Anointed To Proclaim The Good Tidings!

Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;”

Lord Jesus, today I ask you to capture my mind, my heart, and my soul. Keep me, the total me, safely in your hand. Empty this vessel of all substance except YOU. Fill me full with YOUR SPIRIT. Create fresh in me the passion, power, and deliverance of your VISION! Engage my total self to procure the desire of your heart through me. Fill this emptiness with an outflow of living water, creating a worthy vessel overflowing with your love, compassion, and generosity. Help me to feel the hurting of the precious lives that surround the place of my habitation. Flow through me to aid and comfort those who are bleeding. They are bleeding out the wonder of life because of the mortal wounds of the enemy. Help me to stop the bleeding that is draining them of the very life you give. Anoint me to bring the good tidings of YOUR Gospel to a broken world.

Oh! That your Holy Spirit in me would bind up the brokenhearted, those whose hearts have been shattered by the deceitful, insidious enemy of their soul. Lord, set at liberty those held captive, held captive by their past. Release them today from their broken dreams and failed plans. Cause them to look to YOU for their total deliverance and life in YOU. In the Name of Jesus, set them free! Break the chains and open the prisons for them that are bound. May the Holy Spirit invade the dominions of Satan with such power that the chains will disintegrate at His mere presence. May the presence of Almighty God be so powerful that the prison doors be hurled from their hinges and these eternal souls be forever set free.

Lord Jesus Christ, I pray this day for your anointing to fall heavy upon the Body of Christ, that we walk as you walked, talk as you talked, and BE as YOU ARE the LIVING BREATH OF LIFE in an otherwise lifeless world. Lord, anoint us with the message of YOUR GOSPEL that all who will hear will accept YOUR LIFE and have that LIFE most ABUNDANT. Praise to our LIVING CHRIST, in JESUS' NAME! Anointed To Proclaim The Good Tidings!

The Healing Of Our Nation! by Myra Boozer

Tragedy brings people together. It also brings people to the place of feeling helpless, needing someone to care. When broken, people become open to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE. Wouldn't it be wonderful if our churches would join hand in hand, praying for the HURTING and praying for the SALVATION of this WORLD?

Churches are so divided by Doctrine and Traditions. They hardly communicate with each other...SAD...JESUS died for ALL and loves us all. We need to UNITE in HIM! He is our "Common Ground." Instead of looking at all the differences, we need to stand together in the UNITY of THE CROSS of JESUS CHRIST. SATAN IS PLEASED when we are divided. GOD IS NOT!

Lord, please help us (the Church) to reach out to each other...to ALL who believe in YOU...those who have the same HEART CRY...those who LOVE YOU and desire to walk in YOUR WAYS...those who feel the pain and suffering of the broken and destitute. BRING US TOGETHER IN LOVE FOR YOU and ALL THOSE WHO NEED YOU.

Please help me pray for this to begin in all areas of our world. There is strength in numbers and strength in people visually seeing that the CHURCH CARES.

It doesn't take much to show you CARE. But, it can make a world of difference to the person hurting. LET'S DO THIS! Pray and ask God to direct you in joining with OTHERS for a great purpose...THE HEALING OF OUR NATION!

It Is Time!

Many voices in the Church are calling the Body of Christ to Prayer. Today, we stand at the door of one of the greatest times in human history. We dare not move forward without a full understanding of the gravity of our response to the call of God and the effect of that response upon ourselves and all that our lives might touch. Our future will be defined by what we do in this moment of our choice.

Many have already been praying! Those prayers have brought us to where we are now. But, we can't stop the prayer meetings. After 9/11 we had an opportunity to seek God and turn this nation around. But the praying didn't last. After only a few weeks we drifted back to business as usual. We cannot afford to take for granted the opportunity God is giving us. This is our last chance as a nation. Pray, Church! Pray like our lives depend on it. Because they do!

Can we pray? Father God, Lord Jesus Christ, we do here and now accept your challenge to pray in travailing prayer for our world that is lost and broken. We desire the Spirit of prayer to intercede. Open our spiritual eyes and ears so we can see and hear the cries of the lost, the beaten, and the debilitated.  Teach us to understand what they are facing. Guide us to see and hear them as you do. Give us the compassion and love that you have for them so we are inspired to join in their redemption. Lift us up in the power of Your Word being fully dressed in faith to lead the captives free. Anoint us with your power that we may speak to the mountains before us and they will be moved into the sea. Let us see the prison doors spring open at the mighty thrust of Your Presence. Help us to run into the battle with such passion that others are seized with the same fervor. I can hear the sound of mighty armies engaged on the battlefield. Can we pray? It Is Time!

Joy Is Coming In The Morning! by Myra Boozer

Sorrows may last for the night

But Joy is Coming in the Morning.

Sickness may seem to have its way

But Joy is Coming in the Morning.

Heartaches my swell and your heart may bleed

But Joy is Coming in the Morning.

Friends may withhold their love from you

But Joy is Coming in the Morning.

Troubles may pound upon your door

But Joy is Coming in the Morning.

Your pantry may be empty and the rent may be due

But Joy is Coming in the Morning.

The family you have counted on, all your life may all be gone

But Joy is Coming in the Morning.

Your finances may dwindle and finally run out

But Joy is Coming in the Morning.

The night may be long and weary no doubt

But Joy is coming in the Morning!

Psalms 30:5, "...weeping may endure through the night, but joy comes with the morning."

Remember faith grows in darkness. He is Coming. Don't give up but hold to His promise! Joy Is Coming In The Morning!

Call Unto The Lord And He Will Answer You!

Psalm 3:3, “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. 5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.”

We need to be ready to leave where God is not and go to where God is! It is always important to know where we are and where God is. Where are we in relation to where God desires us to be? I personally feel the need to press in and press through the opposition of the enemy into the good that God has for me and all that I may influence. I must Call Unto The Lord!

Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God has “good” planned for those who will answer His call and follow Him in faith. He has a secured end or divine heritage. We need not question our finish if only we will heed the voice of God. He knows where He is going. He goes before us and leads the way. John 10:4, “And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.” We must determine if we are going to follow Christ whatever the cost! We must Call Unto The Lord!

Jeremiah 29:12, “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.” Oh, to Call Unto The Lord our God, to seek His face and hear and see His answers! He promises to hear and respond (hearken). Our challenge is to clearly perceive His response. The Spirit of God is pushing back against the darkness that permeates this sinful world. God is calling His warriors to come alongside Him, join in the battle and share His victory. He is calling us to our knees to intercede for a lost and dying world. Will you Call Unto The Lord?

Jeremiah 29:13, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” God is always available, “...ye shall seek me, and find me...” He is always with us. But we must have a sense of His presence to recognize His voice and to understand what he is doing or planning to do. God's promise is that we will find Him when we search for Him with all our hearts.

The human condition requires the intervention of our creator. We always stand in need of God's assistance. The question is, “Do we really want his help?” Are we willing to relinquish complete control of our lives to Him? He knows the way we take (the path we should follow) and will direct our steps accordingly.

God has a plan for us, a plan for good and not evil. He has an expected (secured) finish for His faithful, obedient children. Lord, help us to search for you with all our heart. Help us to walk in your manifest presence and to seek you with all our heart! Amen. He compassionately entreats, and pleads for us to Call Unto The Lord!

Lord, I Will Trust In You! by Myra Boozer

When I was just a young girl l felt such rejection, loss, and despair. What went wrong? How did it all fall apart? I surely had made some horrible mistake that caused my father to walk away and start a life without us. Our Mother was broken and cried so much! How would we make it? What would we do? Where would we go? We had to leave our new home, our school, our church, and all our friends behind, not knowing what was going to happen to us.

I actually felt like a rag doll with no strength or courage to go on. But You Lord became the one that I called upon. I am grateful for your love that brought me to my knees as my heart cried out in despair. You picked me up and gave me the courage to face the life I felt was utterly destroyed. I was amazed that you could bring life to something that felt so lifeless, so dead, so empty. You put a smile back on my face as I was flooded by your great mercy and grace.

You filled me with your Spirit and put a song in my heart. You allowed me to sing in many different places, my church, other churches, larger church gatherings, and Youth Camp. You Lord gave me a purpose and I began to allow you to be my Hope. You even brought my Daddy back home. It was not always easy but you put our family back together.

I saw your hand of guidance and protection everywhere. I learned that I could trust you and there was no need for despair. You looked down thru time and counted me worthy to become your child. So I must never forget your willing heart to obey your Father. There is no greater sacrifice than when you accepted your assignment and walked the dusty road to die on Calvary's wretched cross. You washed me in the blood you shed and made all my sins as white as snow. You picked me up from my hopeless life and took away my sinful guilt which freed me from the debt I never could repay.

Lord I must Trust You to work your will in my life daily. I surrender to you, at this moment and every moment. Please help me to stay surrendered for that is the only way for me to feel secure. Lord sometimes the path seems too steep and you must hold my hand, even carry me when the way seems long, difficult, and scary. I love you Lord, and I am still learning to accept your love for me. I feel unworthy!

Help me to always follow in your ways. Lord this is not an easy prayer but neither was your prayer as you prayed all night and concluded with, “Father, Not my will but thine be done!" Lord, I Will Trust In You!

Let Jesus Take Control! Conclusion

A most crucial aspect of this journey is a sense of Christ’s abiding presence. That becomes more of a reality when we allow Him to take control of our lives. When we can recognize that He is with us, we can face any task with faith and assurance that victory is secured. Gal. 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Although we walk by faith and not by sight, it is comforting to have a spiritual sense that He is walking with us in our daily lives. 2 Cor. 5:5, “Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:).” Even though Paul uses the phrase, “we are absent from the Lord,” he does so to signify the Sovereignty of Jesus Christ sitting at the right hand of God the Father. This does not negate his understanding of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in each believer.

But, how can we know that Christ is with us? We do so by growing our relationship with Him through the spiritual disciplines of a Christian life. Jesus Christ reveals His presence to us as we engage Him in Worship, Prayer, and study of the Word. It is likely that we feel separated from God when we neglect our intimate communion with Him through these disciplines.

How do we approach effective prayer, uplifting worship, and meaningful Bible study? Our purpose will dictate our approach. If your purpose is to meet with Jesus in prayer, worship, and the Word, that will remain your focus and it will happen. We will engage Christ in meaningful conversation and divine communion through prayer. We will capture the essence of celestial worship as we encounter the subject of our worship which is Jesus Christ. We will experience inspiration and revelation through enlightened Bible study as we embrace the Word of our prayer and worship. We will come away from these encounters with a renewed sense that He is with us and we CAN Let Jesus Take Control!
