVEST!

Celebrate The Treasure Of Children!

Matt. 18:2, “And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

There is something so very priceless about being in the company of children. They are such precious creations. Often as I look into the faces of my jewels, the blessings God has given to me, my gifts straight from heaven, my grandchildren, I see in them the reflection of the face of God. Many times I have met them just outside my front door as they came running up my walkway. Their faces were all aglow with joy and happy to come to our house. With sweet smiles upon their faces and arms spread wide, they run into the arms of their anxiously awaiting grandfather.

Such an exchange of love and embrace is hard to describe in ordinary words. It makes one's heart melt before God and all creation just to think that such a relationship can even exist. And you know in your heart this is not just a human experience. You realize that the connection reaches deep down to the very soul. It reaches into that part of us which is unique to the human being. There is no other facet of creation that can experience such a relationship. And God breathed the breath of live into the first human being and he became a living soul. I am overwhelmed with thanksgiving that He has created such a wonder. Thank you Lord for including us in such an awesome plan.

The relationships that we have here are but a prelude to what lies ahead for the children of God. 1 Cor. 13:12, “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” As great as our revelation of God may be, our experience with God is veiled to some degree. Similar to Moses’ inability to experience the full impact of the majesty of God due to earthly constraints, there is a limit to our ability to fully entertain God. However, there is a time coming soon and we shall see Him as He is. 1 John 3:2, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” Now we see in part and know in part but at His appearing we shall behold and share in the unveiled glory of the risen Christ.

I envision in my mind the images of making our final journey to our heavenly home. When we arrive at our destination I wonder how it will be. Will the experience be similar to that of my grandchildren? With our faces glowing with the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ, with smiles of redemption upon our faces and arms spread wide, will we rush into the arms of our anxiously awaiting heavenly Father? 1 Cor. 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

We Are Called To VICTORY, NOT Defeat!

1 Corinthians 15:55, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The army of God is rising up. Rising up in the mantel of Jesus Christ. That mantel being the manifest presence of Christ in the Holy Ghost. If you have received since you believed, you carry the mantel of Christ. I feel the urging of the Spirit calling upon the Body of Christ to rise up in the power of that mantel and do His work. What is that work? To preach the gospel for the salvation of souls. If we will accept the commission, then we have a promise. The gates of hell cannot prevail against the Body of Christ. Why because we are covered in Christ's mantel. We are filled with His Holy Spirit!

Matt. 16:17, “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Matt. 28:18, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

The Devil is a roaring lion (a wild animal) seeking to devour and destroy everything and everyone that would proclaim salvation and freedom in Jesus Christ. The power of God in the Holy Ghost empowers us to push back the darkness that has invaded this land. The power of God Almighty will break the chains of sin, disobedience and rebellion. He will set at liberty all those who desire to follow Him. We are His servants. We stand where He stands by His power. We will do His work and break through the enemy's fortresses. We will go into the enemy's domain and rescue the perishing in the NAME of JESUS, the CHRIST, the SON of the LIVING GOD! Let us go together. Does the Devil hold any of your precious treasures? Let us mount up with renewed strength, renewed inspiration and restored victory.

Isaiah 40:28, “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Cry Out To God Against The Shedding of Innocent Blood! Co-written with Myra Boozer

Isaiah 59:7, “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways. 8The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks along them will know peace.”

Our hearts continue to be burdened for the suffering of innocent souls living in our world. Innocent souls who are suffering unimaginable horrors and death at the hands of vicious, wicked people. My heart cries out to God for Divine intervention and deliverance for these precious treasures!

I know it is so very hard to comprehend what others are going through unless we are in the same situation at the same time. I can hear, in the distance, the cries of the children and the parents who have seen their homes destroyed, the ones who lost every single thing they owned...I can see the heartbreak in my mind of the families who had to leave homes because of the fires or the floods, bombs, or enemy...But in no way can I experience the utter hopelessness that they are feeling... I cannot know the anguish of the parents who saw their children killed by people who get enjoyment from killing the innocent, the Christians, the Jews...I could not know, unless I am standing in their shoes...God please send a strong revelation upon YOUR people to cry out against the shedding of innocent blood today...Just because you and I are not in the middle of severe storms, calamity, disaster, revolution, upheaval, war or killing...does not mean it cannot come near to where we are and to our neighborhood...We are not exempt from what is coming on this earth because of sin...Daniel, speaks of " it shall be for the time appointed"... when will it come to us? We do not know. God help us to be mindful of the suffering and the dying in our world...Give us your compassion for intercession...This is so important, to love others and pray for them in their sufferings...

Will you join with us and cry out to God against the shedding of innocent blood. Just as the righteous blood of Able cried out from the very ground covering him, I pray that the shed blood of the innocent will proclaim to God of heaven and earth, “how long will this continue?” My soul is screaming, “God have mercy on us all.” I pray that the prayers of the saints will bombard heaven bringing Divine deliverance. May God bless you for praying!

Empowered To Reap This End Time Harvest!

Luke 24:49, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”
Matt. 28:18, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you...”

Our world is broken by sin and disobedience! Satan has invaded our house and has stolen precious treasures that belong to us. He has taken our health, our relationships, our time, our talents and abilities, our finances, our family members both physical and spiritual and most anything else that he wants. We must stop him! We can stop him! We can take back what he has stolen from us!

As Spirit filled believers we stand in the power and authority of God. Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” The word “power” in the Greek is “dunamis” and is defined as strength, power, ability, inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature. The power Jesus promised is the inherent power of the Holy Ghost. His very nature is power.

By the power (dunamis-ability/can) of the Holy Spirit (pneuma-breath of God), we are empowered to complete the ministry of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:2, “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.” With the power and might of a great wind, the Holy Spirit filled the house. By the power of Almighty God the door of Satan's prison springs open and we are free from all encumbrances that prevent us from wholly following God. I am reminded of Paul and Silas in Acts 16:26, “And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed” KJV. Several of the other translations read that the earthquake was so violent that the doors flew open and the chains were loosed and fell off. The Spirit of God that possesses our mortal body has broken the chains and opened the barred doors. Thank God we are free!

We are free but free for what purpose? We are free so that we can lead others free. Jesus came to set the captives free. As His Holy Spirit indwells us, we are free to be the visible evidence of the delivering power of God. We are free to be a God living, God breathing, miraculous working possession of God. We belong to Him. There is no power of hell that can defeat an obedient child of God. We are free in God to take back what the enemy has stolen. We are free to actively engage in this End Time Harvest!

Lord, Deliver Us From Evil! by Myra Boozer

Dear Lord, I ask that YOU help all Christians to stand strong against the evil in our world. Help us to not be shaken by what is coming and already here. We desire that nothing hinder as we seek YOU God.

May we trust YOU in these evil days. We desire to stand in the power of YOUR might against the enemy of our soul and the souls of our families. Lord may we receive wisdom to know how to share YOUR Gospel Message effectively.

Evil is on every hand trying to destroy every good work, especially the work of the righteous. Lord may we seek to be filled to the overflowing with YOUR Spirit so that no evil spirit can enter our hearts.

We must rise up as Daniel and proclaim YOUR Word for it is power unto salvation. God, Your Word tells us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We stand on that truth. It tells us that we are made overcomers by YOUR blood and the word of our testimony.

We proclaim YOUR Word is truth. We cast our cares on YOU and delight ourselves in YOU. May faith continue to arise in our hearts as we send praises to YOUR throne. Deliver us from evil for thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory...Forever...Amen!.

We Are Challenged To Reap This End Time Harvest!

Matthew 9:36, “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

We are continually challenged by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to become an active participant of this end time Harvest. Jesus looked upon the multitudes of people and was moved by compassion because He saw them as sheep without a shepherd. They needed the guidance and provision that a shepherd would provide for his fold. This is such a fitting example for the Church and our world today! Multitudes scamper about without a clue where they are going. We must sound the alarm to snatch them out of eternal fire! Each one of us must be actively engaged in this Harvest!

We live in a fallen world, broken by sin and disobedience. What the world is experiencing now and will experience in the immediate future is the result of sowing the seeds of sin. We are reaping and will reap according to our obedience to God or the lack thereof. Consequently, the upheaval and chaos is the judgment of God. God's judgment is perfect! If we sow seeds of sin, we will reap a reward for sin. If we sow righteous seed, we will reap a righteous reward.

There is a second element to this judgment. It is Harvest. As the Body of Christ, our focus should be on the coming judgment as it relates to the Harvest. God is pressing us into the Harvest. We can allow the events taking place in our world to cause us to shrink back into a defensive posture or through prayer, we can rise up to launch an offensive thrust into the Harvest. We can utilize the impending sentence of judgment as a tool to motivate believers and nonbelievers alike. This judgment can motivate believers to enter into intercessory prayer, be empowered by the ever abiding presence of the Holy Ghost and to become actively engaged in the Harvest. This judgment can motivate nonbelievers to make the decision about their eternal destiny. It is repent and come to Jesus Christ or suffer the consequences.

God has given us this day. It is His gift to us to use for His Glory! We must walk with Him today, seek His direction and anointing and follow Him into His Harvest. He wants us to continue in His awesome presence. However, we must stay the course and push forward. The Holy Spirit is calling for a new spiritual offensive. The Body of Christ is being attacked as never before in our lifetime. It is time to take the fight to the enemy. I have always heard “the best defense is a good offense.” Will we dare to enter the enemy's camp. Will we dare to take back what the enemy has stolen. We must do that very thing and reap this end time harvest. (continued)

The Way You Live Will Affect Others! by Myra Boozer

"Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, and after a while his master's wife took notice of Joseph and said, "Come to bed with me!" But he refused...He stated " how can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God. Genesis 39:6-9 NIV.

Have you considered the way you live your life will affect the lives of those around you? Joseph did...he stayed pure and true to God. He remained true to Potiphar, the Egyptian officer of the Pharaoh. God had a plan for Joseph. He has a plan for your life also. He wants to Bless you and your family. Stay true, no matter the temptations that may come your way. If falsely accused, remain true and pure.

God was with Joseph and He will be with you. Remember, being in prison was part of the plan. There Joseph had the opportunity to correctly interpret the King's dream and bring restoration to his own Family. You may not be able to look ahead and see how a critical moment of obedience fits into God's plan for your Life. But, you can pray for strength and a pure heart so that when that day may come, you will have the Power of God in you as Joseph did. Did you know that from the lineage of this Joseph came JESUS CHRIST? Wow, talk about affecting others.

When a person or a people do not remain Pure, they began to fall from within. It is horrible the sin that is being uncovered in Hollywood day after day. Some may have thought it would remain hidden forever but they had to live with the "not knowing" day in and day out. Now, that sin is exposed to all the world. Nothing is ever hidden from God and sin will always reap its just reward. This is the same lustful and sexual spirit that was on Potiphar's wife.

We can see that sin is running rampant today and is causing the decline of our world. What was once called evil is now called good and vice versa. BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART FOR THEY WILL SEE GOD, Matthew 5:8. We must know the Word of God in order to know the difference between good and evil. It is very critical for you and your family and our World. Many are deceiving and being deceived in these last days before the return of Christ. Remember, the way you live your life will affect the lives of others and sin is never hidden from God.

God Will Address The Evil Influence Of Apostate Religion!

1 Kings 18:21, “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.”

The cause of Israel’s idolatry had to be addressed. Jezebel had infected the pure worship of Jehovah with the idol worship of her ancestral god, Baal. She used her position as queen to force all of Israel to worship Baal. The time had come for Israel to choose who they would follow and the evil influence of apostate religion had to be eliminated. Elijah ordered that all the priests of Baal were to be killed to rid the kingdom of their evil influence. Good call, right? 1 Kings 19:1, “And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.” Jezebel promised to do to Elijah what he had done to her priests and he ran for his life. He found himself all alone hiding away in a deep dark cave but it is there that he encountered the Almighty Lord God Jehovah.

There are two issues that Elijah was challenged to address. One, how could he justify his hasty retreat in the face of such a victory at Mt. Carmel? And second, could he be used of God to finish his mission? Elijah began to justify his behavior and defend his cowardly retreat. He had been very zealous for God when the children of Israel had forsaken His covenant. They turned to the worship of Baal, having thrown down the altars of the Lord and slain the prophets of God. Elijah proclaimed that he was the only one left therefore they sought to take his life. God assured Elijah that there were “7000” that had not bowed to Baal or worshiped his image. God's command was to return to action and finish what God had started.

God was getting ready to administer His judgment upon this wicked government and apostate religion and He wanted Elijah to know his role. God was compelled to let him know what He was preparing to do. God was not finished with Elijah just yet! God wanted Elijah to know that He still had large numbers of the faithful who had not bowed to Baal. Elijah had a role in bringing God's plan to its completion. God said, go and anoint Hazael to be king over Syria, Jehu to be king over Israel and Elisha to be the prophet in Elijah's place (1 Kings 19:17-18).

God uses whom He wills to bring about His plan! But we must have our Elijah moment, our own intimate encounter with God where He reveals our assignment in His plan. Holy Ghost revelation is absolutely essential in these last days. God wants to speak into our lives, into our churches and into the Body of Christ His directions for the culmination of His grand plan. But, we must position ourselves in mind, soul and spirit to hear His voice and heed His call.

By My Spirit Saith The Lord!

Zech. 4:6, "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."

I feel inspired to remind us that we must continue in the unabated freedom of the Holy Ghost. The knowledge and wisdom of man is not sufficient for the time ahead. The Holy Spirit is an indispensable confidant as we move toward the culmination of God’s plan. Unabated means “continuing at full strength or force without becoming weaker. Being at full strength or force.” We will require the full authority, presence and perspective of the Holy Ghost every moment of this journey. We dare not proceed without being fully immersed in His person and baptized in the power of His presence. His guidance is essential! The choices and decisions ahead will be difficult. Not difficult to make but difficult in the sense of their consequences. A step forward without the absolute wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit could put us on a path of irreparable error. At the very least choices made without the full assurance of the Holy Ghost will cause unnecessary sorrow and suffering. The road back is always burdensome.

The storms of darkness will rage against the souls of light. These storms will respond to only ONE voice, the Master’s voice. When the storms of life are raging, He will stand by me. At the mere utterance of His command the winds cease and there is peace.

Psalm 31:19, “Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! 20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.”

I must run to my hiding place, my refuge from the storm. My soul craves the quietness there. In the stillness, I find peace and rest. He lifts me above this world's raging sea. He quiets the winds and calms the blustery waves. He commands “peace, be still” and the wholeness of my life returns. Thank You Jesus!

Do You Know Jesus? by Myra Boozer

Do you know the love of Jesus? Has He come into your life and brought peace where confusion and turmoil once lived? Has He come with His whisper of the love that He has for you and your family? Has He given you joy beyond measure, sharing with you the abundance of the heavenly rain that covers all souls that delight in Him? Do you feel His arms of security and confidence in His plan for your life, instead of feeling like a lost ship on the sea of time? Do you awake each morning with the hope that today you will be able to share the good news with the world that so desperately needs it...all because you know JESUS, the author of good news? Do you have a laughter that comes from a deep, deep well of living water that springs forth giving life?

Do you know the love of Jesus? The compassionate one who feels every heartache, and sees every tear that falls from your eyes...Do you know this man that gave His very life so that you would not have to receive punishment for the sin of Adam that is born in each of us? Do you know Him? Do you know that He is coming to take those who love Him to live with Him forever in a place that eyes have not seen and ears have not heard? There is nothing on earth to even compare.

Jesus is the one who picks me up and turns me around. He puts me on solid ground when I feel dizzy from the hustle of this life. He is the one I depend on to give me strength. He is the one who gives me HOPE. No matter what may come, no matter what may happen, He gives me hope that I can be FAITHFUL to Him and TRUST Him for the outcome.

Another Beautiful Day! by Myra Boozer

Father, on this another beautiful day you have given to us, I am praying that we are about your business...that we are doing what you have instilled into our hearts to do...that we are not passing this day off as just another day to read the cartoons and sip our coffee. But Lord, I pray our hearts are fixed on you and your purpose for this very hour. Lord, please help us to surrender every thing to you, our family, our homes, our jobs, our finances, all of our needs for now and for the future. Lord, may we bundle them up and send them straight to your throne room. Lord, with all the turmoil that is happening all over this world, I humbly ask that you show yourself so real to all the people...that they will know that you love them and are holding them in your arms of mercy and grace. You’re never far but always near!

Lord, we love you but we want to love you more, more than we have ever loved you. We so depend on you to light our world with your love and strength. We cannot make it one step without you. You have made us a promise and I pray we hold to it with all that is within us, that we will remember that you are coming to receive us unto yourself, that where you are, there we may be also. This world is getting more evil with every passing hour. I pray that none lose what they have received from you. It is our HOPE! It is our JOY! It is our PEACE! It is our LIFE!

All our Hopes and dreams are in You Lord! We thank you for another beautiful day to be captured by your mercy and grace as we seek to be about your business.

The Gift Of God Is Eternal Life!

Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Our frail human mind is incapable of fully comprehending the magnitude of God’s gift to us. How can someone whom we haven’t previously known be willing to sacrifice His only Son for our benefit. Romans 5:6, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.”

When we knew not how wretched, vile, reprobate and lost we were, God had planned for our total and complete deliverance. Through the precious blood offering of His Son Jesus, the pure and spotless Lamb of God, the penalty for sin was paid. When barely for a righteous man and possibly for a good man some would dare to die, God loved us when we were still sinners. Christ died for us and we are justified by His blood. We are saved from the wrath of God as we look to the cross and believe. When the sin in us made us enemies of God we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son. We have now received life through the atonement for our sin by Christ Jesus. He died and rose again to provide our deliverance, to free us from the curse of sin and sin’s punishment.

God’s desire is for all men everywhere to be saved. 1 Timothy 2:4, “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all...” God has prepared the way through the gift of His only Son. The penalty for sin has been paid. All one needs to do is repent of his sins and accept the Lordship of Christ in his life.

Pray this prayer with me and receive God’s unspeakable GIFT of salvation. “Lord Jesus Christ, I desire to be saved from the curse of sin and sin’s punishment. Thank You for paying my penalty for sin. I believe You gave Your life to ransom my life. I believe You died on the cross but You rose victorious over death, hell and the grave on the third day just as You had promised. I’m tired of my life of sin. From this moment forward, I give my life to You. You paid the ransom for my sin. I belong to You. Use me for Your honor and glory and give me an eternal home with You in heaven. Thank You for Your GIFT of eternal life in Jesus Christ! Thank You for saving me! Amen!”

If you prayed this prayer or want more information about knowing the Lord Jesus Christ, please send me a note in the comments section of this blog. I would love to continue to pray with you and for you! God Bless.

Liberation From Our Fleshly Curse! Conclusion

God never intended it to be this way. His plan was for the spiritual and physical to be perfectly joined together. How can that be with the fallen state of mankind? Through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, we can walk in the Spirit though we are present in this physical body. Though we live in this physical world, we live and move and have our being in Jesus Christ (Acts 17:28). Through faith in Him, we are sanctified (set apart from the world). Heb. 10:10, “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Through faith in Christ we are regenerated (restored to sinless state). Titus 3:5, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” And through the saving grace of the cross we are justified (just as if we never sinned). Eph. 2:16, “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ,..” Therefore, we can conclude that through Jesus' sacrifice we are restored to the relationship God had with man before the fall. Through Jesus Christ, we can walk in the righteousness of God with His Spirit living in us as our daily guide.

Why is that so important? God wants to walk with us in intimate relationship. His intention is that His Holy Spirit is our counselor, comfort, rock, strong tower, mighty fortress, deliverer, provider, healer and anything else we need. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus,” Phil. 4:19.

I want to note two very important factors in the relationship between God and Adam. 1)There was continued communication between them. 2)Obedience to God's instructions was absolute. When these two principles are observed, the spiritual and physical are perfectly joined together. The failure comes on our part when we either fail to communicate with God or fail to obey His instructions.

Through Jesus Christ we are liberated from the fleshly curse of sin. We are redeemed, set free from the curse of sin and sin’s punishment. We are free to live and serve Him all the days of this life and the eternity which is to come. Thank You Jesus!

Liberation From Our Fleshly Curse!

The world around us can be overwhelming at times, especially in the current state of world affairs. Many questions flood our minds as to where all this is going and what may happen next. If we focus on current events alone, we will become depressed, oppressed, discouraged and defeated. But when we allow the Holy Spirit to teach us how these events fit into prophecy and the end times, the uncertainty of our future is eliminated. We can move into a relationship with Christ where the spirit and physical realms connect in the perfect plan of God. We can walk in perfect peace with total confidence in the promises of God. Isaiah 26:3, “Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed upon thee.”

What has created such a disconnect from the spirit world? In the Garden of Eden, the spiritual and the physical were perfectly joined together. The disconnect came when man disobeyed specific instructions given to them by God, rebelled against His oversight and fell into sin. As a result of that disobedience and rebellion, Adam and Eve had to deal with issues of life that God never intended. God never intended that they concern themselves with anything relative to their living and provision (water, food, shelter, clothing). He had already made provision for all their needs and God presented Himself each day to walk with them in the cool of the evening. Anything they needed, God was right there in person to provide.

God's intention was that they dress the garden. We don't know exactly what all that involved but we do know that the environment drastically changed after the sin of disobedience. They went from having everything they needed to providing for themselves through toil, sweat, and tears. The earth itself became a vessel of discipline. They were driven from the perfect climate of the garden to the dry and thirsty land of rebellion where they had to battle the thorns and thistles for food to eat. God cursed the ground because of sin and in the sweat of his face man would have food to eat. And the pain of childbirth for women would be greatly multiplied. (continued)

Until You Come! by Myra Boozer

Until You Come,
I will search for you as a new born baby searches for its mother's milk. I will rely on you to take care of me.
Until You Come,
I will rise early and sit with you...before the demands of the day push you aside and leave me anxious, frustrated and feeling hopeless...
Until You Come,
I will wait for you with my eyes wide open. I won't allow the rushing waters of distraction to drown me...and cause me to miss your appearing…
Until You Come,
I will stay in close communion with you, waiting for your response and listening for your voice...
Until You Come,
I will sing your song of sweet redemption, your song of new life...The song of life over death... the one that brings me freedom...
Until You Come,
I will remember who you are and the price you paid for me...You purchased me with your blood and I am yours...
I will remember to whom I belong, Until You Come!
"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart," Jeremiah 29:13.

What Should We Be Doing Until The Lord Returns? by Myra Boozer

In Matthew, the 25th chapter, Jesus gives parables that could help us to know what should be priority for the child of God. First, He tells of ten virgins and at midnight the cry was made, "Behold the Bridegroom cometh." He tells us five were wise and five were foolish. Now what was it that made them different? It was their lack of oil. Five ran out and asked to borrow from those five who had oil. The wise had to answer NO. This shows us we cannot give away what we have. Each person has to receive for themselves. When they couldn't borrow they had to leave to find more oil and the bridegroom came while they were gone.

In verse 10, "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were READY went in with him to the marriage: and the door was SHUT." This makes me think of Noah and the Ark...God shut the door to the Ark when it was time and that was all that went in. There will be no allowances for the procrastinators, the lazy, the apathetic or the careless. We must be WISE and be filled with His Spirit, as the oil represents the Holy Spirit. We must be watching and waiting. We must stay the course! No playing around, running here and there, doing other things that can so easily beset us. The wise virgins stayed near the door...and when the bridegroom came they were READY. So, we must constantly be Watching for His Return and Listening for His sound.

Matt. 25:13, "WATCH therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." My heart says, It won't be long until we hear the sound...Lord help us to be full and overflowing with Your Holy Spirit, Ready to leave when You Return.

Cast All Your Cares Upon Jesus!

We live in a self-absorbed world. Paul wrote to Timothy in 2 Tim. 3:1, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.” He goes on in the succeeding verses to delineate the characteristics of these last days. Paul is describing a selfish people in this passage. Today, it is hard to find people who are more concerned about others rather than themselves. Jesus said to love our neighbor as ourselves. People who are totally focused on themselves do not have the capacity to love others. Consequently, the driving force in their lives is to gain for themselves.

When we are so self-focused, we can miss the greater plan that God has for all His creation. If we are always focused on I, me, and mine, it is difficult for us to understand the needs of those around us. Our role in God's plan is to affect our world for the cause of Christ. When I am focused on the here and now, the day to day issues in my life, it pushes my spiritual connection farther away. If my attention is given fully to the issues of my relationships and the responsibilities of daily care and provision, then there is little room for activity in the spirit realm. That is why the Lord invites us to cast all our concerns on Him and exercise our faith in His promises for us.

1 Peter 5:6, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” In verse 7, “the word for 'care' in the Greek is 'mer'-im-nah' which means 'anxiety' and it comes from the word 'mer-id'-zo' which means 'to divide or separate into pieces (through the idea of distraction).'” “The word for 'careth' in the Greek is 'mel'-o' which means 'to care about.' It is a verb which means it is an action word. Jesus understands our needs and cares to the extent that our needs move Him to action.”

If we follow the Lord Jesus Christ, He will see to it that our needs are met. We must place our total faith in His promise to do that. Therefore, we are not distracted with the menial tasks of life and can prepare for the spiritual war with our adversary, Satan. Peter says, “Whom resist stedfast in the faith...” We must resist Satan while remaining steadfast in the faith that our provision and sustenance are in Christ's hands. Jesus invites us to give to Him all our cares, the things that bring anxiety and cause us to be distracted from His plan. Because, He cares for each one of us and will move into action as we TRUST Him!

An Elephant In The Room!

Matt. 24:38, “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

In spite of Noah's warning, this verse describes the reckless way that the people went on their usual course, pursuing their pleasures with doom hanging over them. Life continued as though nothing was amiss. The world was on a collision course with the judgment of God because of sin and disobedience. God gave them warning and opportunity to repent but they laughed at the message and mocked the messenger. For 120 years God left the door of redemption open but when time (God's time) was up, He closed the door to salvation.

The people of Noah's day “knew not until the flood came.” They did not receive the message of the coming judgment. Their attention was upon their own carnal pleasures. Flesh was the driving force in their lives rather than care of the soul.

The Lord Jesus assures us that similar recklessness and unbelief will be found at his coming. We are living in the day that Jesus talked about. The conditions in our world parallel those of Noah's time. The general attitude toward the last days message is that of unbelief and a false security that refuses to heed any warning. Life continues as though nothing is amiss. Mankind continues to seek his way of life which is focused on selfish, carnal desires. He lives in pursuit of another enticement that will thrill the senses. All he sees is the momentary pleasure, the temporary highs. He doesn't see that he is sowing carnal seeds that will be brought into judgment. Our world is on a collision course with the judgment of God. The whole of mankind is reaping the seeds of sin.

Noah's ark was set in the middle of their daily lives. You might say it was like an elephant in the room. How could they walk around it everyday and still ignore the message of God. It sat before them as visual reminder that God's judgment was coming. They looked at Noah working every day but refused the message of salvation. Why did they do that? Because they were driven by the temporary pleasures of this life. They could not accept that anything could change what they perceived to be in their future. God made believers out of them but it was too late when it started to rain. The door to their salvation had been shut by the hand of God. No one could open it.

Just as God brought judgment in Noah's generation, He is in the process of doing the same in our world. The greatest failure of a man is to exclude God from his life. You can allow what is to come to do the work of conviction and repentance to accepting Jesus in salvation. Or, you can continue in your own way, failing to heed God's warning, and suffer the same destruction of Noah's day. Judgment is upon us. We will reap what we have sown. Hear Jesus' voice today, repent and be saved!!!

Faithful Watchman! by Myra Boozer

It seems the weathermen are kinda like the prophets of old and of today...warning us...telling us what is taking place and what about to happen...telling us when conditions are favorable for "Disaster." When the people heed their voice they are usually safe. If not, they may suffer days of hardship even death.

The prophet only knows in part and prophecies in part. You see, God is the Sovereign One. He is above all others for He is God of heaven and earth...I do know that He makes decisions that are sometimes based on what the people do. If the people pray He listens. If the people repent, He forgives. If the people seek restoration, He restores. When the people humble themselves, He heals their land. If they don't, the only alternative is spiritual death.

I think the hardest job ever is to be a watchman on the wall...to be the one that has to share the bad news, "trouble is coming!" "Wake up and get Ready, Jesus is Coming...Judgment is at the door." The watchman, the one who knows he must do his job and declare what he sees coming... but he also knows it is ALL in the hands of our Sovereign God as to when these things take place and where.

Habakkuk 2:1-3, "I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

Don't be afraid to stand your watch and share what God has shared with you from His Word... But be warned II Peter 3:3-4, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."

Don't grow weary in well doing. "Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee," I Timothy 4:16.

Victory! by Myra Boozer

Victory, I hear the sound of Victory, for it is on it's way...
The music, the singing, the dancing in the streets...
It is getting closer and my mind can't compete with it's joy...
It is sweet and savory...It is lovely and admirable...
It is fresh and compelling...It is strong and vibrant...
For it demands a listener...It will not be overlooked or dispelled...
It is life...LIFE in Christ!...
No other way for the Christian except VICTORY...
SORROWS MAY LAST FOR THE NIGHT BUT JOY COMES IN THE MORNING...

Getting Ready To Leave? Or, Getting Ready To Stay? (conclusion)

God will put people of like character into the same lot together and bring them into judgment. In Luke’s version of Jesus’ ministry, he accounts for numerous parables that Jesus used to illustrate Divine principles. It is interesting how Jesus used the parable of the rich man and Lazarus to characterize the life of a believer and an unbeliever.

Luke 16:19, “There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day...” The rich man represents an unbeliever. Not that a person has to be poor or lack possessions and money to be a believer but that the rich man allowed his possessions to stand between himself and God. The rich man had fine things IE…purple and fine linen and had a lavish lifestyle (fared sumptuously). However, it was not the things that he possessed that hindered his relationship with God but the mindset that possessed him. For him, life was one continual party and evidently he gave no thought to the needs of others.

What is the mindset of a rich man? Jesus gives us an example in Luke 12:16, “And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Life, at it’s best is short. Our focus should be on completing the assignment God has given to us as His servants.

And there was a beggar named Lazarus. Luke 16:20, “And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores...” Now we see the other side of the coin. Lazarus was laid at the rich man’s porch or front gate everyday. The need was obvious. There was no avoiding the dilemma of this poor man. He was really sick with sores all over his body (probably leprosy). He had to be carried not being able to walk alone. He was probably poor because he was sick. His sickness led to his total deprivation. So, why was he sick? Could it be so that God might touch the lives of the people around him? Could it be so that God might challenge every person that crossed his path? Here was a hungry, homeless, sick brother and how many people stopped to give him aide?

Then comes the final hour! Luke 16:21, “And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” Lazarus died and was carried by angels to Heaven. The rich man died but his outcome was much different. “And in hell...” (Hades-Greek) Parallels with the Hebrew Sheol both meaning “realm of the dead.” The inference is the eternally dead without hope or deliverance.

The two people in this parable represent two different lives, two different deaths and two different eternities. Both individuals had a choice. Though Lazarus had a life of struggle, he chose to believe in his creator. The rich man, however, chose to follow his own selfish desires avoiding the needs of those around him. Lazarus sacrificed his mortal life to inherit his eternal life with Christ. The rich man sacrificed his eternal life with Christ for his mortal life. What will be your choice? Only you can determine your destiny!

Hebrews 9:26, “...but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

Getting Ready To Leave? Or, Getting Ready To Stay?

Hebrews 11:8, “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”

Your answer to this question will determine your eternal destiny. Will you assimilate into a world system governed by carnal man or the Kingdom of Heaven governed by God. The two are as different as light and darkness. Man’s ways are not God’s ways and God’s ways are not man’s ways.

In recent years we have heard many world leaders speak of the globalization of systems and nations. Globalization appears to be the dominant world view. It simply means the development of an integrated global economy marked by free trade, free flow of capital and tapping into cheaper foreign labor markets. Finance is the driving force behind most organizational entities in all the world. Money is power and power is money! However there is much more at stake here than money. To be a world player, one must be prepared to make concessions. You cannot expect to hold one hundred percent to your ideals and values and still participate successfully in the global economy. Presently, the powers that be are colluding together and many are bowing to the promise of financial power.

We are not citizens of this world! We were not created to function in this environment that engulfs all of mankind. We are created for a better world and for much greater purpose than what this world can offer. We were made to walk with God in the midst His creation in the cool of the day. We were made to share in intimate relationship with God so as to share with Him in intimate communion all the days of our lives. We were made to be free from all the human encumbrances that sin has brought upon this world.

We are not citizens of this world! We are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, we must distance ourselves from the worldliness that seeks daily to invade our lives. Manipulation is of the devil. A spirit of control is orchestrated by Satan. People in leadership roles can easily be influenced by the desire to control the outcome. God is the only true standard and His Will is the only blessed outcome! (continued)
