Living In Splendor! by Myra Boozer

Do you ever wonder about the home the Lord has gone to prepare for you? Will it be a villa by the beautiful sea or a chalet in the mountains? I don't know what it will be like. I sure don't need to have anything fancy. I can just hang out by the crystal sea and sit on the beach for a long time. Then, I can come and visit you in your new home and we can talk about all the things that we don't have time to talk about down here.

Oh, we will not talk of our insecurities, our lack of trust or hope, or any of our sickness. The bills will all be paid, no talk of politics, or the school system. No talk about what is going on next door or the way the people are treating little children...abandoning them and leaving them on the streets and even aborting them before they are born.

No talk of all the shootings and robberies and the vulgar filth that is on the TV and the movie theaters. No talk of drugs, alcohol, and abuse...or talk of drama, and fake people, no talk of the Grammy Awards or any worldly status.

No talk of needing goats to send to the needy...no talk of needing clean water for little thirsty children. We will all be happy, healthy, and completely whole, living in the splendor of a Righteous God who will feed us from His Throne forever and ever.

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know." John 14:2-4 

The Dreams Of Life Refocused!

Matthew 16:26, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

(I wrote this some time ago on a wet, dreary day, inspired by a little gray squirrel). As I sit looking out my window, I observe nature at work in my world. The rain is falling at a steady pace and a gray squirrel is running from place to place appearing to be searching for food he has stored. His work must continue whether sunshine or rain. No matter the weather or circumstance each day brings the same responsibility and need for provision and survival.

We have a lot in common with my little squirrel. We rush at a hurried pace from place to place searching for whatever we perceive to be the needs of life. And we do that for the entirety of our lives. We rush through our childhood wishing that we were older so we can participate in the games of life. Whether it is to attain the age of 13 to be a teenager, or 16 to get a driver's license, on we go experiencing the magic of age, graduating high school, and maybe college.

We hurry through those magical years thinking that by “obtaining” our lives will be fulfilled. We find a mate, get married, and start a family. We are so very busy learning how to be a companion, parent, and provider, thinking that life will slow down at some point and we can begin to enjoy who we are and what we do. So, we rush through the early family years thinking that when the children get older, we land that perfect job or we achieve this or that all will be “better” and we can slow down and enjoy the life we have created.

And, before you know it the children are all grown up, have chosen mates, and have started families of their own. Then we rush through the grandparent years helping our children and grandchildren to do the same as we have done. We are rushing through time achieving, thinking all along this journey that at some point we will slow down and enjoy the life we have created for ourselves and our families. However, We must plan for the present with the end in view. (continued) 

Are You All Tangled Up? by Myra Boozer

The BIG fish seemed to be a death trap for Jonah, but it was a life preserver! "Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights," Jonah 1:17.

Sometimes the situations we find ourselves in seem hopeless and we feel helpless. Don't despair! You may be all wrapped up and tangled up in the seaweeds of this world, but keep calling on Jesus. Call out with a heart of repentance and surrender to HIS will. He will hear you!

God is in control of every situation that touches your life. He knows your name. He can turn things around. He can move into the darkest crevice of your world and set things in motion that you never dreamed about. He can break every yoke that binds you!

He can bring about your "release" just like Jonah. You too can be cast out onto dry land, maybe a beach. Take notice, this is where many forget the long nights of agony, suffering, and total despair. This can be the time you forget the prayers of repentance and the promises you made to God while you were chained.

Desperation brings about many promises that end up on the "To-Do List." The smell of the fresh air and seeing the daylight can cause a freed person to rise up with an attitude of, "I made it! I am strong! I am resilient! I will survive!”

Hold on, this new beginning of freedom is a place of opportunity to do what God asked you to do from the beginning. To Obey Him! Your release did not happen because of your own ability, but because of His great mercy, and receiving what "you didn't deserve." Your hope is not because of your strength but His and His alone. This new-found freedom isn't to be taken for granted, it is the gift of God. Your new directions will NOT come because of your intelligence but because He knows the way you should take.

Trust in the Lord with your whole heart. Follow Him and you will not become entangled with this world again.

Warning! If by chance you forget your promises, Jesus may stop reminding you and allow you to go the way you choose. Any path other than His path leads to destruction. 

Jesus Gives Life!

It is time for a better way of living! Would you like to wipe the slate clean and begin fresh and brand new? You can in the Lord Jesus Christ! Jesus said, “...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Jesus’ promise is far more than being alive in this mortal body. His hearers already had that physical presence. He was referring to life at its very best which included a personal relationship with Him and a life in His Spirit.

Jesus Christ put on human nature for the attainment of man's salvation. Therefore, Jesus could say, “I am come that they might have life.” He came to live and die to become a sacrifice for the sins of all men and deliver us from sin's punishment. The punishment for sin is death. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” By His death and resurrection, Jesus has introduced us to a life previously unavailable. Thereby bringing all who will believe into the realm of His Spirit to walk with Him in this life and live with Him in the life to come for eternity!

Jesus has made it possible for you to rise above a mere existence in this world to a Life in His Spirit. Though storms will come, He is there to calm the turmoil. Though you’ll need to make difficult choices, He is there to be your guide. Though the world is against you, He is for you and victory is guaranteed. Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Jesus is offering you A Better Way To Live!

We lift your Name on High…

We sing Your song of Truth and Freedom...

We plant our hopes and dreams in the soil of Your Holy Word...

Your provision to care for this garden is etched deep into our hearts…

You are the Master Gardner of our souls...

You are the one who tends to the tender plants of our expectations...

You hold the sun in your hand and the rain is at your command...

The warmth comes in due season and the harvest will be plentiful...

You are always near and never far...

You are always there to guard against the storms and dangers that come to destroy...

You are the Hope of my heart today and forever...

I trust in YOU… 

A Better Way To Live!

Job 23:8, “Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: 9On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: 10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”

Job describes our dilemma and the solution to our problem. His writing illustrates the limitations of our carnal flesh. I go forward, backward, right, and left but I cannot see Him. True, we can not see Him if we are walking in the flesh. We must commit our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and trust Him because He knows the way that we should live.

Are you sick and tired of the way your life is going? Are you disappointed with the outcome which you expected to be totally different? Are you frustrated with all the empty promises you have received which have not materialized? If you expect your life to be different, then you need to change your approach. If you keep living the same way and doing the same things, you will continue to get the same result. If you are tired of being beaten up by this worldly system, it is time for a change! It is time for a better way of living! Would you like to wipe the slate clean and begin fresh and brand new? You can in the Lord Jesus Christ! (continued) 

Jesus Is More Than Enough! by Myra Boozer

John 4:13, “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”

I found this statement a while ago and it has been an inspiration...."God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." When the desires of this world can fade away like a fog lifting off the valley, I believe that we find a new perspective about life, love, and our relationship with others, especially God. He just fills our every longing and desire. We no longer are pushed and pressured into needing anything except Him and His presence. It is no longer about me and what I must attain or receive from this world. He becomes my focus. He brings my life to the fullest and my heart can sing in the midst of chaos because I know He Is More Than Enough for today, tomorrow, and forever...and He always has leftovers...His storehouse is FULL... 

Power In The Name Of Jesus!

John 14:12, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

There is power in the name of Jesus! There is power to break every chain. Power to live for Christ and walk in unbridled victory. Free to flow in the Spirit and experience His presence from glory to glory. He leads us up, higher and higher into His Majesty. For having been exposed to His glorious Light we will never be the same.

We are changed in His presence. We can never be the same once His glory has shown upon us. We are changed forever and He has planted such a desire to reach higher. His presence is so addictive that no sooner than you walk away, you have an unquenchable need to return.

And we can return again and again. There is no limit to the glory we can experience in His presence. Simply come to Him in obedience and submission and He will carry you to heights previously unknown. He will reveal to you truths you haven't understood and emotions you've never experienced. But most of all He will reveal Himself to you and in you so that the world around you can see Him and be touched by Him, “that the father may be glorified in the Son.” 

When Doors Close! by Myra Boozer

When all doors seem to close...and you know that God has spoken and given you a "Word"... a Word from His heart and you know there are people who need to hear that word...What do you do? Do you just back down and say maybe it was just my imagination? Maybe I was wrong, maybe I didn't hear correctly. NO, a thousand times no! You must be persistent! You must stand your ground against defeat. You must not waver because when God gives a Word, He will make a way for it to go forward for His intended purpose. So, when the doors seem to close in front of you, look for a window and begin to shout loud and clear the message God gave you. It will NOT return void or empty but it will touch, inspire, or encourage someone. Don't grow weary when doing God's will...for in His Time He will exalt you and show the world those who are His! 

No Longer A Slave To Fear And Unbelief!

Luke 24:21, “But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.”

The disciples were dejected and depressed because they had believed that Jesus was the one to “have redeemed” Israel but this “is the third day since these things were done.”  It is noteworthy that this conversation took place on the third day. Jesus had taught them that He would go to Jerusalem and there He would die. But, He also taught them that He would be raised on the third day. Jesus had revealed the plan of God to them. However, they were so consumed with His death that Satan had stolen the most important part, the promise of His resurrection. This was the day of their salvation, redemption, and victory, but they just could not see it!

These disciples were going through all the emotions of losing someone close to their hearts. The first emotion was denial, the absolute disbelief that this could happen to them. All the signs appeared to point to Jesus as the Messiah. How could they have been so wrong about Him? They were experiencing the intrusion of a life-altering doubt, a crippling doubt that would cause them to question all the things previously discerned to have been settled. How could they ever trust their emotions and discernment after suffering such a debilitating loss? They had dared to love and trust so deeply that their lives were forever changed by this experience. God's plan was proceeding on schedule just as Jesus had prophesied. It just wasn't time for their resurrection revelation.

How often do we find ourselves in the position of denial and question, “Why are these harsh circumstances developing around us?” We are susceptible to cry out in absolute disbelief, “I can't believe this is happening to me!” This position makes us vulnerable and opens the door for Satan to rush in and steal our faith. In extreme cases, just like the disciples, our soul can be seized with such life-altering doubt our Christian service is totally paralyzed and we cannot proceed further. In that moment, we should run to God and fall upon our faces in prayer! If we will seek His face in submission, He will throw off the chains of dejection and depression as we heed the burning desire of the Holy Spirit that lives within us. We are never alone. Heb. 13:5, “...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

We can place our total confidence in the promises the Lord has given us. He will never fail us! What He has promised, He will fulfill so there is no need to fear!

YOUR LIGHT...

Lord, I get lost without your light shinning on my path.

I find I am alone and hopeless, fearful and afraid.

Your Light reveals my great need of you.

It warms my heart and fills my soul.

It opens my eyes and helps me see clearly.

It captures my interest and floods my mind.

It settles all my concerns and comforts my anxiety.

It rolls my cares right off my back.

It thrills my heart and causes me to rejoice.

It opens my mouth to sing your praise.

It drives me onward to face the new day

with peace, hope and love.

So I mount up, as with eagles wings...

And I soar, Yes I Soar... Because of your great Light!

“The LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall

I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom

shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

Allow His Light to invade your world. He will change

your heart and bring HOPE into your circumstance...

Making your deepest and darkest days to be filled with

the Light of His Resurrection Power...Revealing His

abundant love for you and your family...

There is a Light that forever shines...That Light brings

deliverance from all the darkness and sets you in a

position of high ascent...

You are no longer a slave to sin but adopted into

The Royal Family of God...forever and ever. Amen! 

Choose Eternal Life!

John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

Life just happens! But serving Jesus Christ requires deliberate action. Life will go on all around you and you don’t have to do a thing. You can sit and watch the sun rise and set and not lift a finger to do anything and life will still go on. Babies are born and death takes others away but life goes on. Some people are thrilled to the heavens about life and others are depressed enough to die but life goes on. Whether we choose to participate in life or not, life will continue to move forward, moving us into our future and our eternity. But it does matter the choice each individual makes regarding their life. It is so important that we choose eternal life in Jesus Christ and take deliberate action to serve Him. Take advantage of the opportunities God gives you today to assure that your eternity includes Him! Choose Eternal Life! 

The Worth Of A Soul! by Myra Boozer

(I wrote this some time ago but the message is still relevant for today.)

I was awakened in the early morning hours with this thought, “The worth of a soul!” My thoughts automatically went to the scripture. "Behold, all souls are mine..." Ezekiel 18:4a. I actually went back to sleep and the thought was with me when I got up. I was searching and thinking, “The worth of a soul?” It has got to be enormous because of the price Jesus paid. He bought us with his precious blood. So we are valuable! But how valuable? What are we worth?

Some may put a great value upon themselves thinking of themselves more highly than they should. But they will never come to the value that God the Father and His Son have placed upon them. What makes something worth anything? Something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it!

I found this in an article that came from Rescuing Wayward Children. "Can we imagine that the Savior, innocent of sin, who had assumed the staggering weight of the demands of justice until vessels broke and blood seeped from every pore of His suffering body, who had submitted Himself to brutal beatings, to unconscionable humiliation, to arrogant injustice, to the torture of a thirty-nine-lash scourging, to the horror of being stripped and stretched violently upon a cross, to being raised up to hang, full-body weight, from those spikes until He allowed death to overwhelm Him – can we imagine that after the Redeemer had paid that immeasurable price to ransom every individual, that He would lose interest in a sinner, give up, or stop short of His rescuing effort?"

Wow, this was overwhelming for me to read. I don't usually go that deep into my thinking about His suffering. I much rather think of His Resurrection. It makes me smile and rejoice in the fact that because He lives, I can live also.

But to find my answer I had to acquaint myself afresh with His suffering. I had to go there and experience the thoughts of what He was so willing to pay. He paid the ultimate price for me and for YOU. That puts a big price tag on us, all because of Him, not because of any good thing we have done.

It will take a revelation from the Lord for us to see people in the same light that Jesus does. "When we fix our eyes on what is really important to God it will be people." Jesus died for ALL PEOPLE! He paid the price making each one as valuable as the other. When our eyes are opened we will "see the great value and plan that God has for all people." 

Where Is Their God?

Joel 2:17, “…Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?"

The Church of Jesus Christ stands at a pivotal point in our commission for the last days harvest. Our response to the call of God will bear directly upon the salvation of souls. Will I be responsible for souls being lost that could have been saved had I been obedient to the prompting of the Holy Ghost? That is the eternal question!

Joel 2:15, "Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: 16.Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. 17Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?"

Joel repeated his call of 2:1. The difference here is a call to national repentance to be performed in a national gathering of all the people before God. The priests were to proclaim a day of humiliation for all the people regardless of age or distinction. Joel summons all ranks and classes to assemble in the Temple for this solemn service.

Sanctify the people! The people were to prepare themselves for this solemn time. Under the Law, they were to wash themselves and their clothes. They were commanded to cleanse themselves from all impurities and to offer sacrifice for any transgressions of the Law. To be obedient was to be purged and made worthy to be presented before the Lord in His house!

Assemble the elders, children, and babies. No one should be excluded. Even the bride and the bridegroom were to delay their festivities for this solemn assembly. Everything must STOP and all attention must focus on the Lord of glory.

The priests, the ministers of the Lord were commanded to take the lead in this sacred work of penitence. They are compelled by the greatness of the national trespass to stand weeping and praying between the porch and the altar. It was here, in the open court, that the priest with his face toward the inner court and the altar, that he turned his petition toward God in supplication for the sins of the people.

As I read this text, I cannot help but think what would happen if God's people would approach God with the same intensity as was required here! Such fervency would drive us all to our knees in convulsive groans of agony for the needs of the lost and Christ's Church alike. I am reminded of Jesus' encounter with the weight of His destiny as He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. "And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground." Luke 22:44. Is not our destiny just as relevant? He (Christ) has given us as the Body of Christ the urgent task of carrying the message of deliverance to all creation. Do we not languish in such a state of national trespass in desperate need of the sacred work of penitence? God help us to fall helplessly into His embrace and become an example and instrument of His salvation and deliverance. God send your fire among us. May the Holy Spirit set us ablaze so that we will never be the same. Change us Lord into what you desire us to become. Make us instruments of your salvation. There is a change coming! Are we willing to be changed so that the world can see the True and Living God working in our midst? 

Jesus Knows Every Heart! by Myra Boozer

Jesus plainly told the people (the Pharisees and Scribes) when He was here on earth, that He and His Father were one. He also told them His Father gave Him the Authority to do the things He did.

Wow! They did not like that one little bit. They were so angry with him. They tried to trick Him all the time and were so ready to find fault with Him. They did not believe Him to be the Son of God. They were continually taking apart every word He spoke. Even though they knew the Word, they would not accept Him, the Word incarnate, God in the flesh!

Jesus was very clear about who He was and it was very clear to Him as to who they were because He saw their hearts. They were very religious, but they didn't want to accept Him and they didn't.

No one can fool Jesus! Even though they knew the law, they read it day and night, He saw their hearts. No matter how much knowledge one has about the Word, he must accept the Word in the flesh. JESUS is the Son of the living God! He is the ONLY way to the FATHER!

" Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake." John 14:11 

God's Gift Of Redemptive Grace!

The Truth of God’s redemptive grace is exercised in the gift and sacrifice of His Son Jesus, our Messiah. Why would God make such a sympathetic offering? The answer lies in the text of John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” All that desire the Truth will navigate toward the Light of God, make the necessary adjustments in the strength of Jesus Christ, and walk in His Truth.

We are born into this life carrying this enormous burden called “sin.” The entire human race was plunged into a state of sin due to the disobedience of our mother and father, Adam and Eve. They fell for the Serpent’s temptation and ate the forbidden fruit. God placed a curse upon the earth because of their disobedience.

God has included all under sin that He might offer a remedy. Galatians 3:22, “But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe...26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Jesus Christ is God’s Gift Of Redemptive Grace to this lost and dying world. The Truth of His redemptive grace reaches into the darkest crevices of life to illuminate the path of lost mankind. Look to Jesus, our Messiah, today and be loosed from the penetrating, consuming darkness enveloping our world. Jesus will deliver you and empower you to walk in the freedom that only He can give! Receive God's Gift Of Redemptive Grace!

Peace That Liberates The Soul! by Myra Boozer

Peace like a river flows from the Throne of our God. It is so clear and pure, rich in mercy and overflowing with Everlasting Life. It declares freedom for the prisoner...freedom from the chains that bind the hearts and lives of the sick, the depressed and broken...

It is being released for all who are thirsty...to all who desire to be set free from this dry and thirsty land of deceit...free from the synthetic and make-believe peace that is being manufactured by politicians and even some so called Christians.

Lord your peace is genuine...it is perfect. It not only sets us free it gives us the ability to live in this messed up world with Hope...set free with a great desire to be Real, Healed and Whole...

The soul of man cannot survive on any other source other than the True and Living Waters that flow from your Throne. It is the Peace that passes all our human understanding. It will soothe our doubts and calm all our fears.

Lord may we have the fortitude to seek you and find you. May we be submissive to your passionate and unwavering love toward us. May we allow you to set us free. It is your great desire for each of us... 

It's Time To Come Home!

In the book of Luke, chapter 15, a certain man had two sons. The youngest of them decided he wanted to go out and make his mark in the world. So he took his portion of his father’s goods and went away into a far country. There he wasted his inheritance in riotous living. “And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want,” Luke 15:14. He found himself living with pigs and no one would help him. However, it was while he suffered in those deplorable conditions that his sense of home returned to him. Luke 15:17, “And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. 20 And he arose, and came to his father.”

In that terrible place and demeaning position he began to think about home and the pleasant memories of serving in his father's house. He came to his right senses saying, “I will arise and go to my father...” v17. His sense of guilt and remorse brought him to a state of repentance making him willing to be a servant in his father's house. He left his deplorable life and returned to his father. His father received him with open arms declaring, “...my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry,” v.24.

It’s Time To Come Home! It doesn’t matter where you are or how deplorable your life. Your Heavenly Father wants you to know that He loves you and stands waiting with His arms open, ready to welcome you home. Come on home son or daughter! Your provision is in Your Father’s house!

John 6:35, “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” 

My Life Is In Your Hands! by Myra Boozer

Psalms 62:5, “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.”

Lord, my life is in your hands. My tears are in your bottle. All my days have been written in your Book.

Lord my life is in your hands. I will not be overwhelmed for the terror by night nor the arrow that flies by day. Because you love me, I will come when you call.

James 5:7, “Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” 

He (Jesus) Walks With Me! Conclusion

(for part 1 see 1/11/24)

A most crucial aspect of this journey is the sense of Christ’s abiding presence. If we can recognize that He is with us, we can face any task with faith and assurance that victory is secured. Gal. 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Although we walk by faith and not by sight, it is comforting to have a tactile as well as a spiritual sense that He is walking with us in our daily lives. 2 Cor. 5:5, “Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:).” Even though Paul uses the phrase, “we are absent from the Lord,” he does so to signify the Sovereignty of Jesus Christ sitting at the right hand of God the Father. This does not negate his understanding of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in each believer.

But, how can we know that Christ is with us? We do so by growing our relationship with Him through the spiritual disciplines of a Christian life. I want to briefly address 3 of those disciplines, Prayer, Worship and study of the Word. Jesus Christ reveals His presence to us as we engage Him in Worship, Prayer and study of the Word. It is likely that we feel separated from God when we neglect our intimate communion with Him through these disciplines.

How do we approach effective prayer, uplifting worship and meaningful Bible study. The manner in which we approach these activities will directly impact the result. I have found that prayer and worship must precede enlightened Bible study which leads to inspiration and revelation.

Our purpose will dictate our approach. If your purpose is to meet with Jesus in prayer, worship and the Word, that will remain your focus and it will happen. We will engage Christ in meaningful conversation and divine communion through prayer. We will capture the essence of celestial worship as we encounter the subject of our worship which is Jesus Christ. We will experience inspiration and revelation through enlightened Bible study as we embrace the Word of our prayer and worship. We will come away from these encounters with a renewed sense that Jesus is with us and He Walks With Me! 

Trust In The Lord! by Myra Boozer

Trust isn't a big word but it sure brings about BIG changes in the lives of those who can open their heart and wrap their mind around it. Oh, the peace it can bring to a troubled soul...the calm assurance that comes all packaged with peace is priceless. It will pick you up and carry you in its arms if you will only yield your will to His will and surrender your thoughts to His thoughts. Nothing like living in the shelter of His covering. The storms have to bow at His command and the wind has to cease. At His command, all creation has to listen and do what He says. Thank you, Lord, for taking care of me! I will TRUST in You!

Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” 

He (Jesus) Walks With Me!

1 John 3:1, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”

Today, as I meditate on the presence and influence of Jesus Christ in my daily life, the words of a song by Sarah McCracken comes to mind. I am including a link,   https://youtube/1QEchFtxVi4. The title is “He Walks With Me,” and it goes like this:

Though now we have trials, we wait for salvation.

Though tested by fire, we suffer with joy.

By His great mercy, our hope has been born again.

Faithful as the morning, we are raised up with Christ.

And I cannot see Him, but oh how I love Him.

I cannot see Him, but I believe.

I know He walks with me. I believe that He walks with me.

We will face trials and testing in the days ahead! But, we have a companion who walks with us to provide for every need. Jesus will make a way through every difficult experience. 1 Cor. 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” We will not face any trial or test that is not being experienced by other human beings. The testing is the same for all, just different faces with the determining factor for victory being the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ in one’s life.

The challenge we face is allowing Jesus Christ to fully control our lives. It is a struggle for us to relinquish our independence and allow Him to lead the way. However, He is immensely more qualified than we are to determine the correct path. He knows the way that we should go. Our heart cry should be to go where He is going. Therefore, we must submit to His leading to go along with Him. 

Redeemed By The Blood Of Jesus! by Myra Boozer

The days are evil and the storms of life are raging...The enemy has come in like a flood as it rips through our land trying to wash away every grain of truth and justice that has prevailed in our country since the beginning of her existence. Turmoil has found a landing on the steps of every home and the heart of every man, woman and child. The winds of this world whisper, “you are alone and no one is interested in your sorrow...just forget about finding refuge in the soul of another human being...Trust only in your might and none other...no one cares or is able to lift you above the muddy waters of this terrible swift and raging current.”

But wait, I hear the chirping of the sparrow and see the Eagle on the highest bough...and listen to the breeze as it sings the sweetest song...Redeemed, You are redeemed...you have been purchased, bought with a price...counted worthy to be forgiven and you are FREE...This is no time to be discouraged...God is allowing us to build strong faith in HIM and not our circumstances. No mortal relationship can save us! We are Redeemed by the Blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ! 

Are You Searching For Truth? Conclusion

2 Timothy 3:7, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

In this passage, Paul is writing to young Timothy describing the evil which will come upon the earth in the last days. He describes all sorts of sins and evil behavior which will captivate the human race just before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. If we read and study the depth of this passage with an open mind and honest heart before God, we must declare that we are living in a time comparable to what Paul described. Indeed we are living in the last days.

One key factor that Paul spoke about is described in verse 7. He prophesied of a time when mankind would be always in pursuit of education but never able to understand Divine Truth. We are living in an era when education has become a god. A testament to the pursuit of education is the volume of debt created by college students just in the last decade. “The total amount of outstanding student loans reached an all-time high in 2019, at $1.41 trillion, according to the credit reporting agency Experian. That's a 6% increase from 2018 and a whopping 33% spike since 2014, when total debt was $1.06 trillion.” All that money spent on a higher education but still unable to understand the most basic Biblical Truths. We are living in the last days of the Last Days.

God is still revealing His Truth to submissive and receptive hearts! But God has not revealed His Truth in its totality, yet! Habakkuk 2:2, “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” God has a message yet for an appointed time. Though it tarry, wait for it. At the end it shall speak and be confirmed by Heaven!

Jesus said that when the Spirit of Truth has come, He will lead “you into all Truth.” Every living person can receive a greater understanding of the person and work of God. Regardless of one’s intellectual and academic achievement, God can still teach us a thing or two.

The Old Testament character of Job comes to mind. When Job attempted to state his case before God, he understood his place in creation relative to the Creator. God said to Job in 38:8, “Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? 9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it, 10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, 11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?” I think of this encounter as putting life in perspective. The implication to Job was, where were you Job when God spoke all things into existence?

We are mortal men like Job. The creation of God must be subject to God.  Job 40:2, “Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? He that reproveth God, let him answer it.” God is the instructor and we are His students. God still wants to reveal His Truth to submissive, receptive hearts!

Jesus also stated that when the Spirit of Truth has come “he will shew you things to come.” There is much that God would share with us if we were in the position to receive. However, we must leave the realm of the carnal man and walk in newness of life given in the Spirit. Human intellect is not a proper position for Divine revelation. In a spiritual sense, we must position ourselves to receive God’s Truth. There is a way that seems right to man but the end is death, Proverbs 14:12. God’s desire is to reveal His Truth to His children but, we must go God’s way. He will guide us in the path that we should go. All we need to do is follow Him into His Truth! 

Righteousness Exalts A Nation! by Myra Boozer

America started out with a humble respect for God and country...to the point of saying, "In God We Trust" on our money and "One Nation under God" in our pledge to the flag. We are a far cry from where we started out. Men have devised their own way and left God out.

I believe God wants all people everywhere to acknowledge Him and He will Bless those who do. He alone will judge the ways of man. He will discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that does not! Psalm 9:17, "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and ALL the nations that forget God." Psalm 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people chosen for his own inheritance.” Proverbs 14:34, "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Every believer has a challenge before them to rise in the face of our enemy and say, “We proclaim the Truth of God’s Holy Word as revealed to us by His Holy Spirit.”

Are we a Christian Nation? Do we want to be a Christian Nation? The statement has been made that we are a "post-Christian Nation." Does that bother you? What can we do about it?

There is actually only one thing I can do and that is "Be Christian," be who I am, and do everything in my power and ability to live out Christian values as the Holy Spirit convicts me. I can not change the world! I can only change myself and my choices. I refuse to stoop to the level that the world is following. It may seem insane or ridiculous to you but it is my responsibility as a child of God to stand my ground and give my life for what I believe to be truth. Whether you agree or not, my decisions are not based on your feelings but upon the truth revealed by the Holy Spirit that lives in my heart. I must stand by God’s Word or why would I claim to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

I think we are really no longer a Christian nation because many who call themselves “Christian” have decided to “make the rules” instead of "God Rule." When we don’t follow the dictates of our heart with God being our rule then we have no rule. We only do what is best or most appealing to us and our own desires. This leaves God out of the picture altogether...even if we call ourselves Christian, we are not. (continued) 

Are You Searching For Truth?

Proverbs 21:2, “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.”

I have noticed in my latter years that one thought continues to present itself in my walk with God. “Live every day of your life with the end in mind.” Our vision of the end will invariably determine the subject of our focus on every day of our lives. With that in mind, I continue to reach for the Truth of God to envelope my soul and deliver me from this house of flesh.

Are you searching for the Truth or are you looking for something that will fit your list of Religious principles? Solomon stated that every “man is right in his own eyes.” Our human tendency is to justify what we want. We want so badly to think that what we believe is the Truth, consequently, we try to make the Scriptures fit our lives. The correct approach is to make our lives fit the Scriptures. When we attempt to re-make God’s standard to fit our ideals and values, we drastically diminish the power of God’s Word, limiting it to only what we receive and understand.

Is it the Truth because we comprehend it to be so? Truth is Truth regardless of whether we receive it or understand it. Truth is not based on our perception, acceptance, or denial. Truth is the very character of our Creator. God is Truth! And His character is revealed to us through the Scriptures and in the persons of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Jesus stated in John 14:6, “...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Jesus promised His disciples an Advocate to come after His departure and declared that Advocate to be the Spirit of Truth. John 16:13, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

If we want to understand Truth, we must cultivate a personal relationship with the one who is Truth. To receive and understand Truth is to receive the Lord Jesus Christ, submit to His counsel, be obedient to His discipline, and completely surrender to Him. If we will continue to walk in obedience and seek the revelation of God’s Word, we will move forward in Truth. (continued)

What should we be concerned about TODAY? Truth is a major issue that keeps getting twisted in lies and more lies. Some things just get swept under the rug while others continue to be proclaimed from the roof top. The bottom line is, we need Truth to prevail. The more we seek Truth, the more we can recognize lies when they are presented.

There is so much deception in our world. Every one seems to have their own song and dance routine. They dance to a different beat. Sometimes that beat is unsure, not clear, just not accurate, but because it is their drum and their inspiration they continue to beat.

It is time for us to find the Master Conductor and fall at His feet, so that we may receive the correct notes and play the sound that the world needs to hear.  No, everyone does not play the same notes and sometimes everyone stops for that loud sound of the cymbal. In the scope of a beautiful masterpiece, everyone follows the conductor.

No one should be alone to play what ever sound he desires to play.  All are united to play what the Master says to play. It is time to get alone with the Master and know what He wants from us. As the Church, we need to be playing His beautiful symphony. That is not what we are hearing, but if every Child of God will listen to the Conductor it can happen quickly.

There is a change in the air for the people of God.  God is stirring hearts and bringing us into the unity of prayer. Prayer for repentance as a whole and prayer for the lost because our time is coming to a close. Our open window may be closing soon and there are still many who are not saved. It is time to pray! When we pray in fervency the windows of Heaven open and prayers will be answered...the Truth will be heard, souls will be saved, the work will be done, and the Bridegroom will come for His Bride! You Can Know The Truth! 

God's Favor Requires Embracing God's Truth!

Jeremiah 2:8, “The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.”

The priests, pastors and prophets lead the way for Judah into apostasy. Through the words of Jeremiah, God was revealing a pathway to victory. But there is only one way to secure God’s favor. Judah must acknowledge their defiance of God’s law and return to God in repentance and submission. Through the prophet Jeremiah, God was pleading with Judah to return to Him and to His Favor.

What is the parallel for today? The leaders of the churches in America have led the way toward apostasy! The leadership of the churches in this nation must bear the responsibility for the conditions in the churches. A congregation will not rise above their leader. Then, it becomes the responsibility of those leaders to represent God’s Truth in word and deed. Godly  leaders will lift up God’s standard which is God’s Truth. True leaders are co-workers with the Lord Jesus Christ through the abiding presence of the Holy Ghost. God said that He would lift up His standard when the enemy comes in an overwhelming force. “So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19

We are experiencing now the onslaught of the dark forces released from the Satanic abyss. The enemy is angry that the Church of Jesus Christ would dare to rise up and oppose him. But now is the time for that very thing.  Every pastor, leader and congregation has been pressed by the will of a carnal society to accept all people and lifestyles. This external influence has pressed into the Church creating internal conflict. The pressure of inclusion and compromise has led to a deviation from God’s Truth.

However, God has a standard for us to embrace, accept and model if we are to name the name of Christ. God’s standard is Holiness. God requires repentance and a turning away from sin to the holiness of God’s Truth. Ephesians 5:25, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Godly leaders must preach the glorious Gospel of God’s Truth. Jesus is returning for His Church made ready by the washing of the Word that His Church may be presented to Him Holy and without Blemish.

Lord I must know you in the Power of Your Resurrection.

Not in the eyes of men, but in the eyes of

the Great I Am.

It is not in who I say I am or even in who I think I am,

Nor is it in the people I think I know.

It is not in the words I write or any good thing I might say.

It is all in you Lord and who you are!

You Lord, are the heartbeat of everything.

You are the source and strength of my life.

You are the bread upon my table.

You are my rest when I lie down.

You are the fire that brings me warmth,

And the breeze that cools my brow.

You are my healer, my faithful sustainer,

My teacher and my inspiration.

You are the Light that directs my path.

Lord you are the wheel that keeps on steering.

You are the wind that blows upon my sails.

You are the anchor when my ship is tossing.

Lord, You are my Everything...

These things I feel I need and you have provided

But most of all...

I need Your RESURRECTION POWER...

I must have YOUR power...

Power to arise on That Resurrection Day...

Whether in the ground...

Or up walking around...

Lord fill me with Your Resurrection Power! Philippians 3:10, "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” 

Jesus Is Our Benchmark!

Ephesians 4:13, “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:"

A bench mark is something that serves as a standard by which others may be measured or judged. Jesus is our bench mark, He is our base line, He is our standard for living. We must go to Him every day to put our lives and all things in them into proper focus. We must begin in Him and with Him. It is there that we receive insight and instruction for our assignment. It is there that we receive spiritual strength and motivation for the mission ahead. We should not attempt to move forward without His guidance and anointing. He prepares the table before us in the presence of the enemy. We shall eat and drink from His table and prevail before our enemy. Jesus is our strength and our victory. He leads us beside the still waters and restores our soul. He is our source, our strength, our redeemer and in Him we can trust today and every day as Christ Jesus, our Lord. Thank you God for the assurance that only you can give!

Jesus is our bench mark. He established His position in Gethsemane. He came to die but all flesh is appointed to death. But in Gethsemane, Jesus submitted to death, He chose to die as the Son of man to prove that He is the Son of God. The fleshly man would die but the Spirit man would live on. That is what happens when we meet Jesus at the cross. We submit to death. We choose death to the fleshly man so the Spirit man can live on. But, we must go through our Gethsemane to get there. We must come to the end of ourselves and allow Christ to take charge of our lives. We are literally consenting to the death of the flesh that we can experience life in the Spirit through Christ. Gal. 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” 

Put Your Trust In Jesus! by Myra Boozer

Wishing everyone a Blessed New Year...I pray we give our attention to God more than ever and stand with Him and His Holy Word...I pray we give time to those around us as though they are family and depend on us...I pray for strength and encouragement to come just in our time of need...I pray for love to send forth its power to bring in the lonely and the hurting from the cold that has settled on our world...I pray for truth to invade our lives as a strong and mighty wind stirring in our souls...I pray for unity to prevail in the hearts of all believers so that the world might see and know that God is alive and working among us...I pray for peace to surround us like a strong light coming from the throne room of God...I pray for joy, the kind that is deep-rooted and cannot be shaken by the howling of the enemy...I pray for eyes to see the beauty that is in everything we hold...I pray for ears to hear the whispers of our babies as they pull on our heartstrings and long to be close to us...I pray for guidance from above as we travel the road we have never traveled before...It is all new and our hearts are excited but our minds are in question as to what this New Year holds for each and every one of us...Trust in Him who will not leave you...Put Your Trust In Jesus! 

Jesus Christ, Create Your Good Work In Me!

Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today in my human weakness aware that any good thing in me is what You have created. There is no substance, no state of mind, or conscience that transcends the work of the Holy Spirit in me. I thereby yield myself to the work of the Spirit. Take me, prepare me, and use me. If there be any good thing in me, use it for Your honor and glory. Jesus Christ be glorified in my life!

I covenant with You to be what You desire me to be. I pray that my mind would be as the mind of Christ, that my mouth would speak the words of Christ, my hands would practice the deeds of Christ, and that my feet would take me into the way of Christ. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. May I ever walk in Your Word!

Lord, have mercy upon me and my house. I am forever Yours. Be glorified in me! Create Your Good Work In Me!
