Do You Need Confidence? by Myra Boozer

If you are in need of confidence (trust, reliance, assurance), turn your eyes to the Lord Jesus. That is where our help comes from. There is no greater power or greater force than God. Yes, God uses man sometimes to take care of the things that we may need. But, for the one who created this whole universe and hung it in space, He really doesn't need anyone to help Him, but He allows us to be part of His great plan.

Put your trust in Him, and your confidence will rise knowing this. Psalms 40:11, "Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD, let thy loving kindness and thy truth continually preserve me." It is He who gives us life and all that we need ONE DAY AT A TIME. “For in thee O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God,” Psalm 38:15.

When we truly BELIEVE, then we will be filled with confidence, not in ourselves, but in God. "Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies," Psalm 40:4.

Hope When Times Are Hopeless!

John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled…”

The storms of life will continue to rage. They will continue to take their toll on both the body and mind. They will become more intense before they are concluded, and all human ingenuity and effort cannot contain them. Only Divine intervention can change their course.

But tomorrow is coming when they will all pass away. The clouds will be dispersed and the Son will rise and shine at the beginning of a perfect day. The Day Star will rise, casting all imperfection into yesterday and will lead us into our pure, unspoiled future. Jesus gave us this promise.

John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

This very moment, as we battle the storms in our lives, Jesus is making provision for us. He is providing the spiritual fortitude to bring us through the storms and also preparing our final destination to be with Him. We must place our hand in His and let Him lead us there. There is no storm, no trial, no test or battle that He cannot navigate. In fact, He allows the storms to come to help us grow and mature as His disciples. He is teaching us to recognize the best path. He is teaching us that He is always with us, and we are learning to recognize Him in our storm. God uses the storms to fashion His faith, His trust, and His assurance in us. Faith that His promises are sure, trust that it is His voice we hear, and assurance that no matter where the storms may carry us, He is always there. Matt. 28:20, “...and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world...”

Christ has promised to go with us, sustain us, and deliver us. What we must do is walk with Him. We belong to Him, and He has paid a great price for our deliverance and nothing can take us out of His hand if we will only trust and obey Him.

My soul craves the peace of God's presence. In His stillness, I find peace and rest. He lifts me above this world's raging storm. He quiets the winds and calms the blustery waves. He commands “peace, be still,” and my life returns. He is my Hope When Times Are Hopeless!

My Lion Of Judah! by Myra Boozer

Oh Father, not of myself, no good thing have I done to deserve you. You are what is Good in my life! You are my Bright and Morning Star! You shine bright even when the clouds are gray and the sun doesn't shine, when the storm clouds gather and the wind is howling.

I am settled in the fact that you are here with me even when I don't feel you or see you. I feel great assurance of your presence.

Forever you reign and forever your love trails after me. Your heart beats inside of me, sometimes like a drum from the Islands.

The songs of jubilation and redemption come upon me like the rushing sounds of a great waterfall. My heart is made glad with such splendor. The sounds of Victory and Deliverance are mighty.

Like David of old, I sing a new song!

You will defeat the enemy, the one who is sly as a fox. You know where he lives, and you have a mandate to capture and defeat him. Forever, he will be under your feet, defeated and destroyed! You Lord are the Lion of Judah, and You Reign Forever!

Rev. 22:16, “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

Are You Listening?

Matthew 13:13, “Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.”

Jesus spoke to His generation in parables to better illustrate the Godly principles about the Kingdom of God. The religious leaders of Israel would not embrace those teachings that were the literal Word from God. They were learned men of the Scripture and should have made the connection between the prophecies of the Messiah and His coming. They could have received the Gospel but chose to hang on to a dead religion. Their unwillingness to hear the Living Word of God doomed them to eternal death.

God is speaking to this generation. He is anointing His messengers to bring His Word to this people. God has so much He wants to tell us! He wants to prepare us for what is ahead, but many cannot hear. Why can they not hear? They hear the words, only the words! The Gospel is being preached! The Holy Ghost is warning of the end time! But, they are listening with their ears and not their heart. Jesus said, They have eyes to see but cannot see, they have ears to hear but cannot hear.

Just as that generation who heard the message of Jesus rejected the truth of the Gospel, many will hear this message and reject it. What happened to that generation? They missed their opportunity for salvation and deliverance by their Messiah because their religion closed their spiritual eyes and ears. I fear that there are some today who will miss this great opportunity to see the unrestrained revelation of Jesus, their Savior, because their religion has closed their eyes and ears to the Truth. Jesus is coming and soon.  Are you ready? Matthew 24:44, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” Are You Listening?

Will You Hear? by Myra Boozer

Jesus is standing in the defense of all who will trust Him. He is our Divine protector against all evil. He is Alive and He is Coming for all those who love Him (not casual love but love with a commitment and a covenant). We have no need to fear evil because Jesus is our bodyguard!

JESUS has conquered death, hell, and the grave, and He won't let His Bride be destroyed by any enemy. He has made a way for us to have love, joy, and peace in the pavilion He has made for us. Even in the dark days, He is our HOPE, He is our Future, He is our Savior!

But we, like Ezekiel, need to hear, "The word of the LORD came unto me saying." We must be able to communicate with Christ because He is our great Intercessor to the Father. He is our daily guide and our very life's sustainer. How can we survive without talking to Him? We must know He is near and listening to our cries when we face daily battles with the enemy of our souls.

Lord, our greatest quest is to hear your voice and know your desire for us. Lord, help me to listen intently. I want to obey, but I must be still and quiet to hear you today. So much is going on in my mind and my heart. Lord you can calm all the thoughts and direct my steps.

I will trust in you and sing your song. It may be low, very low this morning as the tears flow. But you understand as I feel the needs of my family and friends heavy on my heart. Help me to just hand all these thoughts, prayers, and urgent needs to you and allow you to take care of each one of them. My job is to gather them one by one and bring them to you in Faith. You are the Healer! You are the Deliverer! You are the Heart Mender! You are the Peace Giver! You are the Lifter of our Heads! You Lord, are the one who really cares for us. We belong to you because of the cross.

I pray this prayer for my family and all who need an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. May you learn to love the sound of God's voice in your ear. May you cultivate such a heart for Peace and a heart at Rest that you fully Trust your Father to lead you in the Way that you should go. May you lose your taste for the things that weaken you. May you develop a hunger and thirst for all God has for you. May you receive a fresh revelation of God's Love and Promises for you. You are a gifted treasure, a loved person, and you're called to impact the world in a way that only you can. May the Love of Christ constrain you and compel you in the days ahead. May He open your eyes to the new territory awaiting you. Will You Hear?

Jesus Will Win This War!

Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Don’t grow “weary in well doing.”  Persecutions and afflictions are synonymous with being a disciple of Christ. Actually, tests and trials are the anthem of the “born again.”  Paul testified to the deliverance of Christ because Christ brought him through persecutions and afflictions. 2Tim. 3:10, “But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.”

The Lord Jesus delivered Paul out of them all. That was Paul’s testimony. Paul “endured” hardness (to suffer, be afflicted) as a good soldier of the Cross therefore, he could instruct Timothy to do the same. 2 Tim. 2:2, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 3Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

Persecution will become more intense as we approach the coming of Jesus Christ and the consummation of all things. 2 Tim. 3:12, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;”

Though the enemy rises up to interfere with our mission, our victory has already been secured. Jesus declared victory at Calvary when He embraced the role of His sacrifice.  Psalm 22:14, “I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.” Jesus poured Himself out on the cross, and there is power in the blood of his sacrifice to empower us to finish His mission here.

Take heart, be encouraged, we’ve read the last chapter in His Book. Jesus Christ is victorious. Put your trust in Him. Walk in His strength. He will provide everything we need to successfully complete our mission. Jesus Will Win This War!

Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
